Government Dog AU

The US Government has a very strong, very unknown meta that they use to threaten the Justice League when they feel the Justice League goes too far.

He is rarely brought out, he's taller than Superman, and every time the League thinks they know what he can do, they're surprised by more.

He's got white hair, green eyes, and can literally possess any leaguer and force them to do what the government said anyways.

They suspect something is off, but any attempts to reason with the meta are rebuffed with a punch.

Impulse sees him once, and while he hovers behind the General threatening Superman, Impulse zeroes in on one thing.

That meta is wearing a collar. It's well disguised, but that's a collar. He'd recognize one anywhere, being as recognizing one meant surviving in the Future.

He glances at Red Robin.

Red Robin nods subtly back.

Impulse launches forward and attaches himself to the big, scary meta's front.

The meta's hands dart out to grab him, and Impulse dodges, tricking the meta into crushing his own collar.

Everyone goes quiet.

The meta holds the crumpled collar in his hands.

"...I'm...free?"

Note

I desperately wanna know what it was like for each of the bishops to gain their crowns. Like they were all children, Shamura was the first. They were alone for a long time until Kallamar came along.

I feel like every time I answer an ask I just leave y’all with more questions. But Shamura, dispute being the first of the bishops, was not alone. They are about 12 here.

I have a headcannon that a lot of Shamura’s game dialogue are phrases that they have said or heard before their injury. Left over fragments from their past that they can’t quite remember yet are still haunted by.

Don’t ask me what happened with the visual style here, it’s out of my control. This is barely even cult of the lamb anymore, I’ve gone rouge.

CW: consensual mind control.

"You want me to... what?" the vampire quietly questioned, unsure if they had heard right.

The human sitting in their lap pouted. "Hypnotize me. Put me under a spell, whatever you wanna call it!"

"You would... trust me to have total control over you like that?" The monster was stunned - in awe and yet anxious. No one had ever asked such a thing of them.

"Love, I already look you in the eyes every day; of course, I trust you," Human said as if it was the most obvious fact of the universe, surprising their partner further.

"I... thought you didn't know... Whenever you looked me in the eyes, I thought..." Vampire trailed off. They held the human closer. "You really want me to...?"

Human nodded with an eager grin. "Yes! If you're uh... comfortable with that, of course."

The monster chuckled in disbelief. "I'm pretty sure I'm meant to ask you that after such a proposal."

The other laughed with them. "Well, I'm very comfortable with the idea. And you?"

The vampire grinned, letting their fangs show. "I think I wouldn't mind giving it a try~."
