Summary:

You sighed agreeing “ok fine, but just five minutes” Tuk jumped in happiness as she dragged you and Tsireya on the shore.

“All right so Tsireya you can start to count” Tuk said.

“alright her i go.” she said smiling while starting to count. You and Tuk started to run away quickly.

“Tuk come here!” you whispered

You took Tuk by her hand and drag her in the palm forest.

“a'ight hide here I'll go more deep into the forest. Don't move ok?” she nodded at your words and sat down as you started to get away.

You found a group of mangroves around a little swamp.

They were pretty big and very beautiful. You quickly sneaked behind one and sat to observe the surroundings.

Crack!

You heard a strange sounds coming from one of the mangroves.

Quickly your hand slipped over your knife.

You heard that sound again, followed by a wet one while something fell right inside the swamp.

You watched the ripples calm down.

Everything went quite for a moment before someone resurfaced from the swamp waters coughing and shaking the water off.

“Lo'ak? Wha-” you stopped when you noticed a weed between his hair.

You covered your mouth before bursting in laughter leaning your back to the old mangrove.

He pouted trying to figure out why you were laughing, not counting the fact that he had just fallen out of a tree.

You then understood he was trying to climb on that tree and you explained him that mangroves were big but their branches were weak not good for holding any type of weight.

The darker Na'vi formed a 'O' with his lips and nodded to himself after your explanation.

You pulled the weeds out of his hair giggling.

"You shouldn't climb mangroves forest boy" you said jokingly earning an eye roll by the male.

“by the way... Why were you even climbing on these trees?” you asked him curiously

“you wanna know so you can make fun of me?” he asked you grinning.

“you know i won't. You can trust me” you said smiling back.

He sat next to you and threw a little rock into the water.

You two watched the ripples again staying silent.

“i miss the forest, my home, the Omaticaya people.” he broke the silence sighing.

You shifted your glance to the sky humming at his words. “i think it's completely natural to miss your home...” you said still looking at the sky.

“i don't blame you, i think i would be feeling the same way.” you smiled finally turning to look at him.

He was still watching the ripples disappear slowly. He really did miss his home.

“you know... I think you might get used to this fish-like life” you said chuckling and touching his shoulder.

He chuckled “i guess I'll have to” he said looking back at you.

You felt your heart pump faster hearing his soft laugh. He was so cute.

You two looked at each other for a moment getting lost in your (e/c) orbs and the his dark yellow ones.

He then broke the silence and the eye contact coughing lightly with a light blush spreading on his ears and cheeks.

“uhm what are you doing here anyway?” he asked changing argument.

“oh I'm playing hide and seek with Tuk'tirey and Tsireya.” you said turning to look at the mangroves again.

You heard him mumble. “hope she won't find me” you chuckled

“then I'll leave so she won't catch you” you heard Lo'ak speak before getting up.

He was about to leave but you took his hand and pulled him back down. “you stay here skxawng” you said smiling at him.

You saw him panicking a bit and blushing again.

Lo'ak pov

'Shit shit shit. What should I do now.'

He thought to himself before carefully looking at you.

A/n pov

You started taking steps to the bathing pool starting to enter the cold water “come Lo'ak” you smiled signing him to follow you into the water.

You submerged leaving your chest out then you turned to look at the forest boy entering the slightly cold water, his tail twitched.

You were looking around carefully to see if you were been located by Re'ya, but apparently you were safe.

“so what are we doing now??” You finally broke the silence turning to him, only to find him already staring at you flustered.

Seeing his gaze you felt your cheeks burn as well. You winced as you felt his hands grip yours, your eyes falling on them.

“Y/n. If i don't say this now i probably won't for the rest of my life.” he said in one breath.

You stared in his amber orbs the warmth spreading from your cheeks to your ears

“I-” he stopped feeling his heart pumping in his throat. His tails wagging in nervousness.

“I see you and- and I like you Y/n!!” he blurted out squinting his eyes while holding your hands.

You were speechless. No really, you couldn't let any words pass by your lips.

Yet there were so many things you wanted to say.

You squinted your eyes and hold tight to his waist. You felt light and the wind caressed your hair, but still you refused to open your eyes.

“you can open your eyes now” you heard Lo'ak say and feeling the words vibrate through his back.

Then you slowly opened your eyes. And your breath was taken away. You could see the whole ocean, and the eclipse was about to come, so a particular light illuminated the water and the surroundings.

“wow” was all you managed to say. You heard him chuckle at your amazement.

“I wanted you to see this” he said making you turn your head to the eclipse.

It was magical... A golden light illuminating the sea beneath you.

The eclipse was close. It should start in about an hour.

“it's beautiful Lo'ak” you said smiling sweetly at the breath-taking sight.

“if we stay here too much you'll end up in trouble.” you said teasing and chuckling as his body tenses.

“You're right, maybe we should go back” you felt his heart racing as you caressed his back.

“but i could stay here forever” you whispered “with you” you finished caressing his hair with one hand.

You hugged him tightly “i see you Lo'ak” you finally said smiling against his back.

Tsireya pov

“Where is she for the love of Eiwa!” she exclaimed. “we have tasks to do” she said sighing heavily.

“you'll see she'll come back.” Ao'nung said sighing as well while holding Tuk's hand and starting to walk her to her marui.

“I'll take her back to her parents I'll be back” he said giggling as his sister was looking really worried.

“ow that skxawng.” she stated before following her brother to see if you were anywhere near your marui.
