he stumbles into the room , ribs aching & bruises & scratches littering his body , blood staining the side of his uniform where the nasty gash lays . he searches for the first aid kit , the energy draining with every step he took , then he hears winter’s concerned voice .

losing the last of his strength , he collapses in a nearby chair & groans . “ nasty fight with a bandit . they’re long gone , but they made sure i didn’t leave unscathed . ” he explains , trying to focus on building his aura back up to speed up the healing process . “ i’ll be okay . ” he promises .

she's just going to plop down on the couch beside him and rest her head on his lap. it's been a long day at work and she just wants this peace and quiet with him. (from winter!)

          there are times--perhaps more than he’d like to admit--when he would tease her for something like this, but he’s learned a lot when it comes to deciding whether winter needs a little playful banter or just his silent presence. the instances where they don’t say any words to each other often speak louder than any conversation they’ve ever had, anyway, and the corvid is not feeling particularly talkative himself.

          the suddenness of her question catches the ace hound off guard, icy hues blinking curiously a couple of times as he turns to look at her. she quickly backtracks and marrow parts his lips in a soft laugh, waving his hands dismissively with a shake of his head. “no, no, it’s okay,” he reassures her, “i guess i just didn’t expect you to be curious about it, but i know it seems kinda weird for someone like me to be in the military.”

          one hand comes to his chin as the other arm folds to support his elbow, a pensive look on his face as he contemplates where exactly to start. “well, for starters, i didn’t want to join the ace ops. it just kind of fell into my lap,” canine explains, and quickly goes on to elaborate, “i originally applied to join special operatives just because i wanted to prove to myself that i could make it, even when so many people had told me otherwise throughout my entire education. i was rejected, and that stung, but a couple months later clover and the general approached me personally and told me that i’d been hand-picked to join the ace ops--we’re, like, the best of the special operatives, so that felt... really good. i didn’t even think about saying no.”

hi i have an a.rknights verse with one of my muses over @umbraze & i’m working on one for another few muses.

It was a shaky agreement that allowed him into Beacon. A sit in on classes, able to spar with students with extreme precautions, stuff like that. Not fitting in anywhere, just an odd end. It was a hard time adjusting for him. Sensing so many faces one stood out to him. A Faunus in disguise one who could out him for certain ties. He was scared to outwardly approach her, yet. He could assume she wasn’t by any means oblivious to his presence but both seemed to be biding their time before they had to approach.

One sleepless night after a rain had come and went, Obi left the building going outside. Not knowing he had a shadow behind him as he went to a small river nearby. Breathing in the fresh watery air and exhaling he went to his next steps. His Hoodie went off and a white tank top was all that was left. Displaying the beginnings of a series of nasty ugly scares, going from the base of his spine, blooming out to his shoulders and thighs. A blue shimmer went around him as he slowly pulled a long stream from the river and moved it around him.

Almost as if a dance going around him the way he could guide the water before he iced it into several small needles and sent them around himself in form. Nearly hitting his shadow, though not realizing she was there. He sighed as he sat back down, rubbing the back of his head before sensing outward. Finally realizing he had a tail on him this whole time.

“You might as well come out, I ain’t gonna hurt ya.” He stated, though the series of ice needles in a 360 degree dome might put that off a bit. “If you felt the need to follow me I’m sure you have some kinda questions for me, so let’s talk.”
