November 9, 2022 - Sulphury Flycatcher (Tyrannopsis sulphurea) Found in northern and central South America, these tyrant flycatchers live in swamps and other forests, usually in areas with Moriche palms. Foraging alone, in pairs, or sometimes in small groups, they eat mostly insects, along with some fruit, capturing prey in short flights and plucking fruit while hovering. They build open cup-shaped nests from sticks in palms. Females probably lay clutches of two eggs.
