EE/Cult of the Lamb AU where the Crowns start resurfacing, starting with Howie. He doesn't want or get worship, but the respect from his Worker Bees is enough to power it. The other Crowns start appearing, causing all sorts of chaos as various groups scramble for them.

Oh this would be fun-wait where'd they go

I'm not quite sure how the crowns in Cult Of The Lamb work? I assumed you need to be chosen by some god of some kind, but the way you phrase it it sounds like we're treating them just like magic items that you can find in a back alley, so I'm just going off of whatever.

I mean either way you're right it's chaos so

Giovanni inexplicably obtaining a crown and (attempting to) use it to grow his supervillain group. Amazingly enough, the devotion from Molly and the rest of his boys would be enough to power it at least decently, and Giovanni is really creative, so he actually ends up being fairly powerful with it.

The Banzai Blasters catch wind of the crowns and infighting SKYROCKETS as every member higher-rank than Blaster fights tooth and nail to get them. Giovanni probably manages to find and beat up a couple of them in the chaos.

Bliss Ocean catches wind of the crowns and immediately has at least one at their disposal because what do you expect, Bliss Ocean is freaking overpowered

Poor Percy is just trying very hard to prevent every unassuming civilian and their grandmother from suddenly attaining godlike powers, please help her. Also the criminal from the museUM HAS ONE OH MY WORD

If Ramsey isn't in prison he's either been conscripted to help Percy find these crowns and prevent her from dying of exhaustion (and I guess magical artefacts in the hands of dangerous criminals)

Not to mention Sylvie probably studying these mysterious new artefacts and what epithet could've possibly created them, and probably being really pissed that Giovanni of all people got his hands on one

I honestly think Indus' devotion to Mera would be enough to power a crown if Mera had one. I mean canonically they're in prison but just imagine

Oh man imagine Rick getting a crown

Aw YEAH imagine FEENIE getting a crown

Honestly imagine any of the Neo Trio getting a crown, their characters and personalities are SO good for this prompt

Also, you did say 'resurfacing', so there's potential for an AU taking place in a completely different version of the EE universe based off the Cult of the Lamb forest! I'll have to think about that sometime.
