next question: what deleted scene is canon *to you*
mine: the one from the red and the black where scully tells him she couldn't have made it up & those memories are real and who is gonna stop it from happening again and mulder says "nothing else matters to me now"
Since today is the 30th anniversary of The X-Files pilot airing I ( @lets-steal-an-archive ) started a thread on Twitter of where many folks found their first X-Files scripts and a thread of some of the more interesting (set-used) scripts in my own personal collection.
Between the "Official" Fan Club and places like Script Shop at least one version of every episode of the original series (seasons 1-9) have been available since the show was airing.
You don't need to fill out a form to request one at a time, and you can download the files to read offline.
Here's ones I shared here before bringing the total to around 70 episodes of scripts ⤵️
I've found this in kind of a better quality but I believe it's been previously taken from an Instagram acc, because 1) It looks the same but the ending seems to have been cut out -Check the Insta post and you'll see what I mean- and 2) I see a blurred line where the watermark in the post on Insta is. Coincidence? I don't think so. Anyways, I'll leave the link here. I hope you guys enjoy it regardless.
It’s funny seeing all the continuity Polaroids of Gillian from The X Files because I’ve worked on a lot of Productions as an AD and know she was the crew favorite. I have stacks of silly Polaroids of different actors from my productions where we’re goofing around while taking a pic for make up continuity because it’s been a looooong day and everyone is a little punchy. For an actor to be a crew favorite they usually have to be able to fit in with the oddballs, have a good sense of humor about themselves, and respect the people working with them. Most actors usually only talk with each other, 1st unit, and will make polite conversation with make up/wardrobe as needed. I have nothing against that, I think David Duchovny might be a bit like that to work with, but from a crew point of view I get a kick out of the fact that Gillian was probably a lot of fun to work with back in the day.
inspired by a comment left by @wannaliveattheholidayinn on chapter 3 of shelter, that one bit in how i met your mother, and @pookie-mulder’s tags on this post
Every time I watch 3x21 “avatar” and the scene comes up where Scully and Mulder examine Carina Sayles’ (Amanda Tapping) body, i have to think of the story Amanda told at a convention once where she said that David Duchovny kept poking her in the side while she had to play dead and how she struggled to keep a straight face not only because of that but also because of being in the presence of these two by now renowned actors and not wanting to fuck up
Since some have asked when we'd be getting any more Supernatural scripts:
It's easier for me to find a script for the unproduced 7th ep of s10 of The X-Files (with bonus coffee stains from Chris Carter) than it is to find any Supernatural for sale and/or anyone willing to share a copy of a script.
No, really: the pledge form for that script is in our Discord server.
If we do buy it the original will be donated to the ScullyCoffee4NF fundraiser (February 2024).
