Halloween prompts year 2 day 15
Hood remained silent, even as he clenched the gun tightly in his hand. He hadn't even seen a hint of green portals or blond elfs but 200 witnesses couldn't all be wrong.
All of them had stated that a white haired meta with a gas mask was working with a blond elf with a leaf mask and that they had been the ones kidnapping the kids and teens of Gotham.
Jason had heard stories of fairies snatching kids and infants, sometimes swapping them out with a sickly one of thier own. But there were no trades that Jason knew of. Only missing kids.
Hell, all of the biggest child gangs around Crime Alley and the Narrows were gone.
As in gone gone. Not a single member was left nor any trace of where they could have been taken to. As much as he hated to admit it, he might need to ask for help from the Justice League Dark...
---
Link stared down at the kids from his rooftop perch.
They looked...cleaner. Happier. They had gained a healthy amount of weight, no longer stick thin and weak looking. They had season appropriate clothing without holes and others hidden away in chests and armours for the coming seasons far off from now.
His spirit friend, Phantom, had panicked a bit after he realized what they were doing was trafficking, but calmed down once he pointed out that these kids would have a much better life in Hyrule than they would have had in the rotting trashpit that was Gotham.
If they would have lived much longer at all
Still, thier presence here was mutually beneficial. Hyrule had lost over 80% of its population in the Great Calamity and they were no where close to regaining the population they once had. All of thier forts, training areas, ect were specifically targeted and destroyed in the attacks and gardians and monsters were left in the ruins to ensure they could not rebuild what was lost
Which led to the bigger issues at hand. All the empty occupations.
The castle, and thus castle town, were ground zero for the disaster that wiped out the Hylian peoples. With it many businesses and trades were lost. Hyrule had few soldiers and those they did have desperately needed armor, weapons and training.
That wasn't all. Hudson construction had attempted to repair Castle town and eventually the castle, but they were wood workers, not stone masons. They knew little of the craft that was needed.
There were lessons and information in the castle archives covering most of the jobs and trades, as well as how to proform them, but the princess didn't see it as a priority. They didn't have the people necessary to teach these crafts and the castle and town surrounding wasn't really a priority anyway. Not with all the people who still needed help around the kingdom.
Phantom helped a lot too. Other than helping them build towns for the kids (the child gangs actually really liked having a town all to themselves) he did a lot of other random jobs around the kingdom, much like Link himself.
Unfortunately, his next trip to Gotham lead to a run in with the "Red Hood" and the phrase, "Was that a fucking fruit grenade?!" Link did not know what the word "Fucking" meant but the Hood man would not tell him. He is learning a lot of new words from this guy, words that Phantom appearently didn't like cause he loudly scolded Red Hood like a naughty child the first time they met. It was hilarious to see this tiny 15 year old tell off a giant tank of a man.
Link couldn't see the mans expression due to the odd red helm the man wore, but he could tell he was cowed, even if just a bit. Then he began speaking to someone who wasn't there while pressing his finger to the side of his helm where his ear should be. Is Red Hood ill? Does he have a mind sickness like the ones Phantom told him of when describing his parents? Or is this something Link doesn't yet understand...either way he doesn't think he's getting more children for Hyrules future in this trip...or anytime soon if those ominous masked people landing on the rooftops around them had any say in the matter.

I love how Hazbin Hotel brushed over Angel Dust’s drug use, because in the eyes of the show drug use isn’t something very traumatic, leads to much more vulnerable to human and sex trafficking, SA, and abusive relationships. Drug use is very complicated but in Hazbin Hotel Angel Dust’s drug problem is mentioned like…four times and one of those three times was a fucking joke. Drug use is often very misrepresented in media, also being an addict doesn’t make you a bad person, drug use shouldn't be criminalised (it makes it much harder to seek help), and rehab shouldn’t expensive as fuck. And also Angel Dust’s name? Weird as shit. That’s like naming your OC crack. It’s treating Angel Dust like he’s only his addiction wich is really horrible representation for obvious reasons. Vivziepop does not know how to represent serious topics, she either uses it for fetish bait or an actual literal joke. Also his name? Doesn’t make any sense. The effects of PCP were discovered over ten years after Angel Dust canonically died. It’s so clear Vivzepop didn’t do any research on the topic she’s trying to represent, it takes five seconds to google this shit.

TFW you had so many delicious ideas about a movie project starring that little jester twink who was rumored to hang out with your favorite Sin, but due to recent revelations suddenly realize just where it would have gotten you.
Although note how Valentino is still so full of himself he thinks Ozzie would want to keep him around.
(Also that is a really bad contract and I'd hope Fizz even at his most manipulated would have been smart enough not to sign it with that new clause. Mammon was already sexualizing him to hell and back, that's a small next step to attempt. Ew. Yeah no I don't believe for a second Mammon was actually going to let Fizz lose the competition, he was too much of an easy to control cash cow.)
Trying to find my style again after not drawing for years, got stuck between "Oh I'll just try doing colored sketches" and "Brain automatically goes back to lineart" and ended up with something in-between. Ah well.

Debunking the "The Jedi are Evil" Theory Made by The Film Theorists PT 4
Point 4 - The Jedi are a Cult
(TW: Human Trafficking, SA in regards to Human Trafficking)
Oh boy! We've finally gotten to the point that every single anti-Jedi idiot makes when they claim that the Jedi are evil!
Let's see what exactly Matthew says about it:
"The Jedi Order is a irrevocable cult that lands somewhere between an involuntary boot camp and human trafficking!"
Wow, that's quite a claim! Surely if you're making a claim like that, you've checked to make sure that the Jedi Order fits at least one of those definitions, right?
Let's check!
---
Cult Definition:
"A relatively small group of people having beliefs or practices, especially relating to religion, that are regarded by others as strange or sinister or as imposing excessive control over members." - via Oxford Dictionary, according to Google
The Jedi Order is about a group of 10,000 during the Prequels, so not exactly what I would call small--but sure, I'll give you small, since that's a pretty negligible amount of people in the galaxy.
Their beliefs and practices are rarely seen as a bit odd by people who aren't Jedi and/or haven't ever interacted with the Jedi, but for the most part people just regard their practices as hard to follow--since they practice a lot of self control and emotional regulation (which is healthy)--but ultimately good. Their beliefs definitely aren't regarded as "sinister."
The only people we see that even come close to believing that are the protesters in TCW, but they just think the Jedi are wrong for fighting in the war. It's nothing about their beliefs or practices.
And the Jedi certainly don't exercise "excessive control" over their members.
Many of the members dress differently, we're shown that the Jedi often disagree with each other and interpret their philosophy differently, the Jedi can leave the Order whenever they want, many members of the Order also practice the cultures of their homeworlds, people are literally appointed to the Council for thinking differently because the Jedi want to have differing viewpoints brought up, etc.
They even bend their own fucking rules sometimes to help their fellow Jedi!
Once a female Jedi fell in love and got pregnant and hid it, and Yoda and Dooku literally had a conversation where Yoda said point blank that they would've helped her, if they'd have known about it!
Literally the only things that the Jedi are anal about are:
1. Don't kill or hurt people, except as a last resort.
and 2. don't turn to the Dark Side (and I've already outlined why that's bad).
And even when people do turn to the Dark Side and hurt people, the Jedi fucking help them! They, of course, hold them accountable for their actions, but they try to help them turn back to Light and do better in the future!
---
Welp, they obviously don't fit the definition of a cult. Let's see about the next definition--involuntary boot camp.
Involuntary Definition:
"Done against someone's will; compulsory." - via Google
Boot Camp Definition:
"A place for training soldiers, especially new recruits." - via Google
Considering that parents willingly give up their children to the Jedi Order and then those children--when they grow up--choose to stay, since we've already established that they can leave at any time, I'd say that the Jedi Order definitely isn't involuntary.
And, as I've said before, the Jedi Order is a religious institution--not a militia--and even the work they do for the Republic is primarily diplomatic and peacekeeping ventures. So they're definitely not a boot camp either.
---
Wow, that's two definitions down that the Jedi definitely don't fit!
This next one's quite a serious claim, though, so the Jedi must fit this one--because it'd be pretty tone deaf and shitty to make said claim without it actually being true, right?
Human Trafficking Definition:
"Human trafficking is the trade of humans for the purpose of forced labour, sexual slavery, or commercial sexual exploitation." - via Wikipedia
HOLY SHIT, YOU COULD NOT BE MORE WRONG!
The Jedi do not "trade" their initiates, they do not force them into labor, and they certainly don't sexually exploit them--what the actual fuck is wrong with you to make this claim?
Especially when nothing we're shown is even remotely close to coming near this definition--even in the worst bad-faith reading of SW media.
Wow, so not a single thing that Matthew assigns the Jedi is actually something they fit the definition of. Imagine that.

A missing 14 year old girl was found in Marine Barracks in San Diego.
She was went missing on June 9, was reported on June 13 and was found in the base on June 18. A marine has housing her there because of "their relationship". He is currently being held in custody by NCIS and being questioned.
Her aunt, Casaundra Perez, says she was "sold for sex" and that the entire base should be held accountable and are involved because: "The security looked her in the face and allowed this man to bring a minor onto the base, where he proceeded to have sex with her." It is also noted that her niece has learning disabilities. Perez has posted a tiktok explaining the situation from her family's side and asking for the public to demand a clear and honest investigation and boost her niece's case. She fears military retaliation for herself and her family.
Currently, the girl has been returned to her grandmother's care and due to respect for her privacy and her age, her name is not public.

TWST MAFIA AU SORTA GALORE OF INFO
ehehehe I'm up to no good...
WARNING: in-depth depictions of crime, mentions of drugs, ring fights, animal trafficking, extortion, assassination, doxxing and other cybercrimes, gore, people trafficking, and other really bad stuff of the sort. PLEASE AVOID THIS IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE GRAPHIC DEPICTIONS OF HEAVY TOPICS IN GENERAL, THIS MAY GO WITH LOTS OF THOSE FROM ALL SORTS. note:I'll try to keep everypost about my mafia au with the text under the cut, so no one is triggered, as well as tagging properly. anything needed to be tagged that I don't cover please tell me. I am not afraid of delving into heavy topics of all sorts, and as such if the existence of this makes you uncomfortable, I will not be sad or mad to be blocked. Do what your health desires <3 Now onto the gruesome sights...
The Basics: As we may all know, Twisted Wonderland is a world full of sights to observe, culture to delve into, and all sorts of wonders. It is no different expected from a Wonderland. But if you delve closer, you may see that Twisted is much tamer than what really goes on in this world. The bane of the existence of a heavily capitalistic and globalized world is, of course, that as long as there is demand, there will be products to sell. Behind the curtains of pretty places and delightful music and cuisine, you may find yourself seeing some of the worst things happening to others. The heads, who control all of this monopoly over all sorts of twisted and gruesome acts, have their favorite heirs to this dangerous, yet extremely rewarding throne of crime. Those lucky ones are sent to the place that, on the outside, looks like the perfect magical academia, with only the most capable students and fierce-minded people, but soon you will find the reality when the doors close and the back ones open. Night Raven College is supposed to be a normal magical academy, that is on the paper, but when we were in need, we resorted to getting in debt with some of the most gut-wrenching people of all twisted Wonderland, and now we retribute by letting their... trainees, we will say, study and do their deeds there. They get the knowledge of the (metaphorical) underworld, and NRC gets enough funds for all we may need. Ain't I- I mean, the Headmage ever so generous?
The Dorms: Why, it is common knowledge that the different uniforms mean different dorms, but what does this entail, in this newfound context? Glad you asked! The Dorms selection used to not be biased but... that ended up on a whole new set of troubles... So now the dorm selection is, of course, by the Dark Mirror, but sometimes I- I mean, the Headmage finds there were "troubles" when dealing with the paperwork, and the student will be residing in another dorm for... a while, let's put it that way. That while can change, of course! but sometimes... it is not a good thing to change what is already good.
The Heartslabyul dorm, ever so strict about the rules! They make sure their exotic and wild animals are well-tended before they are sent to their new homes, with their brand-new owners. It is well known that Heartslabyul students have a heavy Animal Linguistics course, for the heads in the Queendom of Roses always need more animals. What if their delightful clients want a pink hedgehog instead of a blue one? The students need to deal with that, over the overlook of their dear housewarden Riddle Rosehearts. Just make sure to not anger him, as he has a tendency to Off people's heads. Sometimes he may even get... too literal.
The Savanaclaw dorm is persistent in keeping their pack. If you are one of them, you are not getting off the hook so easily. Always troublemakers though, love to pick a fight with the weaker. It is like the King of Beast's though himself: the weaker follow the stronger and smarter ones. Their rings tend to be open on the school basement or on the dorm training grounds at night, but don't be fooled, if you are seen there, you are under the One and Only, the rejected prince Leona Kingscholar's rules. If he says you fight, you do. We don't anger a lion, do we?
The Ocatvinelle dorm, so kind and benevolent to lend their works to other dorms. These students seem to always have contacts with the big people, and are always so kind to lend these contacts... for a price, of course. Don't take them for fools now, they will want a bit of this, and a bit of that. It is only fair right? An Eye for an Eye, a Leg for a Leg, how people say. Azul Ashengrotto makes sure everything is always prim and proper in case some dorm might need to stuck stuff in the confinements of this sub-aquatic dorm. But... he may ask for a price some are not willing to pay.
The Sacarbia dorm is always mindful of their allies as much as of their enemies. They are quiet in their work, as being loud would make them as disposable as their targets. When you look into it more, you will find that a student going missing is normal, and if they talked with housewarden Kalim Al-Asim, then you should be worried. How can someone who looks as innocent and sweet do what he does? No one knows and, frankly, do you even want to risk questioning it?
The Pomefiore dorm is tenacious with the quality of its products. The Fairest Queen didn't walk so that they would crawl, after all. They seem to be Professor Crewel's favorites when it comes to alchemy and potionology classes, and no wonder, as their potions, curses and drugs are some of the most deadly a person can take. Housewarden Vil Schoenheit makes it a point to everything be only the most perfect, and if not, he might curse it himself so it will do just as good. He has no pity when it comes to imperfections.
The Ignhyde dorm, Full of diligent people who know their place and do what they need to do. Of course they would do as they are told, but although they lack the strength of a Savanclaw student, and the charms of a Pomefiore one, they make it up in knowledge of technomancy. Just say who, and they have everything about them. Criminal record? Wiped. IP? Doxxed. Anything that is online, they can and will know. And if they don't, Just go to Idia Shroud, he seems to be happy to show just how smart he is by completely wiping evidence of someone's existence, or hacking databanks to feed to scams. They work great ways with Octavinelle on the "marketing" side.
The Diasomnia dorm and the nobility it helds from even being in it. Something not many can afford, really. While they seem quiet and mysterious, as most expect, the loud and nosy ones are the worst. Moles between the products, how they are called. They not only see themselves as above but will do all they can to prove their point, be that dismembering someone limb by limb, and seeing how long they go while still alive and conscious before releasing them of their suffering. Or maybe even holding the troublesome students in the Diasomnia basement, where they will meet their end one day, be to be the next heart to a great mage, or the slave to a rich countess. Malleus Draconia, if that even is his real name, is the one in charge in here, and what he lacks in social cues, he makes up in the strength to lead those under him. He reminds some of a king with an iron fist, who is not afraid to throw some peasants in the dungeons to make room for the nobles.
The Ramshackle dorm, once in disuse, is now up and running again with this strange human. They have no knowledge of magic, although their monster companion seems to get that just enough to pass, but... something about that human. It drives the others near, it makes them want to know what goes on in their little brain. Who knows if they will show themself capable of a role in this twisted world?
