I spotted a picture of Zhang Zhehan from Word of Honor sporting a side-flip. That made me think of some of the cutest/hottest/coolest/epicest (that's a word now) side flips.
The pic that started it all. Zhang Zhehan. I find it the cutest.
I particularly like Wang Yibo's sideflip from Legend of Fei. He carries it of quite well and I think it is the coolest.
Quite possibly the prettiest of the lot. But then, when it comes to Xiao Zhan, I am biased. He's gorgeous.
Speaking of gorgeous, how can I not mention Hu Ge. If that man touches water, it evaporates. He's that hot. So yeah, his side-flip is the hottest.
Cannot ignore Zhang Ruo Yun's stylish flip from Joy of Life. He rocks this hairstyle. I like him better with his hair open.
Most adorable side flip goes to Song Jiyang. Surprising, because usually the adjectives I attribute to this man are ethereal, or elegant, or otherworldly. Didn't think adorable would be the one I'd go with for him.
What adjective can I give the drama-queen that is Jiang Cheng? Wang Zhuocheng himself is adorable, but that's not a word I can use to describe the character. So I guess I will call his side flip the angriest? LOL.
And then there's the Diva. The side-flip to end all sideflips. Liu Duan Duan's Li Chengze wins the most dramatic side-flip of all.
While the award for the sexiest one goes to Wallace Huo. (Still recovering from this one)
So apparently I can’t keep focused on rewatching any dramas right now (while I wait for all of the subs of ‘the imperial coroner) so we started up a new one! Or a new to me one since it’s not a new drama at all.
Decided to give this one a go since it’s been on my watch list for a while and it came up in the suggestions of @dangermousie (Sorry if ya don’t like being tagged.) as a whumpy drama during an ongoing cdrama whump post about who looks the best suffering. This drama is just about the only one mentioned I haven’t seen or attempted. So, we giving it a go.
Somehow I didn’t get whumpy and gritty from what I’d seen of it on mydramalist. Looked kinda eh from all those.
I have never been more happy to be wrong in my life.
First damn scene... we are in for a wonderful drama! I can tell!!!
Our ML is fighting in an underground fight club/gambling den of some sort and looking like he’s been dragged through hell.
They even have spiny sword cages so you can choose to impale your opponent instead of beat him to death/unconsciousness. I like this place.
Two of the first C-dramas I ever watched were Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace (2) and Story of Yanxi Palace (3) and I really thought Nie Yuan was Qianlong Emperor in both of them 🤦♀️ I genuinely need to get my vision checked.
A very happy birthday to my wonderful friend @smylealong...PART ONE!!!!!
I am SO happy you've listed your favorite dinosaurs and even MORE happy that they match the number of your favorite Asian actors in our very scientific study and they're pretty evenly split, C and K :P
So first up, to keep it alphabetical, are the Chinese actors!
Hi, excuse me for being late to the game, but why did no one tell me that there is a 2015 xianxia called The Journey of Flower starring Zhao Liying AND Wallace Huo as a pair of ill-fated lovers where Wallace plays ZLY’s cold master who takes her in despite her being destined to ruin him? Umm…will some kind soul who’s seen this drama tell me if it’s worth a watch?
In this version of the story, the Step Empress is Qingying/Ruyi of the Ula Nara clan. This historical drama is set during the Qing Dynasty. 87 episodes. Zhou Xun as Ula Nara Qingying. Wallace Huo (Taiwanese actor) as Hongli. He was also in "The Perfect Couple".
