FAQ
What tag should I use?
#percahliaweek should work nicely - you can @ us @percahliaweek so we can reblog your contribution on the corresponding day.
Will you be doing anything on Twitter/other social media?
We considered it! However, as other social media sites have proven unreliable (especially lately), we'll be hosting the event only on Tumblr. However, you're welcome to post your work wherever you like!
Can I do _ for the event?
Yes. Yep. Seriously, so long as it focuses on Perc'ahlia (and is appropriately tagged to avoid spoiling people), you can do it. Cosplay, inspired recipes, beadwork, podfic, go wild! Well, with the caveat that no hateful content will be permitted - don't use a joyous event to rain on someone else's parade or promote hatespeech, alright?
Is NSFW content allowed?
Given the ship in question and just how canonically horny they are for eachother - yes! However, we request that you tag this content as #nsfw and use the appropriate content filter on it. If posting in the Discord server, keep it to the 18+ chat. Be mindful of potential minors in fandom space + people browsing content in public.
I want to participate but haven't watched Campaign 1!
We welcome fans of The Legend of Vox Machina with open arms. As a result, it's requested that campaign fans do their best to avoid spoiling show fans for anything beyond what Season 2 has shown (Umbrasyl's defeat). That means late Campaign 1, the oneshots and any mention of them in other campaigns should be tagged as #cr1 spoilers (using just this tag for simplicity). Show fans, if you want to remain unspoiled, I recommend you block this on Tumblr and mute spoilery channels in the server.
Is there an AO3 collection for the fanfics?
One can definitely be set up closer to the start date!
Does my submission have to fit one of the prompts?
That would be ideal, yes! Anything freeform should be posted on Day 7 for Free/Random prompts. But fitting the prompt can be very loose - maybe you just use the word as a motif, or you take it in an entirely unexpected direction. We want to encourage creativity and fun more than anything else.
I don't know what to do for the Free/Random day!
We have a few recommendations (we are unaffiliated with the websites linked): Random page of the Encyclopedia Exandria Random word generator OTP prompt generator AU generator
Ghost’s Spell prompts [roll 2d20?]
Wild Magic Surge table
Life events table
If you've made prompt lists and would not mind them being featured here, reach out!
How did you choose the prompts?
Prompts were chosen over a day or two while talking with friends - they were intended to be open-ended enough to allow flexibility while also touching on key elements of the ship! Some obvious ones (ex: courage, heart, that sort of thing) were left out so that, hopefully, they could be included next year. If there's enough interest, future prompts could be chosen via fan poll.
Will this be an annual event?
We sure hope so! Hence optimistically keeping back some prompt ideas for the future. Let's see how this goes ;3
Why late September?
On September 29th, 2016, the Critical Role episode 'Passed Through Fire' aired, which features an iconic Perc'ahlia moment (no spoilers for show fans!). Following Burr's poll on which scene is most iconic for the pairing, we decided to have the week celebrate the anniversary of that episode.
So why did you announce this so early?
Because Maggie has been a gremlin about the idea since April. Also, most fans in this space are adults with jobs and responsibilities - allowing more time to create without a rush benefits everyone.
A Discord server?
We have set up a little server for this event on Discord, mostly to hang out with other Perc'ahlia fans and motivate eachother to work on our respective projects. The current link is HERE - let us know if it's not working!
Who is hosting this?
At the moment the users running this blog are @burr-ell and @blorbologist! If the event expands beyond our abilities, we will look into taking on other users to help out - you'll know if we need a hand <333
Any more questions? Feel free to send in an ask and we'll do our best to answer in a timely manner!

Likewise, you will not be able to use the advanced search/filtering function (which allows you to filter via project difficulty/free vs paid patterns ect) without an account. You should be able to still see most of the patterns if you choose not to make an account. Making an account is free, if you choose to do so.
Disclaimer 2: I’m just a crocheter/knitter that loves Critical Role! I do not own any of these patterns, nor am I associated with their creators or ravelry. This is not an ad, and I get nothing if you click these links or buy these patterns. As such, the joy from you guys reblogging this and leaving comments is all I get for putting this together, so please do so! And send me a pic if you end up making any of these!**

One of the more intriguing and unique bits of Daggerheart is the card-based system that players use to choose their character's abilities. Each of the game's classes (which contain a mix of traditional fantasy classes and new classes like Guardian or Seraph) have certain core abilities. However, each class has at least two options similar to subclasses that come with an additional unique ability. Also, each class has two "orders" with different powers represented via different cards. Players choose two abilities from their class's two orders when they start the game and choose additional abilities when they level up. A player has no more than five order abilities active at once, with other abilities going into a Vault and can be swapped out during either downtime or some kind of rest. Ancestries and communities are also represented by cards that are placed on top of a player's character sheet. Each ancestry and community background also comes with some kind of ability or trait spelled out on the card, ranging from advantage on certain kinds of checks to a mechanical benefit like extra armor.  The result of character creation in Daggerheart is a three page character sheet with several cards placed in different slots and certain pages tucked halfway underneath the "main" character sheet. However, all of a character's abilities and stats (including spells, weapon abilities, and more) are represented on the page and there's no need to refer back to a rulebook for clarity on a specific ability, spell, or rule.
Tumblr media
we should mention the Death mechanic of Daggerheart, which is a lot more meaningful than what we've seen in games like Dungeons & Dragons. When a player runs out of Hit Points, they have three options – they can choose to die in a blaze in glory with an automatic critical success on their final action, they can choose to become scarred and permanently remove one of their hope slots to recover, or they can risk it all by rolling their hope and fear dice and letting the dice determine their fate. If the hope dice is higher, their character recovers, but if the fear dice is higher they die. Starke mentioned that there's only one resurrection spell in Daggerheart that is an one-off ability, so it seems death will have a higher impact and stakes than in other fantasy TTRPG games.
This feels in line with Matt's feelings about Death and resurrection in D&D. He's not a fan of how easy it is to resurrect people. So making it harder and with more cost and consequence feels like a natural development.
Also, I feel like Critical Role is slowly incorporating some of the Daggerheart rules see what happens in the first fight in campaign 3, episode 67.
Daggerheart feels really exciting and fits with CR's way of playing both narrative and crunchy!

Republicans are decrying the plea deal reached between Hunter Biden and the Department of Justice (DOJ) as a "sweetheart deal" and proof of a double standard in federal prosecutors' treatment of former President Donald Trump—but Trump himself appointed the United States attorney who signed off on the agreement.
The DOJ on Tuesday charged Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, with failure to pay federal income tax and illegally possessing a weapon. His legal team reached a deal with federal prosecutors that allows him to plead guilty to misdemeanor tax offenses, and he is expected to reach a deal with prosecutors on the felony charge of illegally possessing a firearm as a drug user, the Associated Press reported Tuesday morning.
The deal has sparked criticism from many Republicans, who view the agreement as a slap on the wrist for Hunter Biden while the DOJ has thrown more severe charges at Trump, who pleaded not guilty to 37 charges in the case surrounding whether he improperly stored classified documents, including at least one related to the U.S. military, at his Mar-a-Lago residence. Republicans have claimed the Justice Department has been weaponized against Trump under the Biden administration.
"People are going wild over the Hunter Biden Scam with the DOJ!" Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.
However, U.S. Attorney David Weiss, who offered the agreement to Hunter Biden, was appointed to that position by Trump.
Weiss, the U.S. attorney in Delaware, launched the Hunter Biden probe in 2018 after being appointed to the role by Trump in 2017. The U.S. Senate confirmed his appointment by voice vote in February 2018.
Newly-elected Presidents typically request their predecessors' U.S. attorneys step down when they come into office, but Biden has refrained from removing Weiss over the Hunter Biden investigation, as doing so would likely draw criticism and allegations of trying to interfere in the investigation.
Former U.S. Attorney Gene Rossi told Newsweek in a phone interview that while parts of the deal may be generous to the younger Biden, the fact that a Republican-appointed attorney made the call likely indicates that "politics did not sway the deal either way."
"The decision by Republican U.S. attorney seems to in fact throw cold water on their major argument that this was a sweetheart deal and that they did it to help President Biden's reelection chances," he said.
Still, Rossi said he has never seen a defendant receive only a misdemeanor charge for failing to report taxes worth $3 million but would need to see if Hunter Biden took "any specific acts that he took to either hide, conceal or divert attention" from that $3 million to determine if the deal was "overly generous."
Newsweek reached out to the Trump campaign for comment via email.
Christopher Clark, an attorney for Hunter Biden, told the Associated Press: "I know Hunter believes it is important to take responsibility for these mistakes he made during a period of turmoil and addiction in his life. He looks forward to continuing his recovery and moving forward."
Karoline Leavitt, the spokesperson for the Trump-aligned Make America Great Again Inc. super PAC, slammed the deal in a statement posted to Twitter.
"As President Trump predicted, Biden's Justice Department is cutting a sweetheart deal with Hunter Biden in order to make their bogus case to 'Get Trump' appear fair," Leavitt tweeted. "Meanwhile, Biden's DOJ continues to turn a blind eye to the Biden family's extensive corruption and bribery scheme. The American people need President Trump back in office to appoint a truly independent special prosecutor that will finally bring justice."

The Legend of Vox Machina
Episodes 7, 8 and 9 Are Out!
Tumblr media
As of this evening, the new episodes of "The Legend of Vox Machina," Season 2 (7, 8 and 9) are Number 1 on Amazon's Top 10. Be sure to catch the Watch Party for Episodes 7, 8 and 9 on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 10:00PM Eastern (7:00PM Pacific) on the Critical Role Twitch channel.
Tumblr media
This Thursday on Critical Role, the most frequently asked question was "Where was Ashley?" Work? Vacation? No one knows, but she appeared in this week's episode of Critical Role (Campaign 3, Episode 47) via satellite location.
Speaking of Ashley Johnson, those of us who enjoyed "Talks Machina" and "Between The Sheets" with Brian Foster will be happy to hear Brian is ready to take on the world and do what he does best! Brian started the year with a brand new set for his Twitch stream and will be conducting interviews again on his new set, something so many of us have been waiting for since we realized "Between The Sheets" was over.
If you love "The Legend of Vox Machina" the animated series, "Talks Machina" can give you some behind-the-scenes insights from each of the cast members from the original campaign. "Talks Machina" Playlists can be found here:
Talks Machina Episodes For Campaign 1
Talks Machina Episodes For Campaign 2
youtube
Today was the inaugural run for Brian's new set. He's still perfecting the package and probably will be for the next few broadcasts, but the interviews have been lined up and he's ready to go! Ashley looked incredibly comfy on the couch and I loved being able to hear about the people they've met and the places they've been together as snippets of their history slipped into the conversation.
Tumblr media
For those of us who have missed seeing Henry on the set of "Talks Machina" with Brian, good news! Brian's new, comfy set comes complete with doggos! Henry and Bullock can be seen hanging out wherever they are most comfortable throughout the stream.
In addition to his interview schedule, Brian is poised to do a complete "The Last of Us" game playthrough once the PC version is released by Naughty Dog on March 28th. If you love HBO's "The Last of Us" series, it's a great opportunity to learn more about the source material and perhaps learn some behind the scenes tidbits if Ashley is around while the gameplay is streaming. For those unfamiliar with both the game and the HBO Live Action Series, Ashley Johnson is the voice of Ellie in the game and makes an appearance in the series as Ellie's mother.
youtube
As a side note, if you loved "The Last of Us" in any of its forms, Pedro Pascal will be hosting Saturday Night Live tomorrow, February 4th on NBC.
If you love "The Legend of Vox Machina" please be sure to watch it as often as you like on Amazon Prime to keep the good energy going!
Be well blessed and well loved always. ❤️

I've not been watching Campaign 3 for a while now, but Twitter and Tumblr have been feeding me crumbs...
Now, an idea has sprung up in my head that I want to explore, but I don't know if I will write for it yet.
I mostly write for Vox Machina, I find that dipping my toes into writing for the other parties makes me uncomfortable, but this fic wouldn't be so bad.
Idk, maybe some day.
But here's sort of how it would start, i guess?
SPOILERS FOR CRITICAL ROLE CAMPAIGN 3 FROM AT LEAST EPISODE 51 ONWARDS
Thinking about Vex suddenly being startled by a feeling in her chest that she hasn't felt for a very, very long time.
She's concerned immediately, but for the wrong reason.
What sort of pain is this? Did she need a cleric?
Then it hits her.
But that can't be right…
Then the amulet goes off, the dragon tooth one Keyleth gifted to her oh-so long ago, from where it rests on her necklace stand.
She snatches it at once and rushes to find her husband, her chest aching more than ever, and finds Percy as he jumps out of his armchair in his study clutching at the amulet around his own neck.
Knowing the other is safe, they quickly rush to check on Pike, who was here to train Gwendolyn healing magic and emergency aid techniques.
Pike is fine, and her own amulet is back at home, so Vex & Percy's sudden and frantic appearance startles her and Gwendolyn.
When Pike is informed of what's happened, she immediately scries on Grog.
Grog's fine, he's been off doing Grog things, but he's stopped upon realising his amulet is doing that weird thing again that it hasn't done since... Well. In a long time.
They try to check on Scanlan next, but there's interference now - it's alright though, because he's suddenly appearing in a puff of purple magic looking terrified.
That just leaves Keyleth and Taryon then…
Pike tries to scry again, setting her target to Keyleth, but she just can't get through.
Scanlan admits he had struggled controlling his magic when coming here, which concerns his friends greatly - what was going on?
Still determined to try and check on the others, the group gathered some supplies before trying to teleport to grab Grog from out in the woods nearby…
But that's not where they end up. Instead, they find themselves ending up all the way in Emon of all places.
Scanlan is embarrassed, assuring them it isn't his fault, but the group's attention is soon turned to the sky.
A light is shooting into or out of the moon known as Rudius... That can't be good.
They rush to find Allura, who is franticly scrambling around her tower while Kima and Gilmore argue off to the side.
Magic is broken, divine and arcane... Uh oh.
And now these three pillars of magical strength Vox Machina have looked up to for years are now more terrified than Vox Machina has ever seen them before.
Something was happening.
Today's the solstice, right? Wasn't Keyleth doing something related to that?
They need to get to Zephrah, but they don't know how.
Was Keyleth safe? Was it her who set the amulet off?
It's stopped flashing by now... But they don't feel like she's been lost... Is she okay now?
That feeling in Vex's chest has also subsided, but Vex has no idea what that was. (She does, but she refuses to believe such a silly idea.)
The group had to rangle horses, but they eventually set off for Keyleth's home to find some darn answers.
After Zephrah, they can try to find Grog and maybe go look for Tary over in Wildemount.
It takes longer than they'd like, but they get there only to find out she isn't here.
She's in Marquet, actually, dealing with a huge thing that they can't know about.
Keyleth didn't want them worrying about her, of course, but Zephrah could help them get to Marquet via tree.
This magic works, at least.
So they get to Marquet, but they don't really have much to go on, though whispers and rumours direct them there.
Everyone there is dead when they finally arrive, a large machine now dormant.
Black feathers are scattered everywhere, laying in pools of different coloured blood.
Keyleth isn't here, but fallen Ashari soldiers are dotted around the ruins of whatever catastrophe happened here.
They need to find Keyleth.
Vex takes one of the mysterious black feathers and tucks it into her hair.
After searching and searching, they find some first aid supplies and empty potion bottles by a tree big enough for Tree Stride.
They hope this means Keyleth got home, but it means they missed her... Frustrated, they investigate some more.
Percy is curious about the machine but can't figure out how it once operated.
Satisfied they didn't miss anything, the group began the long journey back to Emon and across the sea.
They finally get back and report to Gilmore and the ladies, who are all deeply troubled by the news.
Vox Machina then disembark once more, heading for Zephrah once again.
This time, when they arrive, Keyleth is home - and she's in the worst state any of them have ever seen her in.
Hurt, using her staff as a crutch, she's beside herself with toe-curling anger.
That is, until she sees the innocent black feather in Vex's hair and breaks down.
There is so much to tell them.
There is so much to do.

OPEN DND ONE SHOT ON DISCORD
Hello, I’m planning on running ‘Prisoner 13′ from the upcoming dnd book ‘Keys from the Golden Vault’ on Friday the 17th of February at 6:30 PM CST. I will be the DM. I’m looking for 4-5 people to join me as adventurers! If you are interested, there’s more information below the cut.
How does dnd on discord work? It’s a lot like in person play, I will narrate, you will interact with your fellow party members during exploration/roleplaying. Combat is the only thing different since we won’t have physical battle maps and minis to use.  How will combat work?  I will have a hand drawn map that I will stream via webcam. I don’t paint minis, so it’s a lot of ‘this is a dragon, this is you, what happens?’ Do I have to show my face on discord to a bunch of strangers?  Nope! I won’t be. Are you LGBTQ+ friendly? Yes! Will this be a good space for women? Also yes! Age requirement?  18+ preferred, not out of any explicit reasons, but when everyone is over 18 it makes it easier. If you are younger, let me know as we will talk about it and mention it to the table so nothing inappropriate happens. How much does this cost?  A whopping 0 dollars! Are you a good DM? I had a dnd show for awhile, I wrote content for dnd as a freelancer for a third party publisher for awhile, and I’ve been DMing for four years this summer! I’ve had players stick around long enough to finish 3 campaigns, and that number keeps climbing! I’m not very experienced, is that okay? Sure, as long as your familiar enough with the terminology, we can work together. If you’ve watched a dnd show like Critical Role or Dimension 20, you should be good. I am newbie friendly!  Why are you blazing a post for a one shot?  I want to meet cool dnd friends, and I’m hoping after a trial run of one shots, if we all like each other, it’ll turn into a weekly or biweekly campaign! How long will the game be?  I’m not sure, there’s all sorts of ways the game could be short or go longer. I’ll confer with everyone on how long they can stay, and find a good stopping place if it goes on too long. Then we will do a part 2 if you all want to. You needn’t worry about having to go to bed and the rest of us playing. Will there be a session 0?  Yes and no. For a one shot, I don’t think we need to meet up beforehand, but there will be safety tools in place (such as lines and veils) and what I call ‘hard-no’s’.  What is a hard-no? There are a few things that I as a DM am uncomfortable with running, and therefore won’t. For example, explicit roleplay. This will be covered by a ‘fade to black’ if it even comes up (it probably won’t.) If you had to rate your content like a movie what rating would it be? Pg-13 that allows you to say ‘fuck’ more often than just once. I cuss a lot, but less out of anger and more filling in my sentences.  Can I play homebrew?  Not for a one shot. The limit is officially published classes/subclasses/species/subspecies with stuff Matt Mercer made by approval.  Is there anything banned? Yeah, Silvery Barbs and bigotry.
What if I want to play the one shot but not the campaign you’re looking to start? Yeah, that’s fine. This isn’t a contract.  Can I talk with the other players to build a better team composition?  If you all are the type of players to want to build a group together, you are more than welcome. However, you should be able to go through the one shot playing whatever you like. I will balance for the party rather than the last person who joins getting pushed to healer if there isn’t one already. Your fun is important! If you want to be a tiefling warlock and we have 2 other warlocks, then who cares? ELDRITCH BLAST FOR DAYS, YO! Can my friend join? Yeah, if there’s room.  What if I really want to play and miss an open slot?  The more the merrier, I say. I’m also building a discord server for dnd nerds to have fun, so you could join that one and play something else! What are your inspirations? I love horror, but this isn’t a horror game. What I like about the fantasy genre is how cinematic it can be. It’s fun to narrate, like jumping in the air and bringing an axe down on the dragon’s head while it tries to shake you off, but you hold on! That’s epic! I love that, but I also love down to earth character moments, too. Your party slayed the ancient dragon and now have its hoard. Do you keep it and run? Do you pay off your debt to the Thieves’ Guild? Or are you Robin Hood types? What happens when all three of those are in the same party? Nicholas Eames, writer of Kings of the Wyld and Bloody Rose, is pretty similar to how my games feel, but with a lot less wink-wink-nudge-nudge third wall breaking.  What if my question wasn’t answered here? I’m here to answer questions. My ask box and my direct messages are open!

I'm getting kind of close to another follower milestone (only 11 more to go!!), so I figured it's time to start thinking about what my "gift" should be. I kind of want it to be poses, but idk.
The "walk and talk" poses would be from Hermes's date (1 / 2 / 3)
The stargazing poses would be from Lavinia's date (1 / 2)
The dagger poses would be from a (very long) list of pose ideas I had while watching Critical Role Campaign 1. (there's literally 25 poses on that list...)

Ratatan ‘Gameplay’ trailer, details, and screenshots
Gematsu Source
Tumblr media
Ratata Arts has released the first gameplay trailer, information, and screenshots for newly announced rhythm strategy game Ratatan.
Helmed by Patapon series creator Hiroyuki Kotani, Ratatan will be developed in collaboration with TVT. Its staff includes main artist Nelnal, main sound designer Kemmei Adachi, and .hack series director Kenei Nakasha.
A Kickstarter campaign will launch on July 31 at 9:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. ET with an initial release goal on PC. Support for “modern consoles” is planned via a stretch goal, with Red Art Games signed on to distribute a physical edition of the game in the west.
Get the details below.
What is Ratatan?
Ratatan‘s gameplay incorporates a unique combination of rhythm and strategy where the player takes the role of a conductor controlling the actions of a cute army of “Ratatan” characters. Using commands on the controller, each button represents one of four musical phrases and must be struck in sync with an established rhythm in order to give instructions to the army. Ratatan doubles down on the musical theme by introducing characters equipped with musical instruments that can unleash special skills in battle, along with a more modern movement system while maintaining the same four beat attack-defense gameplay that fans love.
Gameplay trailer cast:
Fortrun (voiced by Tomokazu Sugita)
Harigittan (voiced by Hika Tsukishiro)
Nyandola (voiced by Haruna Yuzuki)
Mimizukyun (voiced by Youhei Azakami)
Keroronpa (voiced by Masaya Fukunishi)
Casting cooperation:
AGRS Co., Ltd.
Ratatan Game System
“Ratatans” are music-loving heroes brought to life with the power of Medama and look like animals that once lived on the planet Redo. They demonstrate their mysterious power by singing and playing musical instruments. Each Ratatan has a unique instrument and skill that the player can use to get an edge in rhythmic battle. For example, Keroronpa, a support-type character, uses a megaphone to stir up the battlefield, raising both party morale and enemy agitation.
