The Forest Guardian would be the most respectful, so to speak. He can tell right away when you're overwhelmed, and will help you get to a safe place, or stay by your side until you feel calmer.

Halloran would make sure that you were at a safe place too, but would run off to distract the crowd so that everyone's attention is on him, and give you a chance to walk by without anyone looking at you.

Rune makes sure to stay by your side as well, knowing that his intimidating appearance would be enough to keep people from looking at either of you. However, if he notices that someone if overwhelming you, he wouldn't hesitate to fight them or scare them away.

this book is so insanely good, the art is just phenomenal and it has gripped me so hard since starting reading it.... i love the way i relate to the main character even though we are separated by age and time and i love this view into the 1960s life. not done yet but ive been blasting thru it all day. mwah 👌 i love you monsters i love you weirdos and freaks i love you artists and i love everyone yay

This time he wakes up in a white room with a big tank. Inside the tank, Eddie is looking at him with his big eyes with no lids. “Are you ok?” he asks, getting closer. Ok. The boy replies with his vibrations. “I thought… I thought they were going to kill you.”  Eddie shakes his head. He gets up and gets closer to the tank. It looks like a big aquarium, there are some fake plants on the ground and even what looks like a little pirate treasure. It’s the first time that Steve can see Eddie properly in his true form. His eel’s tale is drawing little waves on the sand while it moves. It’s dark green with some yellow dots.

Oh gosh!!! Well it is very important to the story that they are very much not a monster BUT if they were I think they would probably be a little Cupid <3 which I know isn’t really a “monster” but neither are angels or aliens or robots (technically) and I have those in my setting so who care <33 kinda like a succubus who feeds off emotional intimacy and vulnerability but also fucks like crazy because that’s just the kinda guy he is <3 he’s supposedddd to be making other people fall in love but he gets horny and lonely easily and instead gets crushes and falls in love way too fast w every other interesting stranger he meets so </3 though he would probably not use his Cupid powers to make people like him, he just happens to be naturally charming in the silly guy way that they are but I think a part of him would always be scared that people only like him cause of some Cupid magic he can’t explain and not for who he is :,-( and even though he knows he is playing some natural role in the universe by helping people fall in love he very much feels that love should still be about choice and putting in the work and choosing kindness and love and yes it’s easy but it’s also worth fighting for and giving it your 110% ykno!! but ya!!! not very scary in the traditional sense but I think it’s what would make sense for him as a character <33

monsters are soooooo relatable... i am both monsterfucker & monsterfucked (shunned for being the former)... rip to people who do not understand the beauty of monsters. it is so sad. really. devastating
