Response to comment I made earlier:
Malleus: Hello, Child of Man.
Yuu: Malleus, you used to come to Ramshackle a lot right?
Malleus: Right...?
Yuu: Did you ever notice a figure in the mirror?
Malleus: Your reflection...? I'm not quite catching on...
Yuu: No, the one with the big ears who calls himself, Mickey.
Malleus: *concerned* Child of Man... are you OK? Have you been hit with a spell...?

Ghost Camera: The Connection between Dreams & Reality
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I cannot stop thinking about how strange the Ghost Camera is as a concept, and the very little lore we get about it is so fascinating. It’s to the point I have several posts planned to talk about it haha! I’ve begun watching the EN translation of Book 7, and I completely forgot that Yuu was able to take a Ghost Camera photograph of Mickey. I have a feeling that this photograph will play a role later in the story, because Ortho begins to establish a connection with Mickey, the mirror, and different worlds.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We see Mickey through a mirror, which only happens when Mickey is asleep and dreaming. Ortho claims that the mirror in Ramshackle may be an accidental Viewglass, where you can communicate with a person from far distances. The reason why I think this it’s because the mirror seems to be connecting to a dream realm, NOT in Mickey’s reality. It technically is haha, because the style of his room is reminiscent of the classic Mickey cartoons. But it’s still his dream, so Mickey’s corporeal body is sleeping. We know this because Mickey quite literally begins to vanish when he wakes up in his own “real world.” The properties of the Ramshackle mirror are very special, but that’s for another day (*゚▽゚*)
Tumblr media
So if Yuu managed to get a photograph of Mickey with the Ghost Camera, which explicitly captures people’s souls as well, this means that Mickey’s soul is what travels to this dream realm as he sleeps.
Of course, this is all very wishy-washy haha, but it’s a basic foundation to the idea I want to elaborate on: The fact that the Ghost Camera could be the connector between not only worlds, but dreams and reality.
Tumblr media
Magic is definitely a bit unreliable when it comes to theory making, but it’s significant that Book 7 is heavily building up magic and lore revolving dreams, and Silver with a Unique Magic like “Meet in a Dream.” If the Ghost Camera can capture the soul of a being, whose from another realm, and is DREAMING, this could be huge! We don’t know the extent of the Ghost Camera’s powers, as there’s a lot about its history that Crowley is hiding from us. The Ghost Camera was around since before the age of video, but it seems like not many functioning Ghost Camera’s are left.
Tumblr media
Ortho remarks that the previous owner of such an old camera must have taken great care of it to be in such a good condition- the previous owner being Crowley. This is true, because if Crowley’s claims of the Ghost Camera being invented when Ace’s great great grandmother was a child, this camera is in a perfectly functional condition at LEAST for 100 years, if not far more, like 150 years. Considering how small the camera is, this is very impressive that all the mechanisms and lenses have been maintained for this long, and can still print pictures perfectly in full color. Of course, it’s enchanted with magic, but it’s notable the camera existed before video.
Crowley himself states that the camera is enchanted with special magic to make the soul photography possible- but isn’t it also possible that Crowley could’ve added another property to the camera? He’s so adamant about Yuu capturing everyone’s lives, to be left behind as “Memories: Fragments of Remembrance.” The students, their behaviors, building soulbonds/friendships, the school…everything has to be captured with this camera that HE gave himself. There has to be something that he’s planning with the souls captured by the Ghost Camera, which then must connection with how the school is destroyed in the endgame.
Tumblr media
The novel also brings up the idea that everything was an “illusion.” Of course, it could just be Yuuya lamenting on the tragedy and horror of the destruction of the school and potentially lives, but magic is also a thing, making this potentially literal. The Ghost Camera can replay events that happened in the photographs, with the people in the photographs taking a corporeal form outside the photo. These forms aren’t “real,” so they could count as an illusion.
I’m not sure where I’m going with this haha, I feel like I have all these pieces but I can’t articulate how they fit together. It’s hard to predict just what Crowley’s plans are, no matter how hard I try haha! But again, Crowley having possession of an item that can capture a person in their dreams…(Don’t make this about Meleanor and Crowley, don’t make this about Meleanor and Crowley-)
Hey what would happen if Meleanor was photographed with the Ghost Camera 🤪🤪🤪 Could she be brought to “life” through the photos 🤪🤪🤪
Jokes aside, I think the “soul,” “dreams and reality,” and “imagination” will become a key parts of Book 8, and I feel like through Book 6 and Book 7, TWST has been elaborating so much more about the extent of the power of dreams, and the properties of a soul and a heart. And with the set up for connection between worlds, the Ghost Camera could potentially have the ability to bring these characters and concepts into the world of Twisted Wonderland, or at least reconstruct the Twisted Wonderland boys and certain events, by playing out the events in the photographs over and over again.
Tumblr media
What’s even more interesting is that I recently made an analysis post, based on the theory that the Major Arcana tarot cards connect to each character via that countdown art.
Crowley’s tarot card, since his countdown number is “1,” is the Magician. Feel free to read that analysis post if you want more in depth analysis! But what’s interesting is how the Magician is explicitly designed to the connector between a world above, and world below. It’s most commonly seen as the “unification of the physical and spiritual worlds.” And isn’t this interesting if this tarot card theory is intentional? That Crowley, the man who speaks of imagination being the key to magic, who gave Yuu the Ghost Camera, who put Yuu in Ramshackle Dorm to live in…he and the Ghost Camera truly may be the connector to worlds and realities far beyond Twisted Wonderland. I will definitely be elaborating soon on the potential of this idea with Crowley 👀🐦‍⬛

This analysis of Meleanor's aesthetic and form being an inspiration to a lot of NRC's architecture and embellishments is so 💖💞💖💞❤️❤️💞💞‼️‼️‼️ Meleanor is going to overtake this god-forsaken school at last ‼️‼️‼️🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻✨✨✨ AS SHE SHOULD 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻💞
But all these references is just making me think that if this is intentional,,, then isn't Meleanor *alike* with Mickey with how they "appear" as an figurative icon in TWST/NRC's design?
Like, we know that 'Mickey's Shadow' appears in a vast amount of cards and bg images in-game, just like how this theory states that Meleanor's motifs resembles NRC's designs.
There's this masterlist of all the hidden Mickeys in-game (I personally think there's a lot more and we still haven't noticed because they're conveniently disguised lol)
I think this theory stands though, because Meleanor can be a parallel to Mickey's.
If she's actually the Dark Mirror (at least in essence), then both her and Mickey are "beings inside a mirror."
They can also be a good contrast to each other... Maleficent (or Meleanor in this case) being the frequent Leader of all Disney Villains and ofc how Mickey is always the hero in each Disney franchise.
Also both their locations have direct parallels to some of NRC's location.
Yuu's Ramshackle Room > The Room in Mickey's Dream
NRC Coliseum Backstage > Eastern Fortress of Briar Land
Diasomnia Hallway > Meleanor's Castle Hallway
In reference to my theory that Grim and Meleanor might be related to each other , I think its nice to mention how Mickey never appears in the presence of Grim (who might be related to Meleanor in some way).
Like Grim has to be far away or deeply asleep in order for Mickey to reflect in the mirror. And, the farther Grim goes away from Yuu, the more vivid Mickey's mirror gets.
Which makes me think that 'condition' occurs because Grim is related to Meleanor/the Dark Mirror. And ofc, Mickey "can't be reflected" because there's already a Magic Mirror here, the Dark Mirror with Meleanor(which can be related to Grim) encased inside it.
Tldr: Meleanor and Mickey are parallels of each other because of their reoccurring "presence" in NRC's design.
Tbh, them being parallels is so funny though... Does this mean Mickey will have to fight against Meleanor?? lol 😂 There is this whole undertone of Heroes vs Villains in TWST's narrative...
Mickey's "presence'' is more prevalent because his silhouette appears in locations outside of NRC which can be a nod at the fact that Heroes (like RSA) are stronger than Villains like Meleanor whose silhouettes only appear in NRC.

100% a stretch but im in an Epic Mickey mood so im saying it anyway!
The most prominent colours of ramshackle (not including brown) seem to be Green and Blue. These colours are especially noticeable when Ramshackle is fixed/being fixed.
In Epic Mickey the colours Green and Blue are fairly important as they represent Paint and Thinner which is the main mechanic in the game (fighting blot and solving puzzles)
this is once again a stretch but I thought it was kinda neat the dorm housing Mickey Mouse himself has these colours.

Overwritten Perspective—TWST theory.
Tumblr media
Okay yall, I know this might sound crazy but yall have to hear me out.
If I didn't mention that I wholeheartedly believe TWST as a World/Realm has some form of sentience I'm mentioning it now because it adds to this crazy ass theory.
TWST as a realm DOES have some form of sentience but it only comes into play when Foreign Bodies are added to it, which is Yuu.
While I want to say that the Ghosts are also foreign bodies in some form its moreso like they pass thru a gateway that confirms their existence when high Magical concentration is on a field. Which is why there are so many ghosts at NRC.
But for Yuu, I have an argument to make on their behalf.
That TWST is consistently overwriting their memories.
Why?
Because Yuu's memories don't line up with the sequence of events that have happened in TWST. Because for TWST as a World/Realm the events of Scar, Grimhilde, Maleficent, and Hades were REAL.
While for Yuu, it was mere fiction, a story told on the big screen.
Which is why I'll add that Yuu CAN'T remember their dreams other than faint vestiges and a passing comment. The world is ACTIVELY stopping them from remembering key things because that's not how TWST perceives the Great Seven.
Like translating a language.
To put it into perspective, if you were to put Zeus and Hades into TWST they'd be overwritten to fit the scope of the world.
He'd just be on of the ppl that placed that curse on "Hades" to continue caring for "Tartarus" through his family lineage.
I will always bring this up: BECAUSE TWST runs on imagination, and how the people perceive and remember events as a collective they wouldn't perceive Zeus as a God but a Great Mage that specialized in Lightning magic.
And this clashing of overwriting something that is proven "true" in one world and not in the other leads to Yuu operating as though they've never seen a Disney character/movie despite having most of their memories in tact.
And what was true in their world is only confirmed to be true BECAUSE of Mickey's aid because he's projecting ways to defeat the Overblotees despite him not even existing/being REAL in TWST.
I don't think transitioning from one world and the other doesn't have any form of consequences.
So what I'm saying is, the TWST Versions of the Great Seven would not line up with our/Yuu's view of the Great Seven because they were real, they were seen as mages who set the bar.
They've left their mark on the world.
So while we/Yuu might see our versions of the Great Seven, Yuu might also be seeing a different version of them as well.
Like having glasses on vs having them off.
What your eyes perceive when you have your glasses on vs when you have them off are completely different perspectives.

mickey, yuu, and the world of twisted wonderland
so, in the post that i wrote about silver, i mentioned how yuu could somehow communicate with mickey through something like a dream-world. in this post, i’ll write about my own theory about who yuu might be and what is twisted wonderland based on that speculation. but first, let’s take a look of this screenshot.
Tumblr media
the room looks incredibly familiar, doesn’t it? it’s almost identical to yuu’s room in ramshackle dorm. the screenshots were taken from “thru the mirror”, an old animated short released in 1936. for those who has just found out, it’s actually a pretty well-known fact that yuu’s room is basically based from this short animation. the animation itself was actually closely inspired by lewis carroll’s “alice through the looking glass”.
a little summary of “thru the mirror” to help the explanation better:
the opening scene showed that mickey fell asleep while reading the said book before he traveled into his own mirror into a topsy-turvy version of his house. everything was so bizarre there, aside from being the mirrored version of his house, there were a bunch of living furnitures with faces and personalities doing their own things.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
mickey walked around interacting with the furnitures and exploring the strange mirror world before he angered the king of hearts for dancing with his queen. the king then fought mickey in a sword fight before he was ultimately defeated by mickey by being pushed into an inkwell. a stamp then pulled the king out before cleaning him. but the king became even more furious and he called all of the card soldiers to get rid of mickey. but mickey fought them, armed with a fountain pen as a gun and a thimble as a helmet, he shot the card soldiers, successfully stopping them from chasing him any further.
Tumblr media
however, the ink ran out and more chaos ensues. long story short, mickey eventually managed to return to his own room and returned to his own body before he got woken up by an alarm clock.
end of summary.
after gathering some thoughts about this animation, i think it’s safe to say that the world of twisted wonderland is the mirrored version of the normal disney world (well, this one is pretty obvious seeing how the villains are treated like heroes in this world). the name itself is also obviously taken from “alice adventures in wonderland”, which is the first book before “alice through the looking glass”. so i think how yuu ended up in this world could be just like how alice ended up in wonderland. which means that the whole twisted wonderland is actually just a dream. someone’s dream to be exact.
about the animation itself, the one that took my attention the most was the scene with ink. it looks closely like an overblot scene, doesn’t it? and there’s also the fact that overblot incidents in nrc only started to happen right after yuu and grim got admitted into the said college. so it’s possible that they’re the ones that unconsciously somehow induced or triggered this incidents to keep happening. and after that being said, could it be that yuu is actually a twisted version of mickey himself? i know this crazy theory is kinda pushing it, but there’s also the fact that we had only been seeing mickey through the said mirror, and mickey and yuu were pretty much a polar opposite of each other: mickey is the first official disney character, the mascot, the center of disney; while yuu knows nothing about disney (showed in their reaction about the great 7 and the dreams), just a random person from another world.
now if the card soldiers were actually the illustrations of overblot incidents that had happened so far, then who was the king of hearts? i would say crowley, the principal of the said students. i read a theory a long time ago, saying how crowley could actually be in a constant overblotted state but he could somehow stabilize it, yet couldn’t get rid of all of its trace; that’s why he kept hiding his face behind a mask. that theory actually aligned nicely with the king of hearts scene where he fell into the inkwell, got cleaned, but still enraged. but we’ll see how close will the story follows this short animation.
hopefully that concludes all i got from analyzing the short animation, but i’d also like to include some interesting facts about “alice through the looking glass” that’s not depicted in “thru the mirror”. i said above that the whole twisted wonderland could be made from someone’s dream, right? now you might think that if it’s someone’s dream, then it’d be obviously yuu’s dream since they’re the main character of this story. well, it could be, but it’s probably not the case if the story follows the book. in “alice through the looking glass”, even though it’s obvious that alice was the main character of the story, the whole looking glass world was actually said to be made by the red king’s dream (not to be confused with the king of hearts, they’re different for all i know). should the king ever woke up, then the whole world will vanish.
now, if i have to make a guess on who the red king of twst would be, then of course it would be malleus. not only because of the opening art where it seems that he’d just woken up from the coffin, but remember what he said in the dorm introduction video? he’d make us the main character of this story. and he even said it again in chapter 7 trailer that he would show us a true happy end. seems to me that he had the power and awareness about whatever’s happening in twst.
oh, it’s actually also possible that not everything was dream, even in the book, there were actually some moments where the dream and reality was blurred. so even if twst is actually a dream world, it’s possible that’s not everything happening there was only a mere dream.
that will be all, let’s end this post here today. i actually still have some interesting facts about the red queen and how time worked in the looking glass world that might be related to twst, but let’s save it for another time.

Y’all I just thought of something, so if Yuu tells Malleus about Mickey in the mirror( cus spoilers: There was something about asking or needing a Fae when it came to the first years trying to find Mickey and Yuu thought of Malleus when that was said)….
Do you think Malleus would purposefully break the mirror in Yuu’s room or mess with it in some way like he did during the Never ending Halloween event???
Like y’all the possibilities of this boy’s behavior!

ACvdgsvjcs okay, this is probably my wildest, crackiest theory yet, but while investing the prologue once again, when Crowley gives us the ghost camera, he makes a very odd yet very familiar sound??
Tumblr media
Was....Was Crowley imitating Mickey at the end???
Here's a reference from Book 7 Mickey, when we finally meet him in the other side of the mirror (plus Grim scream jumpscare at the end haha)
Considering Crowley made that specific sound while giving us the ghost camera, that conveniently has a Mickey silhouette on it, it really feels like he's mimicking him?? Almost like he knows about him, or...he's really met him before.
This is based on the Phantom Blot theories, where Crowley is suspected to be THE Phantom Blot, who is Mickey's greatest enemy. Sorry to @the-hetchia-universe haha, I'm afraid my theories are very silly.
Tumblr media
(Screenshot from Otome Ayui on Youtube)
From what we know of Mickey and the mirror so far, the other side of the mirror is another world entirely. The room he's in has all the objects moving around, and Mickey doesn't know who is casting the spell inside that room. However, Mickey can only enter this room/mirror while he's sleeping. So, whoever is casting the spell in his room is basically invading his dreams, as if the person is trying to enter Mickey's world.
So let's say Crowley was the Phantom Blot. As Mickey's archnemesis and one of the most dangerous villains in Mickey's world, it makes sense that he'd try to invade his dreams and messing up the room. Additionally, when the Phantom Blot was first introduced in the comics, he was a thief that stole cameras and broke them (I'm assuming he was looking for a specific camera, but I'm not too confident about PB's lore)
Tumblr media
Crowley gives us a camera, which is coincidentally the same way the Phantom Blot was introduced, is very odd. We still don't know what the Ghost Camera has to do in the greater scheme of things, and why it captures part of people's souls.
Anyway, in the prologue, Crowley is the one to suggest that the MC came from a different world or a different universe. Yet Mickey is still...Mickey. He isn't based off Mickey, he is THE Mickey. But in Twisted Wonderland, all the princesses and villains and Disney stories were things of the far past. This, and Mickey and the room reference a lot of things from Disney in the 1900's. So if Mickey is alive in his world, the Phantom Blot has to be as well.
I'm thinking that the Phantom Blot (as Crowley) is trying to retrieve all the magic and blot he can to return to the other world. Perhaps he was somehow banished for his numerous, numerous crimes. Ramshackle dorm's mirror is his way back in.
In Book 6, Idia suggests that someone may be causing the Overblots on purpose, and specifically mentions how there's no signs of "bad stuff" being sealed away in Sage's Island. But STYX doesn't know everything, no matter their intel, and no matter how willing a certain someone is to hide it.
Tumblr media
Because when Riddle first overblotted, Crowley asked if anyone saw a black crystal (the overblot crystal) lying around. He knows about them, and the crystals must have a powerful property to them. Perhaps he was initially planning to use these crystals to gather the blot, but once he realized Grim was consuming them, he used it to his advantage.
Again, after the Book 6 fiasco, Crowley is specifically happy that GRIM came back unharmed. Grim is the one with all the blot slowly building up in him- Grim would be Crowley's ultimate weapon of blot. And with Crowley purposefully starting the Overblots, the more energy Grim would unknowingly consume. So perhaps there ISN'T any 'bad stuff' sealed on Sage's Island: The blot is hiding in plain sight through Grim.
With the blot and power, Crowley/Phantom Blot could fufill any desire he wanted...even go to another world.
