Ah it’s all good anon. It’s natural to be curious. I am still only writing for BTS. I just haven’t in awhile. I needed a break for a variety of reasons and I took it. I am avoiding setting goals of any sort at the moment with regards to my time here. However, I actually wrote something for BTS just this week, but I’m debating on whether to publish it (and finish it heh 😅). Then I gotta make sure @xjoonchildx likes it or no dice.

Viola, I re-read the Drabble for the Yoongi soulmate fic and an absolutely idiotic, 100% half baked idea came to me so I came to pass it on. I know you’ll do with your fic as you please, as is your right and no pressure to even entertain it, but I thought it might be a funny turn in a crack fic direction, idk

So the premise is obvious, they’re roommates and the soulmate thing is that they have to see each other naked. Now, what if Yoongi accidentally sees OC naked? Like, let’s say she’s fresh outta shower and her towel slips in the hallway or he bursts into her room to scold her for eating his last tangerine and she’s changing? That’s all well and good, because now HE knows they’re soulmates, but he can’t exactly go “hey so funny thing I saw your tatas and started tingling, we must be something right and that thing is soulmates, uninstall tinder from your phone right now, we’re soulmates”. Instead, he starts this elaborate plan of shedding his clothes in front of her over time. Like, one week he ‘forgets’ to put on a tshirt while making coffee. Another week, he tries to subtly lose his towel after showering, but she just happens to look the other way. Eventually he grows frustrated and goes to someone for advice - and the advice he’s given is ‘do the naked man thing from how I met your mother’. He laughs it off at first, but as time passes he realizes this might be the only way to deal with this circus and waits, naked and freezing his ass off, on the living room couch waiting for oc to return from a grocery run.

(Excuse my brain for springing this on you, it’s literally 3:03 am in my part of the world and I take no responsibility for this idiocy)

Oh my GOSH so OK. THIS WAS SO CLOSE TO ORIGINAL PLOT. Like HOW did you get in my head.

Now. To be clear. It is REALLY not what happens at all in the story now, but THIS was basically along the lines of my first idea and that is WILD.

I actually think I’m gonna do it. Not with Yoongi, but I have other stories planned in this universe and I’m thinking maybe Seokjin?

Thank you! I kid you not this story is ALIVE. First it was a drabble. Then I was like—ok maybe a short one-shot…or a long one shot…ok so now there is two parts…

It is a bit different. That’s something I really like to do—kind of try unexpected things with classic tropes. I mean don’t get me wrong—certain tropes are classics for a reason. but I just want to do something fresh with them (if I can 😅).

When I first read the request I thought of all the ways I have read about soulmates finding each other and suddenly I had this idea…

What if they were right under your nose, but you couldn’t see it?

And thus the naked soulmate universe was born.

And I made them roommates. Because why not.

The story has turned out to be a lot more emotionally charged than I first thought it would be….

I’m glad it wasn’t TOO much of a cliffhanger lol—I mean at least she’s safe. But I can’t tell you what it means to hear that people still love it after all this time. I’ve never written anything that inspired so much passion in myself or in the people I shared it with. I do want to finish it. I think I need to finish it in some ways… We shall see!
