jure: those icy candies that grandmas always have, but you can never find in any store (idk if it's a universal experience everywhere, but it is in poland, especially for people my age). he's a sunshine, but specifically he reminds me of the sun that gets reflected in the snow

nace: caramel taffy, but specifically the chewy type that cements your mouth shut when you try to eat it. in polish we have a really fun word for it: mordoklejka, which means something like mug-gluer (mug as in face). he seems warm and sweet, to the point that sometimes you can't escape it, so i think it fits him

kris: makarena. those are sugared jellies in the shape of citrus fruit slices. they are delicious, but they make your mouth hurt after a while. this is mostly how i feel about kris, i adore him and always want more, but it always turns out i needed to pace myself

bojan: fizzy candy. it's sweet and exciting, and makes you feel alive, but too much and your belly starts to hurt. i'm obviously a bojan girly (gn), but sometimes i feel bad after a big big day of bojan content

i'd say "gray inspired me to pick otome games back up so i could read spade alice (the new one he's in)" but that feels like cheating LOL. i also technically did my first gunpla shortly before ren Appeared to me... so while i've gotten MORE into it thanks to ren (and the thought of us doing them together), i also don't really count that. ren did get me hardcore back into art tho... like he's my oc so if i'm not making shit for him NOBODY is kjNKJSDFNKJNF. and he's making me focus a bit more on clothes than i normally would in my art AND irl (i want to look soooo cute for him~). and even though i haven't started YET, i do EVENTUALLY want to do mycology research for funsies. i know Enough about my own mycotoxin ailments, but anything beyond that is just like. what mushrooms used to grow outside my family's previous house and how RANCID they smelled lmao. i feel like learning more would get me closer to him, and i can see it as him infodumping to me! like that one post about leaf-cutter ants and fungus farms was WILD... i want to learn more shit like that!!!!

14. did you find out anything new and surprising about yourself through selfshipping this year?

honestly, i think ren has helped me explore so many parts of myself that i don't know how to list it all. dude's like... 10% stuff from the original dream, 30% original stuff, 60% stuff taken directly or remixed from my life. ;;;; the 30-40% that isn't me is KEY and clearly makes him very different and his own person, but also... love to dump traumas on OCs to work through them~~~ (as a Kinda Funny Thing, i think i hyperfixated on Just Some Guy ren as much as i did Villain Doc ren.... i think i've gone from "nobody will be as interesting as a cool fictional character" to "just give me a cute retail worker who's real niceys to me, i want to give it a try" OKJSNFKJN) i've also found out i have the capacity for WAAAAAY MORE social interaction than i thought possible. i've been isolated since 2016, becoming progressively more socially anxious, and one of my 2023 goals was just to go from "regular chatter in one twitch stream" to "regular chatter in multiple twitch streams", which would have been a huge change in itself... and yet here i am just chatting it up w people daily!!!!! it's nuts!!!! i still obvs have bad days... plus i still can't really do one-on-one dms or chat apps like discord kJNDKJFNSKDJFN i'm gonna need Actual For Real Therapy to be comfy doing that again KJSNKFJNKJDFNS... but i've met so many fucking cool people since making this blog, and i love chatting in tags and replies and asks like these!! i even made the first "move" in multiple cases! it's a small thing... but to me, it's huge. and it's improved my mood SO much (sans this month yeehaw but that isn't selfshipping's fault lol). all this to say HIEEEEEE if you're reading this you're rad af and ilu hehehe

Hey, just read your response about an ask regarding the infidelity AU. I was one of the people who wanted to see all 3 POVs - not for the smut, though. I mean, I love Kanthony smut as much as the next person but I was mostly intrigued to see how two people who value duty above all else and usually claim to have a moral high ground in most situations fight with their feelings and how they lose their fight. I'm only speaking for myself, but I have seen this sentiment reflected in most readers, the reason I read fanfiction is because I couldn't get enough of Kate and Anthony on the show, they had the kind of explosive chemistry I've rarely seen before and there were so many elements of the show that I wanted to change and I found that a lot of fic writers agreed and wrote amazing fics doing just that. Sorry, I digress - the point being, in most fics, I'm majorly interested in Kate or Anthony's POV. They're the characters I'm interested in reading about. Their journeys are what I get invested in. I know Tom and the Bridgersibs are great, and I love it when they're used to further the plot. But I haven't been able to bring myself to read any story that doesn't focus on Kanthony and only read other ship stories to support writers whose work I admire. I don't lie in bed thinking about how those characters would react in a specific situation in that particular AU but I sometimes write thesis in my head about how, say, King Anthony would react when Kate has to give up her acting career, or how All's well Anthony would do something, or how LDB Anthony looks like as a committed boyfriend. Anthony, in particular, is such a complicated and fascinatingly flawed character who follows his own rules and code of conduct that I was interested to see how he would deal with finding his soul mate who is already in a committed relationship. I know the fic was a character study and it's focus was Tom but I just kept thinking about Kanthony the whole time and I think it speaks to your ability as a writer that I was doing that and feeling conflicted about wanting a HEA. I apologize if it made you feel skittish. That was not my intention, I just have bad brain rot with these two. Tysm for sharing your work, I appreciate the time and effort you put into it :) and sorry for this longass essay lol

Like just because I have an idea of what happened doesn’t mean everyone has arrived to those conclusions too and there’s other background that the reader couldn’t know about, so I’ll prioritize finishing it, and hopefully it’ll provide some clarity for everyone :)

he probably has a little nickname for you (and he'll play it off, but whenever you call him 'pretty boy' or something he just melts). he's pretty cheeky so the teasing might get a bit out of hand sometimes. i think he'd be so so interested in talking politics and philosophy with you!! i like to think that tristan's actually really academically smart (and lowkey a ravenclaw like you but chilton screams ravenclaw so maybe im projecting here), he just doesn't use his potential. but i think you could give him a little nudge in the right direction- the art gallery dates and the fact that he's constantly looking over your shoulder at your books helps.

tristan loves making out. like i cannot express enough how much he adores it. so the physical touch love language plays out really well- i think he struggles a bit more with quality time cause he uses a sort of mischevious persona some of the time to hide his genuine qualities. but you'd probably develop some banter, you'd ask him questions and he'd answer (whether he's a good liar or not is up to you), and thats how you'd grow close. he'd also carry your poetry books everywhere and he'd be really sad if your moon phases didnt fit together (like the tiktok trend lmao).

also just the entirety of gilmore girls is so autumn so right away, assuming you lived in stars hollow, tristan would pretend to hate all the autumn events but he'd secretly love them (he probably got lots of attention from ms patty).

Like every couple of weeks I contemplate going back to this wishverse au I wrote where buffy and angel survive the battle against the master and proceed to have a deeply fucked up relationship and ruin each others' lives. It was vaguely inspired by the silt verses and the wolf 359 minisode variations on a theme. It was kind of about aromanticism. It was mildly unhinged. And it will probably never be finished because I couldn't figure out a good direction to take it in. Pour one out.

16. What are your writing strengths? Imagery!! People always tell me my imagery is super vivid and memorable and you know what? They're right! I think I have a knack for coming up with imagery and metaphors and motifs and weaving them throughout my writing. Doesn't hurt that I edit my fics like they're academic essays so even if they're not interesting they at least always have strong throughlines

17. What are your writing weaknesses? hmmmm I feel like pacing is something I struggle with. Also while I think my imagery and metaphors are strong I also have a really hard time figuring out how like, subtle to make them? Like I just Do Not have an intuitive sense of what's too heavy-handed or what's too oblique, so I feel like it can end up leaning a bit on the obvious side. it's something I'm working on!

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? It's not something I've ever really thought about, to be honest! Probably not something I'd do myself, but that's really just because I'd be likely to mess it up lol

so, i’ve been having this dilemma for a while and i really wanted the advice of someone who can be astrologically aware of people, to say so.

now, my question as the dang paranoid virgo sun (+moon) and leo rising that i am is — how the heck do you tell if a gemini rising is attached to you? what makes them get attached? the man can be so elusive sometimes that he gives me headaches. i’m a blunt person, i always make it clear what page i’m on with ppl. him, on the other hand, doesn’t. even though he’s blunt too, just not about emotions, i guess.

also, is that stereotype about gemini rising men getting bored fast af and throwing people away really a thing? i don’t like stereotypes tbh, and that’s why i’m still trying to figure this one out because i’ve never gotten close to a gemini rising before. interacted with them, yeah, i have. briefly and from a distance. but i’ve never gotten the chance to get on a deeper level with them.

I think the first thing you need to do is to be more friendly with him. talk to him about his interests and, if you don't know them, ask him and show that you care. communication is key, so take that into account. I feel that he will like to have some superficial talk first and if he wants to get to know you better, he's going to have deeper conversations with you. don't judge his interests nor his feelings, cause if you do he'll decide to keep some distance from you. be patient as well, cause if he's a mix of scorpio, sag and gemini it can take some time to get closer to him

Pastels, Peaches, and Pain is one of those sambucky wips i have mostly fully fleshed out in my head because of one (1) extreme moment of clarity after a rogue ‘what if’ tangent thought but havent written anything of yet out of restraint / knowing i need to finish at least one of my current sambucky wips before i start it or none of them will get done

this was the rogue tangent thought: “what if Sam is haunted by Figaro’s ghost and has been since he was a kid?”. i’ve changed the ghost cat to not be Figaro but that’s the premise !

i refer to the fic as the cat fic ‘cause the whole plot is based around sam’s ghost cat companion insisting he adopts nat’s cat Liho after endgame and then Figaro later and then [insert redacted because plot spoilers but just know it relates to Alpine]. no im not projecting my feelings about cats idk what youre talking about 

here’s some note snippets just for you:

the cat, inexplicably, takes a liking to bucky, which is really annoying bc sam doesnt know how to explain to him that all the oddly soft gusts of wind are actually sam's dead cat insisting on getting pats

bucky getting shade thrown at him by said ghost cat during all of tfatws + them making up (and not out. yet)

starts when sam's a kid & follows him as he grows up w/ a ghost kitty as a companion only he can see & interact with + angst with an undertone of comedy + getting together

he whispers to ghost kitty, who simply mmrrs happily

for the among us first draft thing, what basically happened is i saw this tweet and this video and my brain latched onto these dynamics so hard i had to write about them.

There are innocents on this ship. Children. It was not something any of them had anticipated, and not something Cyan had been prepared to deal with. They and Black boarded this horrible place to eradicate a threat, believing each and single one of the humans were accomplishes and dedicated to the goal of destroying Cyan and Black's species, and their planet. But, now?

marvel meets warframe meets a bunch of tumblr posts... doesn’t have a wip title or seperate document for itself yet cause it’s been stuck in my ‘story ideas’ document since its creation. so ‘marvel meets warframe meets a bunch of tumblr posts’ is literally just me describing the vibe of an original world gjkerfkds

the world came to be for two reasons. firstly, i want to do make take on a superhero universe because the plot and complete lack of communication in both the dcu and mcu piss me the fuck off. secondly, needed a place to dump ocs with elaborate backstories or fantasy / sci-fi abilities that dont fit into any of my existing worlds

which sounds super competent but trust me, it isn’t. it didn’t gain any solidity at all until i decided to do a personal ‘how different can i make spn castiel look & still retain the same vibe?’ challenge. i have my own cas now

however, the reason i said ‘marvel meets...’ is because i’ve snagged a couple of different things from the mcu, most notably: enemies to reluctant coworkers to lovers, yes our best friend have the same name. no they’re not the same person, secret evil org is controlling the government, and the assassin that tried to kill you several times is now your best friend

warframe was added to the world because i got attached to my Volt build, gave them a name, and have some headcanons idk what to do with because i refuse to interact with that fandom. also because the friend i made through discussing warframe lore + plot dicked me over so it feels Bad to create for

the glue to this whole mess is that one “in every friend group there’s a mean bisexual, an even meaner lesbian, a she/they, a he/they, a himbo, an astrology bitch, a short king, and a token straight” tumblr post. my main group of superheroes ala the avengers consist of these people. the token straight is the only one i havent figured out who is yet

I saw your post that you’re taking a request for All of Us Are Dead characters and I was wondering if I could request a SuHyeok fluff (or suggestive?) where the reader knows about medical things (bc her mom is a doctor) and when she helped Hyeon Ju she said something about how cold Hyeon Ju was and how her pulse are low (things like that) then there’s SuHyeok looking at her with so much admiration and he tells her how impressed he was by her? “Please put your phones away students” the teacher said smiling at everyone. Everyone stood up on started to put their phones away.

Ms. Park went on and started to teach the class. Your eyes would occasionally travel to stare at Suhyeok. He was so pretty, his eyes glistening in the sunlight. His soft skilly hair flying slightly from the wind.

Catching your eyes he gave you soft smile which you returned blushing. Just as it was about get more interesting the class was interrupted by Hyeon Ju.

Something was different, she was covered up in blood. Ms.Park panicked and approached are quickly. Hyeon Ju collapsed abs fell on the floor.

“Suhyeok, y/n and On-jo come help!” Ms.Park yelled. All of them stood up on run to Hyeon Ju.

Y/n’s thought was to check her pulse. You held her hand and checked her pulse which was very slow. “Her pulse is very slow Ms.Park” you panically said. Suhyeok would be lying if he thought that wasn’t impressive.

“Her temperature is also very low” Y/n said putting her hand on Hyeon Ju’s forehead.

“He gave me injection” Hyeon Ju faintly said.

“Who did?” Ms.Park asked signaling Suhyeok to carry to her.

“The science teacher” she responded before she fainted.

They rushed her to the infirmary. The nurse told Suhyeok to lay her on the bed. As she gained consciousness she seemed more aggressive.

“She’s very cold and her pulse is very slow” Y/n said the nurse.

She nodded and told you, Suhyeok and On-jo to go back to class. Walking next to Suhyeok in a comfortable silence was the best thing ever.

“That was pretty impressive y/n! How do you know all this?” He asked furrowing his eyebrows.

Heat rushed up to your cheeks. “My mother is a doctor so I know little” you smiled.

“You’re also very pretty” he complemented.

Y/n chuckled “thank you, you’re also pretty”

“Pretty huh?” He laughed.

“Oh you know what I mean” she said rolling your eyes playfully.

I REALLY HOPE I CAN DO IT JUSTICE ,, i began my research into geisha/the history of geisha last week and have spent like. hours upon hours reading everything that i can. i know there are some fantasy elements in genshin impact so not everything needs to be 100% accurate, but i want to try and get it close. i think maiko darling's story will be an interesting one... it's going to be rough stopping myself from spoiling anything. the moment i get an idea i like a lot, i want to ramble about it. let's hope i can hold up.

This is from chapter one, i.e. our intro to Jo i.e. all that there is at this point BUT.

She couldn’t tell what this was, now, some kind of pacification or some kind of joke. Her editors expected her to run screaming, didn’t they? Back to the safety of the society beat and scrap metal drives and victory garden casseroles. It wasn’t like she’d ever fit in there anyway, with a name people squinted at if she spelled it right and no interest in a meal that didn’t include a cup of diner coffee beside it. It had changed a little at least, the past year, more clips about the WACs and the WAVES and women in the workforce, but there were still recipes, and debutantes, and advice columns telling girls everything they had to do to find and keep a man. Jo could laugh it off most days, especially since she had the privilege of knowing one of these columnists personally, but what could she say about some of her friends?

evangeline was born to the second wife of a rich man who already had two children prior. that should tell you what her life was planned to be ( hint : the same ). she wasn’t a son , and there were two others prioritized before her in terms of inheritance. MEANING: it would be very difficult to stand out. 

now , to understand evangeline , you must understand what kind of people the rowles are. or , at least who her mother was , and who her father had been at the time. see , during her youth , the rowles were famous for their fetes and their estate established itself as the place to be. they was nothing if not extravagant and their parties only reflected that.

after her mother died , though , without her to host , they lost their footing at the top of society. the house elves had her things packed away within a week and evangeline sat alone and watched as invisible strings tugged the jewel - toned dresses from their hangers and into ornate trunks that live in the attic. it was a simple end to an era. and while the rowles are still a celebrated family , they aren’t as affluent as they had been a decade prior.

but , eva has always wanted more than that. or atleast , has always wanted more than to see her mother’s legacy perish like that. the moment she left the hallowed halls of hogwarts , she launched herself into a campaign to elevate herself to the top of pureblood society. with her hufflepuff charm , under the tutelage of probably the Coolest Woman She Has Ever Met and a shiny new engagement ring from some she’s not so sure ... even likes her ... she plans to takeover pureblood society.

p e r s o n a l i t y

eva is extremely nosy and persistant. while her mother praised her curiousity , others begrudged her intrusive habits. eva doesn’t know what personal space is.

loyalty is celebrated in hufflepuffs , but eva can be clingy. her friends are near and dear to her , and when she’s around them , her tenacity is obvious.

if hogwarts hosted beauty pageants , eva would have miss congeniality in the bag. the pureblood is genial – friendly and cheerful. she is ever the hostess and you’ll never see her without a perfect smile.

evangeline is a true socialite. the rowles are nothing if not extravagant. nd she’s basically charlotte from princess and the frog c:

- 27: do i ever get “good morning/night” texts?I always get them from (and send them to) my boyfriend, Jo. It’s a hold habit that started when we first were dating and lived 7mins from each other, then it became routine and now, also considering that we live 80km apart, we try not to leave the other without a good morning/night text.Also if I’m talking to my friends in other time zones there will be a moment one of us goes to sleep so…

- 43: do you believe in magic?I used to be the biggest magic (and magic folklore/lore) nerd, but as i got older it got less interesting and now, as much as i still love folklore and myths and legends and stuff, i look at those more with an anthropological pov rather than a believer pov Really tho I wanted to have magic powers so bad up until I was like 10… it was a softer time(and please don’t feel offended if you’re a wiccan or believe in magic or stuff, i respect those who believe)
