It really is hilarious how severely Caleb Covington underestimated the Phantoms' love and loyalty to Julie & Co., though, like he went "work for me or die" and the boys thought about Julie, Flynn, Ray, Carlos, & Victoria and went "pffft time to die then"

Hiiiii! Victoria, peony, homophobia please!
Two prompts to go my friends! (Sorry they've been so off schedule lol, I'm hoping to have the last one up tonight as well). Since my brain needed an even number and I've now posted 7 Julie POV fics, 7 Rose POV fics, 7 Flynn POV fics, and 7 Carrie POV fics, I decided to round off the last two with some special guests. Thanks to @a-tomb-with-a-view and @joyandthephantoms for rigging my inbox <3
This prompt takes place in a new au @joyandthephantoms and I have affectionately dubbed "homophobia." WARNING: HOMOPHOBIA. The gist is-- Ray Molina deserves to be an imperfect parent Sometimes and that means he needs to make mistakes and unlearn some things after he's hurt his children with them. Don't worry, he'll get there. Enjoy!
When Victoria gets home from a long day at the office, her niece is crying on the front porch.
“Ay, querida!” Victoria cries, getting out of the car immediately to rush over to her. “Julie, what’s wrong? What are you doing here?”
A quick once-over does nothing to clear up the situation. Julie doesn’t appear to be hurt— she’s wearing shorts and a t-shirt with a butterfly on it, and there’s no sign of blood on any of her exposed skin, no scraped knees or obviously broken bones. Just tears streaming down her face as she sits between the two patches of Victoria’s peony garden and a slight tremor to her hands as she tries to swipe them away.
“Julie, nena,” Victoria pleads, sitting down on the porch next to her so she can pull her niece into a hug. “Dime qué te pasa. Should I call your papi?”
“No,” Julie hiccups, shaking her head. “No, please, don’t— I told him I was going to the library to study, I— I don’t want him to know I’m here.”
Something sour burns in Victoria’s chest. She holds Julie tighter, even as her tone turns serious. “Julie, if you expect me to lie to your father, you better have a good reason.”
Julie sobs, clutching tightly to Victoria’s blouse, and then she says, “I told him I’m gay, Tía.”
Victoria goes very still. Her mind races with things to say— trying desperately to think of the right thing to say— because clearly however Ray reacted wasn’t what Julie needed to hear. “Okay,” she says finally. “That’s news, ¿sí?”
Julie sniffles, tense in Victoria’s embrace. “There’s this girl in my class… Dad kept asking me if there was a boy I wanted to take to the Freshman Social, but there isn’t a boy, and I— I know that’s not really something we’d ever talked about as an option for me, but I didn’t think he’d—”
She cuts herself off with a fresh round of tears, and Victoria doesn’t know what to do, so she just keeps holding her, shushing her gently, praying to God and Rose for patience and strength.
She tries not to hold any anger for Ray in her heart, not until she knows the whole story, anyway. He’s a good man and a good father. He’s also Catholic, from a smaller town and with older parents than Victoria and Rose’s. He’s not perfect. She can’t expect him to be.
“What did he say, mija?” she whispers, pressing her lips into Julie’s curls.
Julie takes a shaky breath. “He said what I was feeling was unnatural. Th-That I needed to stop thinking that way, that I shouldn’t tell anybody, that as soon as a nice boy came into my life, I’d change my mind. He said… He said Mami always wanted me to be safe and happy and I couldn’t be either if I chose that lifestyle.”
“Ay, Dios mío,” Victoria breathes, and gives up on patience. She and Ray Molina are going to have words.
“Tía,” Julie says, sniffling. “Would Mom be upset if she were still alive?”
“No,” Victoria promises. “No, nena, she’d be so proud of you. I’m certain of that. I’m so proud of you. You didn’t do anything wrong. And your papi will come around, too, okay? I’ll make sure of it.”

For the generated AUs, I got Supernatural Is Known AU + Orphanage AU ^^
Okay but Caleb Covington's Home For Extraordinary Orphans. He's not exactly evil, but after 20-plus years of dealing with everything from mermaids to were-elephants, he is Grumpy.
The Molinas always wanted a big family. Most Werewolves do. Something about a big pack just makes them happy. Not all of them turn, Julie and Victoria don't, but Rose, Ray, and Carlos do. (There have been So Many Arguments in the past about Carlos chewing on Julie's shoes.)
Except Rose found out that after her cancer, she wouldn't be able to have any more kids. They'd been trying for some time but hadn't had any more after Carlos, and now there was no more chance to have any at all. They mourn for a year, before talking it over as a family and deciding that pack is pack and they don't need to be blood related to be family. When Julie is fourteen and Carlos is ten, they finally get approved to adopt.
Victoria goes with them, if only to make sure they don't 'bite off more than they can chew'.
They meet a lot of kids, and just like Victoria expected, they want to take home Everyone. She has to be the voice of reason that no, they do not have a big enough back yard to convert into a lake to adopt that mermaid girl. And adopting Willie, the raccoon shifter, was a terribly unsafe idea because Carlos still hadn't learned to control his chasing-prey instinct. Do they not remember the ordeal with the Henderson's cat?
Eventually, Carlos and Julie come running up to their parents, dragging just about the palest young boy Rose has ever seen.
"Mami, this is Reggie!" Carlos proudly proclaims. "He likes dogs and music and pizza so he has to be our big brother."
Reggie is a sixteen year old vampire who is just grateful he got turned after he was allowed to drive. It's better than being fourteen for the rest of his (after)life, that would be rough. Oh shoot sorry Julie. It gets better, he promises.
Ray and Rose are just so charmed by Reggie and the way he naturally fell into a big brother role for Julie and Carlos that they decide yes, they will adopt a sixteen year old vampire. No they do not care that he won't age. Once he actually matures mentally into adulthood (which vampires do, just a lot slower than than humans) they will help him get emancipated.
Victoria is not there to talk them out of it. Victoria, in fact, is in Caleb's office, getting the paperwork done to adopt Willie.
("What? I said it was dangerous for him to be around Carlos until he gets his prey instinct under control during the full moon. I don't turn, my prey instinct is fine! The only thing I hunt is a good bargain.")
So they take Reggie and Willie home, and things are great. Willie and Reggie were friends at the orphanage, they get together for Family Dinners every Friday except on Full Moons, everything is great. Reggie fits in really well and admits that even before he was turned ten years ago, he didn't have a great family, so having two parents that care about him is really nice.
Except sometimes Reggie acts in a way that can't be attributed to being a vampire, or adopted, or maybe a little traumatised from spending ten years in an orphanage run by a grumpy werepanther. He zones out, and sometimes he talks to himself, or laughs at nothing. Ray and Rose love Reggie, and are fully willing to support their new son and all his quirks (Ray immediately started learning about Star Wars when he realised Reggie was obsessed), but they also want to make sure this isn't anything mental illness related that will hurt him.
So they talk about getting Reggie evaluated, about asking Doctor Turner if she has any recommendations for therapists who specialise in vampirism... But Reggie overhears them.
And then Rose overhears Reggie. Talking to himself in his room again. Except this time it's not under his breath.
"No dude, don't worry about it. I'll just... I'll make something up. I mean, you've always said that I might be autistic, maybe we can just... Nobody's going to find out and send you back, I promise."
Which is of course when Rose pushed open the door before adopting a now Very Familiar Pose to Reggie. The Mom Pose. Hands on her hips, eyebrow raised.
The boy on Reggie's bed slowly started going invisible again, and Rose pointed at him. "Don't you dare!"
He stops fading out of view. He looks to be about Reggie's age.
"Can you just turn invisible, or are you a ghost?" Rose asks. "Because if I find out you've been letting someone go hungry under our roof, Reginald, you are grounded, mister."
"I'm a ghost," the boy in the bed said. "I'm so sorry, it's just that, you were taking Reggie, and your sister was taking Willie, and they're all I have and I just couldn't stay there and I'm so so sorry..."
The more he talks the more solid he looks and Rose is not sure if that's a good thing or not, so she just interrupts him. "Right, we need to call Caleb right now."
"No, don't send him back!" Reggie said. "Send me back instead, please, you'll love Alex, he's great, he's funny and cool and he likes music and pizza too. I mean he can't eat it anymore but-"
"We're not sending anyone back," Rose promises, wrapping Reggie in a hug and hovering a hand near Alex' shoulder. "But we do have to arrange some paperwork so Ray and I don't get brought up on any kidnapping charges, alright?"

Thinking about how when the boys came in while the Molina’s were eating dinner, they saw Tia and probably just immediately assumed that she was Julie’s mom, and so when Julie tells them that her mom is dead, it was probably an even bigger bombshell dropped on them

Thinking about a moment when Julie is either a senior in HS or freshly graduated and Tia asks her for a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. She wants to spend time with her niece before she moves off into the big wide world. After everything Victoria has done for them, and because she loves her, Julie sees no problem with pushing band practice later that day.
Tia arrives in the whirlwind she is, and tells Julie “Grab a jacket, were going to market” and Julie just assumes that Tia needed an extra set of hands and it’s a nice place to spend time together. Once they get to the farmer’s market, they go from booth to booth looking at the produce. They talk about school and the band, Carlos’ games, gossip from Tia’s pilates class, but anytime they find something Tia wants, she goes into great detail showing Julie what to look for to get the best, most ripe produce. She explains what vegetables ripen off the vine while showing her which things were picked too soon. She tells her which booths have always overcharged for their products in her experience to avoid, and makes sure she knows which booths have the most authenic longaniza and other dominican products.
Once they get everything, they pack up Tia’s SUV and head back to the Molina house, sipping on the boba tea they treated themselves to. At this point Julie is a little confused because if the items they bought were for Tia, wouldn’t it just be easier to take them back to her place? Once they arrive all is explained when Tia states “Help me get everything inside and then i’m going to show you how to make your bisabuela‘s chambre recipe.” and then she scoots on out of the car to start bringing things inside.
It hits Julie that this is a recipe that she would have learned from her mom, had life been a bit gentler to them, and an ache builds in her chest as she helps. Tia carefully explains every step, starting with kitchen basics and knife safety and then showing her how to prep each ingredient for the stew. The ache grows stronger as the kitchen begins to fill with it’s aroma, throwing Julie’s mind back to her childhood when her mom would make this on cold nights.
But once the stew is finished and they sit down to eat, Julie can say she had a good day. It connected her to her mom in a new way she hadn’t thought of before and she is grateful to Tia for that opportunity.
They make it a weekly appointment. Every Sunday, Tia shows up and teaches Julie another family recipe, even asking Ray for some of his family’s traditional recipes. And when Julie gets ready to move out, Victoria gifts her with a bound recipe book filled with all the recipes they made together.
Recipe I referenced for this.

idk how to actually ask prompts or if ur still doing these (feel free to delete this one if ur not) but i have this scenario in my head where Ray take his 4y/o Julie to the park with his wife and a 5y/o Reggie comes by his back "Dad! Dad, look what i found!...you're not my dad." and Reggie can't actually find his dad
Hello Anon! Yes still taking prompts, sorry this took so long! Irl things were taking too much energy so I've been really slow on the prompt fills. I hope this finds you well! And I hope this matches up with what you were thinking, it's a really good idea!!!
TW: Implied child abuse and neglect.
"Swing, swing!" Julie exclaims, pulling at her parents' hands as the playground comes into view.
Ray laughs. "Of course, mija, we can do swings," he tells his 4-year-old daughter.
"Might have to just be you on that one though," Rose tells him, glancing down at the baby strapped to her chest. "I think Carlos is starting to wake up."
Ray leans over to peck her on the cheek. "Of course, I got it."
"Swing!" Julie cries again, more insistent this time.
Ray chuckles and allows her to tug him towards the tall, metal swing set. Julie clambers up onto one of the seats and Ray ducks around the chains to get behind her.
"Ready, Julie?" he asks, placing one hand on her back.
"Yes!" Julie cheers.
"Ready, set, go!" Ray calls as he pushes her forward.
His daughter giggles as she flies through the air, first up and then back down towards Ray. He can't help but echo the sound as he pushes her higher and higher. Not too high, she's only 4 after all, but enough to give her that magical feeling of weightlessness that Ray misses from his own childhood.
He glances over at one point to see Rose going down the little slide with a gurgling Carlos in her arms. He wishes he had his camera on him so he could get a picture of it. Ah well, another time.
Julie protests when he misses a push so he turns back to his little girl. Her ponytail is bouncing all over as she tips her head back. Ray thanks God every day that Rose knows how to handle her curls. He wouldn't have the faintest clue where to even start with them.
"Dad! Dad, look what I found!" someone yells from behind him.
Ray thinks nothing of it until he feels a small hand tugging on his black and green overshirt. He looks down to see a little boy, probably a little older than Julie, with dark, straight hair that falls over his eyes. Through the fringes, Ray can see the boy's delight and excitement quickly turn to confusion.
"W-wait, you're not my dad," the boy stutters, stepping back quickly.
"It's okay, no worries," Ray assures the boy, giving him a wide smile. He scans the playground quickly. "Is that your dad over there?" he asks, pointing to a man sitting beside the sandbox who looked to be around his build.
The boy squints, then shakes his head. "No, that's not him," he responds. He stares around at all the grown-ups there, and Ray can see him getting tenser with every passing second.
Ray drops into a squat so he can be on eye level with the kid. "Well how about I help you find your dad?" he offers, smiling.
The boy seems unsure. "Mom wouldn't like that," he mutters, dropping his eyes to the ground.
Stranger Danger, Ray thinks. He's glad the kid is cautious at least. "I bet your mom will just be relieved that they found you," he reassures the boy. He holds out a hand. "I'm Ray."
"Reggie," the boy says. He hesitates, then reaches out to shake Ray's hand in his tiny one.
"Who're you?" Julie asks suddenly, jumping off her now slowed swing to run up beside Ray.
"This is Reggie," Ray tells her. "We're gonna help him find his dad."
"Okay!" Julie agrees, grinning through her crooked front teeth. She turns to Reggie. "Hi, I'm Julie, this is my dad!"
Reggie returns her grin slowly. "Hi Juwie."
"Ju-lee," she corrects, giggling.
Reggie goes red. "Sorry, sorry," he stutters, his smile gone and his eyes widening.
Ray frowns at that reaction. Who was teaching a kid this young to be this upset over a simple mistake? Lots of the kids in Julie's preschool class had done the same thing.
"It's okay," Julie says, suddenly alarmed. She darts forward and wraps her arms around Reggie's shoulders.
Reggie seems startled by the hug, but after a second he returns it. Ray's chest feels warm at how Julie has so easily made the boy relax.
When Julie lets him go, Ray clears his throat and glances around the playground again. "Reggie, what's your dad's name?" he asks, getting back to the task at hand. The boy's parents must be frantic at not being able to find him.
Reggie frowns, thinking. "Well most of the grown-ups call him Rob, but mom calls him a word I got in trouble for saying at kindergarten."
Ray doesn't let himself dwell on that second part. "Okay, Rob then. What's your last name?"
"Peters."
Julie smiles. "That's my teacher's name."
Ray chuckles. "Well Julie, Peter is your teacher's first name. It's Reggie's last name. Like how your last name is Molina," he explains.
He racks his brain. He can't think of a Rob Peters that lives in their neighborhood, and that's most of who comes to this park. "Do you know your dad's phone number?" he asks Reggie.
Reggie shakes his head. "He gets mad if I ask about his phone."
Ray isn't sure what to do with that information. He just knows he doesn't like it. But that will have to wait. "Okay, that's okay Reggie," he assures the boy. "Where was the last place you saw him?"
"By the slide," Reggie answers, pointing. "We came over here in the truck and he took me to play."
"Your dad brought you here, but he's not here now?" Ray clarifies.
Reggie nods silently, biting his bottom lip. "He likes hiding sometimes, but I'm really good at finding him."
Ray makes a mental note to mention this to Victoria later. His sister-in-law is a social worker. Hopefully Reggie is just blowing things out of proportion because he's young and doesn't have a solid grasp on the world yet, but he'd rather be safe than sorry. Would rather Reggie be safe.
"Okay, well what does your truck look like?" he asks. "Is it still here?"
"It's blue, Dad uses it for work," Reggie tells him, looking around for the vehicle. His brow furrows. "Where's the truck?"
Ray spots the first tear escaping from the boy's eye. Julie must see it too, because she takes a couple of steps forward and pulls Reggie into another hug.
"Don't worry, my Papi is super good at finding stuff," she tells him. Then she laughs. "Unless it's his keys. Mami always has to find them for him."
Reggie lets out a watery chuckle at that. "My mom never finds things for my dad," he says. "She just yells right back at him."
"Everything okay over here?" Rose inquires, walking up to them with Carlos balanced on her hip.
Reggie retreats behind Julie, but Ray offers his wife a worried smile. "Don't worry, Reggie, this is Julie's mom, Rose," he tells the boy. "Reggie can't find his dad," he explains, rising to his feet.
"Oh no," Rose murmurs, frowning.
"I think his dad might have left him here," Ray adds in a hushed tone so only she can hear. "His truck is gone and Reggie said that his dad likes hiding from him."
"He doesn't know a phone number or an address?" Rose questions, mirroring his volume.
Ray shakes his head. "His dad's name is Rob Peters, and he drives a blue truck, but that's all I know. If he doesn't show up soon, we might have to call the police."
Rose winces. "I hope it doesn't come to that," she says. Then she smiles down at Reggie and Julie. "Well, I have some snacks in my bag," she tells the kids. "Why don't we all sit down and have something to eat. Your dad will probably be back any minute, Reggie."
Both children brighten immediately at the word 'snacks' and Ray thanks heaven for the millionth time for granting him the privilege of being married to Rose Molina. His wife leads them all over to a bench, where she'd left her large purse. She produces crackers and string cheese after a minute of digging around. Ray and Rose had learned soon after having Julie that the number one rule of having little kids was to always have food on hand.
Reggie takes some string cheese and starts tearing it open happily. Julie grabs for the crackers. Carlos whines a little and Rose laughs.
"Don't worry, you can eat too, mijo," she tells him, unbuttoning her shirt enough that he can nurse.
Ray chuckles and settles on the ground with the kids, listening to their very serious discussion about the merits of different snack foods. He wonders if Reggie lives close enough that the two could play together again, under less stressful circumstances. They were getting along pretty well so far.
Just then, Ray hears someone yelling. He looks up to see a man storming towards the playground. The guy might be taller than Ray, and definitely a lot broader. Rose, Reggie, and Julie notice the commotion a moment later.
"Dad!" Reggie exclaims, jumping up. "Dad, I'm over here!"
The man, Rob Peters apparently, turns slowly. His angry expression doesn't soften when he sees his son. "What're you doing over there?!" he demands, crossing his arms. "What have I told you about talking to strangers."
Reggie hangs his head. "I'm sorry, they were being nice," he mumbles.
"I don't care," Rob Peters snaps. "Get in the car."
Ray finally unfreezes and jumps to his feet. "Ah, you must be Reggie's dad," he says, taking a step towards the man and trying for a friendly smile. "I'm Ray, we were helping Reg-"
"I don't care who you are," Rob Peters barks. He takes a few steps forward and grabs Reggie by the arm. "We're going home, kid."
And then they're gone before Ray can get another word out. Reggie manages a little wave over his shoulder. Ray slowly turns back to his family to find them all staring after Reggie as well. Rose glances back at him and their eyes lock.
Ray knows they're in agreement. They're going to mention this to Victoria soon.

I might be writing a fic about Rose and Victoria, and I always wondered who was the oldest?
You know, something about their personalities makes me think Victoria's the older sister.
I think it's that Rose's presence in the show and the books was like
"So I was in multiple rock bands before and now I'm a waitress at the Orpheum and I wear leather vests and this one time I went to Vegas with my boyfriend."
and then Victoria's presence was like
"I'm going to show up in my sister's house wearing a pencil skirt and bring my family dinners and worry about my niece's education."
Rose is the fun and adventurous little sister and Victoria is the responsible caretaker older sister.

I never in a million years would've thought that I'd have comfort characters that are literally just two bestfriends and their frenemy, three ghost guys, an adorable kid, and an awesome dad. Julie and the Phantoms is the very definition of comfort. It's love and loss all rolled into one and tied together with a beautiful bow of hope. That little memory filled garage feels like home.

Apple orchard dates for Rulie?
For Reggie's birthday that summer, Julie had adopted an apple tree with him. Sure, it wasn't as exciting as her gift last year (adopting a dog together), but he still beamed when he read the certificate. Included was a trip to the orchard, where you could pick all the apples from your tree to take home. "I love apple pie!" he crowed. "Can we really go visit my tree in the fall?"
"Yep," she beamed, and he cheered, showing off the picture of 'his' tree to all his friend, proudly talking about how Strong and Productive their child was, look at all those apples. Julie tried not to laugh, or blush at the implications.
So before her visit, she called and orchard to make sure everything was ready for them, and on a beautiful sunny autumn day, they set off, Ellie happily panting in the back seat next to the picnic basket and blanket they'd brought. And Reggie's camera, of course. He loved being Ray's assistant, but he was gunning for taking over some clients on his own instead of always being second shooter.
So of course Julie agreed to 'wear something pretty' so he could practice his skills, though she insisted he did too, so they could take some couple portraits with the little remote as well. So Reggie had swapped his t-shirt for a nice button up, and Julie had made sure her dress matched his flannel, and even Ellie was wearing a cute red bowtie slipped on her collar.
They had a blast all day. The orchard also had some alpacas that Ellie was just fascinated by, and they worked together to get as many apples as they could carry back in the baskets they were given off of AppleToni ("Get it? Like appletini, but a name!").
They spread out their picnic under the tree and had lunch, and maybe a little nap together. She let Reggie have his little photo shoot, laughing when he kept flirting with her, saying things like how it was too easy to get good pictures with such a beautiful model. They took some pictures together, as well, and then, as golden hour was nearing its end, she pulled him close, into a kiss.
"I have a confession," she said, against his lips.
"You already tried one of the apples? I know, I saw you sneak a taste," Reggie said, smirking.
"There's another tree here for us," Julie said, taking his hand and leading him away. He followed, confused, looking back at his camera with a little nervous glance, but the place was deserted other than them. Julie had made sure of it.
A few rows later, they came to the biggest tree in the orchard, the one that had been there originally. The tree was lit up with fairy lights, making it look truly magical in the nearly set sun. And hanging from one of the branches was a wooden sign. Reggie blinked, going over to read it.
Reggie, I want to put down roots with you. Will you marry me?
He turned, gasping when he saw Julie on one knee behind him, with a little open ring box.
"Really?" he whispered, and she nodded.
"I love you more than anything," she said. "Will you marry me?"
"Yes!" Reggie said, all but dragging her up and into a kiss, as Ellie happily bounced around them, barking. Julie carefully took the ring out of the box, sliding it onto his trembling hand, and then kissed him again.
Reggie looked startled when he suddenly heard cheering, as their friends and family popped up from behind several other trees. Dad pulled Reggie into a hug, welcoming him into the family, and Luke and Alex were already popping open a bottle of non-alcoholic apple cider and filling glasses for everyone. Reggie just kept wiping at his eyes to catch the happy tears, staring at his ring finger in awe and delight.
And if in the spring, they got married at the same orchard, blossoms all around, it was just as perfect as their engagement had been.

Summary
“Ray?” she called his name again. “Qué pasó?”
Ray raised his head with a sigh, a hand going over his face, his arms eventually coming to rest on his knees in front of him as he stared ahead. “There’s no room in the fridge,” he said as if that explained everything. Which honestly, it did. It explained everything, but it still didn’t make things better.
“Okay,” Victoria said after a few seconds of silence and he heard a soft thump. Finally turning to look at her, he saw her leaving a container full of… something on the counter. He nearly wanted to laugh.
