A conceptual piece featuring the Junkyard Planet in the WIP; the Empire uses this one planet to dump all the derelict ships, starfighters, etc…but that doesn’t mean people don’t eke out a living on there too…

5, 18, 19, 26!
5. If you could make only one of your OCs popular/known, who would it be?
Probably Ariadne?? She's got a really fun sense of style, and I love drawing all her outfits and hairdos. She's also the sort of heroine that I like seeing that doesn't compromise her femininity while also being a leader, and we need more of that tbh 😌
18. Any OC crackships?
The Demagogue and Xi. Let's just say it's a good thing that there's a couple hundred years separating their stories, otherwise they'd get together and burn the galaxy down 8'D
19. Introduce an OC that means a lot to you (and explain why)
Lon started out as a very VERY side character in the WIP before I started to get to know him more, and entwined his story and goals with the main cast; he's more of a main character now because of that. He's pretty important to me since he's one of my most relatable characters--at least for myself!--who struggles with feelings of inadequacy and helplessness that can make him spiral if he doesn’t talk it out with people who care about him...which is true for me too :')
Tumblr media
26. Have you ever had to change your OC’s design or something else about them against your will?
Probably Taran/Tau, at least when I was redesigning the old character I was basing him off of! He was looking too much like a Corvan sibling at first, so I had to change his hair color from dark to copper. I was on the fence at first, but it's grown on me since! (initial design below, before I took the volume away from his hair too and nixed the scar LOL)

About The Author
And so, like a phoenix, I am reborn! Thoughts on the new colors y'all? But, onto the topic! I don't think I've gotten any better at this since last time, so I'll just go over the key notes:
Writing + Reading
Fantasy, from the high to the low and all of the stuff in between!
Contemporary fantasy, supernatural fiction, and urban fantasy are just great.
Anything Sci-Fi. Seriously. From the more energetic and hopeful daring explorations to the cosmic horror and soul-shaking solitude of the abyss, all of it is damn brilliant. Especially love me some science in my science fiction!
Sharing ideas! Talk about people’s WIPs, characters, and just hearing from all these brilliant and creative people! It’s just such a human experience to hear the excitement in someone voice or writing when they share things about something they put so much work and time and love into, y’know?
WORLDBUILDING. There’s just something about a world that’s well thought out with little details, or just unique, and vibrant, and creative that makes me happy, and, per what I said above? Hearing about people’s worlds is the BEST.
Mortally gray characters, Queer characters, Morally gray queer characters.
As for just general stuff:
Oversized anything, hoodies, sweaters, blankets, all of it is so cozy! Fireplaces, in snowed-in cabins in the woods are my jam.
Tea. (Currently love me some milky oolong.)
Drawing! I mainly do traditional art, pen and paper, been thinking about making a sideblog for it all...
D&D is just wild. If you write and haven’t ever played you’re missing out. If you just haven’t played in general, you’re missing out!
All pronouns are fine, lost me gender in Ye Olde Gender War, back in '69. Hovering in the general vicinity of being a bi/pan guy, so those also fit if you want.
Pretty much married to @agrimedena-drax 🖤✨
Lovely to meet y'all, new and old, and welcome to Writeblr!

WIP Questions Tag
I wasn't actually tagged by anyone, but @owlsandwich opened it up to everybody so I'm giving this a try! Open tag, but also no pressure tags to @somethingclevermahogony , @queen-of-the-weenies and @sarandipitywrites !
We're gonna do my main current WIP, God-Touched, and also a couple I've tabled for a bit due to stress, which are called Gods of Steel, and Nico after the name of the MC, respectively. I copy pasted the questions and I may have missed one or two.
What has been your biggest struggle with your wip?
God-Touched: This is more of an overall writing struggle for me, but underwriting/being too concise. I tend to make unnecessary time skips when outlining and not add enough descriptive passages.
Gods of Steel: The world building. I usually enjoy complex world building, but I may have bitten off more than I can chew with this project. I'm taking it slow and building one aspect of it at a time as I'm motivated to do the necessary research, so fingers crossed that works out.
Nico: This one's kinda stupid, but keeping myself from imagining my protagonist as Nico di Angelo. She's completely different in appearance, mannerisms, etc, but I'm a rabid PJO fan and that was my first association with the name.
If your story was a TV show, what would the theme song/intro be?
God-Touched: Definitely something by Imagine Dragons, probably Natural.
Gods of Steel: Probably some kind of epic orchestral thing, I haven't found a specific track yet.
Nico: Song Of Women by the HU and Lzzy Hale. Going purely off of sound and vibes.
What other pieces of media do you think would share a fan base for your story?
God-Touched: Supernatural, Firefly, the King Arthur reincarnated as a space lesbian book (Once and Future) and the book Spellhacker by MK England.
Gods of Steel: This is gonna sound really presumptuous, but I'm trying to make it similar to Dune and the Na'vi Avatar movies.
Nico: Honestly, Tamora Pierce, even though my story is more sci-fi than fantasy. Also slightly the Divergent movie (haven't read the book in years), in that the MC slowly realizes just how much of a dystopia she's actually living in, even though she started out compliant.
What was the first part of your wip that you created?
God-Touched: The general concept of Christian mythology put into a queer science fantasy context.
Gods of Steel: The setting, (humanity's original non-Earth home), and some of its history.
Nico: The idea for the relationship arc between the two main characters. It was the first time I'd ever wanted to write romance, and it was an interesting challenge to come up with how that would play out.
Are there any animals in your story? Talk about them!
God-Touched: This is a major spoiler, but the main gang ends up adopting an iridescent rainbow baby space dragon. She looks majestic, but is actually a huge derpy goof. She's heavily based on Banana, my little sister's big ginger cat who is not exactly the sharpest crayon in the box
Gods of Steel: The main villains on this story are cyborgs, but some are cyborg animals rather than people. They started out as normal robots, but then got this virus that made them grow flesh, skin and other organic parts, but many of the animal-like ones still have working blades or guns as part of their bodies that they use when hunting humans for food.
Nico: The fauna of the setting for this one is very ice age influenced, the main character has a war mammoth that she's raised from a calf to be her mount and companion.
What part of your wip are you working on rn?
God-Touched: First draft of the first two books, if all goes well it's gonna be a five book series.
Gods of Steel: World Building.
Nico: In my first stage of outlining.
How do your characters get around? (ex: trains, horses, cars, dragons, etc.)
God-Touched: spaceships and hover bikes
Gods of Steel: spaceships, then on foot after all their tech gets infected by the cyborgs.
Nico: Mammoth-back riding.
What are your hopes for your wip?
This is the same for all of them so I'll just do one answer: A devoted fandom that uses my books as inspiration to create their own awesome content. Fanart, fanfic, animatics, those character analysis YouTube videos, anything like that.

WRITEBLR INTRO :D
Tumblr media
hello! my name is scottie! i am a 20 yr. old nb college student trying to write a fantasy series (among other minor projects!), looking for active writers to be mutuals and interact with (bonus if ur open to beta reading! or want a beta reader!) :D ask/tag open! i love talking to people, so don't be afraid to say hi :)
my current focus is coming-of-age queer fantasy, but i also focus on dystopian themes, horror, romance, and a sprinkle of futuristic sci-fi
Tumblr media
CURRENT WIPS!
mya laine and the world of wonder (main)
magic school coming-of-age that turns into a dystopia. and there are lesbians EVERYWHERE. basically. it covers ten years of this girl's life where she's
dehisce
(of a pod or seed vessel, or a cut or wound) gape or burst open.
also lesbians! contains time shenanigans and dragons. set in a world sort of exactly like the Modern Pre-Crown World in fionna and cake. i reference this because my main lady penny is a silly little history buff and decides to go on this expedition to find more information on a lost goddess, and ends up getting entangled with time. after a long, emotional trek that goes wrong more times than it goes right. penny somehow manages to get sent thousands of years in the future when the world has been ravaged by magic and godly power. and then she meets a girl who has a dragon and a dude that does everything she says, and more shit happens!
untitled crime story (now: unorthodox methods!)
i will not stop calling it untitled crime story!!! but i had to come up with a silly and catchy title because i chose this as a premise for the feature film script i'm writing for class. but untitled crime story i'll remember you
you guessed it.... lesbians.............. but they're exes with sooo much unspoken beef and they go off-grid together anyways so neither of them get put in prison ??? it's in a world where magic is normal and a bit frowned upon, now getting out of have because there's a global shortage of the one drug that suppresses magical powers. and this girl's ex calls her one night! the fun ex---she's supposed to be fun!! but she sounds super terrified and serious and chaos ensues! lesbians running from magical authorities and having to face their very long, very loud shared history.
finally edited it! this post just doubles as my wip masterpost :) i do not feel like doing a whole new post i am just here to have fun
ok <3 thats kinda it. thank you for reading!

Hello world!
My name is Cam (he/him), and I’m brand new to the whole tumblr thing!
I figure the best way to join an online community is with an introduction, so here we are! Please don’t hesitate to reach out or interact! I’d love to make some new friends!!!
Okay, so who are you?
I’m glad you asked! My pen name, which I’m going to use for this blog, is Cam Scott
I’m 24, recently jumping back into writing after a whole slew of life stuff, and am looking to start grad school here in the next year or two!
Some of my interests include: comics, movies, folklore and folk music, philosophy, pro wrestling (the greatest form of theatre), and video games!
What do you write?
All kinds of stuff! Fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, westerns, even a comic or graphic novel from time to time. If only I could draw…
The only things you won’t catch me really writing are romances. Nothing against em, per se, but that’s not really my niche. A subplot? Sure! But not really my vibe for a complete work.
I also don’t really do fanfic, but again, no hate if you do! I think it’s cool to read people play around in those spaces; I just have to get all these voice- er, stories… out of my head.
Do you have any WIPs?
Too many! But I’ll try to list some of the main ones! (And keep it short)
The Silver Circle: The first in a fantasy series, it follows a group of adventurers making their way through a war-torn continent to help a cast-out prince reclaim his throne.
The Clockwork Lounge: A neon noir/cyberpunk-esque sci-fi story in which a man is hired to solve a murder in a casino run entirely by automatons.
Untitled Mystery (as in I came up with this yesterday lol): a man bounces back and forth between three bodies in three different time periods: the sailing age, the jazz age, and the far future in order to solve three murders that are somehow all connected.
If any of this sounds like anything you like, please don’t hesitate to follow! I’m also down for any tag games, asks, DMs, etc! I’d love to make new friends and really get involved with the community.

Hello hello, welcome to my blog. You can call me Frost. I use he/it pronouns, and I’m in my mid 20s. This blog is for sharing my writing, brainstorming, collecting stuff that reminds me of my oc’s, and interacting with other writers/sharing their writing. I also talk about my personal life from time to time.
I'm open to ask games and tag games, but I also have a Very bad memory, so it may take me a while to remember to respond to them.
Genre-wise i like writing sci-fi, paranormal, horror, and romance, just to name a few. Topic-wise i like to write about ghosts, curses, memory loss, dream within a dream type scenarios, time loops, and unethical science experiments.
Projects:
WIPs -
Scorpion Grass: A poll-lead choose your own adventure about an amnesiac who travels between two settings to try to solve the mystery of how he lost his memory, as well as the other mysteries dropped at his feet. You can read it here.
An Unshakable Shadow: The story of Vi, a flighty con artist whose gambling habit gets her into trouble, and Raven, a taciturn assassin whose latest job gets Vi out of trouble. Vi doesn’t stay out of trouble for long, though, and this time Raven will be along for the ride.
A Viscous Curse (Potion Tester): Unable to die permanently, Simon was taken by a lich as the “perfect test subject”. after centuries of experiments, one finally goes wrong in a way that allows Simon to escape. Now he must make sense of the world that’s changed so much in his absence with the help of a young half-elf named Trilline. You can read it here or join the tag list here.
Short Stories -
Untitled: The story of a private investigator who doesn't believe in ghosts.
A Night at the Fall Fair: Pumpkins are acquired, drinks are drunk, costumes are covered in hay, and everyone has a good time.
Untitled: The story of an exorcist out of her depth.
The girl dressed in blood: The story of a person who will do anything to be remembered.

Winter Reading/Arting/Writing Tag
Thanks so much for the tag, @ink-bunny-blue! (X)
Describe one creative WIP project you plan on working on over winter
I always “plan on” working on a thousand things and then do none of them 😭 because I haven’t been in so much a “creative slump” as I’ve been in an iron gripped chokehold by hyperfixation for the last year, so on one hand I’ve been unable to focus on any of my original writing because it’s not about The Interest™️, and then on the other hand I haven’t even been able to write anything about The Interest™️ because the fixation on it is so strong, everything I write for it has to be Perfect™️ (and nothing’s ever perfect, you know). On that note, if my ability to write returns from the war and I ever get a day off from this purgatory of a job, I really really really want to work on this comparative essay about The Interest™️ involving analyzing parallels to a certain classic play, and looking into various aspects of the tragicomic structure and themes of identity and change. Also, God willing, I’d love to get one fic done, just one, please please please, I have a few winter-y or Christmas-y ones I’m dying to get my brain to sign off on despite my lack of free time, come on, brain, yip yip.
Art, same thing, something Christmas-y for The Interest™️, also I gotta finish some zine pieces.
As for original writing, would love to work on my untitled WIP about an astrobiologist and team of other assorted scientists brought in by a somewhat questionable facility to study an extraterrestrial artefact and being affected strangely by it, but it’s a bit up in the air plot wise. Would love to answer asks about it though if anyone is interested 😭
Recommend a book
Definitely mentioned it before but:
Legion: The Many Lives of Stephen Leeds by Brandon Sanderson
“Stephen Leeds is perfectly sane. It's his hallucinations who are mad.”
This is like speculative fiction/thriller/mystery that’s hard to explain, but perfect balance of humour and sincerity, sci-fi and reality, and character and plot, probably my favourite standalone novel ever (well it’s really 3 novellas that somewhat connect and come together to form a novel, but either way).
Survive the Night by Riley Sager
Charlie Jordan is being driven across the country by a serial killer. Maybe.
This is a thriller book set in the 90s that as its title suggests, takes place over the course of one night, where a troubled, film-obsessed college girl (and unreliable narrator) who recently witnessed her friend’s murder (but can’t recall the killer’s face) decides to travel back home via a ride share where her driver may or may not be said killer, and has to, you guessed it, survive the night.
Now, this is actually one of Sager’s lowest ranked and seemingly most universally hated novels, whereas it’s the only one of his I actually thoroughly enjoyed/didn’t find mediocre and thought had a sense of style as I like the almost cinematic way it was written?? It was fast paced, it was fun, it had unique prose, and I think it perfectly captured the vibes of a cheesy 90s B-movie (said as a compliment).
Recommend a fic
I still cannot recommend From Out the Ocean Risen by Bluestar enough, it acts as a sequel fic to the movie Pacific Rim, and has some of the most gorgeously well executed cinematic prose and imagery I’ve ever read, not to mention impeccable character dialogue, and an incredible grasp on the balance between drama/angst/action/heart/humour.
What’s a Little B&E Between Friends by VoiceOfNurse is also a fantastic Pacific Rim series with a solid grasp on both character dynamics/POV and style. A fascinating, very humanizing character study, both angsty and fun.
Recommend Music
I’ve suddenly never heard a song in my life.
The Killing Moon by Echo & The Bunnymen is stuck in my head again, so, *tosses that at you*
She Sells Sanctuary by The Cult also in my head so *throws that also*
Also, even though I haven’t actively listened to them in a while, I’m still still actually super excited for Green Day’s new album, so *one more toss*
Dilemma
The American Dream is Killing Me

Well I Need Exterior Pressure To Be Motivated For More Than A Day So I'm Taking This Public!
These are ALL of my WIPS, including several I forgot existed!
Assuming some of the people who follow me actually want to read things I write, I'm making you do the labor of figuring out what to work on. What will happen is that At the End of March, I will publish a MINIMUM of ONE (1) chapter for the work that wins this vote on the fabulous fiction-hosting website ArchiveOfOurOwn because I don't have an account anywhere else.
I will try to do as much as I can, so you might get more than just one chapter, but we'll see where it goes!
I will reblog this at least ONCE (1s) per day all week long to make sure it gets seen by as many people as possible.
If you don't wanna see it... Too bad.

Writeblr Intro
Hello, nice to meet everyone, I’m rubywrite! I decided to fully re-edit my writeblr intro.
A Little About Me:
I just recently turned 22 and I’m in college to get a masters degree in English. I’m planning on becoming a published author in the future.
Likes: I like reading, writing, swimming and hiking. I love all animals.
About My Writing:
Most of the things I’ll be writing will be sfw, but I will also be writing darker horror stories, I will label them nsfw or 18+.
The genres I will mainly be writing in are fantasy, sci-fi, horror and mystery. (I don’t know, is paranormal it’s own genre?)
I have a lot of WIPs now, they’ll be in the linked section below if anyone wants to check them out. The main WIP is “The Mirror Effect” it’s a fantasy/supernatural series I’m working on.
I also am working on:
“Only Imaginary” which is a supernatural story (I’m not sure about it being a series yet.)
“Into The Stars” is a fantasy series.
“You’re Being Hunted” is a horror series, this will be 18+.
“It Started With a Fire” (working on title) is a supernatural story.
“Spruce Hollow” is a detective mystery/supernatural story.
“How Jack Met Phoebe” is a romance story about the MCs of “The Mirror Effect” parents love story.
“Christmas Love Story” is a romance story. I don’t normally like reading or writing romance books but I started writing this almost two years ago, wanting to write a cheesy love story, and I recently found it again and fell in love with the characters in it. I was planning on writing it more during the holiday season this year.
I also have 15 untitled stories I’m planning on hopefully getting to asap.

This was just an excuse to draw Shaw in one of the mech suits in a full scene LOL technically, he’d be wearing a helmet, but let’s pretend it got knocked off or something ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Imma be takin a lil break from posting here for a bit, but you can catch me over on Artfol! I typically post a lot of stuff there I don't toss onto IG and tumblr anyways

um uhh shaw 24
24: How would your OC react if they got humiliated by someone in a group of people?
He’ll try to joke about it so that it doesn’t seem like it bothers him too much while dying inside LOL I actually had a scenario for this I’ve been tossing around of the girls locking Shaw out of their quarters first thing in the morning as a prank:

2024
What do I expect of this year? What do I want to write?
For starters, I decided to give up on two WIPs that I will likely not write, at least not soon. The Ribbon was supposed to be a companion piece to Ananke (both could be around 40k stories, so together they'd make the length of a whole novel), but since Ananke has been shortened, The Ribbon is not necessary. And on its own it doesn't have enough pull for me to finish it.
Untitled Sentira project is... well, the name itself is enough to tell you my feelings about it. I still think the worldbuilding for this story, or rather the one that existed before, is spectacular. I'm not giving up on the Sentira world, but maybe I'll do something completely different with it? The novel idea, the characters I tried to design for it, the plot -- they just didn't really click, so. This particular story will not happen, at least not in the form of a novel.
Hmm... I should update my pinned post... Later.
Now, what will I write?
I'm changing the ending of Ananke. The second half, ten chapters, require a lot of changes and I want to do it, like, now. First half of January, then mabe final re-read right away, or maybe some pro editor? IDEK. Or a re-read in February. And then I want to send it to three sci-fi magazines and see if they bite.
I started to edit The Specters, but now that I'm back at work I don't think I'll be able to work on two things simultanously, so I'm putting it on the backburner until I'm done with Ananke, and then I'll probably continue second draft until the end of February.
I've been having feels about Crystal Spring Valley lately -- it means I miss Priya and Tenney and the gang. I might take March and April to look at this story and maybe get through that Turning Point finally. I don't hope to finish it, but, as usual, make as much progress as I can.
May could be a good moment to work on the spreadsheet and maybe even pre-draft of The Duke and the B Brothers -- so that I could tackle the first draft during NaNoWriMo. Ha! Yes.
Then I should return to Black Wings and its second draft for June and July (or perhaps even longer), and that would more-or-less conclude my current WIPs.
August, September and October would remain "to be decided". I also have Mars Idea in very early stages of development, so I might give it a month here or there. And then do some more work on either on the most advanced WIPs, meaning Crystal Spring, Specters or Black Wings.
November would be the first draft of The Duke, of course, and then December... Maybe rest after NaNo, lol, or finish The Duke, because 50k will likely not be enough.
So that's that. That's the plan. :)

Twenty Questions for Fic Writers!
Thanks for tagging me @prosopopeya 😊
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
112 (also 112 unanswered asks in my inbox, oops lol)
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
1,998,134
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Dragon Age, Mass Effect, SPN/Destiel, Baldur's Gate 3
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Kiss the Baker (9,346)
Satin and Sawdust (8,306)
Cursed Or Not (7,797)
No Words (7,754)
Addicted To You (6,079)
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I try to! In order to conserve spoons for it, I only answer comments on my long/chaptered fics, and don't answer them on my short one-shots. Which makes me feel guilty sometimes, but setting up an exception is the only way I can manage my social anxiety about it.
6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
No Such Thing As Ghosts
This is a one-shot that I always answer comments on because if someone takes the time to read a MCD fic, they deserve extra gratitude, and probably milk and cookies and a box of tissues.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I write romances or smutfics, they all have happy endings lol
Probably the sweetest thing I've ever written is Where The Heart Lives which was for an October writing challenge a few years ago.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
It's happened, though it's rare. There was a troll that targeted me on FFnet like 10 years ago who was so over the top with their hatred that it was actually funny. Every once in a while I'll get a comment that irritates me, but it's not really hateful stuff, just something I disagree with.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yeah, original sci-fi alien smut was a thing for me when I was a teenager. For fanfic, I loooove writing smut. Some of my short fics are just smut. My favorite kind of smut involves being in a shower or a bathtub. It might just be masturbation, or full on sexual escapades, but there's water involved.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I don't like crossovers, so no. I have a lot of ideas for fusions, but I haven't written any. I tried to do a Pacific Rim/Mass Effect fusion, but I only ever got 1 chapter, and it's the only fic I've deleted from AO3.
For reference, I consider a crossover something that includes characters from both universes in a story together, and a fusion is a story where characters from one universe live in the other universe, but there's no meeting of characters from both. Like, Dean is a Templar who knows Knight Captain Cullen in Dragon Age, vs what if Dean is the Knight Captain instead of Cullen.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I'm aware of *knocks on wood*
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes, a few. One of them isn't on AO3 and I lost the link, which I'm sad about. But now I only give permission if it's going to be posted on AO3, so they show up under my name.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Not exactly, but @jupiterjames and I have worked so closely together that it's almost co-writing. @bendingsignpost wrote a prequel to a shortfic I wrote tho... does that count? That probably counts. Here's the series:
Bookshelf Boys by bendingsignpost, Ltleflrt
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
They all feel equal in my heart, but I've written the most for Destiel, so they're probably a tiiiiny bit more important to me lol
15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
I'm starting to think I'm never going to finish anything ever again lol
My current posted WIPs are
Reaching Out (Dragon Age)
Shameless (SPN/Destiel)
I desperately want to finish them, but my brain is very NOPE about it. There's also the Untitled Haunted House AU I've been talking about for years now, but I've never posted any of it.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Capturing character voice in dialogue. Also shower/bathtub smut 😁
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Descriptions. Of anything. People, places, emotions. I feel like I suck at all descriptions.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I like to do it, but I definitely have to get help since I'm hopelessly monolingual. And I like when other authors do it too.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Dragon Age, specifically DA2. It's what got me into reading fanfic in the first place, and eventually sparked the urge to write.
20. Favorite fic you've written?
This answer changes every time someone asks me the question lol... today's favorite is Peace because it's the most recent thing I've worked on and there are 2 people commenting on it, and I'm having a good time with it.

Hey everyone! I'm Serena - you can call me Ser - and my pronouns are she/her. This is the writeblr for @murderousewpecspredator! I'll mostly be reblogging writing resources, advice, inspiration etc. here. I'll also be posting my original fics and art, plus updates and snippets (and occasional screaming) as I work on my wips, so be on the lookout for that!
My works tend to include:
➼ high fantasy (occasionally dabbling in urban fantasy, dystopia or sci-fi) ➼ traumatized teenagers forming found families ➼ characters all flavors of queer + male-female friendships and queerplatonic relationships!! ➼ sad backstories ➼ hurt/comfort. SO much hurt/comfort. but also eventual happy endings where the characters get to live peacefully :) ➼ at least one character who is stubbornly kind in the face of a cruel world ➼ and hope!!! I love hope
Find me on: ao3 | wattpad
I'm looking for more writing mutuals so feel free to reply if you share similar writing genres/interests, and I'll give you a follow!

In a world where monsters live in the woods - creatures with the ability to shift forms and wield magic - humans and Beasts have been fighting for centuries. One summer morning, Crys Averwell finds a crow-boy in the forest who has had his wings brutally hacked off.
Unfortunately, saving him from bleeding out is the easy part - because hiding the existence of a Beast from Crys's village, and finding a way for said Beast to get home?
That's going to be another story entirely.
𝒪𝓇,
My current wip!! High fantasy series with found families, banter™ and protags who aren't the heroes or the chosen ones but are just really, really unlucky. Also contains,
large casts
the Sarcastic Withdrawn one + the Ray of Sunshine Extroverted one
a Journey
undead creatures
cool magic with runes and potions and spells and Artifacts
Forests. and Mountains. and More Forests
discrimination, eventual rebellion, blowing stuff up

It's the start of a new school year, and Sakoto Misami's brother has disappeared. Another runaway, people whisper - but Sami knows her brother isn't like that, knows that Irumi would never abandon them.
So when police fail to track him down, she decides to investigate on her own. And the things she finds begin to make her wonder - had she never known her brother after all?
Her questions are promptly answered when, that Friday night, on a deserted train platform, the lights flicker, and something inhuman comes out of the tunnel. Straight for her.
Enter the Swords.
𝒪𝓇,
The half-defined urban fantasy wip I take out to blow dust off of occasionally, because I cannot juggle for the life of me. I do write snippets sometimes though, and I'll properly get into it sometime in the future. Includes,
Cool Swords
spirit companions
a Weird Magic System involving Threads and Needles and Weaving and Fabric. I swear it makes sense I just haven't figured it out yet
subways!!! alleyways!!! parkours and night views and leaping from rooftop to rooftop!!!
traumatized teens, again, and found family, again. But also actual family
qprs!!! heck yeah I love qprs
Yeah that's pretty much it. I have a handful of other ideas I may mention once in a blue moon, but they're sitting on the backburner for now since I'm only able to focus on one project at a time. I also dabble in fanfic, and might occasionally post a short story or a poem, but that's all gotten to be pretty rare.
I'll make proper pages in a while, but until then feel free to poke around in the main tags! The gen tags are #beast and #corrupted, while official tags are #wip: beast and #wip: corrupted (though the last one is largely empty).
See you around!
