A Little bird told me
Danny knew his dimension didn't need him. It had been a long time since it stopped needing him, a long time since he had to be content to spend most of his days in the Infinite Realms. His sister and friends were too busy these days to pay attention to him; Danny understood, it's not like he could work or have a job, considering he'd stopped growing at 21 and people would start asking questions eventually.
Honestly, it was a relief that he'd even been able to grow up to that age, Clockwork's knowing look told him he had help with it.
So, he distracted himself by learning things from the other ghosts in the Realms, who were definitely as bored as he was. He even managed to get Vlad to teach him duplication, but it wasn't that interesting after a while. Though he had become interested in the different dimensions that Clockwork watched over.
The problem was that there was one dimension that had caught his attention (one full of heroes and magic) but they always made the worst decisions. There came a point where he decided to interfere, Clockwork seemed amused so he figured he wasn't going to stop him.
As he thought about how to infiltrate (definitely not as a hero, he loved his retirement, thank you very much), he remembered a rather...odd power he had recently discovered.
Danny had discovered that he could shapeshift. The problem was that he could only shapeshift into dead animals and well, while it was fun to scare others, he didn't know how well people would take a ghost crow with ectoplasm coming out of it's wounds.
Figuring it was better than nothing, he transformed into a bird and flew through the portal; he flew towards John Constantine, who seemed fed up with his life. Constantine knew the bird was fucking weird the moment it sit on his shoulders but he had better things to take care of, like the demon in front of him.
Said bird apparently knew the way to defeat the demon, because he started naming the ingredients needed to banish it. Constantine saw it with narrowed eyes and asked if he wanted his soul, the bird pecked him, looking annoyed.
From there, seeing that the dead bird was doing no harm, Constantine let it stay. It was oddly useful and he had sold his soul for less.
Danny spent his days whispering things to Constantine to defeat enemies and the hellbazer gave him cookies in return (the halfa really wanted to be offended), when the League saw Constantine with a dead crow on his shoulder they wondered if he had finally lost his mind.
John commented that his name was Ghosty (he was pecked again) and that he was useful, unfortunately for the superhero community, Constantine had never been that useful and therefore they couldn't complain (but why did he suddenly know all the existing gossip?, he kept bribing them with it! His crow looked amused too).
Every time Constantine won a battle without explanation, someone would make the mistake of asking how he did it. With a shit-eating grin, Constantine would point to his shoulder and say "a little bird told me."
Danny was so tempted to shape-shift just to bite his head off, but the cookies were good.

AHEJAHAJAHS HELLO BELOVED ^_^ I won't lie I used to find him kinda mid but in today's episode just Switched something in my brain. Something about his calm, collected voice very plainly stating that if Eclipse tries to do anything, he'll rip him to shreds.... UGHHHH IT HAD ME TWIRLING MY HAIR N GIGGLING FOR REALZIES HEJAHAJSHD
He's a pretty secretive and "speaks in riddles" kinda guy, so while we don't outright know everything he's done, he did very much tell us today that he 1) basically killed his Moon to take his knowledge because he thinks that his Moon just wasn't using it right, and 2) he has installed... something, into Eclipse's head painful style. We don't know what it is yet but he said that if he can do that to Eclipse, then he'll tell him how to maybe bring someone back from a dimensional collapse. Not that Eclipse had a choice either way LMAO
Before, I thought his collected mannerisms were a bit cheesy because it's so blatantly inspired by Evil Morty and it was like OOOOKAY MAN but he's actually shaping up to be pretty a damn interesting character!! He's more involved in the multiverse side of things and, considering he said he "reprogrammed" a bunch of the people in his dimension (<which, looking back, could be another blatant lie, like how he said he just made his Moon more "compliant"), he's just a very eerie presence.
He knows a lot and that leads to him being a very important person to talk to in most scenarios, but he also knows he's valuable to talk to, so he strikes these deals that people aren't thrilled about but usually just go "well. its this or I know absolutely jack shit" and it fascinates me.

random violetta thought
when we're talking about the possibility of tomás staying at the end of season 1 and ending up with violetta, most people always bring up the "and what would've happened with him, diego and león?" and honestly i feel like diego wouldn't have showed up in season 2.
Season 2 would've mostly been just another tomás vs león showdown (ending with tomás going away [like in season 1] and león and violetta ending up either together or as "friends" [🤨 as they say] after breaking up) and in season 3 we would've had diego vs león with diego entering as a substitute for clement (that was absolutely useless, let's be serious)
+ leonetta would've still been endgame because i feel like it would make more sense
#the plot of season 2 would've changed a lot (at least in the start) but i feel like it would've made sense like this (hypothetically)#or diego could've also been foreshadowed in s2#with some short moments/cuts of ludmilla in her bedroom ranting on the phone about violetta with this unknown person#(either via call or chat)#or her talking about this grand plan and how she's gonna bring down violetta with the other interlocutor making some snarky comments#and it's gonna be just some small random filler scenes that seem to go nowhere sprinkled here and there#never really expanding on it as if she just randomly made an online friend or something#maybe even mentioning something about these convos with naty (without using diego's name)#and her replying as if she knows what she's talking about (because she does...kinda)#(she just knows who diego is and can try to guess what they're talking about knowing ludmilla but not what they're planning)#then BOOM random ass man (diego) appearing in season 3 and he's not only an antagonist but also a love interest for violetta#i would've also centered more his whole dynamic with ludmilla in this season and them being an chaotic/evil duo#violetta castillo#tomás heredia#león vargas#diego hernández#violetta

#actually yes there is something more terrifying and that is being in a car with a drunk driver. happened to me once when I was 24#and I got into the car of a friend who was (unknown to me) an alcoholic and very good at concealing drunkenness until she was in a car.#one of the worst experiences of my life and nearly ruined a friendship. sure permanently altered one. anyways.#that was scary as shit. I tried so hard to stay behind this car because I was afraid of them getting behind me and... idk rear ending me#and I tried so hard to avoid it but they did something VERY unsafe to get behind me and I basically took the next turn to get the fuck away#god I hate that. driving under the influence should get you exploded via instant karma. ugh#also I started tearing up once I'd finally gotten away from them so uh kudos to the drunk fucking driver for helping stave off hockey tears.#go get arrested immediately as your prize#don't drive drunk kids:) or high:) just fucking don't:)

Side Order is fucking amazing. However, I cannot lie I could not stop going "XENOBLADE 3?!" at every plot/lore reveal in it
Of course, it's only surface level similarities and upon looking deeper at the lore there are significant differences. But it is still funny how similar the basic premise is.
#Side Order spoilers in the tags. Be warned and be aware#When Order first came up and explained what it is I yelled “MOEBIUS??!!!”#and then Marina explained the Memverse#She created splatoon's own Origin and Aionios#and then Palettes and how they're the soul of a character manifested as a weapon.#they turned Xenoblade 3 into octopus rougelike#and it is fantastic#even Order/Smollusk's goal of creating a changeless world where the inhabitants have no real free will of their own?#based on the collective desire for stability and fear of an unstable and unknown future held by each and everyone?#that is literally Moebius and Aionios#The collective fear of change and desire for stability manifesting and creating a world where nothing changes#After hijacking a supercomputer#again only surface-level similarities#cause Aionios isn't completely digital like the Memverse is. Aionios is the real worlds of Alrest and Bionis/Mechonis fused together#via Origin.#Further more#Origin was created out of necessity to save the two universes of the Xenoblade series.#Marina created the Memverse not out of necessity but rather the good of her heart#and then the Memverse needs to be freed from Order's control only to free the wills of the people#while Aionios is actually dying and everything will cease to exist if Moebius isn't stopped and free will restored#because whether they like it or not change will happen. and refusal to accept that can be detrimental.#Both Xenoblade 3 and Side Order both share a theme of accepting change despite how frightening it can be#it's interesting to see how they portray and commentate on that in similar yet different ways#it's the Xenoblade 3 brainrot. it's what's causing me to notice this#xenoblade chronicles#xenoblade chronicles 3#xenoblade#xenoblade 3#splatoon 3 side order#splatoon 3 side order spoilers
