How am I doing? ‘how am I doing?’!?
Ned Fulmer severing ties with the Try Guys is my Zayn leaving 1D is how I’m doing!
I am sad! And i am tempted to overstep the bounds of parasocial dynamics because I am an empathetic and also nosy bitch!

The largest birrin settlement in the Valley of Two-Sky River. Passive cooling towers rise above the low domes of the town, taking in the ocean breeze.
The valleyfolk are heading towards the town square, anxious to see some mysterious newcomers...

Yeah, so sorry for spamming with my word vomit about my different cohorts of Choices. This is the last post on it.
*and the crowd sighed with relief*
Anyways, here are more random thoughts on Gen 5 (under 18) from this post here. Let's see what I can crank out before pizza arrives and I zone out for the night.
—Alright, I know this has to have bugged somebody, so let’s get this out of the way. Why is Maru only 17-18 in Choices? Two reasons: 1) Maru has always read as the youngest of the bachelors/bachelorettes in Stardew Valley to me, particularly with the way both Demetrius and Dr. Harvey treat her, and 2) at the beginning of Choices, there would be no valleyfolk between the ages of 13-17. Ariah and Oliver are both 15-16, but I have the Amethynes on a world tour, and Oliver doesn’t move to the valley until winter.
—This brings me to a side note: in the world of Choices, the bus is treated more like a charter than regular public transit. The valley contracts with Pam to drive the kids to school and back, and others can book her to take groups to special events. However, the summer before the fic begins, the bus breaks down, and no one has both the funds and the desire to fix it. Maru ends up doing her final year via virtual learning, as it allows her more time to do side projects/work at the clinic.
More under the cut:
—I put Trinnie and Keahi into that awkward preteen phase. Just enough older than Ellie/Jas/Vinny to be starting to deal with crushes.
—Eloise is actually closer to Trinnie and Keahi in age, but she prefers hanging out with Jas and Vincent.
—Yuuma is the youngest in Choices, but due to his need to take care of Shiro, often acts even older than Trinnie or Keahi.
—Lavril doesn’t appear in Choices, but I have her on the list anyways. Regardless of her actual age, the way she acts and is perceived is as a young girl, probably 6-7 years old.
—Why are there no babies? Mostly, it’s because Gen 3 is neglecting to procreate due to… *gestures towards the world at large* Were Tristan and Mona still around, we’d probably have at least one younger sibling for Jas. Also, due to the sorry state of Stardew Valley’s infrastructure and school system, I think families with young children who might have moved there to serve as a doctor, open a store/business, pursue graduate work, etc. instead look elsewhere. The only people willing to move into the valley and take on those jobs are ones who only really have themselves to worry about, hence why people like Harvey, Elliott, Leah, Philip, Aideen, or Flor move to the valley.
—Why haven’t I assigned ages to those kiddos or a rough dozen other characters from East Scarp or Castle Village? Mostly because I haven’t had a need to consider it just yet.
Now to go gorge myself on pizza and finally sleep for a bit.

This series is written as excerpts from Dawntreader's Guidebook, a novel written by the trezlin/drakling Tavra Fangrender under a pseudonym to avoid persecution by her own kind. The second entry is on her own people, the trezlin. Paper textures are from textures.com. Transcript Though I have written in Gren, I cannot assume that all who obtain this guidebook are Gren. It's unlikely to speak the tongue without hearing of my people, but who knows what may happen in the future. Records of these sorts may be valuable, so I shall document regardless.
While we have many words for ourselves, I'll choose the most scientific: we are draklings. It's more accurate to prefix us with 'forest' or 'nature' draklings, compared to those of the sea or desert, although few of us would ever bother to specify. We arescaled upright beings, like all draklings, and sport short horns and protective scutes on our cheekbones and backs. Every individual is different, but most males are of taller stature than females and are heavier built. We are collectively shades of green with different striping patterns based on differing regions of family origin.  Using the Verdant Valley, the homeland of my people, as a point of reference: Southwesterners, such as myself, have forked and mottled striping patterns, even those beyond Vandell. Most valleyfolk and northerners come with more defined stripes. Southward, in and beyond the Scarwood, live those with spots. In-between dale and Scarwood live a folk with a mixture between the former two of broken spots and stripes. Those of the most notable nations are known as the Gren, a strong-willed, prolific, and powerful people. They have spread across much of the Verdant Valley, forming multiple distinct nations and governing bodies. Namely, these are Vandell, Suwehb, Jamgadir, Thirpof, and Manhomir. Our realms are perhaps only matched by the most clever of dragons and draklings, as I've not yet discovered a people more advanced than our own in all aspects of a society, except perhaps the wind kingdoms of the mountains. Our culture is vast and will vary greatly in detail, but in all nations, it is the nobles who lead. Although they hail from long family lines of high standing, knowing how to handle a spear and order men in war is what makes them nobles above all. Commoners take up the menial tasks that keep society running. Thanks largely to our religion emphasizing unity among Gren, peace is mostly had across the realms and violence rarely exceeds raids of greed or vengeance. Trade is common in our society, with goods produced in different regions transported and exchanged for those in others. Uniting all of the Gren is the belief that we are born of Yggorum, a deity that made us in his image to fight against the corruption in this world that is the bloodthirsty dragons. Those of us that show prowess with our innate nature magics are thought blessed and often become 'druids' under Yggorum's guidance. Due to these beliefs, dragonslayers are the most revered of all walks of life, followed by druids. Taking a dragon's life is the ultimate goal as Gren - an opinion I do not follow.

The Hozier Collection: Work Song
Born.
It was just me and my father growin’ up. Each day he’d saw the trees as I did my best to carry the logs. Didn’t make us much selling firewood to the valley, but it made us enough. The valley didn’t like us hillfolks, claimin’ us like animals. But the animals seem to live pretty well so I didn’t mind much. No I didn’t mind the valleyfolk, couldn’t after I met her. I’d always see her following her momma ‘round town, her dress all dirty. Her mother didn’t like me, but that didn’t matter, just her.
Growin’.
By the time I was gettin’ tall, we was real close. Every time I was in town I’d go to her first. Wasn’t nothin’ sweeter than her in the whole valley. We was in love, simple as that. She talked of us runnin’ away to the big city. I never could tell her I didn’t wanna leave the hills, her smile was just too strong.
Grown.
Then we got grown, we had to make choices. She was ready for us to leave, I wasn’t. Not proud of it, but I turned to the bottle. Hoped it would make goin’ easier, cause boy I loved her enough. Enough to leave it all behind. But luckily for me, she loved me even more to stay.
Aged.
So we stayed. And then we got old, our time passed. Couldn’t chop trees much anymore, so she did her best to sell stuff in the valley, not that it worked that well. Food got scarce, not that it mattered much to me. My time was up, I could feel it. The sickness came and it swept me. I didn’t want to leave her, honest I didn’t, I took too much. Too much time, too much food. I had to leave this world, but I refused to leave her.
Death.
I was laid to rest, but that didn’t hold me down. She cried and cried for an answer, and I gave it. I called home to her. I called for her love. And love I got.
Two souls lay at rest, together in life, together in death.

Was thinking recently that Jackie def has a point when she was talking about Weaponized Incompetence and said that S does it too sometimes.
More so in a cute way. He will sometimes act helpless and frustrated knowing that C will just take over and do it for him.
I know many men that do this and it mainly makes them feel taken care of. As long as they only do it occasionally and not in important things, it's not at all a toxic trait to have.
He does it more with C than anyone, and C gives off that vibe probably because she has younger brothers and is used to taking over and showing them. She's said before that the only time this was a bad trait is when she lived w a bunch of male roommates for her first LA apartment because they took advantage of her nurturing side. That's absolutely not the vibe I get when s does it though, Jackie would probably agree but she wasn't wrong is my point.
Some clear examples are:
Obv all the makeup videos and the guys trying on acrilic nails videos
All the arts videos where he keeps saying he sucks at drawing so she'll complement his drawings and tell him they're v good
the beopardy live / aita twitch stream, when he can't get the iPad password right: https://youtu.be/nQ97dheqJoY
ESPECIALLY, and probably one of the times Jackie was referring to when she said that about him. The Ring-Fit/Wario Ware twitch stream (the smoothie incident): https://youtu.be/37wPvm5tIUw
After the smoothie spill he stays unmoving and she wipes everything off, to the point where she's shoving the napkins in his hand and guiding it to his face so he'll wipe it lmaooo and that's when you hear Jackie telling her to "just let him do it" several times. And then continuously wants her to use the tide-to-go pen on his jeans instead of doing it himself.
There are many other examples, it makes sense according to their birth orders in their families. C is good with younger brothers type men and S is the youngest in his family.
Damn, that was a long one. Thanks for your insight anon!
When Jackie talked about Weaponized Incompetence? I can't remember.
Your observation and example is very spot on. I do see S doing it multiple time and C always helping him. Probably related to birth order like you said.
As a straight man, I also concurred with your statement. If my partner love to help and sometimes my self-esteem is quite low. Having them help hyping me up or taking care of is probably the best way of making me feel loved and supported.
There's also more example too like Movie Movie Games on both occasion.
First time C is frustrated that she's having brain fog. S helped hyping her up:
youtube
Second time S is very frustrated since he played this game before on The Valleyfolk channel and he got a bunch of very hard one. So C help comforting him and hyping him up. The moment is on part 1.

This entry is dated "October???"
The Zarani say that the Trevarian Valley fell out of line with Azeroth's seasonal cycle when it was separated from the rest of world; it will apparently be Winter soon, but the nature of the valley rarely shifts regardless of the calendar.
They've given us a map to help us on our way to Trevaria Village and, for the few nights of hospitality they've offered us, I can't help but be thankful.
I wanted to scream my lungs out, so many times. I even tried to apologize for encouraging us here.
Kisera assured me that this was a group commitment, but still. I don't want my fascination with this place to get anyone killed.
We're going to go to the village and meet more of the local valleyfolk, make some friends, and then consider the invitation that our "hostess" has offered us.
Jorge, the bard, is asking to accompany us when we travel Eastwards. He has a sister in Trevaria Village that helps run an inn.
Fuck, I hope they have baths.
