rewatching jane and ethan moments just to feel something

I keep on talking about the Twins Relationship but it is just, a very good depiction of a estranged sibling relationship.

Talking from experience here as someone who was in Dys' position, I really love how the game portrays it, I love how Dys feels overshadowed and stupid and lonely because Tang is so smart and how he believes she hates him and how Tang is feeding into it with how she treats him. It's pretty relatable, and how hard it is to reconnect after not being on speaking terms with each other, especially since Tang and Dys see each other somewhat often. They simply, don't know how to talk to each other anymore, they've become two very different people and don't know how to deal with that.

And also the things they do to cope just drive them apart, Tang throws herself into her work and study and perfectionism and never seems to have the time for her brother who she does act dismissive towards and a lot of times when she talks to you about him she says stuff like "I'm ashamed were even related" which just, does not help in the slightest, and for all Dys knows Tang does hate him and believe he's a useless piece of trash, but Dys also actively avoids the colony and her and talks about how much he hates her (I'm pretty sure there is a line where he just goes "I hate her") and how he can never talk to her and how she hates him, and for all Tang knows Dys does hate her and wants to avoid her and his responsibilities.

There this, resignation, to their relationship, and Dys has accepted the idea that they'll never be able to make up, he tells you in one of the scenes at the bar that:

"She's her, and I'm me, and we'll probably never get along. Not like when we were kids."

And he's still worried about her and cares about her, and will ask you if she's okay, because he can't do that, and he's accepted that he never will.

But Tang hasn't.

Thank you Stories Folder in the Exocolonist game for letting me read text without having to replay the game/get that ending, because I wouldn't know what happens to Tang when Dys disappears otherwise.

Tang breaks down because she can't handle losing another person, but also because to Tang, she never has the chance to make up with Dys, that path has been closed off, and she will never be able to even try, unlike Dys she's been holding onto that chance, she even tells you if Dys has left but you set up the bar that she "waited too long"

Anyway...Love the Twins So Much, and I will indeed work tirelessly at the bar for them so I can see them talk.
