Vampire Academy is already getting slammed in reviews and I suspect it's largely due to the diversity of the cast.

Its pretty fun so far but they have made MASSIVE changes that I'm not sure enhance the plot or help a new viewer acclimatise to the mythology. Also that character is not Dimitri! Hes said more words in the first 22 minutes than the first novel. There is some chemistry though so we'll see, but given that most book lovers were drawn in by their relationship I can see the show suffering by essentially putting a different person in there and slapping Dimitris name on him

I've seen people complaining about Christian's characterization on the show, how he is not as snarky as he is the books and staff but like...Christian's rarely in the focus for the majority of the show and most of his scenes are usually pretty heavy with... but when the focus shifts and he is more in the center and Christian gets more screen time, not just with Lissa but with the others too, like in 1x08 the snark suddenly makes an appearance! Christian is not ooc, but the pacing of the show is just so messed up that it doesn't give the characters any room to breathe!

Welcome to Klonnie! I'm glad to open you up to Bonnie outside of her being the magical negro trope. On to your question, you can't find footage of what doesn't exist. There have been rumors for years that Ian, Nina or Paul saved Kat's job. The answer is none of them did. According to Julie Plague, it was Kat who convinced her to keep Bonnie. The only reason these rumors persist is because are searching for a reason to make them white saviors. We're supposed to believe Paul, Ian and Nina stood up for Kat when her biggest opposition was Julie, their boss. They and Candice continue to have a relationship with Julie. Candice on-going and continuously positive relationship with Julie plays A LOT into Caroline’s treatment and favoritism in the fandom. Here Candice’s jokes about how easy it was for Julie to accommodate her during her pregnancy. Where was this accommodation for Kat in various situations.

It is unfortunate that anyone could receive death threats for a role they’re playing. Respect to Daniel Gillies for defending his costars from continuous hatred which to my knowledge feel free to correct me came from toxic KC stans. In Kat’s case it isn’t the same, no one defended her from the fans who’ve disliked her since day one because she wasn’t white. The hatred that Bonnie/Kat faces wasn’t just from the fans. The writers fed into it. Julie was often the leader fed of it too. Bamon fans were labeled rabid, Bonnie/her fans is insulted by Julie herself. Matt Davis even mocked Kat online. Julie claims she’s never liked Klaroline shippers yet continued to service them since 2010.

The cast of tvd are not heroes. Michael Malarkey even denied that Kat was being mistreated. Who is he to speak on a black woman's experience? If they actually believed Kat was wronged, why do they continue to engage with and work with Julie Plec? We all know Julie is a gross racist. She even made Megan Thee Stallion's shooting about herself. She hasn't learned because we see the same racist tropes she used against Bonnie in Vampire Academy. She's a terrible person and Kat was essentially on her own dealing with it, since her co-stars were too busy cozying up to their racist showrunner to get ahead.

In conclusion Kat saved herself. The end. She survived even after she was constantly sidelined and still for 6 years paid the lowest of them all. Kat did it by herself.

I’m just not that crazy about the triplets, but if you’re a triplet stan, you’ll be sure to have a blast with this one!

Translator’s note: This CD has been mentioned so many times to me as the elusive ‘Shuu works as a cashier’ CD and finally I got the chance to translate it! Up till now, only a short sample clip was circling the internet, but one of my wonderful followers purchased the CD and shared the audio with me. uwu Even though this CD doesn’t have a lot of my favorite (aside from Shuu), I still enjoyed it a lot! It was so much fun to imagine the absolute chaos breaking loose as these 5 Vampires try to run a convenience store.

ーー NOW FOR THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM. Am I tripping or does Azusa sound totally different in this track??? His voice sounds a lot softer? Or like more high-pitched??? Azusa stans back me up here.

idk if everyone knows yet but i was doing orders at work today and saw that penguin teen australia are definitely releasing a tv tie-in cover for vampire academy (due out sept. 16 to coincide with the show) so i assume they’ll become available globally as well ???

it does have an ugly “now a stan series” sticker printed on it unfortunately :(

#they’re also releasing the books going forward w stan labels printed on the cover from what i can tell 😭😭😭#IF YOU WANT STAN-FREE BOOKS @ AUSTRALIANS BUY THEM NOW 😭#our latest returns list has va on it and i assume they’ll send back the ‘stickered’ copies rip #not that the covers were great but #ANYWAY KEEN FOR THE TIE-IN #I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR WEEEEEEEEKS AND FINALLY IT POPPED UP ON MY AVAILABLE PRE-ORDERS TODAY #UNFORTUNATELY MY STORE WILL NOT BE GETTING STOCK ON FRIDAY WHEN IT’S SUPPOSED TO BE RELEASED #BUT WE USUALLY GET NEW RELEASES TUESDAYS ANYWAY #THE COVER IS JUST THE SHOW POSTER BUT #I LOVE IT ANYWAY #vampire academy

I'm gonna post what the Umbrella Academy characters favorite MCR songs are

Luther- Summertime because he doesn't necessarily like the rock portion of MCR so he likes the more soft songs

Diego- Desolation Row because for one he's a badass bitch who doesn't care and two the song probably reminds him of Lila

Allison- Disenchanted because she's and actress, she loves the crowd despite how much pain it brings her. She feels like nobody understands her and she really resonates with that song.

Klaus- Ghost of You, basically because of what I said in my last post. It reminds him of Dave

Number 5- Kill all your Friends, because he feels alone alot and you can tell. The song also hits his trauma really hard with a lot of the lyrics

Brella Ben- This is how I dissappear, I mean come on just listen to it, of course it's his favorite song

Sparrow Ben- To the End "he's never around he's always looking at men" We all know Sparrow Ben is a little fruity just admit it.

Viktor- Mama, because he's a little trans boy

Sloan- The Jetset Life is Gonna Kill you, I think definitely because it's her favorite book and her trauma of Luther almost dying.

Marcus- Save yourself, I'll hold them Back, guys come on he's the leader and he obviously cares about them.

Fei- S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W because she is a literally so cool. This song is so passive aggressive: just like her.

Alphonso- Headfirst for Halos because he seems all sweet and innocent honestly but he he's not, guys he's really not.

Jayme- Early Sunsets Over Monroeville because she seems all badass and shit, but she's actually just sad. Like she seems to be the only one truly affected by Reggie.

Christopher- Cubicles but only because the name is funny and reminds him of himself.

Pogo- the Interlude from the Revenge album, I'm not sure why but it just felt right

Robot Mom- BulletProof Heart because even though she was a robot she actually loved the kids and would do anything for them.

Lila- Vampire Money because she would get such a laugh out if it. And she would probably peg Diego to it.

Stan- Destroya because he's a child and would think Gerards moaning would be funny.

Harlan- The light behind you eyes, it reminds him of his mom who cared for him, and Viktor whom saved when he almost died.

Delores- The only hope for me is you, I'm saying this because Five is actually a big old softie and he played this song for her. And just told people it was her favorite song

Reginald- would despise MCR and call them satanic or something
