Yarn in a Tree
Warnings: none (I think), let me know if I missed any :)
Pairings: Eddie Brock x reader platonic, Venom x reader platonic
Request: I'd like to request a Eddie Brock and Venom x reader comfort/fluff fic where she makes them hats for Christmas, but it goes completely wrong the day before, her last day of knitting. I'm talking yarn in the tree, yarn in her hair and yarn everywhere. Reader is terrible at knitting but wanted to do something special for Eddie for Christmas because of him no longer having his (ex) wife to be there, she went all out with prepping a ham (to be cooked) some mashed potatoes and gravy, and all the likes on Christmas eve. Definitely tried to finish the hats last minute and had the worst time, it was going smooth before crimus eve and her working so hard she couldn't work anymore and her body just says 'no.' Her entire hat masterpiece destroyed in one night. Venom and Eddie just sitting down with her to watch movies and forcing the yarn away to clean up after Christmas with "The yarn looks good on the tree anyways, adds a little character." And the ways are at the top like a Christmas tree star.Love your writing and all you do for us, your readers. Signed, A.S
Request by: @angelic-simp

Summary: You were just trying to make them some gifts, but it went terribly wrong
A/N: Welcome to day 1 of Book Places 12 days of Christmas :D
Please don’t plagiarize my work, you may reblog if you like but I’m asking that you don’t steal my hard work
Tumblr media
To be completely honest, you didn’t know how it happened.
One minute, everything was fine and you were so close to finishing that you could practically taste it.
The color had been contained to being in your lap and on the cushion beside you, but the next minute, it had exploded all over the room.
All that really had happened was that the knitting hook got stuck and a slight frown had appeared on your lips as you gently tried to tug it away from the yarn.
When it didn’t work though, you began to yank at it harder, only for it to come free and you go flying back, scattering all the rolls upon rolls of yarn in the process.
You quickly scrambled up to your feet with wide eyes, taking in the disastrous mess you had caused.
Yarn was littered all over the floor, through the branches of the tree, and parts of it even stuck to the ceiling.
“Whoa,” A voice said from behind you, causing you to whip around, “What happened here?” Eddie asked in genuine confusion.
Of course, you hadn’t told him about what you were doing.
You had been trying to surprise him and Venom by knitting them each a hat for Christmas tomorrow. Though, you supposed that you had procrastinated a lot and left it till the unnecessarily last minute.
Shoving back the tears that threatened to enter your eyes, you cleared your throat, “I was just trying to surprise you and Venom, and it blew up in my face.” You let out a humorless chuckle as you quickly made your way past the man and into the kitchen.
Venom then appeared beside him, and the two of them sharing a confused glance before following after you, “Hey,” Eddie softly called, gently grabbing your wrist so you would turn to look at him, “What happened?”
You shook your head back and forth, sniffling slightly as you harshly reached up and swiped tears off your face, “Something stupid.”
The two of them glanced back at the living room you had just left, and realization dawned on them.
You had gone through this phase a while back where you were obsessed with knitting, but you never could quite get the hang of it. Something always went wrong, and it wasn’t always entirely your fault.
“It’s not stupid,” Venom tried to comfort gruffly.
Another humorless laugh left your lips, as you pulled your hand away and continued into the kitchen, where you had various kinds of food laid out. There was ham, potatoes, gravy, and rolls.
If you couldn’t knit them their hats, then you would at least make sure they had a good meal for their Christmas.
“Hey, hey,” Eddie called gently, “How about we take a break?”
You threw him a glare that had no danger behind it, “I can't take a break, I already messed up your gifts, I have to make sure that your meal isn’t bad as well.”
“You didn’t mess up,” He told you seriously, “And I don’t want you to worry about this right now.”
“Yes!” Venom exclaimed, “Let us have a movie night!”
Tears began to fill your eyes once more as you looked at the two of them, “I’m sorry,” You whispered.
He put a hand on your shoulder and gently led you back to the couch, brushing off some extra yarn with his free hand while Venom excitedly began flipping through channels.
They noticed your eyes drift over to the Christmas tree and Eddie laughed lightly, “The yarn adds a bit of character to the tree, don’t you think?”
“Yes!” Venom was quick to get the hint, “It looks very well decorated!”
You finally let out a real laugh at his words, allowing yourself to relax and sink into the cushions with a soft smile, “Thank you, guys.”
“Eh,” Eddie shrugged, “Don’t mention it.”

Being Miguel’s daughter and hosting Venom
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Platonic One-Shot]
c/w: major spoilers, angst, gender neutral terms and pronouns (they/them), suicidal thoughts, attempted suicide, no gendered terms used to describe reader, canon ignorance and inaccuracies, if you read the drabble you’ll know you originally just hosted Venom but this time I’m writing you as Spider-Venom
[Unedited]
The sun kissed the Western horizon as it slowly sunk beneath the surface. The gorgeous colors of the settling dusk bathing your New York in the luminous sheen of the golden glow that settles upon the city like a blanket.
You were just finishing up for the day, swinging from a tall skyscraper to tether a web to the very top of a clock tower. Pulling yourself up all the way to the top to perch on one of the very many gargoyle statues jutting out of the tower’s roof lip.
“Hungry.”
“That’s what the sandwiches are for bud.”
Venom settled inside when you tore the wrapping off the sandwich and took a big bite out of the end. Plenty of meat packed into the sandwich but also enough vegetables to sustain you too. Nutrients were vital in your symbiotic relationship with the alien and regardless of where they came from you both needed hundreds of them to keep yourselves alive and healthy.
“I hate the vegetables.”
“Well I like them. They taste better than people do.”
“You’ve never had another person before! You don’t let me eat people!”
“I’m not a cannibal.”
“Hmph.”
You rolled your eyes at the symbiote’s childish behavior, you’ve grown used to it but that didn’t mean you’d grown to like their attitude.
But you had grown to like them, ever since they had attached themself to you on your fourteenth birthday. The same day you very nearly took your own life.
Your life was far from perfect, as a matter of fact you can’t remember a time in your twenty long years of being alive that you’d actually been happy. Really, well and truly happy.
Your mother died when you were five and your father had abandoned you not too long after. About a year and half to be precise, and in his care and his care alone you’d learned that he was the furthest thing from what a proper father should be.
The first five years in which he parented you alongside your beloved mother he seemed guarded. Closed off, angry at the world and everyone surrounding him. And his own personal turmoil seemed to transcend into raising you— as he didn’t put an ounce of love or affection into bringing you up.
At the time, you hadn’t understood. What did you do wrong? Did you make him angry? Why wouldn’t he love you unconditionally? Your mother did.. was it so hard for him to treat you as his own? As if he loved you?
Apparently it was too hard for him, because he didn’t want to do it alone. And when your mother had died of cancer he had attempted to raise you in her honor but failed miserably and gave up within two years.
You were seven when you experienced your first heartbreak, in the years prior under his ‘care’ you had plenty share of devastation and let-downs from him. But none compared to this, no other feeling you had ever experienced before compared to this.
A searing ache in your chest born of self doubt, lack of self worth and value. Because you had believed it was entirely your fault that he was incapable of loving you fully and to the extent of his heart. And it festered in your years spent under different families, the issues regarding how you viewed yourself only darkening as you were let down over and over again.
Given up on— over and over again. And the ache continued to linger, growing in secret places— dark and hateful in your tired heart.
And slowly but surely it had given up on you too, shatter to pieces and cast to the wind to leave you broken and hurt. Vulnerable and fragile to the cold and bitter winds of this cruel and brutal life.
Eventually your mind followed suit, wishing for anything to escape this pain. Anything to leave it behind.
Your luck had a turn for the worst when you were bitten by a spider at twelve and gifted cursed with abilities and skills inhuman and otherworldly.
Enhanced senses, heightened sensitivities and awareness and phenomenal intelligence and strength.
Superhuman.
And for two years you lived with it, not utilizing the powers for any kind of purpose. The heightened healing property of your curse made it hard to give up on this life as you had so desperately wished to.
You tried and tried again— and each time you failed.
When you were fourteen is when you met Venom, you had tested buildings before but never the Golden Gate Brigde. And as you clambered over the rail to stand at the very edge of the bridge’s structure— it happened.
You remember the feel of their texture sliding across your skin, then the pressure you felt as they sunk beneath your skin to meld with your body—
“It wasn’t that bad. You’re overexaggerating.”
“I thought we agreed you’d stay out of my head.”
“I never agreed to that.”
“Venom,” you scolded lightly. Not reprimanding in a way that spat disappointment over ownership. But in a way that spoke volumes of the relationship you shared with the alien. Equals.
“I hate it when you think about that bastard.”
“I know, I’m sorry.. my thoughts get away from me.”
“You have nothing to be sorry for. He made his choice, you are what he made you. And you’re more than worth it. You deserve love just as everybody else.”
They went silent after that and you didn’t bother trying to get them to keep up the conversation. Just smiled softly at their nature— overprotective and fond.
Venom had saved your life when you were at your lowest, the abilities you gained from your spider bite coupled well with their own. And upon latching themself to you they had promised they would make you see the value in life. And you had.. in them.
They were what kept you alive, and you couldn’t be more grateful for them coming to your aid when you needed it the most.
“You’re sweet, you like to act like you’re big and bad but on the inside you’re just a big softie.”
“I regret everything I said.”
“Oh come on, I was thanking you for what you said.”
“Funny how you didn’t actually say the words ‘thank you’ at all.”
You just laughed as they grumbled in your head, but you were swift to straighten and turn serious when your senses tingled. Like a cold rippled shucking down your back to warn you of incoming danger or threats.
Venom growled lowly alongside the tingle and you jumped up, spinning around to face the danger that caused your senses to ripple. And a glowing orange portal suddenly erupted to life just a few feet in front of you. Sliding your mask back on you separated your feet and steadied yourself, prepared and strong in stance.
Your senses tingled again— sharper this time and you stood there on tense silence and a brief moment of absolute stillness. A moment later something was shooting from the portal, something turned out to be someone and you recognized the green suit and grinning goblin mask as Green Goblin tackled you off the building.
You freed yourself from his grasp and shot a web to the corner of the building to your left before pulling yourself free from his grip and onto the side of the skyscraper.
Your jaw ticked as a flicker of annoyance sparked to life in your chest. The very last thing you wanted to deal with after a long day was an anomaly. You were honestly tempted to just call up Peter B. Parker and have him come here and take care of this himself.
Or maybe he could convince the leader he follows to come do it, not that you know his name or anything f about him but from what Peter says apparently he’s pretty damn good at his job.
“Seriously another one? Our dimension can’t be that exciting can it?”
“Right there with ya buddy, why did he have to come here after we already finished up our day too?”
“Honestly, like— a little fucking class wouldn’t hurt.”
You chuckled at their remark before your senses tingling had you swinging away from the spot you occupied previously just as a gas bomb erupted against the brick.
An irritated sigh left your lips behind the fabric of your mask as you perched yourself on a lamp post, the Goblin’s eerie hysterical laughter echoing loud and prominent in the desolate streets surrounding you. Everyone having long since turned in for the night leaving the area free of any civilians which made your job —and in turn Venom’s— easier at least.
The fight that had begun two minutes after Goblin had tried to surprise you with his fucking chemical bombs wasn’t all you had thought it would be. This Goblin was a whole lot weaker than your Goblin, not only that but the guy kept glitching every few minutes.
And you and Venom capitalized on the very golden opportunities that event opened up to you every time it occurred.
And finally taking him down without any damage to the buildings or street was just the icing on the cake, the fact that the whole fight didn’t endanger any innocent people was a plus too.
Things only went to shit when you went back to that portal with Goblin slung over your shoulder and found two different spider variants walking out of it.
“Well what the fuck took them so damn long? Sure, sure no worries we’ll protect our own universe and keep others out too. No fucking problem on our end.”
Again, you found yourself chuckling humorously at Venom’s attitude. Their clear lack of patience and respect for those in charge of keeping the multiverse under control amusing you. Sure, you both liked Peter enough to admire what it was he and the guy he followed did.. along with the other spider variants he works with. But still.. if you’re going to make this your entire career and you’re going to dedicate yourself to the security of the multiverse— at least be good at it.
“Think this asshole got lost, poor wee lamb.” You quipped as you landed on the rooftop the other were standing on. You carelessly threw Goblin off your shoulder and he grunted as he hit the concrete on his back. The sound of pain coming from him almost humanizing him a bit, and you curled your lip derisively as he broke out into a mad grin seconds later.
Whilst you were distracted staring at Norman, Miguel withheld his sudden and intense urge to upheave all the contents in his stomach. His heard felt like lead as it plummeted to his toes, knots in his stomach winding themselves up tightly at the sound of your voice.
“[Y/Name]?”
You looked up when the man of the two variants spoke, and there was a flicker of recognition in your stomach at the voice. Recognition that swiftly turned to course and fiery hot rage that flowed through your blood like magma.
“How dare he?!”
The man pulled his mask off his face and there he was, your father, Miguel O’hara.
“How dare he return here?!”
You took an instinctive step back from him when he revealed his face. And you flinched internally when you saw it, he looked miserable.. eyes bloodshot and brows downturned to put a deep and painful scowl on his face.
He looked broken.. hurt.
And the twisted and vengeful feelings inside you felt good at the prospect of him hurting. You liked that look on his face.. because he more than deserved whatever put it there.
Miguel watched as you stepped back, you didn’t remove your mask as he did. Just stood there frozen as you stared at him. Then the eyes of your mask narrowed and he could abruptly feel the heat of your glare searing into his skin. Angry and painful.
“Parker— that fucking bastard, we’ll kill him.”
“We?” The woman spoke and you looked from your father to her. She had darker skin and a styled afro, her mask was more or less goggles on her face and Venom snickered inside your head at the mental insult you made.
You decided to ignore her question, the passive aggressive tone she took not inclining you to be cooperative with her at all.
“As far as we know Osborne was the only one who got into this universe,” you informed choosing to look back to Miguel to address him instead of the woman. “So gather him and go home.”
“[Y/Name] wait!—”
“Don’t. You’re just here for him right?” You queried gesturing to Norman when you referred to him. Then you were facing Miguel again. “Take him and get out. We’re finished here.” You weren’t granted the chance to see his reaction— immediately doing what you thought was best for you and getting out of the uncomfortable spot his return had put you in.
And you swung away as you ignored the calls of your name he roared into the night. You didn’t want anything to do with him, and there was nothing you owed to that bastard. Not a damn thing.
And as you swung away from that rooftop you felt angry at the fact that you could feel your guarded heart hurt in deep and stinging agony once again— because of him.
And you felt a twitch of disgust in yourself twist itself into a knot within your chest, born at the expense you felt you were dishonoring Venom by being hurt you saw your father again.
After all, it was them that had healed you six years ago when they had first bonded with you. And it was them and them alone that had healed that ache in your heart.
“Kid.”
“Please Venom, not now.”
They went silent after that, and you stayed quiet too as you swung through the city. You just wanted to be at home, safe and comfortable in the warmth of your own space. Just so you could calm the roaring of your blood and thunderous heart in the security and peace that your home brought you.
You knew that now that he knows you’re still alive he’ll come back, and you’re not sure how the next time will go.. this time you just wanted out. The way your heart had picked up and the way your blood quickened had made you just want to be isolated and safe.
You’re not so sure which feeling will take more presence next time— but you could promise this; the rage you had briefly felt, that died behind the feeling of ache and hurt but still lingered, was strong. If it took province over every other feeling next time you could promise it wouldn’t end well.
Not for Miguel.
Not for you.
And not for the multiverse.. the same multiverse he had been so keen on protecting—
The multiverse he had chosen over you.
a/n: I did this during a tattoo on my ribs— and the wipe down continues to be my least favorite part of adding tattoos to my body, cause how can I sit through a tattoo just fine then get weak on the wipe down? 🥲🤌🏽

Get through me first (Dad!Miguel x daughter/Venom!Reader)
I have been a little too into the Miguel fics, especially when there is angst involved. So now you all gotta deal with it.😊
Summary: You were one of the Spidey's that was transported into Earth 1610. You helped Miles save his universe and was able to go back home. That's when your father who you hadn't seen in 3 years recruits you to help keep the multivers in balance. You join, but it doesn't mean your ready to fight him if it means protecting Miles.
TW: Child neglect, death, mentions of death, violence, cursing, angst, lotta angst, daddy issues, issues in general
Tumblr media
You stared down the big portal, after everyone jumped in one by one. You were the last one left. You turn to Miles you looked sad, but happy and satisfied that things are done, and everyone is able to go home.
"Guess this is goodbye." Miles spoke. You sighed and nodded your head.
"We should stay!" Venom's voice was loud and clear for you. Nearly jumped yourself at how loud he was.
"We can't." You responded sternly.
"WHY!"
"We'll die if we stay any longer, you little parasite."
Miles looked at you, with that same look he had when you seemed to be talking to yourself. But he smiled fondly "I'm goanna miss the two of you."
You and Venom were a little taken aback. Some wouldn't refeur to you and Venom as two. Forgetting Venom and leaving him out of the equation fully. "You're a good kid Miles, if you ever need help, me and Venom will be by your side. Promise."
Your words comforted him. Miles doesn't know fully why, but you didn't seem like someone who breaks a promise. And you don't.
"This is no fair. I will make you cry now! cry Y/n, cry." Venom took over your emotions and was forcing you to cry. You quickly pull down your mask and cleared your throat.
" Be safe out there, Miles Morals." You leap off and dive in headfirst into the portal.
It's only been three months since you returned back home. You and Venom back to the routine of saving people and you preventing Venom from wanting to bite heads off and from eating too much chocolate.
One day, while you and Venom visited a restaurant that you and Venom would go to frequently, even before Venom, you were a constant costumer.
"Hey Malik." You greeted the young man in the front counter.
"Hello Ms. O'Hara. table for two as usual?" Malik grabbed a menu, ready to lead you to your usual table.
"Yup." You responded shortly before he took you to your table.
"I want food! give me the ribs! oh oh! Tater tots. Get us Tator tots!"
You chuckled as you looked at the menu to get yourself a few drinks for you and Venom. As you were doing that, you hear someone take a seat in front of you. Your brows furrowed, looking up you take a glance of a man you haven't seen in a long time.
You sighed and kept your eyes back on the menu. "Didn't know you were back in town." You spoke dryly.
The man in front of you inhaled sharply, relaxing himself before opening his mouth.
"I wanted to talk to you."
You hummed, unamused and pulled out your phone and slide it towards him. "I'm a little busy right now. So just put your number in there and we can speak later."
The man sighed. "Please, mi hija."
You slammed the menu on the table. Finally staring him in the eyes.
"Miguel, this is my mealtime. A time of peace, and right now you are not making me feel peaceful. So, I suggest you take my first offer and just put your number in." You were firm with your words, almost threatening.
Miguel paused for a moment, between the phone and his daughter. Seeing that you were reasonably mad at him, he took the phone and entered his number in. He stood up, ready to leave "I'll see you later."
As Miguel walked away, you hear a very displeased Venom.
"What a dick."
You huffed and brought the menu back up to your face.
"Agreed"
"Why are we here. I don't like it here." Venom was complaining about being in the little spider club house, Miguel was walking by your side, he would be getting a little too close to you here and there. Making you scoot further and further away from him.
"We are here to protect our world. You want what happened with Miles happen to us?" You hear Venom groan and shut off for the moment.
"Y/n, I'm really grateful for you being here. We need the help." Miguel stared down at his daughter with a soft smile. You stayed staring straight ahead.
"I didn't do this for you. I got people to protect Miguel." You wanted to make sure he understands that he didn't see this as a daddy daughter bonding moment. The situation he explained to you was serious. No distractions within the workforce.
That will disrupt everything.
"I see. . . Y/n, I just wanted to- to apologize for what I had done. I was wrong, very wrong." You could hear the sincerity in his voice, the regret and guilt written all over his face. You paused and stared at him.
Venom was practically screaming at you to not forgive him. To punch his face. But you didn't. And when you didn't, Venom got upset and took over your arm and punched Miguel hard.
"Oh shi- Venom what the hell!?"
"He does not deserve our kindness; he does not deserve our LOVE! Now bite his head off!" You ignored what Venom was saying and ran towards Miguel's side. "You good? My bad, Venom just gets like that sometimes."
You helped Miguel up. "It's alright, mi hija. You've gotten strong." Miguel had blood running down his nose. But he continued to smile softly at you.
You were quick to remove yourself from him. Clearing your throat and told Miguel to continue.
Being a part of the Spider-society was actually a big help for you and Venom. Being able to capture anomalies before they cause too much of a wreck for your universe. You kept a good distance from Miguel.
Even though he tried to offer time alone together that didn't involve the work as being a Spidey, you rejected those advances.
"Come on Y/n. He really does care about you. He just wants to make up for lost time." Jessica Drew, Miguels right hand woman was trying to convince you to at least try to be with Miguel.
You hummed, clearly uninterested in the conversation. Typing away on your laptop, working on some homework you had to finish for school.
"That sounds amazing- oh, hey can you pass me my cup please?"
Jessica frowns and grabbed your cup, as she handed the cup back to you. She takes a glance down to your bag that you brought and see multiple bracelets, handmade.
"Oh, those from f/n? how's she doing?'' Jess leaned on the wall as she watched you pause for a moment. You were quick to get back to typing.
"She's dead." You say with a slight cringe. Knowing the awkward atmosphere, you were making wasn't one your good for.
Jess was taken aback, not knowing of this news before hand.
"Oh . . . I'm sorry." Jess walked towards you and took a seat next to you. You stayed focused on your screen. Jess gently laid her hand on your back "What happened."
You took a quick glance down to the ground, pausing your typing. Taking in a deep sigh, you continued working "The bridge was falling apart. And I had to choose between a bus with 29 passengers or my best friend . . . f/n ended up having to choose for me. She said her goodbyes then cut herself off from my web."
Your mind drifted to the look on your friend face when she realized it was her time.
You sighed and changed the subject quickly.
"So, like . . .Don't ya'll got paternity leave or something cuz . . ." You looked down to Jessica's baby bump. Jess laughed as you moved on with your work.
"Yo, you needed help-" You froze in place as you saw Miguel in the room Jess. You frown "You wanted me, Jess?" You gave the pregnant woman a look. Jess had said she and she only needed you.
"Oh yes! I wanted you to look over these anomaly cases with me. But I'm not really feeling good." Jess rubbed her baby bump. You gave her a deadpan look.
"So, you'll be working with Miguel!" Jess was quick for someone who wasn't 'feeling well' and got out the room. You sighed and looked to a nervous smiling Miguel. You were displeased with this outcome, but this was going to happen, minus well get it done with.
You walked up next to Miguel and immediately got to work. An awkward silence overcame the air around the two of you.
Miguel kept glancing over to you. Taking in small details, like your suit and how it was in a way some comparison to Venoms when the alien takes over you. The way your fingers fidget when taking a small pause.
The silence soon became too much for Miguel to bare and he decided to speak "So, ho-how's school? Still playing basketball?"
Your brows furrowed "No."
"Oh! Stopped liking it?"
"No."
"Umm . . . did you get benched.?"
"No."
"Are you just going to say no to everything I say?" Miguel had his hand on his hip, a little frustrated by your blunt replies. You took a moment before turning your head to him.
"No."
"Ay dios mio- I'm tying here mi hija. Please I'm begging you. Make this easier." Miguel turns his full attention to you while you were still focused on the multiple screens in front of you.
"And why should I do that?"
"Because I want this family to be happy--"
"Family?" You scoffed.
"--And I want us to be happy together."
"Okay compañero, you threw this little family out the fucking window when you ran off to raise a child that wasn't even yours."
"Language niña." You ignored his warning and kept going
"And you have no right. No fucking right to waltz into my already shitty life and make it worse!"
"I SAID LANGUAGE!"
The two of you were already in each other's faces. Unphased by the others raging expression.
"No trates de reparar algo que está más allá de la reparación"(Don't try to mend something that is beyond repair.)
You walked away from the man. Leaving him the room. Once you got to your dimension, you began to wreck everything in the room. His room to be specific. Not like he even comes back. Too busy with work Too busy with the life that didn't involve you.
You couldn't take it anymore. You began sobbing uncontrollably.
"Y/n, we can't be upset about him now of all times."
"Why is he being worried now!? it's not fair Venom! it's not fair!" Your spoke between your cries. Venom took over your arms to try and wipe your tears. But it just kept coming.
All Venom could do was be there for you, as always, in your time of need.
You stared down at the mini hologram of you cradling your dear friend's limp body. begging he not to leave you.
"You too?'' Miles voice broke out. You looked at him with glossy eyes. Once your eyes met with his sad puppy eyes, you had to look away.
Miguel went on about the canon. And how it keeps everything in balance. If a canon is broken, then a world collapses. That's when it hit Miles, his dad was next. The boy refused to let the spot take yet another precious's person in his life.
But when Miles expressed his displeasre of the canon, Miguel trapped him, you were quick to bang on the forcefield.
"Oey! let him out!"
"He'll destroy the multiverse!" Miguel argued back. Peter B. and Gwen tried to convince Miguel to let Miles go and that he was going too far. suddenly, Miles was able to break the forcefield. You didn't waste time to grab the boy's hand and make a run for it.
The chase was hectic, but you finally got Miles back to HQ.
"Alright niño. This is as far as I can take you. But me and Venom will hold Miguel and the others off." Miles stared up at you with a look of confusion "Wait, you're not coming?"
It was clear he didn't want to do this alone. And you didn't want him to go through its alone ether. You brought Miles close to you and brought your foreheads together. You had Venom exit your body and enter Miles body.
"Venom will give you as much help as you need."
The two of you hear the others approaching. You hugged Miles for the last time and put him in the Go Home machine.
You quickly made yourself placed far away from the machine. You looked back at Miles one last time and smiled.
"Be safe out there, Miles Morals"
Once Miguel came through the doors, he was met with you in his way.
"Just give the kid up Y/n!"
You laughed as your own claws came out. Your set of fangs came in
"You want him? You got to get through me first."
The last thing Miles saw was you and Miguel running at each other.

Hey, feel free to ignore this if you're not wanting to do it. But I've really been thinking about Venom who gets stuck with a reader who isn't good at confrontation. Like he always wants to go fight bad guys but his host has major anxiety and panic attacks just from being asked to order a coffee, let alone be a vigilante. I think it would be funny.
Venom x Reader
Tumblr media
I really enjoy this idea anon, as someone who has anxiety, I can personally relate to this idea, Venom would probably tease you about it at first, but I think once he's properly got to know you he would be the most supportive person out there. Word count:844
"Y/n, you said I could eat bad guys !!!" Venom's head wreathed out of your body and looked at you. About a few months ago, You became venom's host. You promised to him that he would be able to hunt down bad guys and eat them. You know be a whole vigilante thing. The only problem...
Your anxiety.
You have trouble telling the waiter at the cafe what you wanted to eat or try and make an important phone call, Let alone be a freaking vigilante to an alien par... Symbiote.
"Venom I know ok, I just don't deal with confrontation that well..."
"Oh look at you, can't do anything without stuttering or freaking out" He teased you.
"Hey, not cool man..." You glared at him and he stopped, you took a deep breath and tried again to him.
"Look, yes I promised that we would go and stop bad guys and such, but it's not as easy as it seems for me venom, I... I don't know what stops me every single damn time but I just can't go through it in the end. I'm trying to work on it... but I just need help from time to time ok."
Venom tilted his head for a bit looking at you and nodding.
"Agreed, We'll help you y/n... I'm sorry for teasing you..." He apologised.
'It's ok venom, Thank you" You gently patted his gooey head and smiled.
And that he did, venom kept his promise and helped you with anything and everything he could. He wanted to make sure that you were comfortable and safe, letting you know he was still here with you and he would help you. For today on the way to work, you decided to get some coffee, The self-ordering kiosk was broken so you had to line up and order it in person. You could feel the slight panic set in, Venom could sense it.
"y/n... deep breaths, We're right here with you" He gently wreathed a small tentacle around your wrist, gently rubbing it. In a way to comfort you.
"Just walk to the counter, Say that you want *your coffee order* and pay for it, Can you do that ??"
"Yeah... I can do that." You took a deep breath. Standing in line and repeating your order, venom continued to comfort and reassure you the whole time.
When it was your turn to order, your heart began to pound out of your chest, But with venom's encouragement, You walked up to the counter.
"Hi welcome to Benny's what can I get for you ??" the clerk smiled at you.
"Can.... can..." You were starting to stutter again But you took a deep breath, feeling Venom's tendril gently rub your back in a comforting way. "Can... I get... *your coffee order* please..." You softly smiled, feeling accomplished.
You paid for your coffee and then walked out with your order, happily sipping it. "You did amazing y/n, Well done" venom congratulated you. "Thanks buddy"
He continued to help you for the rest of the day, And when nightfall arrived, You felt confident to go out and begin to look for bad guys. Walking through the streets of San Francisco, You looked around to spot any suspicious activity. Until you then heard screaming in the alleyway as a woman was about to be robbed at knife point.
"Hand over the purse lady !!" He shouted as the tip of the blade was on her throat.
"Please help me !!!" She shouted, hoping anyone right now could hear her.
"We've got a bad guy !!" Venom said excitedly.
"Ok... Ok... You got this y/n" You said to yourself as you then turned into the alley.
"L...Lea... Leave her alone !!!" You managed to get out.
The robber then turned to you and pointed the knife at you. "Stay out of this kid, before you know what's coming !!"
"Please, call the poli.." She begged you before the blade was on her throat again.
"Shut it, lady !!" The robber shouted.
"I said leave her alone !!!" You shouted again, You never shouted like that before, but it felt good.
The robber then shoved the lady and stormed to you angrily.
'The hell you say to me little punk" As soon as he was about to shank you, you grabbed his wrist from moving any further as venom enveloped your body and smiled deviously at the robber. "I wouldn't do that if I were you," He said as his tongue licked across his teeth and then taking a bite off the robber's head.
The woman was shocked, to say the least, but thankful someone stopped him.
"Thank you..."
Venom simply nodded and then climbed up the building to a nearby rooftop. "Venom did you see that !!! I did it !!!!" You shouted happily as he smiled too.
"You did excellent y/n, Remember we are here to help you. Always"
"Thanks, buddy..."
You knew venom would always rise to the occasion and help you in any way shape or form. Always.
A/N: I apologise for the delay anon, but I hoped you enjoyed it :)

I been thinking about make this request,basically platonic headcanons of Miguel with a gn reader that is very young(14-15) and have a symbiote, reader meets miguel due to him as spiderman rescues reader from some bastards that were experimenting with reader for the perfect symbiosis they had, the reader is very skinny and easily scared and the symbiote is very protective over reader, miguel is also very protective over reader and theach them how to control their power,basically miguel being a mentor/father figure for the reader Who admires him and want to protect the multiverse like him(like a sidekick).
If this is so Long youre Free to ignore
I LOVE this idea!
PLATONIC Miguel x GN teen reader w/venom symbiote.
I’m trying to make this as general as possible so anyone can read it, but sorry if I make any mistakes.
CW: use of y/n, Miguel might be slightly ooc, talk of human experimentation, kidnapping, abuse, violence, medical settings, venom needs his own warning.
—————————
It was cold.
So fucking cold.
The only color on your skin was dark blotches from struggling against your captors.
You were unsure of how long you’ve been locked in this dank room.
You had barely eaten or drank anything since ending up here, so you were multiple pounds lighter than you normally were.
Your muscles had lost a significant amount of definition from only moving when they moved you.
You didn’t know who they were or what they wanted, but you did gather they didn’t target you specifically.
The experiments were painful.
No matter how much you screamed or cried they never stopped.
After one of the first experiments you started hearing a voice.
The voice was deep and grainy, it told you that it was known as Venom and it came from space.
”These people took me as well… I can help you escape.”
You had ignored the voice, telling yourself it was just the trauma and isolation.
Until a particularly painful test.
Your entire body felt like it was burning, your screams were deafening.
Suddenly the restraints that held you down snapped, and you felt something ooze all over your body.
You were unable to control your actions. The lab was destroyed and your captors were all dead. Heads had been ripped off and digested by the thing controlling your body.
You watched as your much taller body escaped from the hellhole you had been kept in.
As soon as you got out the black goo dissipated, leaving your much smaller, frail body in its wake.
”You’re welcome” the voice rasped.
Your legs started to move, you ran as far and fast as you could, tears streamed down your face as you were finally free.
Before you knew it, you had ended up in a crowded city. You were unaware your tattered clothes were covered in blood.
Your tired feet tracked down the sidewalk, many avoided you, uncaring of your beaten and bloody form.
”Hey, kid-“ a hand landed on your shoulder.
Venom did not like that.
Suddenly your body was taken over once again, wreaking havoc on anything and everything.
People screamed as your monstrous form throws a tantrum.
Then you hear a thwip and your once again muscular arm gets pulled.
A man in a dark blue and red suit starts to face off with you.
His attacks were deliberate and calculated, quickly taking your exhausted form down.
You feel your head smash against the concrete and loose consciousness once more
—————————
There you were, in another lonely room. Trapped yet again.
But this time it was warmer, you were lying in a comfortable bed with tubes and wires running from your body to various machines.
The high pitched beeping was annoying you, so off came the wires as you tried to stop the noise.
But it only got worse.
A high pitched scream came out of the machine next to you, your body felt like it was on fire once again. You covered your ears as you screamed in pain.
With the noise a group of doctors and the man from before rushed into the room, attempting to reattach the monitors and calm you down.
Your arm reached out, wrapped in the familiar black goo, and shattered the machine. Stopping the noise and actions of the oddly dressed people in the room.
Venom’s goo retreated back into you, soaking back into your skin.
Everyone in the room was frozen. Not knowing what to do or how to respond to the outburst.
”Where am I?” You rasped out, your throat was dry and scratchy from dehydration and screaming.
One of the people left the room and quickly returned with a bottle of water. You gulped it down in no time, panting from the lack of oxygen.
”You’re in a secure location.” The man from before piped up, he was still wearing the odd mask and outfit.
The doctors and nurses attempted to restore what you had ripped out, but you flinched as a hand touched you.
They stopped again, not wanting more destruction.
”Please let them help you, you’ve been injured.” The man says.
You looked at the tall man in front of you.
”Why am I here?” You question him.
”You attempted to destroy the city.” He grunts
”No I didn’t! It was that thing those “scientists” gave me!” You shout, trying to defend yourself.
“I AM NOT A THING, CHILD. I AM VENOM. AND I HELPED YOU!” Venom screamed, though only you could hear him.
“What thing, and what scientists?” The tall man inquired.
”The black gooey thing, Venom. It appeared after one of the experiments the guys who took me did…” you trailed off, struggling to explain exactly what had happened to you.
The man stands for a moment, thinking. “Were you kidnapped?” He asked.
”I- I don’t really remember…” you look down, uncomfortable with all the eyes on you.
The tall man sighs and approaches you slowly, his mask suddenly dissipated before he started talking.
”I’m Miguel, what’s your name?” He had a small smile on his face, trying not to intimidate you more than he already has.
”it’s Y/n.”
“Well Y/n, I want to help you. Can you tell me what happened?”
—————————
After a long explanation Miguel told you that he needed to work some things out, so he left you under close watch by the nurses.
While he was gone you were given a small meal consisting of a sandwich, some carrots, and a cup of chocolate pudding. The doctors didn’t want you to eat too much as to not cause your malnourished body any harm, but you were still hungry.
Until you got to the chocolate pudding.
”That is amazing, I love it.” Venom says.
”it’s chocolate pudding.” You respond.
”I need more. I don’t feel as hungry anymore.”
—————————
When Miguel returned there was a pile of empty chocolate pudding cups on the bedside table and you were asking for more.
A nurse was trying to reason with you. ”Why don’t I get you some more carrots? You shouldn’t be eating so much sugar-“
”I need chocolate, that’s what he wants.” You argued.
”Hey kid. What do you mean by “it’s what he wants”?” Miguel questions you.
”Venom. He said chocolate makes him less hungry, and I was hoping if I kept eating it he’d finally shut up.” You avoided making eye contact with the tall male.
”Interesting… I did a little research and it seems that you’ve become a host for some sort of extra terrestrial being.”
“Well duh, Venom told me that already.” You give Miguel a deadpan look.
”It would have been nice to know that…” Miguel sighs. “We can start looking into removing the…”
”Symbiote”
”Right, Symbiote. We can look into removing the symbiote if you’d like.”
Suddenly the black goo emerges once again, taking over your face.
”I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE YOU SPIDER SHIT!” Venom roars and then sinks back into your skin. Leaving you back to normal.
“I don’t think he wants to leave…”
”Well that was kind of obvious.” Miguel sighs.
—————————
It had been a few days since your arrival at the “secure location”, which after enough bugging of Miguel, you found out was the spider society. A place where spider folk like him from hundreds of different universes came together to protect the multiverse.
You had started trusting Miguel, and he the same with you. It was odd to others to see such a cold man being so caring and protective of a child who had “tried to kill him”.
He wasn’t the biggest fan of Venom, but when he realized you had a certain knack with the alien he stopped trying to convince you to separate from him.
Soon enough you started to train with Venom, Miguel helping you along the way. Miguel taught you hand to hand combat, self defense, and so much more.
Once Miguel believed you were ready, you started to go on missions with him. You met many other Spider folk and even made some good friends along the way.
Miguel knew that Venom needed phenylethylamine (or PEA for short) to survive. And since the only places you could get that was from brains or chocolate, he made sure there was always a large stock of chocolate around for you and venom, at least until he could develop something to give you the PEA you needed in a different way.
Miguel was glad that he had gone out on patrol that day, knowing that if he didn’t, he might not have met the kid who changed his life for the better.
—————————
Thanks for reading y’all! This was WAY longer than I was expecting, but hey, I got into it. I might make some separate or more headcanons with this reader/scenario.
(Also I got my first dose of testosterone done this morning, so your boy is finally on T!!!)

🕷️ A/N: Hello, dear readers! Welcome to my three part series of an idea that I have no idea where it came from. Lol. Seriously, this strange AU just popped into my head and I was like- "Man, maybe I should make that my next fic?". And BAM! Here it is! Hopefully it's good as I imagine it would be. Enjoy!
Tumblr media
These past twelve months have been… something else. The snap that lasted for five years messed up everything that the troublesome trio worked for, which was to rebrand their business: Nelson, Murdock & Page. But hey, I guess in a… morbid(?) sickly? depressed? way, it did work out in the end. Business was pretty much booming, especially now that everyone who blipped was trying to get their homes or anything else they own back under their names and care. Now, not to toot their own horns, but they say they’re pretty good at multitasking.
Until…
They weren’t.
As they get busier with each passing day, the trio realizes that they’re stretching themselves so far thin that it’s starting to affect them. So after some intense conversations, they decided to hire a helping hand.
Y/N L/N.
Their new assistant that was just shy of seventeen and on her way to graduating high school. She was nervous, of course, when they first met her, but the nerves soon settled and she turned out to be a very charming person that they all agree they loved to have in the office. She was extremely helpful and willing to learn, always on her toes when they needed something, always organized and had everything ready when they had a case or a client coming in. None of them could ask for a better person in the position. Even though the girl was…
Well…
Kind of quirky.
Like she always prefers it cold, no matter what the temperature is. Karen notices she was barely wearing anything when they first met. It was in the middle of winter, and the girl was just wearing an oversize sweatshirt and a thin beanie. At first a bit of a motherly instinct took over and wondered if the poor girl just didn’t have anything to wear at home, or maybe couldn’t afford anything. Y/N eventually apologized and laughed saying that she just prefers this weather more than the heat. But despite that, Karen did gift her a warmer coat that the teen decided to wear (even if it felt forced).
.
“Oh, you didn’t have to do that Miss Page.” Y/N said once she was handed over the nice coat.
“Please, I insist. I know you said you like the cold, but I would rather not see you sick.” Karen said, as the girl smiles and nods, promising to wear it until Spring.
.
Then it was the food. Now, Franklin Percy “Foggy” Nelson loved to eat just like any other person out there. But if there was an eating competition to suddenly spawn inside his office he would surely lose to his assistant. The kid was… a freaking bottomless pit. Just as Karen had suspected Y/N might be on the poor side, Foggy thought the same when he brought take out for lunch and the kid nearly ate everything on the table. She did it in a mannerful way but still (He’s surprised she didn’t inhale the table). So out of worriedness he started bringing her lunch, and the one day he forgot, she brought her own “five course” meal of sandwiches and sides.
.
“Maybe… she’s just a growing kid.” Karen once said as he shook his head.
“Don’t girls go through puberty early? There’s no way Y/N’s still growing.” He boasted as the blonde tried another excuse that he shot down quickly. “Nope! Matt! Can’t you tell?”
“Foggy, Matt is not about to smell nor hear if the poor girl is going through puberty!”
“Karen, come on–”
“NO!!”
.
The conversation ended up being wrapped up and placed in the back of the shelf for now, but occasionally it’ll come up when the girl polishes off something huge by herself (And everytime Karen proceeds to hit Foggy over the head with her shoe as Matt tries not to laugh).
Then there was the human lie detector, Matt Murdock and his tales of Miss L/N. When he first met her of course he was a little on edge, I mean he was still learning to not leave his guard up all the time after promising Foggy and Karen he was going to do better and be trustworthy. The girl was nervous during the interview, but managed to win over their hearts about halfway through yet…
Matt couldn’t shake what his senses were picking up.
On her first day of work she seemed cool as a cucumber, nothing to worry about. However her heartbeat was… strange. It was pulsing like any other healthy human being, but there were times where it would randomly accelerate. Like she would just be stapling papers together and it would pick up speed like a racehorse. A few times he feared she was having a heart attack before it went away.
The other thing he notices, and to follow Karen’s observation, the girl does tend to run rather hot. And when she does she would either shed off an extra layer or turn the tiny fan on her desk in the middle of a snow storm.
.
Hmm, maybe she’s just a natural furnace. He told himself once, recalling that his father was someone who always seemed to stay warm (but even he wasn’t crazy enough to go outside half dressed in -10 degree weather).
.
Then lastly, he realizes the girl likes to talk to herself quietly. At first he thought maybe she had an earbud in and was talking to someone, or maybe she was mouthing the lyrics of a song but… no. Sometimes it’s even hard for him to pick up what she’s saying ‘cause she’s so quiet, but the couple times he does hear her it sounds like she’s scolding herself.
.
Matt tilts his head, slightly zoning out on the conversation him and his partners were having as Y/N was in their kitchenette. From the smell of it she was making herself coffee and muttering and even jerking at something or someone that wasn’t even there.
“Shut up, I’m not eating that– No I’m not– You’re not either.” He hears her eye roll and almost sighs. “You’re not going to die, stop being a baby– Don’t call me the baby, you numbnut– Hey, you fucking bastard, I’ll–”
And then he kind of tuned out when he noticed Foggy was asking him a question.
.
A million different scenarios went through his head of what it could be. One that he’s just sticking with right now is she’s just a very imaginary kid. The other lingering thoughts weren’t so innocent. Someone’s home life could affect certain things. Maybe it’s–
“So what shall we do to celebrate?” Foggy said out of the blue in the present day. The sun was out shining, the weather was cool and just right, everything was blooming peacefully just as Spring should be. The blond looked between the two perplexed adults before gasping. “Don’t tell me you all forgot?”
Karen glanced in Matt’s direction, lost as well. “Uh, remind us again?” She asked, sheepishly.
“Oh, come on guys! It’s our anniversary!” He throws his hands in the air. “This marks the full year of the grand reopening of Nelson, Murdock & Page!”
Matt’s eyebrows shot up above his glasses in surprise. “Is it April 24th already?”
“Yeah! A full year, baby! We fucking did it! We brought this extinct beast of a place back to life.” Foggy exclaims, making Karen laugh. “We need to celebrate.”
“And how so, Mr. Nelson?” The woman asked, curious to what he had to say.
“That’s what I’m trying to find out. Maybe a nice dinner and a club.”
“Aren’t we too old for clubbing?”
He raises an eyebrow. “Who says that?”
“Says the guy who pulled his hamstring running up the stairs.” Matt quips with a grin, as Karen hides another laugh in her hand.
“Hey!”
“Half-Joking.” Then he perks up. “Y/N is here.”
“Already?” Foggy looks at his watch. “She’s really early.”
“Do you think something’s wrong?” Karen asked, mother henning again. “Matt?”
“I’m not picking up on anything.” The blind lawyer replies, truthfully. “She’s coming. Relax.”
The teenager opens the door, her usual blouse and skirt with her backpack on her shoulder. She looked like she was in thought as she greets them with a smile. “Good morning.”
“Morning.” Matt and Karen greet in unison as Foggy cracks the ice.
“Hey, Y/N/N. You’re early.”
“Uh, yeah, sorry. My building’s power went off and I couldn’t cook anything so I just went to a diner. Guess I overestimated how much time I needed to eat.” She replies, her heart steady. “Is it okay if I start early?”
“That’s fine, there’s probably not much to do though.” Matt says, as she sets her stuff down on her desk.
“Whatever you got I’ll do.”
Foggy’s concern washes away and goes back to his bubbly self. “Are you free tonight, Y/N?”
“Um… yeah. Why?”
“Well, today marks our anniversary of getting this place up and running again and we want to celebrate with maybe dinner at least. Our treat.”
“Dinner?” The teenager looks concerned. “Are you sure it’s okay for me to tag along? I’m just your assistant.”
“Nah, don’t use that talk.” He waves her off. “You’ve helped us a lot these past few months. You’re one of us. Right, guys?”
“Of course she is.” Karen said, her red lips curling upwards. “We would be all over the place if you hadn’t helped organize when we got so overwhelmed.”
“And customers are always complimenting you on how wonderful you are with them.” Matt adds, making the teenager blush.
“Yeah, kiddo. You’re great.” Foggy says, throwing his arm around her with pride. “Keep this up for a few more months and… maybe we’ll add your name to the plaque.”
She laughed. “Your business will officially be a mouthful to remember.”
“Hey, it was mouthful before Karen came in, we might as well keep rolling with it.” He shrugs. “So what do you say? Dinner at least?”
“I can do dinner.”
“Fantastic! Where shall we go?”
And that was pretty much the only thing they talked about for the rest of the day.
•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°
“Are you sure this is the right address?” Foggy asked for the third time tonight as he hitched along for the ride. He was the person you called a… backseat driver (but he has every right to do so at this point).
“Yes, Foggy. I’m just following the directions on my phone.” Karen replies, slightly irritated, but also a little bit worried (like she’ll admit that to him just yet).
“‘Cause this is a really bad neighbourhood.”
“I know, Foggy.”
“Is it really that bad?” Matt asked, after listening to his surroundings. He didn’t really hear that much going on outside the vehicle.
“It’s… extremely sketchy.” Foggy says, with a sigh. “It’s like one of those places they tell you not to go after dark.”
“That bad?”
“Yeah, and we close pretty late. Do we really make Y/N walk through this?”
Matt’s eyebrows raise up, amusement on his face. “Sounds like someone’s going to be her chauffeur soon.”
“Don’t tempt me, Matthew. I’d consider. Or we all pitch in and buy her a car.”
“Sure she knows how to drive?”
“Or better question–” Karen cuts in while making another turn. “Maybe you should talk to her parents first about this concern before we start gifting our assistant with stuff? Maybe she’s not allowed to have a car? Or even to drive?”
“What seventeen year old isn’t allowed to drive?” Foggy asked, confused.
“I mean, I wasn’t allowed to drive at all until I was an adult.”
“What? Why?”
“Foggy I was what you called uh… ‘wild child’, I’m not exactly a saint you know.”
Foggy sighs and flicks his attention to the backseat. “Matt, would you have driven a car if you could?”
“Who says I haven’t?” The blind man replies with a grin that made Foggy not want to question it.
The blond man throws his hands up. “I give up. Naysayers, all of you.”
“What are we ‘naysaying’?” Karen asked, with a chuckle.
“I’m not saying anything.”
“Oh my god.” She shakes her head and parks the car along the curb. Just as she was about to snatch her phone off the dash, a report came up. She quickly reads over the headline and frowns. “Hey, did you hear about those people who disappeared a few days ago? Rumors saying they were special forces?”
“The ones that were going door to door down on 36th?” Matt asked, hearing about it on the news and even word about it at night. Even some criminals he ran into that night thought it was strange and found them suspicious.
“Yeah, those. Apparently they just turned up. Parts of them.”
Foggy’s face scrunched up. “Ew.”
“Someone hacked them up?” Matt asked, worried about a possible new killer on the loose.
“The strange thing is, no. From what it says here it looks like their limbs were chewed off.”
Foggy made a gagging noise now. “Ugh. Great. Now we have a cannibal in the Kitchen. That’s just great–” He opens the car door. “More reasons to get Y/N a car.” His friends shake their heads and get out also.
“You know, you’ll make a great father one day.” Matt says, getting the middle finger.
The three of them buzzed themselves into the building, going up to the second floor to the third apartment in. It wasn’t as luxurious as the apartment Foggy shared with his fiancée, but it was definitely on the same level as Matt’s: -Not-in-the-safest-of-places-and-was-the-“cheapest”-on-the-block- They definitely felt wary of wearing their nice and expensive clothes out here.
Karen was the one who knocked and got a response.
“She’s alone.” Matt said afterwards, getting the woman to check her watch.
“I guess her parents work the nightshift?” Foggy said, slightly worried. They didn’t get the chance to talk about it when the door swings open. The teenager opens up a nice, simple purple dress paired with a blue jean jacket and flats.
She smiles. “Hope you found the place okay.” She replies, greeting them and locking their door behind her. “Seriously, you guys didn’t have to drive to get me.”
“Oh, we don’t mind.” Karen says, honestly.
“Are we still planning on dinner?”
“Of course. You hungry?” Matt asked, making her laugh out of embarrassment.
“Heck yeah, I am.” She said, making them giggle.
“Well then, after you, Ladies.” He gestures for them to go first.
“Oh, such a gentleman.” Karen replies, starting the trek off, smiling and pulling their assistant along for the ride.
They started chit chatting about the place they were going to go, Foggy boasting about how good the food was the last time he went (Now frank that was pre-blipped, so fingers crossed it’s still as good as back then). As they started descending down the stairs, Matt’s cane unfortunately got caught into a hole that was forming in the wood and was falling forward. To his surprise, Y/N was the one to react extremely quickly and place her hand on his chest to stop his fall.
“Shit, you okay?” She said, as he regained his balance from her strength.
“Uh, I’m…” And then he trails off when he catches a whiff, the smell of dried blood just beneath her fingertips. The chilling part of this was that it was NOT her blood. He swallows, and forces a smile. “Yeah, I’m fine. Thanks for the catch.”
She frowns apologetically. “I’m sorry, I probably should have warned you about the stairs. They’ve been falling apart for a while. If you stay to the left you’ll miss most of them.”
“Noted.” And then they continued again with Matt being careful…
.
.
.
And it was not just about the stairs.
•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°
“Sure I can eat anything?” Y/N asked, as she scanned the menu over again.
“Of course, our treat.” Karen reassures for the hundredth time.
“I know it’s your treat, and I appreciate it. But–” She flips the menu towards them. “Have you seen the dollar signs for this place?”
“Well, I can’t exactly ‘see’ anything.” Matt replies, feeling his assistant give him ‘the look’. He hoped he sounded sarcastic and not rude (he was trying to push away what he smelled earlier and enjoy the night (And not be a paranoid freak again).
“Mr. Murdock–”
“Matt, kiddo.” Foggy says, lightly tapping her shoulder. “How many times did we tell you you can drop the formalities? It’s been months.”
Y/N blushes. “Sorry, habit.” She replies, only to mumble something under her breath two seconds later that everyone kind of ignored. “I’ll shut up and figure out what to eat.”
“That’s the spirit.”
The group eventually ordered their food and soon slipped into a nice conversation. Between some fun exchanges between the law trio or funny memories from their childhoods, it eventually led to laughter.
“I never realized how big your family was, Foggy.” Y/N said, intrigued by the chaos of the Nelson family.
“And I swear it just keeps growing. It’s a little baseball team at this point.” He replies, smiling.
“Does anyone else have a sibling?”
“I had a brother, but he’s passed.” Karen explains, with a sad smile.
“Only child.” Matt replies, with a head tilt.
“What about you, Y/N? Any siblings?”
She shakes her head. “Just myself. I kind of wish I had a sibling though. It does get lonely at home sometimes.”
“Well… it’s not too late to ask your parents for one.” Foggy jokes, half heartedly; It causes Matt to nearly spit out his drink, Karen scolding him and Y/N chuckling behind her hand. “Don’t kill me! It’s just a joke.”
“Franklin Nelson.” Karen warns like she was his nagging mother, and kicks his shin.
“Ouch, Karen, geez.”
Y/N smiles, amused. “I don’t mind, really.”
“But still, most people I meet here want more than one kid. I’m actually surprised you’re an only child, Y/N.” Matt said, being honest, which suddenly got her heart rate to pick up, but not in the racehorse kind of way he had been hearing. The teenager had stayed quiet for a moment before she shrugged, trying to shake it, or them, off.
“My mom’s not really in the picture anymore, not for a long time actually. I just really have my dad, but he’s always working. So, to be honest, I’m on my own. I don’t think he even realizes I have a job.” She replies, taking the last sip of her drink while avoiding eye contact. She could feel the concerned stares on her making her feel uncomfortable.
“Y/N, that’s not right.” Karen said, worriedly.
“It’s… fine. I’m used to it, you know?”
“Just because you’re fine with it, doesn’t mean it is.” Foggy replies, brows pushed together, distress wrinkles forming. “You know, if something’s up or wrong, you can tell us anything. We’re here for you, you know?”
“Not everything though…” She said, frowning (Her heartbeat picking up again, which was enough for Matt to start questioning what she actually means).
Just before anything else could be said, the waiter came over to drop off their refills and took the empty appetizer plate away. “Your food will be out shortly.” He said, and they thanked him.
“Man, I’m starving. The wait better be worth it.” Foggy said, after a second.
“I know, right? I know it’s been awhile, but I don’t remember it taking this long.” Karen admits, stirring the lemon around in her ice tea.
Y/N starts to take a sip of her new drink and pauses, like halted to an immediate stop. Matt picks the way her whole demeanor changes from nervousness to anger, and mutters, “It’s coke. It’s fine…”
What are you hiding, Y/N? Matt wonders as he takes a sip of his own beverage, worried out of his mind for what could be happening to her. What was happening at home that you didn’t even want to talk about it?
But as soon as that red wine tickled down his throat he immediately knew something was wrong.
He couldn’t even taste it or smell it, but he knew there was something mixed inside that wasn’t supposed to be in there.
He immediately feels all his remaining senses start to go wack and before he could even say a word, Y/N beat him to it.
“Hey! We have to throw up!” She says, shooting up to her wobbly feet. “The drinks were–”
And then she proceeded to crash back into her chair, her face falling onto her dining mat. Karen calls out her name before passing out as well.
“Uh… M-Matt…?” Foggy calls out, struggling to stay awake. “W-what just…”
Matt hears him render unconscious as well and tries to fight it off the best he could, but he knew it was useless when his whole body started to grow numb, and he cussed under his breath from it.
.
.
.
And the last thing he sensed was their waiter standing over their table smiling like the cheshire cat.
•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°
When the four of them came to, they all had splitting headaches that made it almost hard to even realize where they were. Tied to individual chairs and under some “interrogation” lighting in some strange, seemingly unknown, building.
“Ugh… where are we?” Karen asked, looking around with a slight squint.
“Warehouse district.” Matt replies, after a split second of analyzing. “I recognized the smell.”
Foggy clears his throat before whispering, “Uh, Matty, might not want to out yourself to our assistant here yet.”
The blind vigilante completely forgot that Y/N didn’t know his secret and held his tongue. Luckily, it seems like she was preoccupied with her worries, making some weird faces only two people present could see. Well… maybe a third now because some random ass man wearing what looks like tactical equipment (minus its helmet) comes in through a door.
Baldy (yeah we’re calling him that) looks disgusted and rather annoyed to even be here, as he stands before each of them before spewing, “Where is it?”
Yeah, no ‘Hi’, ‘Hello’, or ‘Good Afternoon’, just straight to the fucking point that nobody even knows what it’s about.
The adults looked at each other, going into overprotective mode.
“Who are you?” Matt asked, ready to start listening for clues (and silently try to get out of his restraints).
“Not any of your business.”
“Why are we here? Why did you need us?”
Baldy said nothing, instead directing his attention to the bound teenager. “Where is it?”
Y/N blinks, clearly confused. “Where is what?”
“The thing.”
Another blink. “What thing?”
His jaw clenches, irritated. “The thing you stole from us.”
She scoffs. “I don’t even know who you are.”
“For fuck’s sake–”
“What is going on?” Foggy cuts in, bitterly.
“Who are you people?” Karen asked, same expression as his.
“The people who want our stuff back.” Baldy replies, shrilly too. “Our boss has been desperately looking for it ever since it went missing. We know she has it.”
“How do you know she took it?” Karen asked, maternal mode kicking in once more and ready to throw hands if necessary (I mean, did this guy even have any evidence?).
“Her school was required to go on a field trip to our company, and soon after, our… subject disappeared and we know one of those kids took it. Took us a while, but we finally tracked down who it was.” He jabs his finger at the girl. “You.”
“Y/N–” The blonde woman looks her way.
“Subject?” Matt asked, turning the interrogation around. He feels everyones’ gazes on him now as he tries analyzing the situation. “First you say ‘thing’ and now you say ‘subject’. Are you saying Y/N stole a person?”
“Matt–” Foggy warns under his breath, urging him to tread carefully.
“I wouldn’t call it a person.” Baldy said, feeling the blind man’s intense stare.
“Then what is it again?”
“Matt–” Karen tries now.
Baldy holds his tongue. “Listen, Blindly–”
“So what’s this ‘subject’ Y/N supposedly stole?” Matt pressured, feeling the man’s blood spike.
“You need–” He pulls his gun out. “To shut the fuck up.”
“Matt!/Hey!” Karen and Foggy yelled in unison, their racing hearts pouncing in their friend’s ears. But the Murdock stays as calm as he could be, tuning them out to focus on the gun on hand.
“I would hold that spicy tongue of yours, and let ME do the talking.” Baldy continues, getting silence as an answer. “Good. Now–” He redirects the barrel at the teenager. “Talk.”
Y/N’s eyes widened just as the adults started yelling again.
“Hey!” Matt snarled, thinking the gun was going to be trained on him the whole time. He tries giving the most intimidating look he could muster with his blind orbs showing. “Don’t fucking point that at her.”
“Yeah! You really gonna kill a kid?!” Foggy snaps, getting the man’s attention.
“What the fuck’s wrong with you?!” Karen adds, making Baldy’s eye twitch at their comments.
“Listen, motherfuckers.” He snaps, a craze look on his face. “I will do whatever needs to be done. If that includes bathing my hands in red, then so be it.”
She shakes her head, furious. “You’re a sick, twisted, human being, you–”
“I’m sorry…” Y/N blurted out of the blue, suddenly looking really pale and distant. Her boss unknowingly hears her heart start picking up like a rabbit, and her blood pressure starts spiking (not to mention she was starting to run like a furnace).
Badly looks her way again and scoffs. “What? You scared?”
“Not of you, but for you.” She swallows. “You really might not want to point the gun at me, it’s upsetting him.”
He tilts his head, confused. “Upsetting who?”
“You need to leave.” She pleads, her (Y/E/C) eyes starting to change to an odd color.
“What the fuck are you talking about?”
“Seriously, leave, please–”
He starts to sweat and presses the gun into her head more. “What are you fucking talking about?!”
“Leave! He’s–” Then her body stood stiff, and her fingers started to twitch, and then… her voice got super deep. “I’m pissed off.”
The trio widened their eyes at how scary and inhuman she sounded, which was enough for Baldy to start panicking, thinking of the worst.
“Enough with the theatrics!!” He snapped, trying to regain control. “I’m–”
And then nobody expected this next.
If you told anyone you were going to watch the girl get engulfed in black goo, and a monstrous face to form in her place then they wouldn’t just bat an eye and walk away because it sounded like insanity.
It became even more insane when the face suddenly bit the man’s forearm off clean and swallowed it whole, along with the hand pistol.
An ear piercing scream erupted from the back of his throat as blood pooled from his remaining limb. He stumbled backwards as the substance from her body disappeared, Y/N reacting with a look of horror on her own features.
“Oh, my god!!” She screamed. “Oh, my god! I’m sorry! I’m so sorry!!”
“What the fuck!!!” He yelled back, baffled just like everyone else in the room.
“I’m so, so, so sorry!! I told him not to do it! He never listens!! I–”
Then a black tentacle comes out of her skin and whips the man into a wall, causing another scream from her and even the trio. The adults could only just watch/listen to it unfold, no clue to what’s happening.
“Oh, my god– Fuck!!” Y/N says, shutting her eyes shut tightly like she was in pain. “I told you not to do that!! Why did you– Ah!!”
Her bosses watch as her body stiffens again, eyes glassing back over to purple before slowly fading to white. Then, the tentacles came back out to smash the chair she was in, bringing her to her knees. The goo was started to cover her form again, prompting her to ask the question,
“Venom… What are you– Saving your life. And theirs too.”
Then the door bursts open again, this time with a crowd of other people dressed just like Baldy, except that had a little more artillery. Suddenly, the trio watches as Y/N jumped and dangled from the ceiling, the red lasers immediately pinpointing on her.
“FIRE!!” Someone shouted, and the bullets started flying.
Then their little assistant disappears again, replaced by the face with big white eyes and a wide mouth full of spike, and a tongue that was licking its lips with delight from the bullets ricocheting off of him. Karen screamed at the sound, and they all buried their faces into their shoulders for protection just as the beast let out its battle cry.
It started crawling faster towards the crowd, hunger in its face before it suddenly stopped halfway. The beast let out a huge sigh, muttering, “Fine.”
It then started grabbing whatever it could get a hold of and fling it towards them like a game of extreme darts. One by one they started to fall, one by one they were getting broken ribs and blacking out, one by one they were–
Then a flash grenade was suddenly underneath it and exploded.
The beast roared in pain from the sound, the goo vibrating and then dissolving at the snap of fingers, causing the teenager to resurface and fall to the floor.
Matt definitely heard her ankle snap from the fall despite his own ears ringing, and called out her name. The girl cries out, and hugs her leg as she squeezes her eyes shut to block the tears from flowing. Just as the noise started to settle, it was about to become a whole lot worse. Just as the last remaining attacker was about to shoot the poor girl dead, with Karen and Foggy shouting their pleas, the vigilante managed to to unloosen the last knot from his wrist, springing to his feet and chucking the chair straight at him.
Matt lets out a breath he was holding before his instincts kicked in again. He quickly unties Foggy from his chair, saying, “Get Karen.”
“Right.”
He sprints over to the girl, getting down to her level. “Y/N?”
She lets out a groan, cracking open her eyes, slight shock upon seeing him. “M-Matt?”
“Hold still, I’ll pick you up.”
“H-How did you get out? Or throw a chair so accurately?”
Well shit.
He really wasn’t thinking about his secret ID at that moment. Just the thought of making sure his assistant wasn’t going to die on his watch.
He bites his lip. “Y/N, I’m–” His gaze snaps towards the door where he could hear footsteps approaching. A lot of them. “Shit. There’s more. We have to–”
“I-I have to get you out.” She croaks, rolling herself to be on all four. “It’s my fault you’re involved in this.”
“Y/N, you broke your ankle, you can’t do anything else.”
“But…” She groans again and then slowly lobs her head in his direction, a smug tugged across her lips. “But I insist, Mr. Murdock.”
And before he could say a word, the beast reappeared and lifted him straight off his feet, along with Karen and Foggy who yelped in surprise. Suddenly they found themselves running at an incredible speed, prayers leaving their mouths just as they broke through a window and free falled down.
•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°
Not even sure where they ended up but it was completely unoccupied and covered by the shadows of the night. The beast had set the weathered adults down against the wall before doing the same; the body disappearing back to the teeanger who fell right on her bum. She lets out a shaky breath, closing her eyes like she did earlier, trying to hold the pain in.
“Oh, my god, Y/N, your ankle.” Karen manages to say once the shock ran out (And that was for a while).
Y/N smacks her lips, grinding her teeth, replying, “I-It’s fine. It’ll be fine in a minute. I advise not looking.”
“What do you mean?” Foggy asked, eating his words as he witnessed her ankle snapping right back into place causing him to gag and avert his gaze. “Oh, hell…”
“T-Told ya.” She mutters and then sighs.
Silence fell over them, the trio all kind of looking at one another before deciding it was time to address the elephant in the room. Or whatever that thing was.
Foggy clears his throat, shifting his weight around. “So…”
“I’m sorry.” Y/N said, opening her eyes and looking at them with guilt. “I… I never wanted you guys to see that.”
“Well, I can see why.” He mumbles, getting a smack in the shoulder by Karen. “Ow!”
“So what is it?” Matt asked, straight to the point and curious, actually (and concerned too now that he’s realized this girl’s got no control over whatever it is).
Another sigh as Y/N pushes herself to stand. “I don’t know.”
“What do you mean?”
“Exactly that. I don’t know.” She crosses her arm uncomfortably. “I went on a mandatory field trip for school to this lab, and… some of my classmates begged me to go ‘behind the scenes’ with them. I honestly didn’t know what to expect, except that the only thing back there was this container with a tiny blob in it.”
She frowns. “One thing led to another and it broke, but I had no idea that… this blob got absorbed into me.” She throws one of her hands up. “I honestly thought I was going crazy for several days when I could hear shit in my head, and when my appetite went through the roof. And then…”
“Then… what?” Matt said, sensing her discomfort.
“I got mugged. Well… attempted mugging until… Venom came out.”
“Venom?” Karen asked, eyebrow raised.
“That’s… what he calls himself. The thing you saw.” Y/N starts nervously playing with her hands. “Anyway, the mugger didn’t do much since– you know– uh…”
“Let me guess, he bit the guy’s arm off?” Foggy says, as she shrugs.
“More like… above the neck…” Then she gets the shocked stares again. “Okay, in my defense, I have no control over that. I didn’t even know that Venom attached himself to me. I…” She groans. “I just ran away after that! I didn’t know what to–” She then pauses like she is listening.. “You what? – You finished him off?”
Now it was her turn to have her pupils blown wide. “When? I don’t remember you doing that? – You did it when I was asleep?! – Oh, ho! That is not consensual whatsoever! We talked about this!” She scowls. “No, you quit complaining, you parasite!”
Y/N groans again, this time into her hands. “Ugh! He’s so annoying sometimes!”
“This is the strangest thing I think I’ve ever witnessed.” Foggy said, running a hand through his locks. “And aliens attacked New York.”
“Technically, Venom’s an alien.”
“Oh, my god.” He holds the sides of his head. “It’s ‘Invasion of The Body Snatchers’.”
“Foggy.” Karen tries to get him to calm down.
“So you just decided to live with this… Venom guy?” Matt asked, not really sure how to ‘perfectly’ respond to this situation. I mean for the many years he’s fought in Hell’s Kitchen, he’s never experienced something like this before.
“It’s kind of hard to get rid of him. He’s… persistent, I’ll give you that.” Y/N replies, with a small smile. “If I’m being honest, it was around the time you guys accepted me for an interview. I was more worried about acing that than dealing with a vicious conscience.” Then it fades. “Homelife not exactly… easy, so I guess it was nice to have someone to talk to. In a crazy kind of way.” A sigh. “I had no idea that he was important.”
“Are you going to give him back now that you know?” Karen asked, worried at what might come if she doesn’t.
“That’s the thing, If I give him back, they know who I am, and you saw what happened tonight. They’ll kill me no matter what.”
“Like hell I’m going to let that happen to you.” Matt says, confidently as he places a gentle hand on her shoulder (he could hear her pulse spiking at what she had said). “We’re going to figure this out. Don’t you worry, Y/N.”
She shakes her head. “I-I can’t ask you to do that.”
“Then don’t ask me.”
“You almost got hurt because of me! I’m not letting you put your life on the line for me. I can figure this out on my own.”
“Y/N, I’m a lawyer, you should know by now I don’t take ‘no’ for an answer easily.” His lips tug upwards, trying to make the best reassuring look he could make. “I’m going to help you–”
“We’ll help you.” Karen corrected.
“Yeah. We’ll help you, don’t you worry.” Matt faces his old roommate. “How long’s Marci out of town for?”
“Uh, next week. Six days to be exact.” Foggy says, after quick thinking.
“Good. We don’t have to worry about her safety.” Matt goes quiet, using his senses to figure out where they are before they move. “Alright, let’s go to my place.” He gestures for everyone to follow, his friends were, but not his assistant who was perplexed.
“Wait.” She blurts out, stopping them. “Shouldn’t we try finding somewhere else? It might not be smart to go to your own home.”
“It’s fine. It’s where we need to be for our next step.”
“Next step?” She asks, watching him start walking away again. “Which is…?”

Y/n Wayne!Venom! x Batfamily
Tumblr media
Grayscale  – Y/n Wayne!Venom!xBatfamily |  P2 ―
Summary: [Name] was a shadow among his family, on patrol and only stands out from cameras outside, every important aspect of his life was gray in a great work of art full of vibrant colors, even if he tried 200% he would never stop being monochromatic or so he thought until the arrival of something out of his world.
Cw: blood, typical canon violence, mention of suicides, self-esteem and mental issues, parental neglect, if I missed any let me know.
- Someone asked me to tag him and here I am: @venomsvl I feel like it's not a big deal, it's not a lot of anguish or a lot of fluff but I did it, I hope it feels good for you to read this c:
✂ ⚋⚋⚋⚋⚋
↻ The arrival of Venom in your life only mobilized even more the endless empty hours in which your own mind played against you, the voice of the Symbiote filled your head and distracted you.  It was a breath of fresh air, a tender caress on the head after hours of crying and you could feel that your new alien companion could feel it, but neither had said anything yet.
↻ Just as you felt better, everyone noticed it but no one delved into it and the only one who did it as usual was Alfred, which was never new.  At that point he was your real Father.
||  The days were calmer with Venom's eternal talk inside your head, it was comforting to listen to them and apparently the silence didn't bother him, he could feel that you communicated mostly with movements so subtle that they could go unnoticed.  And his unmistakable deep, rumbling voice was welcome.  You didn't know when it had become everyday to have long conversations accompanied by food for both of them.
“I see that he has regained his appetite of old young master [Name].”
And without being able to avoid it you choked on the mouthful of pancakes dipped in that gooey chocolate fudge, fortunately small incidents like that Venom was good at pulling you out of it by mere instinct and stayed on your bare skin, hidden from prying eyes.
How little you knew.
Since Alfred kept a soft watch on you, you were the son who was most attached to his side.  The affection that protected you was undeniable, and unfortunately far exceeded the rest but they were secrets that he would take to the grave.  That's why his immediate reaction was to offer pats on your back seeking to help you not drown, and in that tiny instant he felt something that cushioned his palm.  Something under your clothes and moving, he didn't say anything.
"If having parasites leaves me with an appetite after I recover, Dad," you commented, unable to avoid your content smile, waiting for the reaction.
“I am not a parasite.  apologize!”  It was the voice that echoed in your head in a pleasant way.
And Alfred felt his heart squeeze by the naturalness in which that word emerged from your lips and it was the word "Dad", he could feel the love printed in your words and the infinite affection that lived in your sincere eyes when his gaze met with yours and every good feeling was increased by your giggle, that contagious and sweet giggle without bad intentions, it was inevitable not to laugh along with you.  Your laughter was so contagious that it was a shame I hadn't heard you laugh more often, not since those years.
“I can imagine it son, I can imagine it”
For the first time since the abrupt change in the fourth youngest son, [Name] let go of such iron self-control with his most beloved father figure and mentor of his in his existence.  No one looked at the brotherly love between them and that was fine, because for the first time they both allowed themselves to be selfish.
Finally Alfred could freely call one of his beloved masters, like his son without being interested in the label and finally you could freely love your dad, that figure you adored so much.  ||
↻ Your life began to travel much clearer paths, but you did not let go of your self-control and continued with the same rhythm in your patrol but alone, you could not work together with your brothers due to the difference between their methods and difference of thoughts.  Not when you could feel the sharp gaze of Dick and Tim silently judging you, it was irritating (Damian became more vicious in beating them, more Tim for his open creepiness directed at you and your perfection on the pitch, in your entire life, but this didn't stand out much thanks to the smaller Robin himself).
↻ That caused you such suffocating stress that not even Venom could lighten up with his idle chatter for your distraction and allow you to cool down (because Venom understood the falsehood in humans and as your own family flaunted it by hurting all its members and understood the because of your always perfect inexpression that did not leave anything in the air) because they both knew how cruel you could be.  And your eternal fear vibrated against the existence of your alien companion who lived in you, and Venom feared when that moment would come and they both tried not to think about that safe house that remained camouflaged with everything necessary to flee and maybe, just maybe go with your mother's family.  Wisdom and the matriarch's number weighed on your phone, as did the terror of breaking the rules and being kicked out of the family, of being thrown aside in the most horrific way literally and that subjected you to results you didn't want, to missions accomplished but unsatisfying for you and Venom.
↻ Although you gradually let go of that fear, with such delicacy and care, you began to make your own decisions explicitly based on your ideals, philosophy and way of thinking.  You couldn't see Jason's pride at your looseness, although rigid it was a tender freedom that you allowed yourself and he loved seeing that in his younger brother, a younger brother he would give his life for and perhaps the demon-possessed Damian, he lied telling himself that it didn't hurt to love all her siblings in the same way because the two younger ones earned her affection and affection.  Jason loved his two younger brothers with all his being, the last to join the family for being themselves, and hell swallow him alive if he did not treasure them with every tender, diabolical, Machiavellian and even brotherly antics they did including the most of the time (he always tried to lie to himself that he didn't cry when they gave him an exact painting of that puppy that died waiting for his return).
↻ Unlike Tim and Dick, both the youngest children of Bruce Wayne and the second eldest got along wonderfully, as time passed an unbreakable bond was formed between the three, they could hit each other, insult each other and play heavy jokes but never really hurt each other .  There was an unspoken brotherhood between the three, something that no one could understand but they did see strangely.  Jason specifically hated those weird, uncertain looks when you and Damian were having fun with things about boys your age, when you saw Damian laughing at being carried on his back in a zoo or you laughing at silly jokes.  Or when they interrupted everyone's painting sessions, Jason knew that he didn't stand out like his two little brothers but he loved spending time with his family without being tortured by the past, nor by the actions of his "Father" (he would never forget Damian's tears asking him for forgiveness for being the cause of making him relapse into his traumas, same dark days lit by you with a good whispered read, takeout and home cooked meals, quality time including Damian afterwards and healing together).  He would never change anything in his life, because that would ensure that he had met his two best little brothers in his life.
||  Still palpable and tattooed in blue fire on his eyelids remained the memory of you, how he had broken into his safe house and that no one else knew.  You wore commando clothing and well concealed loaded weapons, you carried a backpack and a sports bag with you.  Jason didn't have the strength to face you, not when he was a throwaway from the brother you used to know.
"No one knows your location brother, only me" you relieved his visible anxiety in his gaunt face, with stubble and eyes tired of everything.  And you just swallowed, seeing the trauma in his clear orbs "I brought things to stay with you Jason I hope you don't mind"
A dry laugh was only heard, his life was a disaster that would surely disgust, after all you were the epitome of youthful and childlike perfection.
“If you don't mind all the dirt, go ahead”
From there Jason remembered little, but you did remember everything: bottles of alcohol even with their content scattered in random places, ashtrays with cigarettes started but never finished and bloody blades lying around, it hurt to see your reflection in them.  But you weren't one to say anything, not when the scars weighed down the inside of her ankles, thighs, and forearms.  So you spent that day cleaning up Jason's mess to finish both in the room without windows but with a low temperature air conditioner and both with a sandwich with a juice box, it was the best they had.
"Why did you look for me?"  is the question before a listless bite of food.  Jason didn't want to eat but his body said otherwise.
You just continued to drink juice from the box through the straw, tasting the sweet and tart flavor of the cranberry before you could answer, watching television with a children's movie that you knew by heart.
"Because I would like at least someone in my family to support me and not that idiot B" you said before biting down hard on your sandwich and snuggling better, without taking care of your position for the first time, revealing the inside of your ankles with sharp lines one after another, some still pink and others just a white trace, you were aware but you would not say anything a father, not a good father, just a father in the first place”
Jason heard the pain behind your words, as someone who had carried years of heavy and eternal resentment, and perhaps he wasn't the only one who suffered at the hands of who should be his father.
"It's a piece of shit that even money can't outshine, right?"
"Never.  Do you want to play minecraft?  That usually relaxes me, Alfred showed me the game a long time ago”
Not only were houses built and mined for hours, Jason and [Name] inched forward, bonding like brothers vowing to leave hidden secrets in that safe house that they prayed no one would ever know.  No one would know what happened on that fateful day of the massacre at Blackmont Manor and no one would know of a father's sneaky method with his second son to get what he wanted to leave him traumatized.  Because reproach would not give anything good and they knew it.  ||
↻ Same times that were shortened by something, something that neither Jason nor Damian knew about but that would hit them horribly.
↻ Venom would never say it out loud but that lightness and elegant wildness was so attractive, you attracted people like moths to a light and he began to be a moth in search of that unique luminous glow.  I enjoyed seeing you more relaxed, hanging out with friends with uproarious laughter who invited you to drink, to smoke (he always laughed at you for your concerns about developing addiction or illness, Venom protected you on a systemic level, but tried not to be a habit) and to get lost at night between isolated parts on motorcycles and giving you an opportunity to take advantage of everything that surrounded you but you ignored for being so clinging to self-control to avoid being the center of your parent.
↻ That elegant and vicious savagery presented itself in your patrol, with the perpetual thought that both Venom and you shared the thought that there were people who should not continue to live and having Venom, you could follow that thought.  Not without first reaching agreements, agreeing on blind spots and investigating each person close to being devoured, Venom hated it but that gave them the security of only really bad people disappearing.
↻ Venom had times when he was in full control to chase down specific targets and devour them into the blind spots of cameras that infested all of Gotham like bugs, as raw meat and chocolate wouldn't always be enough, you knew that from the endless hours talking.  And although you dealt with that underlying guilt for months, you managed to deal with it to move forward, like everything in your life.
↻ Thus the disappearances began, criminals whose crimes attacked the innocent fell but there was a pattern that Batman did not take long to notice.  All those who died were charged with horrendous crimes such as horrific rapes, horrific murders for pleasure, intentional terrorists who attacked entire cities, people who attacked humanity itself and all within a specific schedule that was from 4:30 to 5:05 am of on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  However, no evidence of anything was ever found, only the disappearance remained with no bodies found.  But everything caused a bitter aftertaste in Batman that he saw more than his companions saw and it weighed on him.
↻ No one knew what was going on.
↻ Until suspicion fell on you, the non-existent clues pointed close to you and your brothers (except Damian and Jason) immediately thought it was you, no one doubted it and that went deep.  It went so deep that Venom felt that vicious chill of anger and betrayal rumble through your bones, because they don't ask, they just accuse.
↻ That tiny thought said out loud upset you, made you angry and furious for reasons that no one but Venom knew, an uncontrollable rage that you could barely contain inside yourself and that Venom little by little began to take as his own, to rage for all baseless accusations leveled at you from your own father.  When there was more behind, there was a lot more behind but since you weren't The Joker, Catwoman, Harley Queen and any of the Gotham villains that your father played tag with.  Because you were not The Joker who "repented" of what he did in the past to obtain mercy and help, the same as if he received.  But you, oh no!  Nerd.
↻ Everything exploded from one moment to another.
||  Never in your years of patrolling and being a vigilante did the suit weigh you down in such a way.  The damn bat was stinging your chest like a white phosphorus burn and the kevlar armor was suffocating you, the sweat itching your skin horribly.  In your head the voice of Venom did not make a dent in your own thoughts so violent, it was like pouring sharp stones inside your skull for everyone to shake you.
He was hurting you.  All the accusations caused your silence to make you even more guilty in everyone's eyes, because of course everyone followed that stupid rule.  I couldn't follow her, you couldn't when those bastards only got a year in prison getting out of jail early, those sons of bitches who destroyed your little family away from the central core and continued to rape, kill and take lives.  You couldn't, you couldn't conceive it when even the horrific scene of your mother being tortured and you forced to watch, you couldn't.  A stupid rule allowed vile beings like them to roam the streets when they snatched preschool girls, people from their families, when they kept torturing people and blowing up schools.  And both Batman and his team did nothing, they just played to send him to jail so they could come out later to continue their streak.
Nothing made sense.
And your silence, a silence so devoid of reaction, only gave reason to the 'best detectives' in the world.  Ridiculous titles to tell the truth, the situation at that point was funny.
"Won't you say anything son?"  questioned Batman with that damn voice that he used with criminals, he was treating you like a criminal when yesterday he had promised to attend your volleyball game (promise that would never be fulfilled).
And that made you explode, that stupid modulated and regulated tone of voice poked you in the wrong way just like that distant day.  You took off the command mask breaking it in your hand without even measuring your strength and Venom's momentum on your body, ignoring the look of Damian, Alfred and Jason, you couldn't stand it anymore.  Not anymore, you were fed up and the hatred was filtered to get lost, the resentment instead scratched you viciously and made you laugh.
Laughter that indicated you were far from you.  Damian felt his heart break to see you so broken, vulnerable and angry because you knew you would never kill because yes and by the looks of Alfred and Jason they knew it, only Batman denied any approach.
"What do I need to say if the incomparable Batman already blamed me, nothing will get you out of it" and your voice was just shaky, sounding so discordant from your normal tone.
And when Batman's hand wanted to touch your shoulder, a blackish mass emerged cutting the skin and protecting you at your weakest, most vulnerable moment.  Venom wouldn't let him hurt you, not again.
"I don't know what the hell I expect, that they even doubt me" you said prisoner of everything, of pressure, of pain, of anger, rage and rage as well as of fear, panic and terror.  You laughed hysterically trying to scratch your skin but Venom wouldn't let you protect your skin from your short fingernails and you couldn't take it anymore, no more "I don't know what I expect, dammit"
And everyone sprang into action as that blackish mass emerged to hover around you like a protective wave that repelled every thrown batarang and made you jump back as close to your bike as possible.  Venom tried to protect you but the unmistakable pain and anguish made you more angry, more out of you but it didn't matter.  He would protect your blind and weak spots, because he would first die before leaving you to die alone.  And since Red Hood was sneaking off with something in hand next to the younger Robin, they would help.
Within seconds of being attacked, Batman made everyone calm down, as if he were dealing with a wild animal without reason.  That made you even angrier.
“Yes, it was me who did everything and I really don't regret it!  Your eternal crusade is useless because you only play hide and seek with those sons of bitches” you retaliated with anguished cries.
"It's not what you think son-"
"Don't call me son with a damn! You don't even know the most basic of me. And the little you know is because of Alfred" you answered in the middle of hysteria feeling how Venom threatened to take control and you pushed him down, with the last what was left of you you ripped off the useless gray chest emblem throwing it away from you at your father's feet, getting as far away from them as possible and having the motorcycle in your sights covering you hastily with the helmet "And you know what? I don't matter!”
Before anyone could react, several tear gas and smoke bombs exploded at the same time, catching everyone off guard because it was coming from three different directions.
It was only the beginning of the end.  ||
↻ With your escape only an endless search began, nobody knew where you had fled and that created a conflict in the league.  No one could say anything, some were in agreement with your actions but doubtful that you had it inside you and others who were flatly opposed.  Surprisingly, it was Super Man who calmed the chaos at that time, because he agreed to start a search for the motives behind your actions.  Along with many others from the League, the same ones that Batman discarded as if nothing happened to look for you until he found you.
↻ Because it was always that rule before his family, that was seen by everyone until now and nobody could say anything, they would not say anything.
↻ Little did they know, it was a matter of days before you managed to lose everyone including Jason and Damian to decide what to do next, considering that you only had your mother's family number on the cell phone that you always kept for emergencies.  Nothing was certain, having to scrap and shelve vehicles left and right, you weren't well yet but it was an understatement of how you really felt.
↻ "We can be vigilantes and roam the world, and call ourselves Lethal Protector" Venom enthused inside your head while in a tattered mirror you trimmed your always long hair letting it fall in the sink "So we can go kicking ass"
↻ Venom talked a lot and it was what you needed, a respite from all the shit that was going on around you.
↻ You felt so shitty and in pain, in suffering because that shitty rule was always more important than family.  But that pain was slowly sleeping, so deeply that it was ridiculous.  You just needed to get them out of your system.
↻ The reflection that the mirror gave you back was unbelievable, it wasn't you and for the first time it was your own expression free of control, you hardly recognized yourself.  That freedom gave you encouragement and circulated the blood in your veins, with decision you deleted the contact and dialed a number that you knew by heart;  of your brother Jason.
||  The rain came pouring down around you, your sheltered under a stop on some road with the next target weighing in the pocket of your commando clothing.  It hadn't been that hard to get out of those shitholes.
"Marco" you said before bringing the cigarette to your lips enjoying how Venom ate everything you had bought before the hunt.
Being a bounty hunter had always appealed to you, with your unerring fame and training it was easy, and with the right connections you'd gotten rid of any traces you could leave for the old man.
"Polo, damn [Name] it's been weeks, where the hell are you?"
It was impossible to camouflage the little pain in your chest but you cradled it, they were your feelings and they were all accepted.
"Just to tell you that I'm fine, let D know too... And sorry for everything, I'm so sorry."
Once the call was made, you threw the cell phone onto the highway where a car swept it away, taking it to pieces.  Venom was laughing excited to be able to go around looking for whatever it was that your target was. “As I see this, we can do everything!”  ||
↻ Grayscale was filled with colors when the Wayne name and that perfectly false golden boy had been buried with the dead, it was just a blank canvas waiting for thousands of colors.

For the 🍯Honey and Venom🧪 AU, I kinda headcanon that the way Reader met the VenomWings is because they took care of one the adults when they were wounded and unable to connect to the HiveMind.
It could be Logan/Wolverine, having gotten into a battle with an enemy and who ended up crashed into a wounded, dazed heap, and Reader spent several hours moving him somewhere safer, then spends the next several days to a week or two nursing him back to health, and he grows attached to this weird-looking dragonet who acts like a hivemate and is sweet as any VenomWing honey. When he is back in the HiveMind he plants the thought of getting Reader to join them, to become a young VenomWing...
It could be Charles Xavier/The Professor, who tried to go on a diplomatic mission, ended up separated from Erik/Magneto and the others, and who ends up being in the company of Reader. Who then proceeds to guide him back to the edge of VenomWing territory, all while distracting or fighting off any dangerous dragons or deadlier prey animals. He would try to invite Reader to join him and his Hive, and if met with a no, finds it no problem to do an impromptu tour anyways (read: he decides to forcefully adopt and kidnap them, and Erik/Magneto is there to keep an eye on them)...
It could be Victor/Sabretooth, who might have ended up imprisoned or was being hunted, then Reader throws the hunters off, maybe even bites two or three. They spend the next several days trying to protect him, all while he is confused as h*ck and slowly growing attached to this tiny whelp of a dragon. The moment they're a few hours' flight from the Hive, he is dragging them back with him, sedated and too dazed and tired to fight him, and he's making plans to get his brother to also adopt them...
It could be Ororo/Storm, who helped Reader find food or water or a safe place to stay during bad weather, and they bonded. Reader would try to tell her stories and share food with her, and Storm would enjoy talking with someone about plants and weather and anything and having the chance to hug them. She'd be the one most likely (after Xavier) to convince Reader to freely come (and yes, both would leave out the HiveMind and VenomWing transformation and if it's the 🥚Tiny Sting🐝 AU variant, the fact they venom would turn Reader into a baby dragonet)...
To be fair, it could be any adult (or older teen, maybe?) who would meet then, grow attached, and try to get Reader to join them. They would all be quick to the idea of another member of the HiveMind, and have no problems with Reader not being a born VenomWing or even a partially a SilkWing or HiveWing like their ancestors. They love them because they are nice and were kind to them when no other dragon was, and because Reader helped them and continued to do so even after things became dangerous.
They'd definitely want to help Reader pick a VenomWing name after Reader was possibly converted. They are just very excited they get to have their new dragonet/sibling/hivemate with them, and are glad that it won't be much longer until Reader does accept them and their Hive as their family...

I can see pavitr's reaction if his sibling has a venom symbiote but sweet boi doesn't care as he will try not to become enemies with his siblings as their venom could be just wanting to protect the reader as they protect others
Oh yeah no he doesn’t care. He just wants his sibling safe, he definitely has the better relationship with his Sibling Venom!Reader then Gwen does by chance. Venom Prabhakar!Reader is Neutral, like, they aren’t good or evil just doing whatever the fuck they seem is right so I guess a vigilante. Pavitr totally has snacks on him for whenever his sibling or Venom get hungry. If anyone tries to insult either his sibling or venom they get two threats then Pavitr getting ready to beat them shitless while smiling, his overprotective behavior is through the roof now.
Sweet boy just want Venom Prabhakar!Reader to be near him, safe, and don’t kill people unless needed.

REDO: Symbiotes being assholes Part 2
yaya! I'm finally finished with this! I'm really tired rn and this week has been very hectic for me, so I'm happy that I was able ti finish it on time! I tried to base it around the work that I've done previously and stuff, so I hope you guys enjoy it :)
words: 4194 (not including the bonus at the end \^o^/)
warnings: kidnapping, arguing, yelling, blood, somebody dies, basically no privacy in the carnage household btw, lmk if I missed any!
summary: the aftermath of being taken once again has finally simmered down, and you live your life (mostly) peacefully.
Tumblr media
~~~
“________?”
You had opened your eyes, trying to see who was talking to you, but you only saw darkness. When you tried to respond, the only thing that came out was some kind of raspy breath. You internally cringed, but tried again, this time muttering out some gargled nonsense.
“_____! My baby, you can hear me. Where are you?”
What? You couldn’t focus on anything, even the strange voice, and you covered your face with your arms. You could hear the voice say something else, something about where you were. But it was too late. Suddenly, everything around turned into nothing, and you felt yourself falling for a second, before “landing” on your bed.
Your eyes shot open and you leaned on your elbow, trying to get rid of the dizziness in your head. What was that? Who was that?
“________, if you don’t open this damn door!”
Your mind suddenly remembered where you were, and you quickly jumped out of bed, ignoring your headache, and rushed to the door. You took off your makeshift ‘lock’ that was basically a bungee cord attached to your bedpost, before the door swung open, almost hitting you.
Cletus stormed into the room, obviously very upset. “What the hell were you doing in here?” You wanted to roll your eyes. He took you, and now you’re expected to just do whatever he says? “I was having a bad dream. Couldn’t wake up.” He gave you a look, and you reiterated, “I’m serious! I couldn’t hear you!”
He gave you another look, before asking, “Are you sure that you weren’t just ignoring me?” You knew he was going to go this route. He had… control issues. Ever since you got here, it was not what you couldn’t do, it was what you could do. You could walk anywhere you wanted in the house, except the front room. You could watch TV anytime you wanted, or play any of the games that were there from the previous owners. Anything else was either off limits, or he needed to be with you to do so.
“I’m not ignoring you, I swear. I didn’t know you were at the door, if I did I would’ve answered it.” You tried to plead with him, knowing that he would get angrier if you just argued with him. “Even if you were asleep, what’s with the lock? Do you not trust us?” He held the cord in his hand, letting it hang loosely from it. You shook your head, “I just want some privacy… Like, what if you had walked in on me when I was changing?”
He scoffed, and walked over to your bedpost, where the other end of the bungee cord was attached. He lifted it up, pulling it out from underneath. He dropped the bed with a loud bang. “Oh, don’t give me that. I knock, you know.” He wrapped the cord around his arm, before he pulled it off and began to walk back to the door.
“I made you breakfast. If you don’t want it to get cold, you should put on a robe and come out.”
He closed the door, and left you to get ready, and let your thoughts simmer. You were angry. Not to the point you would show it, but more rather your mind was making fantasy arguments with itself.
He can’t take it! It was ours, we made it ourselves! He’s violating our privacy! We just want some peace once in a while, is that too hard to ask?
You knew that making these little scenarios in your head wouldn’t help with your mood, so you tried to drop it. Instead, you wondered what you could do that day. You could clean up around the house a bit, or you could try to convince him again to let you cook something, maybe a small snack.
Maybe you could even talk him into letting you outside.
You took back the thought as soon as your mind brought it up. There was no way in hell he would ever let you outside, even with his supervision. He had too many people looking for him, too many people who would have no problems hurting you either. Of course, this is what he told you. You knew that he didn’t want you outside in case you tried to call for help or anything similar to it, but it still made you pissed that you were in the same situation as you were when you were with Eddie.
Putting on your slippers, you quickly rushed out the door, not wanting to make him any more mad than he already was.
---
The food Cletus had given you was good, you had to admit. You knew it wasn’t him who had cooked it, as he had stated he couldn’t cook very well, but probably Carnage, his own symbiote. You picked at the hashbrowns he had given you, not really eating, but also making it seem like you weren’t spacing out. Since Carnage had heightened senses that also passed to Cletus, it was hard for them to miss something about you. It reminded you of Venom, in a way.
Both Venom and Carnage were both extremely similar, both being symbiotes, having pretty much the same abilities, but that's really where their similarities ended.
While Venom was much more patient and usually let you be in peace, Carnage was impatient and was even more controlling than Cletus. Carnage would sometimes just sit on his shoulder, and whisper into Cletus’ ear, telling him what he should do, what he should say. Sometimes, if you listened carefully you could hear it tell him random little things.
Carnage was also very much more present than Venom was. While you had assumed Venom just didn’t make himself appear because he thought you would be scared of him, Carnage had no such worries. They would sometimes just take over and talk to you randomly, usually about what you were doing or what you wanted to do. At the beginning, when you would try to argue with Cletus, they would take over and make you submit through sheer size, and lock you in your room using a chair. They wouldn’t let you out unless you apologized to both of them.
“Are you going to eat, or are you going to pout over your little lock?”
You looked over, seeing that carnage was making more food, probably for you. You turned back to your own plate, and continued to eat your food. You heard a little ‘hmm’ from Carnage before they continued to make whatever they was making.
Looking around, you saw the remote sitting on the other side of the table. You reached over the table, trying to grab it, but to no avail. You were about to get up to grab it, when it was taken from your sight. Carnage raised it above your hand, asking, “You could’ve asked us, you know.”
You shrugged. “You are busy making yourself breakfast.” Carnage rolled their eyes at that. “I’m making all this food for you, and all you can do is still be mad about that stupid lock. You know, we take care of you for free, and you treat us like this, all the time, every day.”
They walked back over to the stove, and grabbed the pan they were using. “Here, I hope this makes your attitude better.” They tilted it to your place, and a pancake slid off onto it. They walked back to the stove, putting the pan down, and pouring more of the mixture onto it.
You knew that they wouldn’t give you back the remote unless you apologized, so you quietly muttered, “I’m sorry.”
They stopped and turned around, still holding the remote. “What did you say?”
Trying not to grit your teeth, you said, “I’m sorry.”
“Sorry for what?”
Just get it over with, _____, it won’t help for you to be petty. “I’m sorry for putting a lock on my door without asking you first.”
They smiled, their teeth gleaming in the light. “That wasn’t so hard, was it? Apology accepted.”
They handed you the remote, before they turned back to the stove. You faced the TV, turning it on to the first channel.
“-and tonight, we have news on the supervillain Doctor Octopus, who was defeated with combined efforts, both Spiderman and Venom bringing him down. While Spideman was present after the attack for questions and the police, Venom quickly disappeared and officials are asking for any info on him to be reported to the police, or call this number-”
“Change it!” You didn’t think twice, changing it to the next channel. Another news program, this time showing some weather report on the city. You heard them grumble something, before Carnage said, “Better.”
That was another thing you had noticed from both Eddie and Venom, along with Cletus and Carnage. They both hated each other. While you weren’t aware of Carnage when you were with Eddie, you sure knew about their hatred towards each other when you were with Cletus and Carnage. They had told you their origin story about how Carnage was left behind by Venom and Eddie, and how Cletus had found them all alone, and they had joined together. You weren’t sure if it was true, but you were sure of their rivalry to each other.
However, it was also strange to see Eddie and Venom work so closely with Spiderman. You remembered Venom saying something about him, how he didn't know what he was doing.
Suddenly, Carnage dropped another pancake on your plate, before they started putting all the dishes in the sink. When they was done, he turned back to you, asking, “Could you clean the dishes today, _____?"
You nodded, and they gave a small pat on the head. Carnage dissapeared, going under Cletus's skin. Cletus walked towards the coat rack, and grabbed his usual jacket. “We’ll be back, don’t worry: if you need any food, there’s snacks in the cupboards. Don’t use the stove or oven, you might burn yourself.”
With that, they walked to the door. “We’ll be back in a few hours!”
“Bye.” You said, more to yourself. When you heard the last click of the locks, you let out a sigh you didn’t realize you were holding. You finished your plate, and put it with the rest of the dishes, before you went to get ready.
---
He sat on his throne, angry, frustrated… a little fearful.
His baby was on some planet, with someone who was a known killer! He had no idea if they were alive, or if they were hurt, and the worst part was that no one could give him any damn answers.
He looked down at the photo he had of you. It wasn’t even a good one, solely of your face. It was blurry, but he knew what he saw. His baby.
He placed the photo down in his lap, before he quickly summoned one of his guards. “Get ready.” He stood up, walking down the stairs from his throne.
“Today is the day we will return to Earth, and take back what is ours.”
---
You knew something was up when Cletus came back earlier than expected. He had come back from his usual afternoon outing with groceries and the like, to tell you he hadn’t eaten anything all day (meaning he hadn’t eaten anyone that day). So he left again, making you your favorite sandwiches. He had promised you that he would make the both of you some pasta when he got back. So when he came back 3 hours early, and was an absolute mess, you knew something was wrong.
He was mindlessly putting things into different bags, and grabbing random things only to move them somewhere else. Carnage was on his shoulder, whispering things into his ear. He was muttering things back to them, still moving things frantically into bags.
You tried to talk to him, “Cletus, is something up?”
He had turned to you, saying, “Pack a bag or two. We’re leaving.”
“What? Why?” You walked up to him, trying to see what Carnage was saying to him. You listened closely, “he’s coming here, they told us he was here, I don't care if it might be a fake, he is not someone to be messed with-"
He turned to face you, and you realized he looked like hadn’t slept in a week. You straightened your posture, trying not to act like you were just eavesdropping. “Pack a bag or two. We are leaving tonight, around 8 or 9. Sooner the better.”
You wanted to say something else, but he went back to packing. So you decided fuck it, if he wants to move so bad, they can.
You grabbed the biggest bag you could find, and started picking clothes and belongings to bring with you.
---
The road was bumpy, and certainly not comfortable when you were trying to sleep. It was obvious that neither Cletus or Carnage wanted to see anyone during this trip, so they decided to go on the backroads, ones where you might see one or two other cars the whole way down. It also helped that it was nighttime, and there was barely any light to see in front of you, so even if there was someone else, they wouldn't really notice either of you, and just think of you as another car.
The whole time, Cletus was focused on the road. Carnage wasn’t even on his shoulder like they usually would. The whole time it was simply silence from the both of you. You didn’t know what Cletus was planning on doing, or if he even had a plan.
He was worried about something. You’ve never really seen him worried like this. Sure, he could get antsy or anxious when something was about to happen, but he was never actually fearful of anything. But you couldn’t tell from what, either.
It might be the police. It might be someone who is after him. It might be Eddie and Venom. The thought of them suddenly brought you back to them, to the times you had shared with them. You could remember them arguing over something minimal while you ate whatever they had made for you that morning, listening to them bicker and sometimes silently laughing at their antics.
It made you… sad. Not much. But just enough where your mood was brought down a little. Apparently, it was very noticeable to them.
“What are you frowning at? Don’t tell me you were attached to that place.”
You looked out the window, trying to see if there was any light at all from the empty valley road you were driving on. “I’m not mad.”
He scoffed, “Well, something’s bothering you. What is it?”
You knew he wouldn’t be happy if he knew your real reason, so you quickly thought of something else that wouldn’t piss them off immediately.
“Why are you so stressed?”
“About what?”
“This whole thing. Is someone after you?”
As soon as you said it, you knew you messed up from the simple shift in tone of the conversation. Cletus didn’t answer for a few seconds, opening his mouth and closing it again. Before you could ask him anything else, he said, “There… is something after us, yes.”
You turned to look at him, and you could see he was trying to avoid your gaze. You took the hint and turned back towards the road. “Do you know who?”
Cletus rolled his shoulders, and it was obvious he was extremely tired or strained.
“I do. It’s not someone who’s easy to avoid.”
The road was becoming less rough and janky. You realized that you were on a highway, the nearby areas completely flat, with some rock formations here and there. It was a stark contrast to the forests you had seen on the way there.
“Where are we going, anyway?” Deciding to move on, you realized that making him talk about it would make things worse. You could at least try to find out everything else.
“Other side of the country. I know a safe house. Not really a house, but Carnage says it's still there.”
You didn’t realize that you were going to be so far from home. You tried to remember your family, your real family. There were bits and pieces, but in the months that you’ve been gone, it was harder to remember anything about your family. In fact, you’ve barely thought about them. It made you wonder if they even remembered you at all. Were they still looking for you? Did they even care at this point?
“Get some sleep: It’s almost one in the morning. I’ll wake you up when I find a place to rest.”
Looking around and realizing that there probably wasn’t going to be anything for miles, you closed your eyes and slowly fell asleep.
---
When you woke up, there was blood over the windshield. That got you up pretty fast. You turned to ask what happened, but Cletus nor Carnage wasn’t there. You peeked out from the window, and saw that he was over someone, probably dead already, and he was eating them.
You pulled yourself back down, and sighed. You wanted to just fall back asleep, but you realized that you had to go to the bathroom. While your mind was just telling you to ignore it, you saw that there was a bathroom in view, just a few meters away from where the truck was parked.
Fuck it, you thought. There wouldn’t be a spot to stop at for a while, right? You opened the door slowly, hoping he wouldn’t hear you. Unfortunately, he did.
He turned towards you just as you hopped out and quietly closed the door. You both stared at each other for a second, before he said, “Let me just finish this and we’ll take a break at this place. There are snacks in that store behind you. Grab whatever.”
You nodded, and he went back to his meal. While he was busy, you went to the bathroom and did your business.
When you got out, he was still eating, so you decided to explore the place a bit. You were quick to realize that it was someone's little shop, with 2 gas pumps out next to it. The store was quiet, and you put two and two together to realize that the guy he was eating was the one who probably worked there. That didn’t stop you from taking a few snacks and drinks. You knew that you would be hungry, if you weren’t just sick from watching some guy get eaten.
When you walked outside, Cletus was dragging the body away, probably behind the store to hide, leaving behind a very prominent trail of blood. You ignored him, and walked towards the truck to put the items in the back seat. Organizing them so they wouldn’t fall, and so that they would be easy to grab if you needed anything, you leaned back to make sure everything was ok. You felt thirsty, and looked at the food to see if you had gotten any water, but you realized you didn’t grab any. Groaning, you closed the door and walked back to the store. Cletus was still hiding the body, you would’ve presumed, as he wasn’t back from hiding it.
You walked around the store, trying to find where they put the water, when you heard something outside. You looked over the stands, trying to see if anything was outside or if Cletus was just messing with you. But there was nothing. You continued looking, thinking it was just the wind or some animal. When you found a few bottles of them, you grabbed some and walked to the door.
When you reached the truck, you opened the back door again, and threw the bottles into it, and closed the door. You heard someone behind you, and you turned to ask Cletus if he was done.
“Are you done with your m-”
The first thing that gave away that it wasn’t Carnage or Cletus was the pure height of the person. They had to be at least 8 feet tall, if not more. They were huge in comparison to you. You backed away, hitting the door of the truck as you slid around it, trying to get as much space between you and whoever this was.
They didn’t seem to care, as they moved with you, around the truck and then behind it. You turned, trying to sprint away, but you yelped when you were suddenly pulled off the ground and into the air. You kicked your legs behind you, knowing it was them who had you, but it was no use.
Suddenly, you were dropped right back onto the concrete, and landed right on your nose. As soon as you hit the ground, you heard a crunch, and you were able to tell that your nose was broken after a few seconds. For a minute, you didn’t do anything, your mind still reeling being dropped a few feet face first, along with the upcoming pain of your nose. However, the noise of a fight made you roll over onto your back and lift your head up to see Carnage and the stranger having their own little fight.
Your eyes widened, seeing how effortlessly he was just batting Carnage away with his hand. Everytime Carnage would try to strike, or even just go near them, the attacker would just swat him down and away. It was like some game to him: it would’ve been amusing to watch had you not been terrified.
Carnage, on the other hand, seemed enraged. Like whoever it was, had pissed him off so much that he didn’t even care about you at that moment, and all he wanted to do was kill them. You could even hear Cletus every time he yelled or screamed, meaning that even he was irate about whoever it was as well.
However, it seemed that even the man, as you had figured out by then, was getting bored of his attacks. His movements seemed to be more lazy and disinterested: he was irritated.
Suddenly, he grabbed Carnage by the neck, like he did with you, however much more aggressively. Carnage started to kick and bat his arms around, almost trying to scratch the stranger's face.
“I am done with this childish game, Carnage.” They said it with such annoyance and malice that even you winced at their tone. They moved him to the side, just for a moment, before they threw him away, at least a few couple meters away. Carnage was thrown so far away, that you couldn’t even see them through the darkness.
You lifted yourself up onto your arms, going to see what the hell happened to him, when you realized that your sudden movement attracted the attention of him.
“Oh, fuck.” you quickly tried to scurry away, looking around for places to hide. Before you could even think of the best place, you were picked up (again) by the man. He cradled you like you would break at any moment. You tried to say something, but he shushed you.
“It’s ok, my dear.” he whispered, trying to soothe you. You didn’t listen to him, instead kicking and trying to push away from him. You saw his smile falter, but only a little.
He began to walk away, carrying you towards the woods, opposite of where Cletus and Carnage were. You realized what was going on, and you were starting to panic. You started to scream, but he placed his hand over your mouth, and rubbed your cheek with his thumb.
“Oh, don’t cry _____, I promise that we’ll be home soon enough-”
The sound of an agonized, irate scream broke his sentence. The man rolled his eyes, and turned around. Carnage was there, his own ‘skin’ falling down from his face, revealing Cletus underneath, who seemed to be passed out.
“Give them back!” Carnage trudged along, and it was obvious something was wrong with their legs. Looking at it further, it seemed to be the knee bending inwards. Even still, they continued on with, stumbling towards the both of you.
With a scoff, the man raised his hand. “Rumble. Deal with them.” he began to turn, just as carnage was getting ready to strike. However, that moment never came. A blur of purple and orange appeared, slamming Carnage into the store through the window, a loud burst of shattering glass being thrown everywhere, including towards you.
You raised your hands, bracing for the tiny little pieces to hit you, when you felt the hand be removed from your mouth. You opened your eyes, realizing that the man was shielding you from the glass. He wasted no time, either, turning back around to the woods.
As he walked away from the brutal carnage (heh) behind you, he looked down at you with such adornment and endearment that you almost thought that he was out of it.
“My name is Knull, little one. And you are my child.”
.
.
BONUS:
Eddie leaned against the car door, already pissed that he had to wait. He knew that he was a kid, and that his symbiote wasn't even really grown, but he didn't know them very well. For all he knew, it could be some ploy by Carnage and Cletus themselves.
Give it time, Eddie. He might still show. He could already hear Venom sympathizing with them. "I know, I know. Just tired."
Right before he decided to just get in and drive away, he heard a small thump from behind him. He turned his head, and saw him. He was wearing a hoodie, and almost ran towards Eddie.
"Where the hell were you?" He scoffed, not wasting any time. He got in the drivers seat, while the kid got into the passenger.
"Hey, do you know how hard it is to sneak out when your parents are watching you like a hawk? Besides, I got some info."
As he started to drive, Eddie quickly asked, "What kind of info, trustworthy?"
The kid sighed, before saying, "I know you don't trust me very well because of the whole 'spawn of carnage' deal, but I don't like him any more than you do."
Listen to him! Even his own, uh, child doesn't want to follow him!
Eddie sighed, knowing that he was wrong. "Ok. I understand." he leaned in closer, making sure that the kid knew he heard him. "But if I find out your lying to me, it's over for you."
He could hear Venom berating him, but he quickly became quiet when the kid responded, "Hey, that's a deal. Besides, if anyone's gonna kill him..."
His hand morphed into something red and black, shifting into the symbiote before shifting back into a human.
"It's gonna be me and Toxin."
~~~
I did it! happy christmas to those who celebrate! and yes, one of the main reasons I decided to rewrite this whole series was because I wanted to include a lot more symbiotes that would make their own part and plays!
also, personally I think Carnage is portrayed more in a feminine way, so originally I gave the she/her pronouns but I looked it up and it was 50/50 so I decided to just change them to they/them, so whatever you view them as can be portrayed here!
love you all sm, thank you for such a great year, and for being so patient with me! I love, love all of you so much o(* ̄▽ ̄*)ブ

----
You've always adored your parents. Your Dad loved teaching you his skills within engineering and programming, and thought it was your little gadgets were adorable. Your Mum on the other hand, showed you all sorts of sci-fi and fantasy movies- but your favourites were the Marvel movies. Something about the way they told stories and built characters fascinated you, the same way technology did.
Your favourite character was Venom. It was this big tough guy but was protective of those it loved, and looked totally badass. So, in your early teens, you decided to combine your two loves into one. You took inspiration from Tony Stark's holograms, and got to work.
You spent the next years getting up at the crack of dawn and staying awake till it arrived again, putting all your spare time into your project. Your Dad helped with the technical parts, and your Mum helped where she could- mainly with apple slices and words of encouragement. You pushed yourself past your limits, designing and building something that could change the world forever.
Then the day came.
You pushed your hair out of your face, looking down at this meter high circular object that took up most of your basement. You wrung your hands together, nervous and yet so excited. You had spent so long working on this, and if it didn't work...you don't know what you would do. You took a deep breath, and pressed a button on the machine.
There was a tense pause, and then all of a sudden your machine flickered to life. A holograph of a man appeared before you, doing a spin before his eyes landed on you. You started laughing while he raised an eyebrow at you. "Uh, hello? Where the fuck am I? And who the hell are you?" You grinned at him, "I'm Y/N. You're a holographic version of a fictional character. You're technically in my machine, but we're in my basement."
Eddie Brock stared at you in slight disbelief, then shrugged, seemingly accepting this was his life. A tentacle appeared on his shoulder, forming into a head. You waved at it, and it grinned at you. You started to laugh in disbelief again, "Ok, I'm gonna go get my parents, so don't go anywhere. Well, you can't, but that's beside the point." You ran to the stairs, turning behind you once again, then sprinted up the stairs yelling for your Dad to come downstairs.

Broken Glass
Warnings: none (I think), let me know if I missed any :)
Pairings: Eddie Brock x reader platonic, Venom x reader platonic
Request: Hi! Requesting a fluff/comfort fic with eddie Brock/venom (if you write for them) with a reader who has an emotional attachment to a small milk pouring porcelain/China dish thats smaller than their palm and when he knocks into their arm they break it and he comforts them? I broke something like this today and had a total meltdown so I really want comfort to this exact scenario if possible! /nf. Preferably fem reader or nb with soft features, if not that's completely fine! Love your writing, A.S
Request by: @angelic-simp
*not my gif*
Summary: Chaos always ensues when Eddie and Venom are around
A/N: I wanted to make this better but I really hope you enjoy anyway!!
Please don’t plagiarize my work, you may reblog if you like but I’m asking that you don’t steal my hard work
Tumblr media
You hummed an unknown tune softly, taking a towel and gently rubbing it against the delicate surface of the porcelain to rid it of the water droplets that sat upon it from you just washing it.
The small milk pouring porcelain was arguably the most precious thing you owned. It was your first ever purchase when you were young and saw it in a store window. You had saved every penny you earned from household chores so that you could buy the beautiful dish, and it had been with you ever since because of how well you had taken care of it.
The tune continued to play across your lips as you moved about the kitchen in a slow sway to the self-made music, completely unaware of the disaster heading your way.
Eddie and Venom were fighting. Again. It seemed to be a never ending cycle with the two of them. One would say something particularly awful and then would have to apologize eventually after a lot of fighting.
There were also the smaller fights though- such as the one they were currently stuck in- where there was just a back and forth of endless, but petty, bickering over nothing.
“I do not want pizza tonight!” Venom's deep voice boomed, to which Eddie glared at the head.
“What the hell does it matter?” He hissed back, throwing his arms out to the side, “You just stuff the food into your mouth without even tasting it, anyway!”
The aliens' eyes narrowed, “That doesn’t mean I’m in the mood for it.”
A scoff escaped from Eddie’s lips as he turned on his heels and made his way to the kitchen, both of them completely unaware of the other presence in the room.
With a grunt of displeasure, Venom conjured up a hand and used it to push Eddie in the back and send him stumbling. Right. Into. You.
Your shriek was the first thing they heard, followed by the crash and shatter of your dish, causing both of them to freeze.
You dropped to your knees, frantically picking up the broken pieces as if it could save what had been broken in the fall.
“No, no, no,” Your words came out muffled and in between tears that had begun to slip out of your eyes and cascade down your face.
“Oh shit,” The horrored words left Venoms mouth only a second before he disappeared, apparently deciding that Eddie could be the one to deal with the situation.
“Oh shit,” Eddie echoed, quickly falling to the ground beside you, trying to pick up some of the thousand pieces, “Shit, shit, shit.” He turned to face you with wide eyes, “Oh my god, I’m so sorry.”
You didn’t even have the strength to answer as another sob racked through your body and you cradled a couple parts of your beloved porcelain to your chest before standing up and rushing off.
Venom's head slowly appeared once you were out of sight, and Eddie turned a harsh glare to him, “Look what you did to her.” He hissed dangerously, and this time, the alien didn’t even have a comeback.
-•-
A couple hours later, you had finally run out of tears, so you sat on the couch, staring at the blank television screen with puffy eyes and a red face.
You had done so well keeping it intact for so long, only to have it ruined by two of the people you cared about most in the world.
Deep down, you knew that they hadn’t meant to do it, but you couldn’t help the slight resentment you felt for the two of them for what they did.
Even at the sound of shuffling feet across the floor, you didn’t look away from the screen, knowing exactly who it was.
“Hey,” Eddie called hesitantly, earning a scowl in return from you, “Look, I’m- we both- are really sorry.” His voice was slightly begging, “We know how much it meant to you, but Venom has something for you.”
That drew your attention, so you slowly turned your head to where Venom had taken Eddie’s place, kicking his large feet back and forth in front of the couch and he pulled something out from behind his back, holding it ever so delicately in his monstrous hands.
A small gasp escaped from your lips and you flew from your seat, peering down at the object he held.
There, very badly glued back together, was your milk pouring china dish.
Though it wasn’t just like it was before, it was still something, and you couldn’t help the wave of appreciation that overcame you in that moment.
Without a thought, you threw your arms around Venoms neck and pulled him into a hug, sniffling slightly and not even noticing the way he stumbled a little to make sure the dish didn’t go crashing against the ground once more.
“Thank you,” You whispered for both him and Eddie to hear, knowing that neither of them could have done it without the other.
And though you were still angry, there was a sense of happiness inside of you that you couldn’t ignore, knowing that they had cared enough to even try to put it back together.

Being Miguel’s legitimate daughter that he left behind and hosting Venom [FEM]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Platonic Drabble]
c/w: cringe writing, angst
[Unedited]
“How dare he?”
You ignored the symbiote raging in your head as you watched your father Miguel finish the battle with the Green Goblin variant. Binding him with glowing red organic webs and aligning him up and over his shoulder.
“How dare he return here?!”
“Venom,” you trailed exasperated. Obviously you weren’t happy at all to Miguel either but he hadn’t even seen you yet so what does it matter? Originally you and Venom had fully intended to take down Goblin and inform Peter B. Parker there was a variant in your dimension. (Don’t ask how you know him).
But then Miguel showed up instead, and honestly you should’ve expected that he would because he was the one who led the spider society. And he was among the first to know of any anomalies or unusual readings in any dimension.
And only Jessica and Lyla were a witness to the internal conflict inside him at the prospect of going to his daughter’s dimension. The daughter he abandoned in favor of a different one, a different daughter, a different universe… a different life.
He was absolutely certain that you hated him and you did, you held such bitterly angry and maliciously hateful feelings for him for such a long time. When you were young all you felt was confusion for his disappearance, but as you grew older and as time passed those feelings turned from rage at his betrayal… to utter heartbreak and despair at his departure.
For the longest time you’d believed that you’d done something wrong, because what had tog done that was so bad? What had you done that was so wrong? You didn’t mean to.. whatever it was you didn’t mean to.
Eventually you had come to learn that this was not a fault of yours, but of Miguel’s. You didn’t do a damn thing wrong, and you didn’t deserve this. Nobody did.
So you grew in the suffocatingly isolating darkness that was hate and grief. And as time passed you built walls thick and tall surrounding yourself, barbed defenses to protect your broken and vulnerable pieces. Behind those steeled doors you also tucked away the last part of your inner child, to keep her safe and protected.. from ever feeling this abandonment again.
When you were fourteen you’d found Venom, and at the time you had been living on the streets for close to two years. At fourteen is when you had very nearly quit on life, being alive was pain.. constant hurt that was very close to swallowing you whole.
Venom had stopped you, not because they had talked you out of it but more so because you were intrigued by the way they had glided across the ground. Even more so interested by the way the deep onyx goop slid up your hand before sinking into your body.
And you’ve been together ever since, the constant babble of the alien grated your nerves slightly but other than that you’d grown to love having them attached to you. And you wouldn’t change it for anything—
“[Y/Name]?”
You froze, previously having turned away from the scene of Miguel opening a glowing golden portal on the street below your perch to make a swift exit. But his voice had stopped you, and you’re not sure why you had even bothered to halt in your tracks.
“Wonderful,” you spat with toxin, “you remember my name.”
Miguel shouldn’t have been taken aback by your response, and he shouldn’t have been thrown off by your bite. He didn’t deserve to feel confused as to why you had responded to him so aggressively— because he knew why you had.
“Of course I do, I gave it to you.”
“Right,” you replied boredly before you were moving forward intent to leave the conversation there.
“[Y/Name]!” He called, and again you shouldn’t have given him even a second of your time but your broken and guarded heart longing for answers seemed to work your feet for you.
“[Y/Name], keep moving. Or I will. He does not deserve your time. He does not deserve you.”
“Did you ever wonder if I had even survived after you left? Did it ever cross your mind even once if I was still alive?”
“I checked on you regularly.”
“I see, the technology to travel through the multiverse also grants you the ability to peer into the lives of people you have ruined.”
You still hadn’t turned around, refusing to give him any sort of indication that you had actually cared about whatever it was he had to say.
“Look, I-I know that I’ve screwed up. I know that I hurt you—”
“Hurt me?” You chuckled humorlessly, a hitch of pain in your throat and fire on your tongue. “Hurt. Me? You may have before.. but you’ll never hurt me again.”
Venom had come through on the last word, enunciating the end of the sentence with a snarl. Ferocious and purely built from the pure emotional pain they could feel coming from their host.
Miguel subtly flinched at the deep growl in your tone, not enough for you to see but enough of a twitch that your heightened senses had picked up on it.
And you chose that moment to make your escape, stepping forward and utilizing Venom to vanish within the pitch black abyss of the shadows. The added darkness provided by the night sky and waning pale moonlight casting deeper shadows aiding Venom in helping you disappear entirely.
“[Y/Name] wait!—” Miguel reached out expecting to touch flesh but was met with nothing.
He stepped back, looked left then right then both directions once more before he exhaled tiredly and leapt back down to the road below. He lifted the Goblin and threw him in before jumping in himself, the portal closing behind him leaving the desolate street in utter darkness once again.
You had watched, this time from the gargoyle statue attached to the side of the roof’s lip on the building above. Venom formed off your shoulder, their head with white eyes and a mouthful of razor sharp teeth complimented well by the black ink of their exterior. And their head stretched off your shoulder by several tendons and tendrils still attached to your body.
You met his blank, milky white stare as he spoke.
“He will return. Whether he wishes to talk or— something more.. what will you do?”
“I made my feelings clear, if he returns. If I see him in my universe again. We. Kill. him.”
You watched as Venom’s grin grew exponentially at your sinister promise. The ominous threat on Miguel’s life exciting him after all the years of trauma and pain he had inflicted upon their host Venom wanted nothing more than to sink his teeth in and never let go.
And if granted the opportunity he would seize it with little to zero hesitation.
Every Spider-Man needs a nemesis, no emotionally richer story than having that nemesis be your own daughter.
“You are sure?”
“Absolutely.”
“You’ve grown cold. Sinister.”
“I am what he made me.”
a/n: I’m a little stoned and had this abrupt idea— 🫢 this is weak and maybe a lil’ cringe.. I know that, I’ll make it legit when I’m not baked 😐👍🏽

Being best friends and host to venom
Tumblr media
Your life went to shit, you got fired, your bills are racking up
It felt like your life was going nowhere
Until one day, during your sleep as it was a hot summers day you had to leave the window open
Then a black goo like substance crawled into your room and then absorbed into your skin, not that it disturbed your sleep
The next morning you noticed that you were a lot hungrier than usual
Specifically for chocolate and tater tots
It wasn’t until you went to the mirror until you realised why
“GAAH !!!” You didn’t see your reflection at all, it was something else
It had no eyes, lipless razer sharp teeth, it was tall and muscular and it had a black goo like skin
“What are you ??”
“We… are venom, and you are my host”
“Host ??”
“Yes, we now share a special bond, that we cannot break”
“Shit….”
Over the next week, you had to learn to live venom
During which you learned he is from an alien species called the symbiotes
Venom wasn’t like the rest of the symbiotes, most of them wanted to take over earth, even like you, venom was a loser on his planet
One day when you were walking home, you were getting mugged by knife point
“H..h..hey man take it easy !!”
“Money now kid !!!”
Before you could react venom swung into action, wrapping around you keeping you safe, while he took over. Revealing to the thief what you saw in the mirror
He grabbed the crook by the neck
“Don’t you EVER try to hurt my friend ever again !!”
Venom tossed him and then climbed up the building onto the rooftops seeing the city at night
“Thank you…..”
“Your welcome y/n”
“Your…. Your a really good friend”
So are you”
Someway or another you could feel venom smile at that
Your life had been turned upside down a few weeks ago, but now it was the best way possible
You had the bestest friend you could ask for
This is my first time writing a head canon so I am open to constructive criticism, please provide feedback below
