Fireweed Grouse Collar 🐚🌌
I made this collar/stole for my high school graduation this year; the two main symbols on it, the grouse and the fireweed, are two important beings to my clan I’m particular. The formline shapes and stitching is a little bit rough in some places as this was the first time I ever made something like this, but I am still very proud of how it turned out, and even prouder that I got to wear it during my graduation ceremony.
The collar is made from felt, ultrasuede, and abalone shell buttons, and took approximately two-three months to make.

Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has to Travel. oh, to sit at a dinner party listening to Mrs. Vreeland hold forth for eighty-six minutes straight!!!
McQueen, which I saw in theaters! the scale of the artistry is on another level entirely. completely changed what I expect from fashion. tragically, no one did it like McQueen, so I am more often than not disappointed.
Dior and I, which is a fantastic look into the inner workings of a huge fashion house as the new artistic director creates his first collection for Dior from start to finish
Halston (NOT Ultrasuede, which is a different and worse film) about the first truly internationally renowned American fashion designer
Westwood: Punk, Icon, Activist about Vivienne Westwood, who is absolutely one of a kind, and will make you want to spray paint the word FUCK on your worst t-shirt and wear it down the street
The September Issue is illuminating, though less about fashion and more about the magazine business
Phantom Thread, which is not a documentary but deserves to be on this list as one of the best fashion films of all time
still on my to watch list: Quant (Mary Quant), Suited (the evolution of gender in fashion), Advanced Style (style icons over the age of 62), Yellow is Forbidden (Guo Pei), Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf’s (the iconic department store)

2024 Toyota GR86 Trueno Edition Performance
The 2024 Toyota GR86 TRUENO Edition comes with an upgraded performance package – that comes in both manual and automatic transmissions. You’ll be able to add this performance package to your 2023/2022 Toyota GR86, so don’t worry if you’re not able to get your hands on this particular N Charlotte Toyota. Let’s get into it.
There will be ZF SACHS Dampers and Brembo brakes that come standard on all models.
These features will enhance the consistency of handling, ride comfort, and brake system.
Automatic and, now, manual transmission models are equipped with Active Safety Suite. The system has features like Pre-Collision Braking and Adaptive Cruise Control.
Plus, this Toyota is super light at 2,811 pounds with the aluminum hood, front fenders, and roof panel – making it one of the lightest sports cars on the market.
The naturally aspirated 2.4-liter FA-24 engine has 228 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque. This makes this N Charlotte Toyota go from 0-60 in just 6.1 seconds for the 6-speed manual transmission and 6.6 seconds for the six-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission.

As mentioned earlier, this N Charlotte Toyota sportscar is an homage to the Toyota AE86, which is very popular in the anime and manga community because of the anime ‘Initial D’. If you don’t know – although you should – Initial D is about a character named Takumi Fujiwara and his rise to being a downhill racing hero in his Toyota AE86. Since the anime is so well known, the Toyota AE86 has been coined the ‘initial D car’. Now, let’s get into what the modern initial D car will look like when you first take a look:
To start with a bang, it will come with a number plate that marks the 2024 Toyota GR86 TRUENO Edition.
It comes with a black-wrapped hood, black TRUENO Edition side panels, and a black duckbill spoiler.
As a tribute to the 1980s model, this N Charlotte Toyota sports car will have a ‘TRUENO Edition’ badge on the front bumper lip and rear decklid.
Also, other accents this ride will have are black metallic 18-inch, 10-spoke aluminum alloy wheels with black door handles and mirror caps.
This is what you’ll step into:
Ultrasuede sport seats that are trimmed with red leather, a red-stitched shift boot, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
‘TRUENO Edition’ shift knob and all-weather floor mats.

When those who knew Halston in his heyday heard that McGregor was cast, they raised their manicured eyebrows. They could not picture the rough-and-tumble man-boy who likes to ride motorcycles and wield lightsabers as the grander-than-thou designer, whipping up tie-dye caftans, buttering up society matrons with a buffet of Ultrasuede wrap dresses, dispatching a plane from Manhattan to Montauk for his seafood lunch.
But when they watched screeners, they felt as though they were actually watching Halston. “That Scottish man pulled it off,” says André Leon Talley, the author of The Chiffon Trenches.

Who's Halston you been talking about?
Roy Halston Frowick ( known mononymously as Halston, was an American fashion designer who rose to international fame in the 1970s
His minimalist, clean designs, often made of cashmere or ultrasuede, were a new phenomenon in the mid-1970s discotheques and redefined American fashion. Halston was known for creating a relaxed urban lifestyle for American women.
He was frequently photographed at Studio 54 with his close friends Liza Minnelli, Bianca Jagger, Joe Eula, and Andy Warhol.
In the early 1950s, while attending the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Halston began a business designing and making women's hats. He garnered a well-known clientele and opened a store on Chicago's Magnificent Mile in 1957.
He later became the head milliner for high-end New York City department store Bergdorf Goodman. His fame rose when he designed the pillbox hat Jacqueline Kennedy wore to the inauguration of her husband, President John F. Kennedy, in 1961. In the late 1960s, Halston made the transition to women's clothing, opening a boutique on Madison Avenue in New York and started a ready-to-wear line. There's a documentary made by Netflix about him back in 2021

I had a dream about a book that was both a Roddy McDowall and Halston biography with lots of pictures because I love coffee table books
But try as I might I could not find any Roddy McDowall anecdotes where he and Halston met up.
Roddy knew everyone, they were both Elizabeth Taylor’s best friend, it’s not like it’s out of the realm of possibility.

Meet the @danielarsham Porsche NEBULA 928. Drawing inspiration from Y2K aesthetics, this reimagined 1978 928 will be on display for the first time at the Porsche X space at @SXSW. The front and rear bumpers were redesigned with the help of vehicle designer @the_kyza, while the metallic exterior paint colours and complementary interior purple tones pay homage to the early '00s. Roy Halston Frowick:
Halston was one of the most popular American designers in the 20s, known for his ubiquitous designs in the 70s and 80s. He was popular for using ultrasuede which he used as his signature material. Reflecting on his career a year before his death in 1990, Halston said his work was “an experiment” that was “revolutionary in its day.”
What I love about his designs is the movement/ the flow of the garments. As simple as they may look, I love that they all looks elegant. I’m definitely trying out something with the inspiration I got his designs.
