My manufacturer sent me pics of the first samples of tvc book Armand and IWTV amc Armand plushies! (Keep in mind this isn’t their final design just first sample so they will look different later on). Have to modify both of them a fair amount but here’s the start!!! 

I think one of the reasons "The vampire Armand, the love of my life." Feels so weird is because it differs so much from every other form of love shown so far, Iwtv's love is always shown as something passionate, platonic or otherwise, the first time we see someone loving someone else is when Louis pulls a knife on Paul and is also the moment Lestat falls in love, almost every moment and display of love is painfully charged, even looks, when we're shown Lestat looking at Louis during the opera Louis is narrating that he was being haunted, Lestat saying that he's never met someone as angry and stubborn/loving and dedicated. Love is a weapon love hurts, scars, kills; Louis tells Paul he loves him and then Paul dies right after, Claudia killing Charlie, Louis telling Daniel he loved Claudia unconditionally even after their relationship deteriorated and even turned to resentment, giving someone the dark gift means killing them damning them to inflict pain on others drinking blood is uncontrollable something that drives vampires to irrationality and madness.

And then Louis and Armand from second 1 go against all of it, they listen to each other, every interaction is subdued, calm, silence, words unspoken that get completely understood by the other, empty big spaces, inhuman stillness that doesn't belong to vampirism, creatures of reason, Armand stepping in to stop the interview to ground Louis, where the interview is explosive emotions, regret, violence, love, hate, anger, lust, death, joy, cluttered rooms, buildings full of people and life, juxtaposed to the box, the self described coffin where Louis can protect others from him feeling those emotions, to keep himself from being a vampire from being human.

Im actually really hoping as we get further into IWTV and then TVL- that Armand and Daniel keep having these little moments and Daniel slowly has more memories, and we see more flashbacks, and we just get this build up to Devil’s Minion.

Like I am rooting for the ‘Daniel was with Armand for a spell in the 80s but Armand let Daniel go’ theory.

so i apologize to my past self. I did NOT believe Rashid was going to be armand i was absolutely not in that train and now i am. with lots of fucking confusion. because.... like.... i am super confused. but now i believe it. I was so shocked that i cried....  

cleaned up the armand plush sketches i posted yesterday a little bit! gonna be working on getting sample plushies made of of the Louis/Lestat/Claudia plushies done first so i can hopefully open up pre0rders for those by the end of the month, but then I’ll be getting back to work on the armands!
