Went to the library to finish looking for some information on buildings and then left to go home since I had to meet my cousin later in the evening and had to get ready. Finished doing the printables for my thesis homework
Greenpeace activists raise a giant banner of a crying Palestinian child on the wall of the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid, with the phrases “Can you hear us?” and “Ceasefire now” written on it.
april | first week of the semester done. this semester, i decided to take spanish 🎉 it’s been good so far. pretty similar to my first language which has been very helpful. so happy to see the sun shining this week as well, we’ve been having cloudy, and i am over that. but here’s to more learning and more of the sun shining ☀️
I took a day for myself. I arranged for a day off work and went to the bookstore and picked up some goodies to read and write. I had a pumpkin chai tea latte with oat milk and a pumpkin stack (so much sugar!). I am going to read and watch films today and try not to do anything academic. Tomorrow I plan to go to the salon to change up my hair and grab some new makeup. I may have ordered a Remington Quiet Riter typewriter after watching one of R. C. Waldun’s videos on YouTube. Self-care is so crucial during your academic studies. It’s so easy to become consumed in assignments, social life, work, and still not make time for yourself. I am grateful I took today off to spoil myself and to choose rest. It’s helped me feel alive again.

In college, or university whatever you want to call it, why do professors get tenured? Is it just the length of time they work there? And once they are tenured, are there regular check ins? Are there regular reviews of a professors tenure? I don’t know a lot about it but someone convince me why tenure is a good or bad thing.
Started the day going with my mum and grandpa to the beach (the alfajor was not good unfortunately) and then spent the afternoon working on my homework while listening to a lecture. Overall great day ngl

Hello friends! How is everyone? Have you had a good week? I’m working in some late assignments and feeling the weight a bit. This week was a bit chaotic but still productive. I moved into my new place and still trying to set up my study area. It’s pretty much how I’ve had it previously at my other place. I like that I have a small window that lets in some wonderful breezes throughout the day and I can hear the bird songs in the morning and evening. I have two more weeks for this term and then a week holiday in which plan to read and job search. I quit my full time job last week and my last day is the 20th of May. This decision was very much needed as it was a very toxic workplace. Your mental and physical health are always important and a priority, never forget that! I hope all is well! I must get back to my studies.
