I do find it odd that sso doesnt (or hardly) do some sort of visiual storytelling about the state of Jorvik ingame. Like we see the places change and being updated and we know this is happening because sso mentions it on their social media, but i would love to see it being shown in the game. Especially since they do weekly updates and therefore can make small changes like that over time. Like when they updated the riding hall. They couldve shown us that the riding hall would be updated by having like construction workers and equipment around it. Not even neccessarily making questlines or tasks, just some sort of visual representation. Like in the shopping mall, there is scaffolding in the highest level representing that there is construction and therefore there isnt anything. I like that, as long as you as a studio dont abandon/ forget about it. Which i guess they did with that. ups. And i know stuff like that is like very small and it doesnt make the game money, but i would just like to see that.

Well, those games that are special to me are also in this way or another special artistic pieces, so it kinda works here, so: Okami- stunning visiual artstyle and beautiful storytelling. Shadow of the Collosuss- definitely one of a kind game that makes you wonder if the goal you wanna reach is worth the things it needs to be accomplished (for me at least). Child of Light- beautiful artwork and rhyming dialoges, plus princess with a sword. Puppeteer- again one of a kind with beautiful setting
I love all these games! Haha you have good taste. 
Re: Shadow of the Colossus...unf....UNF...UASNDFASFN so good breaking expectations by making you question your quest. It is done SO WELL and subtly and without overbearing lore.

Digital Storytelling and Branding
Coming into this course I did not know what to expect. I  learn a lot about branding and telling the story of the brand. Although all go the assignments helped me enhance my understand of branding there were a couple of assignment that really opened my eyes and that was the branding voice assignment and the brand archetype assignment. The brand archetype assignment s like assigning a personality to your brand. it makes you look at your brand more of a person and less of a business. this helps you connect more with your target audience and their needs. Also the brand voice gave the brand a distinguish voice that is unique. The brand story helped to connect the brand emotionally to its target audience and their needs. This assignment was powerful because it gave me a different outlook on the brand and how it can be used to connect with the target audiences emotionally. Going into this my thoughts on branding was that of just visually. I have learn that branding is more than visiual. It is identifying emotions, personalities, voice and using these to connect to the target audience.

ok like i LOVE the original monument valley but like.... i love the second one too.......... like i actually teared up at parts ok, i love this fucking game
#i didnt.. CRY but i teared up#like i love ida.. ok.......... but like.. fuck#ro and the kid are so god damb CUTE....#and the colors are absolutelt phenomonal like i took 175 screenshots???#and he MUSIC is so fucking GOOD justthe music itself makes me emotional#ALSO when u move shit around it makes musical noises and it honestly contributes a whole fucking lot to the music overall???#like its makin me wonder how they will release the soundtrack officially when most of the main noises are from YOU movinf around?#and if that was an intentional effect then its so fcking cool.. SO cool........#ALSO YOU GET TO DRAW THE SHAPES YOURSELF ITS SO GOOD#literaly there isnt a SINGLE thinf i dislike abt mv2!!!!!#also its longer than the original mv game (excluding forgotten shores and ida's dream)#my like... only complaint is that the og totem isnt there. i love blue totem but it isnt the same... but that isnt even a proper complaint#its just me missin totem...#and the way ir shows ro and her kids relationship progress as the kid gets older#al the storytelling is told thru visiuals except for the rare time the ghosts/whatever they are in mv2? talk#honestly that holds tru to og mv too but like.. mv2 also has the development of their relationship and its so subtle bur when u rlly think#about it... GOD i love this fucking game#im gonna play it again tonight#my laptop should be back around tuesday or wednesday so IM GONAN.. START DOING FANART THEN BOYS..#the bread has spoken#god i feel disloyal by sayig i like mv2 more... but like it actually got me emotional...... thats so rare#i still love love love the original mv and its still special in that it is the original
