the vminjoon set - this moment is so specifically catered to my (our) interests, from vmon being in their own supermodels on catwalk bubble to jimin walking into the frame like a greek god reincarnated and then immediately realizing what a /good/ angle he stumbled upon for /the/ perfect vminjoon family portrait 🤍 also this kind of concert footage is notoriously difficult to color and you did a phenomenal job with it as usual, the colors are so vibrant and lively especially their skintone like i can tell there are about 3 different lightings/tints around their faces and yet you defeated them all!! without exaggeration, i think you're one of the most skilled gifmakers when it comes to coloring concert footage, like you always know just how much vibrancy you can push for and you make everything stand out >while< keeping their skintones looking natural enough, not too orange nor red!

A/N: I’ve been having a lot of soft feelings for Namjoon lately, and when I saw that scene in Run BTS! Behind the Scenes with vminjoon in the hotel bedroom, I knew I had to write something soft and comforting. Going to Jimin’s bedroom after they finished for the day was a no-brainer for Namjoon. While Jimin was still eating, he decided to catch up on some work, so he got on the bed and shut off the external world. He had been so focused on the notepad on his lap, the stress of finding the right words for this new song bothering him, that he did not even notice them getting closer to him. He had no idea how much time had passed, but Jimin was finished with his food and Taehyung was there too. He was startled by the object suddenly being lifted out of his hands, raising his head to meet Taehyung’s intense eyes.

“What are you doing?”

“I should be asking that, Namjoon-hyung. We are here at a hotel for a small staycation, cameras are off now, yet you are still working.”

Namjoon grimaced, knowing that Taehyung was right and he should be resting. “But I need to…”

“You need to relax, hyung.” Jimin propped his head on Taehyung’s shoulder from behind. “You’ve been working too much. No worries though! Now that you’re in my room, we’re going to remedy that.”

Taehyung nodded in agreement, “I know you’re our leader and you are the best there is, but you also need to know when to stop.”

Jimin sighed, coming around to sit at the foot of the bed, looking at Namjoon. “This is just like the last Bon Voyage, hyung. We were there camping, enjoying ourselves, and you were crumbling with stress, overworking yourself. Let us take care of you, please.”

“Please, hyung.” Taehyung repeated, sitting on the other side of the bed. “Forget about being our leader for tonight. Just be our Namjoon-ah.”

Namjoon looked at the boys and he couldn’t help but admit defeat in the matter. He dropped his pen on the bedside table, taking a deep breath and willing his body - and mostly his mind - to relax. Jimin went to the bathroom and started filling in the bathtub.

“Jimin, wait, I already showered!” Namjoon got up and started going in his direction.

“Yeah, you showered. We’re running you a bath. You didn’t take a bath, did you?” Upon his silence, Jimin smiled and continued. “Tae, give me the bath bomb.”

“A bath bomb? Really?”

Taehyung was the one to respond. “Don’t judge our methods, hyung. Now just keep lying down and we’ll let you know when the bath is ready. What else do you need?”

“I… I don’t know.” Namjoon slumped his shoulders, looking lost. Jimin and Taehyung’s hearts clenched in pain at Namjoon’s expression. In that moment they felt like they were certainly doing the right thing by making him forget about work if only for a couple of hours.

“I can order some good coffee for you, how about that?” Taehyung sat down again, pressing his body against the older. “Here, get my phone and choose what you want, Joon-ah.”

The leader didn’t say anything, but Taehyung felt him nodding, getting the offered phone. Tae paid attention to the order so next time he could just arrive with Namjoon’s favorite coffee to surprise him.

Perfect, it would take a little longer to arrive so it would give him enough time to soak in the bath.

They led Namjoon into the bathroom, and wordlessly he let himself be maneuvered and undressed. He accepted their help to get into the bathtub even, letting Jimin aid him in lifting one of his legs then the other while Taehyung held him up, supporting his body from behind. He sank into the warm water, finally feeling the tension slowly seeping out from his body as the bath bomb fizzled. The boys dimmed the lights, letting Namjoon close his eyes for a few moments in complete silence while they massaged his hands and arms.

“What did I do to deserve this?” Namjoon’s voice was so soft and low that the boys barely heard him. He felt a soft pair of lips press on his forehead and sighed again.

Jimin’s voice was as soft as Namjoon’s when he answered. “Nothing, and everything. You work so hard and you take care of us, you deserve this and so much more.”

“Just trust us and let go, hyung.”

He let his body go limp, and before he knew he felt fingers wiping away tears he didn’t even know were rolling down his cheeks. The sensation of emptying his mind was overwhelming and he tried to contain his sobs, but it became too much too suddenly, and so he finally let go, letting the noises come out louder in that room, feeling protected by two of his lovers.

When he calmed down and the water became colder, they helped him out of the bathtub, gentle hands drying him with a soft towel, his eyes still closed. At some point, Taehyung left and came back with his coffee, helping him sip it gently with the straw, not wanting to close his eyes and come crashing back into reality. The boys turned off the bedroom lights and opened just a tiny fraction of the curtains, enough for the moon to shine into the room, the soft light illuminating their bodies.

They helped him into his underwear, one leg after the other, and he felt the fabric slowly sliding up his legs. He heard the rustling of clothes being taken off, and they made Namjoon lie in between their bodies on the bed, skin on skin, comforting and warm.

Namjoon was not someone who initiated much physical contact, but he let himself be held tight in their arms; Jimin’s smaller frame seemed much bigger enveloping his body from behind and Taehyung’s body turned to his, head on his chest, whispering sweet words into his skin. He fell asleep like that, in the warm embrace that made him feel taken care of and safe.
