There’s a widespread belief among sky people that every first-born daughter is a direct copy of her father.
You listened in on your own father complaining to your mother about this privately one time; according to him, this was why you guys kept banging hammerheads like 'angtsìks.
Lo’ak was his troublemaker, yes, but you were the rebel pain in his ass, wouldn’t stop questioning one tiny simple step he made, never took anything seriously when he needed you to be on top of things hundred percent of the time... Even your younger brother knew boundaries after he was given the stink eye, but you hadn’t stopped testing him every single goddamn day after the sky people had come back.
His youngest son and oldest daughter were nearly identical in the speed they got him seeing red, but the similarities ended there. Lo’ak would go behind him to cause trouble, and you would do it right to his face, that fearlessness and defiance made you more dangerous than your brother in your father’s opinion.
His blood pressure skyrocketing was reserved for Lo’ak and the shenanigans he knew right away the boy was getting into, and you got his explosive anger the moment you would open your mouth to defy him — he couldn’t talk to you, a normal conversation even about your mother’s cooking wasn’t possible without you being passive-aggressive and things snowballing from there.
(“This is delicious Neytiri, thank you for the food. Sturmbeest?”
“Sturmbeest meat ran out like two weeks ago, father. You ask this everyday and mom answers the same everyday.”
Cue him reprimanding you for talking to him like that, you saying maybe he should greenlight a hunt soon to calm his nerves and promptly being sent to your room. It was Neteyam who’d saved some food for you that night.)
If only you would stop talking back to him and listen for once, he’d said, pacing in the tent with hands on hips like an agitated viperwolf as mother watched on, most likely tired from going through this loop for yet another day. You are the older sister to Lo’ak, Kiri and Tuk, why can’t you be a role model for them like Neteyam is?
(Mom had given him the flattest, “She is at the age for such behavior, Ma’Jake, we’ve talked about this. Let her be.”)
In your defense, he didn’t make sense sometimes, what harm was there in wanting him to explain the thought process behind his decisions?
Apparently you simply were prohibited from doing that to the Olo’eyktan.
But he was father, he was your family. Why did that have to be disrespect?
He wasn’t like this before.
A small part of you was aware this was you lashing out because you missed your father — the lighthearted rock in your life, the big shadow protecting you from the heat of the world, who knew how to smile and show his love before all of this. Now he was just the leader of the clan, the weight of the revered Toruk Makto on his shoulders made him a total stranger you didn’t recognize.
He barely ever called you sweetheart anymore, punishing you for being a brat, most likely. You tried to act like it didn’t hurt.
But it did. You missed him dearly when he was right in front of you. The rest of the family did, too, they just didn’t say it out loud the way you expressed through what you called standing up to him — in reality, it was a statement about the man he had become, father couldn’t read between the lines to understand.
Mom did.
She would always explain he did it out of love and worry, and his every move had a reason behind it after the scoldings ended. It was as if she saw right through the prickly exterior of her eldest daughter.
Her love wasn’t held back like his was, not shared like military MREs at decided moments in a day in between attacks, raids, meetings and duties. Hers were long touches, hugs, kisses on your temple, shared time and hunts together, her letting you ride on her ikran with her, the warmth of a meal and soft smiles; whilst his was randomly asking how you were after training and where you’ve been if he caught onto your absence sometimes. He didn’t have time for you or your siblings except for Tuktuk these days. That’s why you were now a mama’s girl.
Sooner or later, the breaking point was finally bound to arrive.
Yours did after a particularly heated-up fight about your rite of passage. You had had enough of father postponing it when Lo’ak, younger than you, had already gained his own ikran and gone through uniltaron. He was present in the tent while you were fussing and debating with your immovable mountain of a father only answering with single syllable responses, and his light snickers made you all the more aggressive. He got a strong jab from Kiri after a loud snort.
Kiri, you could get. She was built different from the start — got her mount earlier than anybody else, just walked up to it and asked. Besides, the girl wasn’t a dick about it like Lo’ak was.
“You aren’t ready yet,” father answered the more you asked him. You thought he'd say a different thing the hundredth time, but he didn't. “Your brother was.”
Lo’ak puffed his chest at that, desperate for a drop of recognition as always, and you could only roll your eyes. “So you think I’m weak? I’m not strong enough?”
Father sighed at the provocation. “That’s not what I’m saying. This and being ready are two different things.”
“How are they different? If I’m on top of my training, that means I’m ready.”
“Physically ready, and mentally ready are not the same.”
“How can I not be mentally ready, I’ve already seen what happens—”
“Enough!” He stood up, towering above you and leaning in slightly. Your younger brother had stopped smiling so quickly you almost let a laugh escape you, and father got agitated when he saw that, thinking you were making fun of him. “Some don’t return from the dream hunt. Do you understand? The strongest sometimes don’t return from that. Your mind needs to be strong.”
“And mine isn’t?”
He gave a slow exhale through his nose, not actually wanting to say it for some reason. “No it isn’t.”
“Why?”
There it is. Your signature phrase. ‘Why?’
And it made your father look above, asking silently for patience from Eywa as it always did.
“Ma’ite, why don’t we take a break, hm? Come walk with me,” your mom interrupted, taking your hand and standing next to you, your four fingers got enveloped in her larger, warmer grip, strong and insistent.
“No, I wanna hear it. What do you think makes me not ready?”
You insinuating that your father was entirely going off his own wrong opinion and not knowing any better set him off. You saw the change from ticked off to borderline on edge, but instead of giving into it, he turned his back on you and went back to cleaning his gun, movements choppy and harsh. “That immaturity for a start.”
And you hissed at him—actually hissed at him when none of your siblings would ever dare to talk back to him during a lecture.
The audible gasps, the holding of breaths, and the slow turn of your father’s head looking like he was going through confusion of reality upon being hit on the head had followed. His eyes narrowed and the lines of his eyebrows got gradually lower on his face, his form seemingly expanding in mass from building anger, spine slowly straightening after fully comprehending what you just did.
“I’m way past you giving me attitude missy,” his baritone and low voice was so steady that you’d rather him yell at you like usual, but he was scarily calm, pushing you to raise your chin righteously at him to show you weren’t bothered by him none, but your ears betrayed you by cowering flat and taut against your skull. “But you’re hissing at your father now? Hm? You think this right here is gonna get you the respect you think you deserve?”
“You don’t listen,” you said, ignoring your heart trashing away from how coldly father was to you.  “Disrespect,” your fingers quoting in the air resulted only in making him angrier. Neteyam to his right, silent and observant the whole argument, was furiously shaking his head that the beads in his braids were clicking loudly. “is the only way you ever pay attention to anything anymore. See? Look how sharp you are right now. Mission accomplished, I guess.”
“Bro…” Lo’ak, frightened by the wide eyed glare father was giving you, weakly protested, but you knew he would never be able to interfere in the verbal struggle between you and father the way you did to his.
“You will go to your room,” father said between his teeth, “Do not let me see your face. I swear to Eywa—Neytiri, get her outta here.“
“Do you ever want to see our faces anymore, father?”
A beat.
Mom gasped your name in shock, grabbing your arm this time as if she wanted to drag you away.
All his fury froze away immediately. “What did you just say?”
You just stared at him.
“That’s enough,” your mother snapped at you, but you didn’t hold it against her, she was more worried about what would follow if this went on. “Come on, we’re leaving.”
“Okay.” Father slowly shook his head, the storm brewing right under his skin got you preparing for the impact, and all the kids flinched when he threw the unloaded gun back in the crate. “You know so much, don’t you? You’re smart, wise. Know better than Tsahik herself. Fine, you get your way. Go.”
You froze. “What?”
“Yeah, go. Get yourself an ikran.”
“Father—”
“Don’t father me. Go on. I’m not stopping you. Since you’re so ready and you’ll say just about anything to get what you want, who am I to get in your way, huh?”
But you didn’t want it to be like this. Iknimaya was supposed to be something exciting, prideful — a ceremony. He was saying it like you were being thrown out. Who was going to paint your face? Be proud of you?
“Why are you just standing there?” He poked your crushed ego further, confident in the fact that you wouldn't set one foot outside of the cave systems at this hour of the day. “Didn’t you want this?”
You didn’t want this.
“Dad, it’s the middle of the night,” Kiri said, appalled, not quite believing her ears.
“What does it matter?” He showed you in mock pride, up and down that you couldn’t stop the tears from stinging the corners of your eyes. “Mighty hunter here is ready.”
“Jake,” your mother warned in such a threatening tone that he stopped and shifted on his feet, almost uneasy.
“What? If she doesn’t want a father’s concern I’m not giving it to her.”
Like you weren’t standing right in front of him at all.
“Jake!”
That was the final straw. You wrenched your arm free from mom’s iron grip and screamed, “I hate you!” at the top of your lungs at him before storming off the tent.
His ears flattening was the last thing you paid attention to as everything became a blur because of tears swelling. Yeah, right. You wished you could hurt him, unfortunately he was too much of a wall for that. You bet he was scoffing at your declaration right now.
Your body thought faster than your brain did even when the emotions had you drowning under the current, deciding you were going to sneak off to the ikran rookery tonight. You knew he would send Neteyam after you — him barking, “Follow your sister,” at the boy right after you hid yourself between the rocks surrounding the tent was the confirmation of the hypothesis. He was to make sure you didn’t leave High Camp.
Everyone in your family knew your favorite hiding spot to cool off, Neteyam of course was heading there automatically, and it was the headstart you needed to get a move on.
Fine. You would complete your iknimaya yourself without anybody’s support, as if these things had any value anymore with how military he’d conditioned the clan to be. You were going to make him eat his words for humiliating you.
The muffled of father drifting off flared up your determination as you soundlessly sneaked off. "Jesus, I've spoiled her too much..."

I Love You, I Trust You, I See You
When people thought of the Sully family many thought of your siblings. They thought of Lo’ak who was always a troublemaker, causing chaos everywhere he went. They thought of Kiri who seemed so in tune with her surroundings that she might as well be Eywa herself. They thought of Tuk who was the youngest, still enamored by everyday life. They thought of Neteyam, a strong leader who would someday take on the role of Olo’eyktan after your father.
They never thought of you.
You who always seemed to be in your own little world. You who never had any friends. You who never talked. You who always seemed so attentive to the world around you, yet had no desire to join it.
When you were born after your twin Neteyam, a spike of fear had run through everyone in the room when you began to cry, but no sound came out. They feared you may not be breathing right, you may need your airways cleared. They feared something was wrong, and that was true.
When your parents or siblings thought about your family, they thought about you. They thought about how funny you were, always cracking jokes when there was a chance. They thought about how kind you were, taking a moment to check on everyone daily. They thought about how different you were than most.
They thought about you. You who couldn’t hear.
You always seemed to be in your own world, and that drew many away from you, they didn’t want to be friends with someone who they didn’t think was paying attention to them, and to be fair you weren’t paying attention to people most of the time. You preferred to direct your attention to the world around you, always keeping an eye out as you couldn’t hear danger coming.
When you had been caught by Quaritch and his men you had panicked, more than everyone else at least. You didn’t know what was going on, you didn’t know what they were saying, your lip reading was not dependable, and definitely not in english.
When your siblings arms were bound you couldn’t keep yourself calm, now you had no way of communicating, they couldn’t translate for you. Tears streamed down your face, eyes closed as tight as possible to try to calm yourself by blocking out the outside world.
When you felt your captor’s grip on your release your eyes shot open, looking around at the damage around you, multiple avatars dead on the ground. Then you ran, you ran faster than ever before in the first direction you saw.
You ran and ran, eyes trained on everything around you, and when you ran into someone and they grabbed you again it was like a shock. You let out a scream, the first noise anyone had ever heard you make. A noise nobody was aware you could make.
You turned to dead weight in an attempt to get out of their grasp, panic coursing through you again as your eyes couldn’t come into focus. However, the person dropped to the ground with you, pulling your face towards them and holding it still as you tried to thrash. Then they blew air into your face, and you realized you were safe.
When you were younger you would throw temper tantrums, as children do, where you would close your eyes to refuse to listen to your parents. Not being able to see them meant no sign language, which meant no having to listen to them. However your father found one thing always worked, blowing air on your face. Your eyes would shoot open, highly offended with your mouth dropped open, before you would sign at him, “Your breath is gross.” in retaliation.
You had never been more relieved for your dad’s stupid way of getting you to listen. Your eyes finally came into focus and you calmed down seeing his face, but that calm quickly turned into crying, sobbing. You couldn’t help but let out all of the pent up emotion inside of you, but eventually you calmed down and were able to stand back up, staggering your way home with the rest of your family.
Some time later when your parents had been arguing in your family kelku you hadn’t been paying attention as your siblings were, all huddled against the wall. You had been lost in your own world once again, not wanting to know what was being said as you were still processing what had happened earlier. You didn’t need anything on top of that as you feared it would make your careful stack of emotions you had constructed come tumbling down.
They had come tumbling down though as your parents announced you were moving, leaving. Leaving everything you had ever known, your home, your grandmother, the forest you loved so much. You couldn’t help it as you cried again, being held by your mother this time.
However as you thought about it you weren’t that sad. You had always liked the water, everyone not having to hear underwater made you feel more included, more like you belonged, and you had heard the Metkayina used sign language. Maybe this would be a chance to make friends for the first time in your life. Maybe you would be able to talk to people for once, nobody at home taking the time to learn American Sign Language, as your father had called it, like your family had.
One thing you hadn't taken into account was that they used a different version of sign language, but that had become very apparent when you first jumped into the water with Tsireya, Ao’nung, and Rotxo. They used signs you had never seen before, ones you didn’t recognize. You couldn’t help but feel a little beaten down at dinner, staying quieter than usual, not signing as much.
Afterwards your dad had asked you to step outside, waving a hand towards you as he exited the marui.
He sat down on the pathway, and you knew he expected you to join him, so you did. You sat next to him with your feet dangling in the water, looking out towards the horizon, refusing to look at him so you didn't have to have a conversation.
That didn’t last long though as he poked you in the arm, causing you to look at him offended, mouth open and eyebrows raised. He took this as his chance to speak, “You okay, kid?” He signed.
You sighed deeply, fidgeting with your hands before signing, “I’m okay, dad.”
You could tell he didn’t believe you, lips pressed together in a thin line and eyebrows furrowed, “You’re less talkative. What’s wrong?” He signed, proving he didn’t think you were telling the truth.
A frown came to your face, feeling like it was permanently there after the past few days or so, but you continued, “I’m disappointed.”
He raised his eyebrows, surprise and confusion on his face, “About what?”
You looked away from his face, instead choosing to watch his hands, you didn’t want to see the pity on his face, “We don’t speak the same language. I can’t communicate. Everyone else can at least talk to each other.”
His face softened, but you didn’t see it, “It’ll be okay. You’re a fast learner, so you will learn their language quickly, then you can make friends. If anyone actually wants to be your friend.” He meant it playfully, and you saw him laugh, so jammed your elbow in his ribs.
Then the conversation was over, your mom poking her head out of the doorway and saying something to your dad. He just stood up and gave you a look like he was asking, “You good?” and you nodded, “Yes.” back in return.
After your father’s words of encouragement you decided to work harder, learn faster, determined to be able to communicate with the people around you, and a few weeks later you were excelling whereas your siblings were still struggling. They were caught up on the differences of Metkayina sign language versus ASL but you had grasped that there weren’t differences, or similarities, and you would just be learning from scratch.
Even though you were doing well at it, working your way towards being fluent, you were worried about talking to the people, mostly because of one person in particular, Ao’nung. It was as if Ao'nung was determined to ruin your siblings' lives, and yours, but you didn’t know that.
You had seen Ao’nung’s attempts to cause hell for your siblings, nagging at them, laughing at them, and even trying to start fights, with Lo’ak in particular. Him messing with your siblings made you frustrated, but you weren’t aware of the taunts meant to make you upset, and laughing that was meant to make you feel like a target coming towards you from a distance.
The bullying towards your siblings had become more and more frustrating and you had begun showing your anger at home, being rougher with things than usual, and not wanting to go outside of the shared family marui.
It had been peaceful while you and your mom had been working on dinner, but she noticed you seemed to be far off, handling the food with rougher hands, “Are you okay, (Y/n).” Neytiri signed as you placed another fish over the fire.
You rolled your eyes at her, upset she was even insinuating something was wrong. In reality there was, but you didn’t want to admit that, “Yes mama, I’m fine.”
“Are you sure?” She had asked back, concern on her face as she looked at you closely.
You signed, “Yes.” Trying to end the conversation, but you knew she would just keep pushing.
You saw your mom think for a moment, her face scrunching up in concentration, “Well I am not.”
You frowned more, once again feeling like it had always been there since you left the forest, “Not what?”
She was frowning too now, “I’m not sure you’re fine. I see you isolating yourself. Even from me and your father.” She grabbed your hands, squeezing them gently to show her love in a little way.
Tears welled in your eyes, frustrated tears, tears that came because with all the stress recently they were the only way your brain knew how to process, to cope.
You pulled your hands from hers to wipe at them, “I’m sorry.” was all you could say.
She wiped the tears falling down your face before saying, “Why?”
You sniffled, running your hands down your face before signing, “I see Lo’ak, Kiri, and Neteyam being picked on, and there is nothing I can do. I can’t stand up to the bullies. I can’t say anything.”
“Okay, well soon you will be able to say something. You are learning their sign language, yes? I’ve heard from your siblings you are out working them.” She smiled at you and you could really see how proud of you she was.
You couldn’t help but crack a little smile although tears still threatened to fall, “Yes, mama. I’m getting better, but I’m worried it will be too late though.”
“I’m sure you will do your best, my ‘ite.” She thought for a second, “Why don’t you go try to talk to these kids tomorrow?”
You sighed, you didn’t want to, but you knew your mom would nag you until you agreed, “Okay. Love you.”
She smiled lovingly at you, “Love you too.” before pulling you into a hug.
When tomorrow came you didn’t even want to leave your marui, but you found the strength to do so. You did some of the breathing exercises Tsireya had taught you to try to calm your nerves, and they worked for the most part, steadying you and clearing your head.
However as soon as you stepped outside your marui you regretted it, not wanting to do what you had promised to your mother, but you knew you had to eventually. Eventually, which meant you could fool around as long as you wanted beforehand, and so you decided to settle down for a quick nap on the beach.
When you laid down and closed your eyes you quickly and easily fell asleep. You were still tired from last night when you struggled to sleep from your anxious thoughts.
When the Sullys moved to Awa’atlu Ao’nung thought they were weird, knew they were weird. He took a particular hatred towards the older Sully kids, Neteyam was the perfect little follower, Lo’ak was constantly in trouble, Kiri was always off in her own world, and you. Just you. You seemed to always ignore him and never talk, but what he didn’t know was that it's because you couldn’t hear him.
Ao’nung tried to not let anything get to him, especially when it came to people he didn’t like, like the Sullys, but for some reason you, (Y/n) Sully, had peeved him more than anyone or anything else. He had grown tired of you ignoring him when he shouted or laughed at you, like you didn’t even notice he was there, tired of you flat out avoiding him sometimes as you scurried away when he tried to approach you.
Of course he knew why, he had the same intentions to bully you and make you feel unwanted in Awa’atlu as your siblings. Of course you didn’t want this so you spent most of your time avoiding him, but for some reason instead of him not caring about it, it made him want to get under your skin even more.
When the sun rose today he decided today was the day to act. Today he would confront you head on, face to face. He would make you notice him, and he would make you feel awful in the process. So he gathered his friends, his goons, and they set off to find you.
They first checked with Tsireya who was with the rest of your siblings, but you were nowhere to be found, they all insisted they hadn’t seen you. Then they combed the beach, going from one end to the other, and on the far end they found you peacefully asleep on the soft sand.
He couldn’t help but notice how cute you looked asleep and peaceful, but he quickly shook it off, shouting at you, “Wake up, freak!”
He was targeting your extra finger and the hair above your eyebrows, like he had your siblings because he knew that got to them, and hoped it would do the same to you.
When you didn’t stir he tried shouting again, assuming you were awake, but trying to act asleep to avoid him, “What is wrong with you? Do you not care or are you stupid avoiding me?”
His friends laughed at you when you still didn’t move, eyes not cracking open and your breathing staying the same, so he took the next step, trying something physical. He kicked sand up and over you and finally you stirred, sitting straight up and looking around for the source of the sand, and when you saw him your heart dropped, a lump forming in your throat.
“There we go, now you are paying attention.” He snickered.
You tried to read his lips, but he spoke too fast, and you just stayed silent. You cocked your head to the side, eyebrows drawn together in a look of confusion.
You hesitated for a second, but were about to sign something when he spoke again. “Do you not speak? A silent freak, interesting.” You still didn’t understand exactly what he was saying, but his friends all laughed at you, and although you couldn’t hear it it made you feel small.
“I’m sorry. I can not hear you.” You signed, using Metkayina sign language this time.
He scoffed, “I do not believe that. I think you just don’t want us to bother you, but here we are.” He laughed in your face.
“Please use your hands.” You tried to communicate, but they just wouldn’t listen to you.
“No.” He sneered, this you understood, one single word.
Your mouth dropped open, offense written all over it. You knew he was disrespectful, didn’t care about others feelings, but you would make him care, “I can not hear. I am deaf.”
He was about to retort against you again, but when he had been searching for you earlier that day Neteyam knew he meant trouble, so when he found you he stayed in the shadows, watching, but now Ao’nung had taken it too far.
He surged forwards, anger consuming him, “Step off bro. She can’t hear you.”
“Yeah that is what she just said.” He rolled his eyes, “I do not care though, it is better if she can not hear me. Means I can make fun of her without her knowing.” He signed the last part so you could understand.
You shrunk back, standing to hide behind Neteyam. You tugged on his arm, “It’s okay.” You signed.
“It’s not okay, (Y/n).” He rubbed a hand down his face, turning to Ao’nung, “You need to leave her alone.”
“Whatever.” Ao’nung scoffed before turning and walking away.
Now he knew why you seemed to ignore him, you just didn’t know he was talking to you. You were probably avoiding him because you didn’t know their sign language yet. He felt bad for some reason. He usually wouldn’t feel bad about his bullying but with you it felt different now knowing this.
He couldn’t show his feelings though, worried about his little group making fun of him, but he slowly started to back off of you, and your siblings some as well. Whenever one of his “friends” would ask why, he would reply something like “We can not make fun of a cripple.” and roll his eyes, still a jab at you, but less so.
At some point you became all that consumed his thoughts, on his mind at all times, and whenever he would see you with his sister, or your siblings, he would feel the need to insert himself into the conversation, but he always refrained. He wanted to talk to you, to apologize, but he feared judgment from his “friends” who are just as nasty as he was.
Eventually he couldn’t hold it in anymore, heading to your marui to ask to talk with you, in the way you would understand. When he knocked on the doorway of the family home Lo’ak was the first to notice him, glaring at him and nudging Neteyam in the side, directing his attention towards Ao’nung.
Neteyam stood before either of his parents even noticed the boy in the doorway, stalking over to him and dragging him down the pathway so they could talk, “What do you want?” He hissed out.
Ao’nung cleared his throat, but the words still came out small, nervous, “I came to apologize to (Y/n)...”
“No.” Was all Neteyam said before turning away and starting to walk back into the Sully family’s home.
Ao’nung grabbed his arm before he got too far away, “Please. Please let me talk to her.” He begged, something he didn’t like to do, but it was necessary.
Neteyam sighed, “Fine, but if you do anything I will chop your head off myself.” He threatened the boy, “I’ll go get her.”
It wasn’t long before you stepped out of the marui, a frown on your face and hands he could see shaking, “What do you want?” You signed, hands shaking with nerves.
“I came to say sorry.” He started off, “I’m sorry for bullying you, and your siblings. I promise I won’t do it any more.”
“And?” You asked, knowing there was more.
He looked nervous now, hands shaking as he signed, “I wanted to extend the offer of friendship.”
You looked shocked now, “You want to be friends with me?”
He nodded his head, smiling shyly, “Yes. Absolutely.”
You smiled this time, relieved he would be leaving your siblings alone, and excited to learn more about him, about what he was really like under the bad boy shell, “Okay, friend.”
He just nodded at you, “I have to go now. See you at lessons with Tsireya tomorrow?”
“Of course.” You responded.
When you entered the marui again everyone's eyes were on you, a light blush on your face, “I made a friend.” You smiled.
You could see your parents cheering and clapping for you, but your siblings' faces were unsure, you would have to reassure them later but for now you were all having a family night, playing games and handing out things you had made for each other with the new resources you were getting used to using. They were clunky and awkward, but you would get better, it reminded you of something, of someone.
As days passed into weeks you and Ao’nung had grown closer, him pretty much taking over your lessons, stealing you away from Tsireya who was sad to see you go, but happy for her brother for making a friend, a real friend, not one of his goons that tended to hover around him at all times. You had seemingly broken down his bad boy aesthetic and his goons had since left him, moving onto another leader to follow, still as nasty as ever.
You were grateful for him letting his walls down around you, allowing you to see him, and soon you did. You saw him as more than you ever had before. You couldn’t help but think about courting him, of trading little handmade gifts, and sharing little intimate moments of happiness throughout the day.
It seemed as if he wanted the same as he began bringing you gifts, starting as a little armband he made from you out of hard to find shells he had spent many hours trying to find, then it moved onto necklaces and bracelets. Each was more intricate than the last.
When this started you began to bring him things too, poorly made things because using dried seaweed and palm leaves were different from the materials of the jungle, but you managed. Even though they weren’t the best quality he proudly wore them, gladly accepting every gift you would give.
Everyone had noticed by now, the traded jewelry, the touches that lingered a little too long, and the longing looks when you weren’t together. What baffled people most however was not Ao’nung’s seemingly peaceful side coming out, but the fact that neither of you had officially come out and asked if you were courting.
You were courting, you both knew that, but Ao’nung wanted to put it into words, he wanted to make it official, but he felt the need to fix a couple things first, to get a couple blessings.
So he went to the person he thought would be easiest first, your mom. She had seen you two from afar and already had talked to you about it, encouraging you to pursue him and get what you wanted. She had said she was not Tsahík, but Eywa had shown her signs. So when Ao’nung asked she immediately gave him her blessing, knowing this was something not just he wanted, but something you wanted too.
Then he went to your dad. He was a fierce warrior who commanded respect, and Ao’nung tried his best to be respectful, carefully wording his proposal of courting his daughter. Of course Jake had been hesitant at first, but eventually he caved after Ao’nung had mentioned he already had Neytiri’s blessing.
Finally he went to Neteyam, your twin brother, your best friend since birth. Neteyam was adamantly against it, wanting nothing to do with Ao’nung, and wanting his sister to have nothing to do with him either. He was still on the edge of forgiving Ao’nung, swaying over a cliff where falling meant forgiving Ao’nung for his wrong doings, and when Ao’nung explained his love for you, his intentions to never hurt you and treat you with the respect you deserve Neteyam fell over the cliff, giving the Metkayina boy his blessing.
Once he had gotten their blessings he had invited you to the beach where he had first intentionally seeked you out. You were hesitant to go back there with him, but you gave in, trusting him wholeheartedly.
You love him. You trust him. You see him.
When you got there he pulled you to sit down with him, you both facing each other, and he signed, letting his heart out, letting his feelings show, “I am sorry for any times I have hurt you. I was an ass and a fool, and I wish I had never caused you upset or harm. I am sorry for bullying your siblings too, they did not deserve it, but I was scared by the new people and what they would bring. I now see I should have helped like my sister. I should have been making you feel at home here, not doing the opposite.”
“It’s okay. We’re past that.” You reassured him.
He nodded, continuing, “Now I see how special you are. I see how much you’ve changed me and my views on life. I am grateful for the person you have shaped me into. I am grateful I got the chance to make it up to you. I want to court you. Officially.”
You felt your heart swell, butterflies in your stomach, and you were sure it was showing on your face, “I would love that.”
You moved your hands carefully to cup his face, holding it there as you looked into his eyes, hoping he understood how grateful you were for him too, then you pulled him in, lips brushing against each other before they fully made contact. It was magical, unlike anything you had felt before, and you were happy it was him making you feel this way. So happy, so loved.
When you pulled apart he smiled widely at you, grabbing your hands and giving them a gentle but tight squeeze before using them to say, “I see you. I see you.”
You sign your thoughts from earlier, “I love you, I trust you, I see you.”
He doesn’t say anything else, just smiles, and pulls you back in for another kiss, and you feel at peace. You know he is yours, and you are his. You know he will never leave you, and you will never leave him. You know he loves you, and you love him. You know he sees you, and you see him.

Good Enough: Dad!Jake Sully
Avatar Masterlist
word count: 1k
description: Once your father’s world, you start acting out when he starts ignoring you and only your father can figure out what is going on
Tumblr media
Jake and Neytiri were at loss, especially Jake he didn't understand what was going on with you lately and why you were acting out so much.  All you ever did anymore was talk back and argue with them, and they couldn't figure out why, usually Lo'ak was the problem child, not you. Today was the final straw when you snuck out to join the war party after Jake specifically told you to stay behind and watch Tuk and help with the wounded, something you clearly didn't agree with.
"Jesus, I let you two geniuses fly a mission and you disobey direct orders," he sighed. "Not to mention you almost got your sister killed!" He said to Neteyam and Lo'ak who you felt bad for, your dad was always so hard on them.
"I came on my own." You said rolling your eyes and making Jake whip his head in your direction.
"What did you say?" He asked.
"I said I.came.on.my.own. and that these two tried to get me to return home and I didn't listen to them, so if it's anyone's fault, it's mine." You said looking in dead in the eye as Jake was rendered speechless at you.
"I'll deal with you later." He said tiredly running a hand down his face.
"Yeah, it's always later with you." You mumbled as you left the tent and went to go see your grandmother so she could look at you.
After getting looked at by your grandma, you headed back to your tent hoping to get some sleep, making sure to avoid your father and how much he couldn't see how much you were hurting and that you were acting out to get his attention. You had been laying there silently crying when you heard your parents talking, probably assuming you were asleep.
"I don't know what I'm gonna do with her, I can't keep doing this." Your father said.
"Jake she's just going through something...l can try and talk to her." Your mother offered.
"I know she is....but why can't she be more like Neteyam or Kiri, you know?" He said breaking your heart as you realized you were never gonna be good enough for him.
"Ma Jake, don't talk like that...she is perfect just the way she is, sure her attitude could use some fixing but I still love her as the day she was born and so should you." Your mother said to him but it was too late as you knew how he truly felt.
You waited until everyone was asleep and decided to go for a night-time flight to clear your head and think about everything. You walked over to your Ikran and climbed on top of her before taking off.  After flying for a bit, you landed in a pasture and just relaxed trying to calm your thoughts wondering if one day you would be good enough for your father.
Jake was restless that night, hating that yours and his relationship were so strained, there used to be a day when you weren't seen without him and now you were practically strangers. He got up and went to check on you when he saw your tent empty making him worry as you and ikran were gone. He climbed on top of his and circled around looking for you or Ikran until he saw you both which he let out a sigh of relief.
"If you have come to yell at me or lecture me more, please go." You said not even looking at him which broke his heart.
"I haven't. Baby girl I just wanna figure out what's been going on with us lately?" He said taking a seat next to you.
"Why? It's not actually like you care." You said turning away from him and making him frown at your words.
"Hey talk to me. Where is this coming from?" He asked gently and even more worried.
"I heard what you said to mom about how you wish I was more like Kiri or Neteyam..Do you realize I've been acting out to get your attention because I don't feel good enough for you! You the one who trained me and yet you don't let me go out on missions but you'll tell Lo'ak of all people?? How am I supposed to feel when I'm told to sit here and take care of others when I know I could be out there helping you and mom?  You don't talk to me or have any time for me and I hate that so much, it's always later baby girl, or not now baby girl. I miss our relationship but it doesn't seem like you do." You said breaking down into tears as Jake sat there in shock at your words before moving towards you and gathering in his arms.
Jake held you in his arms gently rocking you as he tried to calm you down while he also processed your words, he never meant to make you feel that way, that you weren't good enough for him because you were if any of his children were a carbon copy of him, it was you. Once your breathing was back to normal he decided to speak.
"You are good enough for me more than...I never meant to make you feel like you weren't and I'm sorry that I did...when I have to stay back here with your sister and the others it's not because I don't believe in your abilities as a warrior, trust me I do...it's because I know that if something was to happen, they would have you to protect and defend them...I'm sorry I made you think I was doubting you or didn't believe in you because I do so much. I didn't realize that I had gotten so wrapped in the war party stuff and your brothers that I ignored you, it was never my intention. I hope you can forgive me, baby girl." He said.
"As long as you can forgive me for the way I've been acting." You said looking at him.
"Of course, what do you say tomorrow we spend the day together like we used to do?" He offered you.
"I would love that. I love you, dad." You said to him.
"I love you too baby girl." He said pressing a kiss to your forehead.

Dark!aonung who gets obsessed with shy & quiet reader. She is the daughter of 2 avatars (while in their avatars) but they didn't view her as theirs, since she was born to the avatars. The Sully's sorta took her in.
He bullies her like he did Kiri, enjoying when she gets all teary, but Aonung gets pissed when he finds some other Metkayina boys harassing her.
So he stakes his claim on her, so everyone knows she belongs to him.
Mine to tease
Adult Dark!Ao‘nung x female Sully reader
Tumblr media
Words: 4.2k
Summary: It’s one thing when Ao’nung bullies you. It’s a complete different thing when someone else dares to lay their hands on you.
Warnings: explicit smut, mean Ao’nung, shy / cry baby reader, enemies to lovers (kinda??), biting, super heavy dacryphilia (crying kink), bullying, obsessive behavior, harassment, rough oral sex (m receiving), come eating, reader probably has a huge degradation kink, praise kink, dub-con (idk about that I’m still adding it just in case)
Notes: this is super messy and the plot barely makes any sense because I wrote this with way too many breaks in between ugh I still hope you like it!! 🫣
Tumblr media
Ao’nung was obsessed, that much was pretty clear. Obsessed with you. In what way though, you didn’t know. Not yet, at least.
"Hey freak, where are you going?"
Your shoulders visibly tensed upon hearing this stupid nickname, not having to turn around to see who was calling you. Only one person ever called you like that anyways. It was either freak or cry baby… how suitable for you.
You began walking a little faster towards the beach, like you had intended to collect some shells for Tuk. Not wanting the said person to pester you so early in the morning, you tried not to pay him any attention. Unfortunately, that didn’t always work.
"Aww come on now, don't ignore me," a strong hand grabbed at your arm and turned you around, making you squeak. Now you could see him, just inches away from you and with a dark smirk plastered to his face.
Ao’nung obviously had a strange hobby of bullying and teasing you and your siblings ever since the day you set foot on his island. And while your brothers had finally gained some of his respect after their little fight, Ao’nung still didn’t ease up his teasing when it came to you. A part of you thought that the reason for this might be that you just didn’t had the guts to fight back like the others did. Well, you weren’t exactly wrong about that.
While Lo‘ak and Neteyam had their fists and Kiri had her smart mouth, all you could do was let it happen and try your best not to cry on spot. It was true, you were a cry baby. You‘ve just always been such a sensitive person, to shy to stand up for yourself. It was especially hard to keep your eyes from watering, when neither of your brothers were around to protect you from his mean words, since you often failed to do it yourself.
And it felt like Ao’nung was aiming for just that. He was always pushing you a little further than he did with your siblings, always following you around whenever he spotted you alone and teasing you over the simplest things. It wasn’t just your looks, not your extra finger or your slim tail. Everything that you did, while trying to blend in with the metkayina clan, was just another reason for him to laugh and call you names.
You really couldn’t help yourself with him. And there was this thing, like a sparkle in his eyes, whenever the tears started to dwell in your eyes and when your cheeks and the tip of your nose got all rosy. He would tower over you, watch the tears roll over your soft cheeks and the way you nervously chewed on your bottom lip and it was like something kindled in him. Yes, Ao’nung was definitely obsessed with you.
It didn’t help that you had this stupid little crush on him. Him of all people. You felt stupid to even think about him like that. And your siblings would probably drown you in the ocean without hesitation if they would ever find out you had eyes for the man that gave you such a hard time every second of the day. Why him? You didn’t know the answer to this yourself. You mostly blamed it on his looks– obviously his charming personality had nothing to do with that. It was unfortunate how stupidly attractive Ao’nung was, considering he was such an asshole. An asshole that enjoyed teasing you.
And that’s how it always went. Usually, it was just Ao’nung giving you a hard time. From time to time, but especially when your siblings were around, he was accompanied by some of his goons too, but they never spoke directly to you. It was always just him. Apart from that, none of the other villagers around your age had interacted with you in any way so far. They all seemingly avoided your family. At first you were a bit sad about that, longing to make some new friends within this clan. But you were also glad that no one else paid much attention to you. At least like this, you only had to deal with Ao‘nung and his dumb friends.
Well, that’s what you thought at first.
Words must have gotten around, probably Ao’nung bragging about how easy to tease you were, how funny it was to see you cry, because later that day, a new group of metkayina decided to show their sudden interest in your alien features.
"Look at that, she‘s getting all shy now", one of the men laughs spitefully as you try to hide your hands by crossing your arms over your chest. What was up with them today? This day hadn’t been long, but it had been so overwhelming already, as if your encounter with Ao’nung this morning wasn’t already enough for a day.
"We don’t bite, c‘mon show us your hands", another one chuckles and then reaches for your wrist. With a firm hold on your wrist he then waves your hand around for all of them to see and it’s just so humiliating. "Stop that", you protest as you yank your hand from his grip, "Don‘t touch me…" It comes out weaker than you intended, your voice already trembling. Where‘s Lo‘ak if you need him? He would’ve thrown a good punch at that asshole, silencing him once and for all.
"That’s so freaky", the third one grimaces and that finally gives you the rest. "Aw look, she’s crying! What a ba—" Whatever that guy wanted to say dies in his throat quicker than any of you can proceed. You look at them with furrowed brows and it seemed like a shadow casted over all of their faces. They looked… frightened?
Turning around to see what they were all staring at in such pure horror, you expected and honestly hoped for one of your brothers to be there. To your surprise, that wasn’t the case. No, it was in fact someone you would’ve least expected now. Could this day possibly get any worse?
With the way Ao’nung was towering behind you, glaring at them, one could mistake it as the possessiveness a man had over his mate. And you were painfully obliviously about that fact. But that’s exactly what these guys thought the olo’eyktan’s son was doing. They thought they must’ve mistaken the way they saw him treating you. Maybe he was courting for you all this time or it was just affectionately teasing? Whatever it was, they knew by the look of Ao’nungs face that they were walking on very thin ice right now.
"Back off", Ao’nung snarls without second thought, "Or I’ll make you."
"Sorry we, uhm, we didn’t know she‘s yours", the one that had yanked your hand up for them to make fun of apologized quickly.
What? Your gaze flicks back and forth between them, utterly confused about the whole situation. But Ao’nung is only staring them down, not even paying any attention to you.
With a few snickering glances in your direction, they all then finally leave the scene. Now that it was just you and Ao‘nung left on the shore, you took a deep, shuddering breath. Gathering all your courage to look at him, you mumbled a quiet, "Thank you."
Ao’nung then finally turns to you, as if he was only now acknowledging your presence. His eyes skim over your limbs as you stand there and it felt like he was judging you. Well, knowing him, he probably did. You mentally prepare yourself for him to continue where these guys had left, but nothing of that sort comes. Peeling his eyes off of your body, he spots your reddened eyes and the obvious tear streaks on your soft cheeks.
"Don’t let it get to your stupid head, you cry baby", he says ever so nonchalantly. You’re truly confused. One second he’s calling you names and making you feel the worst you’ve ever felt and the next second he’s acting like it’s his responsibility to protect you. Protect you, mind you that, from a bunch of guys that did the exact same thing he did –just this morning!
Blinking away the tears, you begin to frown again and for a second, a wave of confidence hits you. Its enough to speak out the question that’s lingering on your mind ever since he showed up.
"You bully me just as much as these guys did, so why protect me? You could’ve just…", you pause for a moment and sigh, "I don’t know, join them or whatever."
Ao’nung is silent for a moment, letting your words sink, before he finally responds, "Is that what you want? Want me to team up with these pricks so we can bully you together?" He scoffs, his arms now crossed over his chest and you visible tense at the reflection of your own words.
You couldn’t help but feel dumb, cursing yourself for your poor choice of words, because he was right. It definitely sounded like you wanted him to bully you. Great. Now he had one more reason to make fun of you. The freak that had a kink for getting treated like shit. Great mother, you prayed that’s not what he thought of you now. Lost in your thoughts and drowning in your own shame, you let your head hang low again, all confidence gone as quickly as it came. Trying to avoid his intense gaze, you begin to count every grain of sand below your feet, hoping he would just get bored and leave if you were quiet for long enough.
"You are mine. That’s why", Ao'nungs voice suddenly slices through the awkward silence and your eyes fly right back up to meet his own, "I won’t let any of these guys harass you ever again."
His.
The words hang heavy in the air.
"Wha– Why?", it bursts out of you before you can even think about it. You don’t even know what exactly you’re asking for or what answer you would’ve preferred here, but his response still catches you off guard.
"You’re cute like that. I like that face you make when I’m mean to you", there’s a sharp grin on his face and he shrugs, "kinda gets me going."
A look of puzzlement crosses your face and it’s not until Ao’nung tilts his head teasingly, that you realize you must’ve stared at him with a pretty funny expression. Embarrassment rushes to your ears, fills your cheeks with red and you quickly advert your gaze to the ground again, nervously biting on your lower lip. What should you say now? What should you do? The air around you is thick enough to cut it. It’s so uncomfortable, you can’t help but pray for the ground to open up and swallow you whole. You nervously shift your weight from one foot to another, fiddling with a loose string of your loincloth.
But Ao’nung says nothing. It’s the second time he’s silent in your presence and it’s so untypical of him, it makes you feel uneasy. It’s like he was waiting for you to respond, but what should you even say to him now? The embarrassment makes you feel dizzy and you start to chew on your lip harder. It’s a stupid habit your mom always told you not to do, not wanting for you to ruin your pretty lips. Well, it seemed like Ao’nung must’ve thought the same thing.
"If you bite your lip one more time I’m going to do it for you", he says, voice laced with what you guessed was annoyance and your eyes widen. Daring to look up at him through your lashes, a small, "Sorry", escapes you.
There it was. A cute little sorry. Ao’nung couldn’t help but scoff as his eyes roamed over your features once more. Now how was he supposed to hold back any longer, especially when you looked at him like that? Rosy cheeks and swollen lips and teary eyes. And on top of all, you apologized to him. It was like you were begging for him to make a move, but you didn’t even realize it.
Ahh, fuck it, he thought.
A smile spread over Ao’nungs own lips as he took a step closer and then reached out to cup your jaw and tilt your head up to meet his eyes. "What are you doing?", you gasp and the trembling in your voice travels down his spine like an electric shock.
"I told you I’ll make sure they won’t ever touch you again, didn’t I?"
His hold on your jaw is firm, as he tilts your head some more and leans down enough so his lips brush against your ear.
"You‘ll let me, don’t you?", satisfaction thrums through his veins when your entire frame jolts in his hold, "You‘ll let me mark you as mine and nobody will ever lay a hand on you ever again. Nobody but me, of course.” He licks the shell of your ear and you shudder, before he makes his way down the curve of your jaw, nipping the length of your neck.
“R-Right here?”, you whimper softly and Ao’nung chuckles. "So it’s a yes then?"
Before you can open your mouth to respond, Ao’nung leans in and gets his mouth on yours.
He can feel the tension under his hands melt away as he finally, finally bites down onto your bottom lip and deepens the kiss, earning a breathless moan that he gratefully swallows down. He hums against your mouth when he gets to suck on your tongue and you can’t help but stand up on your tip toes to meet his touch.
When he pulls away, so you could catch your breath, his dark gaze meets yours. You’re heaving and spit still connects your mouths in a thin string. The flush from your tears give way to the pinkish tint that spreads on your cheeks and nose, lips shiny from spit and bright red from all the biting. What a sight, he thought.
And your eyes, your pretty fucking eyes, they’re still slightly wet from crying, pupils blown and taking over his gaze, hazy yet completely focused on him. They stare so deeply into his own and if he looks attentively, he can see his image reflected in stark black. There’s a glint of innocence and shyness behind it, but above it all, your big eyes spell adoration towards any and everything. You really wouldn’t hurt a fly and that, that makes power rush through his entire body and fills his mind with thoughts of swelling these pretty eyes with tears as they look up to him.
Brushing a few braided strands of hair over your delicate shoulder, he places a kiss to your soft skin. He enjoys the way your breathing hitches when he lets his canine graze over your collarbone and where he left wet kisses earlier, he then suddenly bites down. You gasp, feeling his sharp teeth almost pierce your skin, while Ao’nung contently hums against your flesh. You know the bite marks are going to bruise, but that’s exactly what he was intending here. He wanted them to be seen. He really did put his mark on you, just like he said.
"Get on your knees for me", Ao’nung then whispers against your neck, from where he can feel your throat swallowing.
"W-Why?", you stutter, his sudden command taking you aback. He straightens to look at you properly and with a smug grin on his face, he tilts his head. He’s seemingly amused that you wanted him say it out loud.
"I said I’ll mark you as mine. And I’ll do it in every way I can think of."
At his words, you feel a completely new wave of arousal pool between your legs and you don’t even hide the excited little smile, coyly appearing on your lips.
Stepping back, he lets you kneel down, his hand moving to caress the back of your head, watching as you eagerly lean into his touch and let your eyes flutter close for just a moment. "Good girl”, Ao’nung coos, watching the red blush across your cheeks become even darker. "You’re so pretty like this. Who would’ve through, hm?"
Feeling heat build up in your core at his unexpected compliment, you squeeze your thighs together and sit on your heels to keep looking up at him. The anticipation behind your teary eyes went straight to his painfully hard cock, already straining his loincloth. Ao’nung inhales a breath to steady his racing heart as he slides his thumb against your bottom lip, urging you to relax your jaw. He slides his digit in once you open your mouth, pressing his finger against your wet tongue. His eyes are transfixed on the wetness of tears that are still present at the corners of your eyes.
"I‘m probably more of a freak than you are", he chuckles, making you frown a little, much to his amusement. Ao’nung can feel the wetness of your saliva gliding down your chin and staining his hand, sliding in between his fingers. He changes the single thumb to his index and middle finger and presses down on your tongue, hard enough to make you open you mouth wider. "You look so fucking good like that", Ao’nung mumbles, more to himself, "You have no idea how much you turn me on." He shoves his fingers as deep as he can manage, feeling the way your throat spasms, gagging to accommodate them as your eyes fill up with tears again from the effort.
God this was going to kill him.
"There it is", he says lowly, "Such a pretty girl and all for me, hm?" Your face flushes redder. Ao’nung then retracts his fingers just a bit, watching with half lidded eyes as you suck on his fingertips before allowing them to leave.
He’s quick to undo his loincloth, taking his achingly hard cock in hand before he nudges the tip against your plump lips. "Come on, wet it for me."
He watches you lick your bottom lip before taking hold of his cock, sticking out your tongue to lick the underside of his cock and then suckle on his fat tip like it’s a candy. Ao’nung lets your kitten licks wet his cock, teasing the slit and making him leak into your open mouth.
Your eyes flutter close but then he grabs a fistful of your hair and gently tugs. "Eyes on me. I wanna see your pretty face," he commands. You nod from your position and then slowly start to take his length deeper into your mouth.
Ao’nung groans at the feeling and he can’t help but thrust his hips forward, forcing you to take just a few more inches of him. It earns himself a moan that reverberates on his cock, making him hiss. His dilated pupils spell satisfaction from making you react and these are the final nails on the coffin that drive him to his next move.
"I’m gonna fuck that pretty face of yours", his voice is low and strained and he doesn’t miss the way you clench your thighs together at his words. "Just tap my leg if you wanna stop, okay?" Again, you nod as best as you can.
You barely have the time to blink before your head is pushed into his crotch and your throat is completely filled with his cock.
"Oh fuuck", Ao’nung curses as he holds your head there for just a couple of seconds. You quickly find purchase by grabbing his thick thighs, keeping your gaze fixed on his blue eyes that look down on you with such a ravenous expression that it makes your whole frame shiver.
You could hear the squelching sounds from the wetness built up inside your mouth as Ao’nung begins to thrust into your mouth over and over again. You couldn’t really concentrate on breathing through your nose and the way his cock was hitting the back of your throat repeatedly brought you painfully close to gagging. Your eyes immediately begin to tear up, but you still try your best to take him.
"That’s it, ah- fuuck, fuck your mouth feels amazing!" He shoves your head down on his cock again, watching your eyelid flutter, the tears he’s been so fixated on clinging to the corner of your eyes and daring to spill over.
"If I knew how fucking good you are at this, i would’ve done this sooner", he chuckles. Your throat tightens and throbs around his cock, your eyes not leaving his, even as the first tears finally streak down your face– so pretty, small and vulnerable. Just like you.
"You’re gorgeous when you cry, you know?"
Ao’nungs cock thrusts into your mouth just a little faster, your spit mixed with his salty pre-cum begins to leak out from the corner of your mouth as he moves and it dribbles down your chin and onto your cleavage.
"Such a pretty mess", he groans at the sight.
Your vision is blurring from the tears that swell up in your eyes and you don’t know for much longer you‘ll be able to keep it up without breathing, your chest already spasming and craving for air so you give a gentle tap on his thigh. Ao’nungs grip on your hair eases up and he steps back to retreat his cock from your mouth. Instantly, you inhale a sharp breathe, filling your lungs with some much needed air before you begin to cough.
Ao‘nung grins as he crouches down to be eye level with you, taking your face in his big hands before he says, "You know you’re mine, right? And I‘m the only one who gets to see you like this."
"Y-Yes, yes of course", you tell him nodding and then he leans in to capture you in another deep kiss. His tongue curls around yours and there’s just something so insanely hot about the fact that he could probably taste himself on your tongue. It’s a quick kiss and you desperately chase his lips when he breaks it to stand up straight again. "Good. Now open wide, pretty. I‘m not done with you yet", he smiles and you eagerly obey his command.
One of his hands is right back in your hair again as he slides his cock back in your mouth. He hums at the warm heat surrounding him once again and you can feel him twitch, his cock laying heavy on your tongue. You can’t help but gag when he thrusts forward not even seconds later, holding your head firm against his crotch and keeping it there.
He allows you a few second to adjust to him, before he begins to pick up his pace, fucking your throat hard and fast. You feel dizzy and for a moment you don’t even register how loud you are– moaning around his cock, mixed with the squelching sounds of spit and pre-cum spilling over the corner of your mouth as he brings himself closer to the edge, using your mouth like it’s just a little fuck toy to him, recklessly seeking his own pleasure.
Your head is spinning like you’re about to pass out, but you could feel that he was close, his cock throbbing in the depths of your throat, almost blocking any oxygen from reaching your poor lungs. Distantly, you can feel new streams of tears running down your cheeks.
Ao’nungs gaze is entirely fixed on yours and you feels the smallest you’ve ever been, as if you’re about to be eaten up— and you absolutely love it. It’s a shame to admit, but you love how he’s using you. Love how he makes you feel, love how he gets off from the look of your face and you love how he looks at you, like you’re his. Because you are.
At the same time, Ao‘nung thinks of how hoarse your voice will sound tomorrow and how the phantom weight of his cock on your tongue will come back every time you will talk. Everyone will know that you belong to him. They will see his marks on your body, they will hear you voice and they will know.
The sheer thought of him fucking your tight little pussy next, in the same intensity as he was fucking your throat right now, is what finally gets his hips twitching. He holds you still as he cums, cock buried to the hilt in your mouth as you feel him fill you. "Ah f-fuck, there you go. Make sure you swallow it all, yeah?", he groans above you, but his cum, warm and sticky like syrup, runs down your throat without having to swallow, thanks to how far deep he was nestled in your mouth.
"Holy shit", Ao’nungs heaves a breathless chuckle once he had emptied even the last drop of his seed down your throat. The hold on the back of your head then slowly fades into gentle caresses, circle-like movements guiding your neck into relaxation before he steps back and you gasp for air once again. "You did so fucking good", he coos and his thumb swipes over your bottom lip to clean it from any remaining spit. "But I‘ll make you feel so much better now. Like I said, I‘m gonna mark you in every way that I can think of. So lay down and spread those pretty legs for me, yes?"

I ! Feels like we had matching wounds, but mine's still black and bruised (and yours is perfectly fine now.)
✎ Synopsis ! You've been thrusted to carry the burden of the eldest after his passing.
Content & warning: Jake sully x Daughter!Reader, Sully kids x Sister!Reader Neytiri x Daughter!Reader. Mentions of death and violence! Purely angst, at least for this chapter. Neteyam dies in the forest (the scene were quaritch first holds everyone hostage) I will not be following his storyline, because that's for you to take 🫵🫵🫵 buckle up.
Song: The Exit, Conan Gray.
Tumblr media
You stay with the ikrans.
Neteyam stepped forward without hesitation, stomach in knots with anxiety. “Father, I’m a warrior. I’m supposed to fight.”
“I need you here,” he cut through his attempt to follow, nostrils flaring and jaw locked. There was no room for negotiation with the authority that laced his tone. “I need you to listen when I say you stay here.” he jabbed his finger on his chest, sealing him stiffly on the spot. The seconds seemed to hang in the air like lead weights, and any moment lost was an opportunity for danger to strike– he could only thin his lips and sharply nod.
“I mean it, Neteyam.”
Such a simple ask of his father could have spared him from the rage of war, but how could you not expect the eldest to fight when his very siblings were in danger? Jake should have known better than to trust the empty ‘yes sir’ off his son’s lips– a warrior born out of his own teachings. You couldn’t blame him for following suit the second his parents were out of sight and into the wild.
How did it get to this? Jake’s thoughts would drift every painful step he took further. He knew it was in Lo’ak’s nature to be so reckless, hell, he took after his father himself– but before him, Kiri, or Tuk, it was just you and Neteyam.
Tumblr media
He remembered feeling ecstasy tremble down his whole body when he first cradled Neteyam. The moment the olo’eyktan had presented him to the clan, carrying him for everyone to see, he couldn’t see his son himself with the unshed tears blurring his vision. A part of him was relieved that he took after his mother, thinking it would have been a handful dealing with another Jake– but perhaps it was just a ploy; a first born’s excellence that they soon yearned for another.
Then you came, another splitting image of Neytiri. The people often mistook you and Neteyam for twins and she’d reveled in the praises you both would get. You were her first daughter— right from the ear-splitting cries you let out the moment you were out of your mother’s womb to the battle cries you had worked on earlier in years, mimicked from Neytiri herself, she always swelled in pride. Unlike the eldest’s reserved composure, you were the opposite; curious and buoyant, yet still as shy and collected.
It was different with Jake; he was new to this— absolutely clueless and terrified. After you came, the jolt wasn’t similar to Neteyam’s;  you were also his first babygirl. He wondered if he held you correctly, if the natural strictness he had with his son was fitting for you– oh Eywa, he definitely had to relearn weaving with Neytiri. The profound hesitation when it came to you was nerve-wracking, but the way your little hand would make its way around your father’s finger every time would ease the tight crease between his eyebrows, almost like you knew his very troubles.
You were the kindest, most sweetest child– a daddy’s girl, much to Neytiri’s complaints.
“Neteyam, scooch!” You yelled in a whisper, trying to desperately hide yourself in thick leaves and bushes. He couldn’t stifle his little giggles either, hearts pumping wildly in anticipation of your father. “Once he comes, remember to run left, alright?”
He nodded sharply. His face coated in mud in the guise of war paint that you drew yourself. Yours were drawn lousily, the strokes shaky and a mess.
Fee-fi-fo-fum, he chanted thickly, growing deeper and louder every stomp! The children could see him between the gaps— hands clawed and raised, stance menacing. You can run but you can’t hide!
Both of you shrunk in suspense, eager to best your father in playtime.
Then it was silent. Too silent. Your ears lifted curiously, eyes scanning the area only to be greeted by your father parting the leaves and surprising you both. You squealed a run and bolted to the right. Not even a second later, you heard the own panting of your twin beside you. You stared at him incredulously, legs faltering a bit, “Neteyam, I told you to go left!”
“This is left!”
“No, I’m right—! This is right, you skxawng!”
Amidst your silly bickering, Jake cunningly captured Neteyam, grabbing him from the armpits and hoisting him up high into the air. You could hear your brother’s laughter growing louder as Jake blew raspberries on his stomach, pretend-eating him with loud munches– his toothless bites making the younger’s giddiness double in size. You shrieked and sprinted faster, making a beeline to a different direction. This monster’s more unmerciful than you thought! With a determined look, you stopped behind a tree. I have to save Neteyam!
“One down and another to go!” You heard your father roar again, your brother giggling as he trailed along his heavy steps.
You threw a rock as hard as you can, shifting Jake’s attention to the noise, and before he knew it, you came running towards him, thick long vine in your hands as you lousily tied it around your father’s ankles. Neteyam shouts in victory, trying to tighten the bind. Jake could only stifle a laugh at the scene, trying not to soil the satisfaction that was evident in your smug smile. He dropped to the floor, “Oh no! You got me!”
“Toruk Makto my ass!” You got on top of him, slapping his chest down with your little hands. Jake shouts a ‘hey’ at your language, which you only sheepishly giggled in return. Neteyam parrots from behind, still holding onto his legs.
“We’re Toruk Makto now!”
Tumblr media
The memory would have easily put a smile on his face– ease his heart even a little bit, but the severity of the situation pulled him back and immediately, he was back in marine-mode, hands gripping onto the gun tightly. The moment they saw distress among the group with the green gas enveloping where his children were, they made a move.
The dreamwalkers felt a searing burn in their nostrils as the dense gas engulfed the area, the pain shooting up their visions. Your captor had a vice-like grip on you, dragging your body with him as you watched the others scramble in distress. He tugged painfully on your hair, forcing you to hiss and jab your nails into any exposed skin you could claw on. A headache throbbed at the back of your skull like an incessant drumbeat; you needed to think fast. With a sprained ankle, you knew you couldn’t get far.
Before you could even muster enough breath to scream for help, an arrow hit the avatar straight in the nape and dropped to the ground dead. You limped backwards, seeking an escape route, when suddenly someone grabbed your shoulders and pushed you against the rough tree bark. You body trembled, hitting whoever it was on their chest in an attempt to break free. But all efforts were futile as they held onto you tightly, shaking you vigorously.
“Sis, it’s me– you’re safe,” His hands traveled around your body to check for any serious wounds. The sound of his voice brought a sense of relief over you; your brother's caring demeanor enough to make you feel at ease and secure. Your face softens, “Are you hurt anywhere?” Neteyam anxiously asked, trying to get a hold of you.
“Ankle,” You exhaled, feeling the sharp pain shoot up again, “I sprained my ankle.”
He looked around, making out a path to safety. When he manages to form a plan inside his mind, he carries you like a princess, arms securely around your waist and under your legs. Neteyam ran face-first into the battlefield, making sharp turns whenever necessary to evade any incoming bullets. With no bows or means of retaliation, you were both defenseless. You could only grab tighter as your heart hammered tightly on your throat.
“Na’vi!” Neteyam stops dead in his tracks, an expression akin to a deer caught in headlights.
“Please, we just want to go home” Neteyam begged, his voice barely higher than a whisper. The light of the eclipse illuminated his features, and he instinctively pulled you closer to him as he took a few steps back. You could feel his exhaustion both physically and emotionally; a weariness that seemed so out of place on such a young soul. Everywhere around you was utter stillness- you couldn’t breathe, the tension in the air heavy and stifling.
“I’m sorry,” And before your brother could grab the dagger tucked to his loincloth, the avatar fired her gun towards you both as Neteyam thrashed in panic, throwing your beaten body to the side as he rolled off somewhere. The dreamwalker quickly towers over you and you could only close your eyes shut, waiting for cruel death. In a blink of an eye, her body drops dead and Lo’ak immediately rushes to your aid.
Only then did you feel the searing pain in your leg, the sensation of a bullet wound as hot blood slowly oozed out. It was nauseating, the smell of iron and the redness of it. Your eyes widened in realization as you clung to your younger brother, “Neteyam! Did you find Neteyam?”
Lo'ak hurriedly hoisted you up and with sheer adrenaline, you limped to the other side, searching for your brother. Your eyes darted to his body, stiffly lying on the grass and breathing shallowly. You couldn't bear to look at the blood that stained his abdomen; it was a sight you wish to never see, ever.
“Oh, Neteyam,” You shakily put pressure on the bullet wound, only for him to violently grab both of your wrists and desperately claw at it. You could only scream aloud as the blood spilled out more and more as he writhed and struggled. “I know, I know, I know, I know– please, please just stay still.” Your words came out as a disgusting croaking slur, tears unable to keep themselves at bay.
“__, I don’t want to die yet.” He cried out as you tried to keep your hold firm, “Father—father had asked me to stay, but I couldn’t. I couldn’t stay there and wait. I.. I don’t want to see his face when he realizes I didn’t listen-- that I failed him again. __ save me, please.”
He said hurriedly, breathing heavily every word. Save Neteyam, save Neteyam.
His jaw clenched violently, spit bubbling the corners of his mouth as he grabbed onto you tightly. The noises he let out had tugged on your every heart string, snapping it over and over. He struggled in your arms, pupils blown wide and teary. “Please great mother, not my brother, not like this– Lo’ak help me!” Your head sharply turned to his unmoving figure, eyes darted to you and Neteyam. You cradled him close, not minding the crimson cot coating your own body.
You were unable to think and you had your own wounds that needed to be tended to, but you couldn’t be bothered to put him down– to accept his already fleeting breath would soon be none. You kissed his temple, rocking his body. “I’m here, I’m here Neteyam.”
“I don’t want to die,” his eyes averted to the incoming figure behind you and he drew a harsher inhale. your father had pushed you aside to aid Neteyam, immediately checking for an exit wound. He was met with a loud cry, squirming uncontrollably from Jake’s sharp movements. When he saw blood gushing out the same on the back, his shoulders slumped in defeat as he let out a sob.
Jake put pressure on it nonetheless. “It’s okay, it’s okay.”
“Sir, I’m sorry,” His words slurred together desperately, reducing to nothing but whimpers. Your lungs deny you of any more air as you watched him struggle— even in the brink of death, he had the need to apologize. Apologize for things that wasn’t even his fault, for things that was beyond his control. You kneeled just behind your father, gaze moving between Neteyam’s body and your bloodied palms. “I’m s-sorry, please don’t be mad.”
How he addressed Jake had only weakened his already beaten heart. “Save your breath, son, please.”
Everything seems to remain still for a minute, then came the shriek of your mother. You stayed there, almost lifeless yourself. You didn’t wanna see; didn’t wanna see how Neteyam’s body is limp under your father’s hold— how his eyes falls crestfallen and void of any emotion. Your siblings watch as Neytiri litters her first born with kisses, how she embraces every skin she can touch closer to her. “Not my son, eywa please.”
Eywa had granted him rest in its worst kind.
When he died, the same bullets went through you and it remained situated there, gnawing your insides and pounding it to mush, eating everything it can and rotting your entirety to an ugly void of a shell. It was getting heavier; his body soundly resting above the delicately woven cloth, carried by his mourning family. You could feel your feet sinking down the very soil you stepped on and you visibly faltered every move.
His cold hand gripping tightly around your wrist, his blood drawn between the lines of your palms— your soul was left to relive that night in a loop, scream bellowing until nothing was let out but breathy weeps of what was left of you.
It was bound to happen; death loomed and you dare played with it nonetheless. You should have known better than to let Lo'ak wander, let alone join him.
You stopped walking, changing everyone's solemn looks to a confused one. “Father, I can’t do it.” You whispered.
He remained tight-lipped, staring at you solidly that you could hardly decipher his expression. Jake was never one for emotions; it was as if he was programmed to tuck everything that made him feel under a gun's trigger– it was the soldier in him, finding it easier to be calm with a weapon nearby, but right now he was absolutely defenseless; stripped bare and vulnerable and he hated every moment of it; resented the fact that he failed protecting everyone, not just as clan leader, but as a father too. The latter weighed more than anything else. It dulled him to dysfunction and he could barely breathe– could barely recognize his daughter in front of him.
You took his stare differently, a cold-shoulder. Before Neytiri could approach your figure, you ran; away from the voices and guilt, away from him. Neteyam’s blood burns brightly on your very hands and you’ve swallowed down the blame, forever residing within you.
You buried something so alive and you feared it would never let you rest.

☆ mauve here! i now introduce a new series of mine that i am so excited to work on. (i know i said i'd be inactive, but i couldn't help but finish this one draft) neteyam's dying scene is heavily inspired by the game, the last of us! this feels rushed, but i needed an opening to start the series so rest assured, there would be lengthier pieces after. criticisms are welcome. feel free to point out any mistakes. mauve out >:]

Neteyam x Mute!reader - mesmerising
Tumblr media
Could I request Neteyam x Mute!Reader. Maybe they're a well-respected hunter and known for their gentle touches with the Ilu and the Tsurak. Maybe Neteyam sees them while he's learning and asks Tsireya who they are - Anon💜
A/N: sign language will be in bold
Tsireya was leading Neteyam to the water and that’s when he first noticed you, standing waist deep in the water as your hands gently moved over the head of a small IIu.
He stopped walking and focused on you instead, which is what caught Tsireya’s attention.
She followed his gaze and smiled a little as she walked over, standing next to him.
“Our best Hunter.” She said.
Neteyam snapped his head to the woman beside him, scrunching his brows a little in confusion.
He flicked his eyes back to you for a second before turning his attention fully to the na’vi who was supposed to be teaching him about the way of the water.
“That is (Y/N), they are our best Hunter. Respect by all Metkayina. The people trust them.”
Neteyam nodded his head as he turned his attention back to you.
You walked through the water with ease, tail swishing behind you as you approached another IIu, touching its head, giving a small bow before you moved past to greet some more.
“What’re they doing?”
“They are checking on the IIu, making sure they are well and happy. (Y/N) has a strong soul, deep spiritual connection to the land and the animals.”
Neteyam nodded his head again.
He was captivated by you, and as Tsireya looked at him she couldn’t help but smile at the look of pure amazement on his face.
He looked at you as if he had never seen such a na’vi before, as if he had never seen anything so beautiful, so absolutely perfect he was scared if he took his eyes away from a second you would vanish.
“You wish to know more?” Tsireya asked.
“Yes…” he breathed out.
“Come. Come.”
She quickly grabbed his hand and they jumped back on to the walkway, and she took him to the edge, looking out upon the water you were walking in.
You approached a Tsurak and he panicked.
“We have to stop them! They’re going to get hurt!”
“Wait, just watch.”
He stopped himself from rushing forward and watched you carefully.
The Tsurak didn’t seem happy about you approaching, and it swam around you in circles, but you stood there, hands in the water.
After a tense moment, it slowly swam over and touched your hand, poking its head out of the water enough for you to brush your fingers over its skin.
You bowed your head at it before letting it go.
You looked to the sky for a moment before you dived into that water as with that you were gone.
“They will be hunting now, only (Y/N) and a few of the men go behind the reef.”
“Aren’t they a bit young to be a hunter?”
Neteyam knew each tribe did things different, but from what he saw there was no way you could’ve been much older than him.
Hell, he was sure you could’ve been at least a year younger than him.
Tsireya just laughed at him and shook her head.
“No, no. They received the title of hunter earlier yes. But a hunter like them is only born ever couple of hundred years, no one has seen such elegant hunting before.”
Neteyam wanted to learn everything he could about you.
“Can I meet them?” He asked nervously.
“I can’t see why not. Do you remember the sign language we taught you?” She asked.
He nodded his head confused.
“Great, you’ll need it. Now let’s go, you still have a lot to learn if you wish to be Metkayina.”
Neteyam tried to focus on his lesson, but he couldn’t, he was so focused on you. He couldn’t shake you from his mind.
He finished his training early, and you still had yet to come home, so he spent his time with his brother and sisters, sitting outside the hut waiting your return.
“You’re looking eager.” Kiri said.
“Oh yeah, he’s smitten for someone!” Lo’ak laughed.
“Neteyam has a crush!” Tuk laughed.
Neytiri was standing behind them a small smile on her face as she looked at her youngest children poking fun at their older brother.
Walking over, she crouched down next to him as the three ran away laughing to themselves.
“So who is it?” She whispered.
“Mom.” He sighed.
“Come now, I will find out eventually.”
Neteyam knew his mother was right, so he sighed and looked back over the water and that’s when he was you riding back, hauling a large next on your back.
Neytiri followed her sons gaze and smiled a little.
“A good hunter.”
He hummed and nodded, quickly standing up.
“See you later!”
He jogged away, following wherever you were going to before he lost sight of you.
Neteyam thought he had lost you, but when he jumped down in to the sand he saw you patting the head of your IIu.
A few of the tribe were standing around waiting, and you set the net on the ground, crouching down you held your hand out.
Neteyam stood nearby, watching as you out fish in peoples baskets, they thanked you and let the next person go.
By the time you were done, the sun was starting to set, and Neteyam took that as his chance to approach you.
“Hey.. Uhm.. hi…” he smiled.
You looked up, holding your hand out to him and he titled his he’s sun confusion and you did the same.
“I uh.. I don’t have a basket?”
You stood up, looking at him.
Are you not here for fish?
Neteyam blinked, your hands moved too fast for his eyes, he was still only learning so sometimes he struggled to understand what was being said to him.
“I’m sorry can you repeat that? I’m still learning.” He laughed nervously.
God, he wanted to make a good impression on you and here he was making an absolute fool out of himself.
Are you not here for fish?
This time he was able to understand what you said to him and he shook his head.
“No, sorry if I confused you. I actually wanted to get to know you if that’s okay?”
You smiled and nodded your head, gesturing for him to follow you so he did.
You walked around, handing out some more fish until you only had a few left and you took it to an empty hut and set it down.
Sitting down, you gestured for him to do the same thing.
You were with Tsireya earlier right?
“Yeah I was, you saw me?” He asked.
His tail swished a little in happiness at the thought of you spotting him as well, and he watched as you started to cut up the fish.
You nodded and set the blade down, looking up at him.
I am a hunter, I see all. What’s your name?
“Right! I’m Neteyam!”
He grinned and you smiled back, and he felt his heart stop a little at the soft smile.
You already know my name. Why did you want to talk?
He awkwardly looked away, trying to figure out what to say. He could either tell the truth, or come up with some complete lie. And that sounded like the better option.
“I heard you were the best hunter. I’m learning to be a hunter, I was wondering if you could help teach me?”
You put the fish in the pot above the fire and added a few more things before turning to him.
Yes, I can teach you. But I teach differently to others.
“That’s cool!”
You nodded your head and your ears flickered a little as you heard a series a short calls.
His ears flickered as well and he looked behind him before turning back to you with a smile.
“Sorry I have to go, can I see you tomorrow?”
I will find you.
He grinned brightly and nodded, getting up he jogged away, his thoughts absolutely consumed by you and all the questions and all the things he wanted to learn about you.
You were a mystery to him, and if there’s on thing Neteyam loved doing, it was solving mysterious

Hii could I ask a request for Lo’ak or Neteyam with a shy Na’vi reader?
Tumblr media
𝓓𝓮𝓼𝓬𝓻𝓲𝓹𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷/𝓭𝓮𝓽𝓪𝓲𝓵𝓼/ 𝓼𝔂𝓷𝓸𝓹𝓼𝓲𝓼
Neteyam Sully x Fem!omaticaya! shy!reader.
Y/n was always a shy person. Growing up a war orphan, being raised alongside the sully kids, forging a bond and finding a plantonic soulmate within Lo’ak, a sisterhood rooted with Kiri and Tuk, a somewhat chaotic friendship with spider, She finds herself on a winding path of romance with the eldest sully brother….
Disclaimers:
Mentions of parent death, undiagnosed social anxiety, mentions of fear, panic attacks, nightmares,
Tooth rotting fluff.
Spider and Lo’ak being ‘y/n protectors’
Neteyam wanting to strangle them for it. Kiri being a crystal girlie. Tuk being a menace.
(This is not proofread or edited and was written on a phone.)
.𖥔 ݁ ˖☾𖤓.𖥔 ݁ ˖.𖥔 ݁ ˖☾𖤓.𖥔 ݁ ˖.𖥔 ݁ ˖☾𖤓.𖥔 ݁ .𖥔 ݁ ˖☾𖤓.𖥔 ݁ ˖.𖥔 ݁ ˖☾𖤓.𖥔 ݁ ˖.𖥔 ݁ ˖☾𖤓.𖥔 ݁ ˖
Trust is a fragile thing. And most protect fragile things.
Sometimes, trust struggles to cross borders where shadows of regret and heartache dwell.
Sometimes we are held back, and our fears lapse until we are nothing more than lingering whispers in oblivion.
Y/n wasn’t a fragile thing.
At least, that’s what Jake convinced himself.
Jake Sully never saw himself as a father.
Yet again, he never saw himself as 8 ft and blue either.
But I suppose sometimes we don’t find what we are looking for. We find something far deeper.
When Jake had his children, he was able to heal some of the scars of the past, some of history’s cruel rhyme schemes. Lapsing glimpses of the ones he had lost.
Watch a new life grow, vibrant with color from the gray-stained past.
When Neytiri lost Tsu’tey, one of her closest friends and allies, it was like losing a brother. Sometimes soulmates are siblings, where others saw a replacement, a place holder for the sister she had lost, she saw Tsu’tey. The closest thing to a brother she would ever know.
Tsu’tey’s mate, Säyaron, the sole survivor of the couple, became pregnant a short while after Neytiri.
Losing the child’s father, a detrimental dent in the woman’s life.
Säyaron was a fierce woman.
Chasing waterfalls and leaping over fire pits for the thrill.
Everything made of revenge and fire coursing through her veins. Säyaron was a creature of habit. Like Neytiri, an archer. The finest of aim, the deadliest of gazes. A woman with lightning under her skin, her fingertips lingering the softest of touches in which she only reserved for her child.
Säyaron became ill, shortly after Y/N turned 3.
Recovery was impossible. Säyaron’s daughter was placed in the hands of her people to raise. The omaticaya was entrusted to guide her.
Neytiri and Jake made a promise to themselves that they would honor Tsu’tey, and Säyaron’s legacy and many following, looking after this child as one of their own.
Th3 bravest of warriors deserve honorable epilogues.
☼.⋆。𖦹 °˖☼.⋆。𖦹 °˖☼.⋆。𖦹 °˖☼.⋆。𖦹 °˖
But have no fear.
Where an epilogue begins, a second story surely follows.
Y/n was born a few months after Neteyam.
Raised alongside the Sully children, Y/n was a rather quiet little one.
Y/n often dwelled herself with Norm’s bunch. The war orphaned children he ‘adopted’ soon after the battle of the hallelujah mountains, Spider included.
Although, Y/n wasn’t one for crowds.
Her shyness built herself a barrier from others, and sometimes a rather strong one at that.
She fared well with Lo’ak, Kiri, even Spider. But outside of the small circle of sully’s, her attamepts at socializing seemed to lapse over dead ends, to no avail.
But she wasn’t fragile.
No. Fragile wasn’t the right word.
Soft?
No. Soft is for objects.
Poor thing would even flinch when Jake would drop something, or when little Tuk would start wailing during her infantry years.
.𖥔 ݁ ˖☾𖤓.𖥔 ݁ ˖.𖥔 ݁ ˖☾𖤓.𖥔 ݁ ˖.𖥔 ݁ ˖☾𖤓.𖥔 ݁ ˖
“Shhhh…ma’prrnen…”
Neytiri cooed, scooping up Tuk from her tiny woven made carrier.
Y/n peaked out from behind the small bow holder, sat perched was a couple hunting spears and the bow that was formerly eytukans.
Neytiri smiles at the child.
“Y/n, would you like to hold her?”
Neytiri reached her free arm out, motioning the little one over.
Neytiri hadn’t adopted y/n, not to the same degree of officialness as Kiri.
But the little one was still one of her children. Under her care, her love, her guidance.
Y/n froze up. Her tail twitched, her ears pin back, she shook her head and scurried away. Slinking back into the corner hooded by the shadows.
.𖥔 ݁ ˖☾𖤓.𖥔 ݁ ˖.𖥔 ݁ ˖☾𖤓.𖥔 ݁ ˖.𖥔 ݁ ˖☾𖤓.𖥔 ݁ ˖
Jake looked after Y/n like a daughter.
Holding her small hand within his whenever the family traveled, keeping her close, his eyes lingering on her for just a beat longer whenever Lo’ak dragged her off to play some stupid game.
Children aren’t perfect.
Of course, if there’s one thing Jake has learned from becoming one of the people, it’s that na’vi are significantly better people than humans. Smarter, that’s for one. Their fingertips stained with the brown dirt of the great mother’s skin instead of the oil that rusted off of the RDA machines.
Na’vi may not be human, but they are still people.
Imperfect, flawed creatures at times.
When he first met Neytiri, he had no knowledge of this. Blinded by the beautiful, towering azure-skinned goddess she appeared as, who fancied herself Cupid, striking an arrow through his heart in all the wrong places.
As he learned, as he grew, he realized that Na’vi weren’t aliens at all.
Children still bickered over toys and petty games, teenagers still gossiped over who wore the feathered top better, or who hunted the most game, who was to be mated first, and last.
Jake’s children were typical examples of this.
“Why should I let you have it?!”
“I had it first!”
“Did not!”
“Did too!”
“Lo’ak you liar!”
Jake sighed, rubbing his fingers against his temples, hitting the pressure points Mo’at taught him about, attempting to soothe the headache that brewed.
Ah, the joy of children.
He glanced over at Lo’ak and Kiri, the trouble twins, as Jake called them.
Lo’ak, the spawn of recklessness in every form.
Boyish as the word comes, you find sensitivity, if you turn him over, backwards and then upside down again, and graze your fingertips over the right edges.
Or in his case, one fingertips too many.
And Kiri, a mysterious creation. Who’s heart beats with the rhythm of eywa’s pulse. Who’s eyes longed for otherness.
Things that grew beyond the edge of her grasp. Beautifully out of place.
He peered down at Y/n, who had perched herself next to him. A feather top covered her chest, similar to the one Kiri wore., handmade by Neytiri.
Her hair, a dark void of charcoaled honey brown, small beads adorned the shoulder length braids.
Jake sighed, running a hand along her back.
“What are we gonna do with them, babygirl, hm?”
Y/ns ears perked up, looking up from the small flower stems she was braiding.
Y/n was a shadow.
Slipping into backgrounds, the darkness in small corners and shades of trees becoming a sanctuary of silence.
A shell of what Jake was accustomed to. Jake didn’t like silence. Silence was daunting. It’s something that demands attention.
Y/n wasn’t silent. She was quiet. There’s a difference. A paradox of hidden things could only be heard when gently whispered, not pried open.
She fiddles with the woven strands on his armband, he allows her, his voice quiet to not overbear her.
She treats the flowers like living things.
Gentle, small things with lungs and a heart, just like her. When Lo’ak was 4, y/n 5, he grew a habit of carelessly stomping through the tswakesyul flower bed whenever he and spider raced up the creek, the small noises of nervousness that fell from Y/n’s lips, little hands itching to wilt them up to their right side again.
Where others looked over a tiny, withered voice and shaky hands, stuttering speech and unbraided hair that was known as Y/n, Jake and Neytiri saw a child who cared. Longed for something to protect without the consistency of burdening noise to shake her.
A child who watered the flowers, planted extra seeds, picked more fruit than she could carry because she cared too much.
Jake watches as Y/n carefully braids the flowers. Her fingers weaving between the stems, gently cradling stories.
Stories?
Yes, Stories.
Plants harbor memory.
Memories that we cannot see.
Well, Jake can’t at least.
Where he saw a leaf, Y/n saw a piece of the great mother that had grown through the seasons, refusing surrender during Great storms, but instead be blown with the wind to find itself placed here, on the ground. Stories of stars and wild skies, such fragile things like flowers spoke to her.
“I HATE YOU!”
“I hate you times Infinity, Lo’ak!
Penis face-!”
“Hey! That’s enough. Don’t make me come over there.”
Jake glared at his two children.
Kiri huffed, her chin tilted up in disapproval of Jake’s intervention.
She was Grace’s child, through and through. Don’t believe me? Grace’s sass still haunts us all.
“She started it!”
Lo’ak protested, snatching the toy away from Kiri who snickered as she whacked him with her tail.
“Ow! Dad-!”
“Enough. Kiri, go over there, Lo’ak, you over there.”
Jake stood up, withdrawing himself from his peaceful spot in the shade with Y/n.
Grabbing Kiri by one arm, Lo’ak by the other.
“No fair. Dad, we wanna play!”
Kiri whines.
“Then play away from one another, please?”
Lo’ak huffed, like the petty 7 year old he was,
“Fine. I’m gonna go play with…”
His hands dangled at his sides, eyes flickering for his next victim-
I mean playmate.
“Y/n!”
Before Jake can protest, Lo’ak jogs his way over to Y/n. Roughly grabbing her by her arm and dragging her away towards the shallow creek, Jake sometimes took Neteyam to practice fishing.
A small squeak of surprise leaves Y/n’s lips.
”lo’ak! Gentle for Eywa’ s sake.”
Jake scolded.
Lo’ak waved his dad off, ridding his remark from the Pandora air.
“We’ll be back soon! I promise! We’re gonna go play in the river!”
“Be home by sundown. And be careful!”
Jake sighed, taking Kiri home to go play with baby Tuk and Neteyam.
.𖥔 ݁ ˖☾𖤓.𖥔 ݁ ˖.𖥔 ݁ ˖☾𖤓.𖥔 ݁ ˖.𖥔 ݁ ˖☾𖤓.𖥔 ݁ ˖
Spider roared playfully as he chased Y/n and Lo’ak.
Lo’ak, Spider, and Y/n forged themselves into a nest of chaos.
It stunned Jake, to see two na’vi children treat a human like one of their own, helping him re-twist his locs and paint his skin the colors of their culture in hopes it’ll stain itself a new life in its wake.
It scared Jake, in a way.
To see bonds forged out of something so undeniably dangerous.
The kind of paradox of love that was stitched together out of mismatched pieces.
They fit if you place them in the right position.
The deepest rivers, the vastest of oceans, kindred with the sun, the moon, the stars.
You can’t have 1 without the other 2 tagging behind.
Trust. That’s what the 3 had.
Neytiri and Jake watched from afar, their looming shadows remaining unveiling over their children.
Neytiri saw spider as nothing but a burden.
The type of animal with no hope of survival, but refuses surrender. It clings to life even in the excess of misery.
Neytiri’s anger was a shallow thing.
Yet, it roots itself deeper than Jake could reach. A daughter of the forest, whom dances where other struggle to stand on uneven ground.
When it came to Spider, it awakened A destructive havoc we call distrust, introduced officially as our antagonist.
A costume. An actor. Entertainment in its most pathetic form. A pale child painting their self blue.
Wishing for the type of dream that lets him sleep in longer.
That’s what Neytiri saw.
When jake looked at Spider, he saw an unfinished canvas.
That’s why Spider paints himself.
“He belongs with his own kind.”
Jake looks towards his wife, his eyes glancing a pattern between the trio and his mate.
“He’s just playing.”
Jake adds, the mumble lingered in the pandora air.
Neytiri clicked her tongue, wincing a bit as she watched the boy roughly pull on Y/n’s tail.
Something she would have considered harmless roughhousing, if Spider was a na’vi child.
Neteyam peeked from behind his mothers leg, his tail flicking curiously as he watched his brother, Y/n and spider run around.
“I am the hungry thanator! Coming to eat you all!”
Spider hissed, running to catch up with Lo’ak and Y/n.
“Not with those legs you’re not!!”
Lo’ak jumped into a higher branch, one which spider couldn’t reach.
“Lo’ak! No fair! I can’t reach!”
Spider complained, attempting jumping for a few failed attempts at catching the mischievous na’vi boy.
“No way! I’m not trying to get eaten!”
“I’m still on the ground!”
Y/n waves her arms around, signaling to spider to come get his free meal.
Y/n wasn’t like Lo’ak. When she played with spider, sparing him the difficulty of things his body wasn’t made for.
Spider’s eyes lit up and he roared once again, charging at Y/n, feet assaulting the ground beneath him with splashes in the shin-deep water.
Y/n squealed and found herself tackled by the human boy.
“Caught you! Now I will feast!”
Spider laughed.
“I’ll protect you Y/n!”
Lo’ak tackled spider, Neteyam watched as chaos ensued between the three.
“Neteyam, you wanna go join them, bud?”
Jake nudged his eldest lightly.
But teyam shook his head, his feet rooting him close to Neytiri.
Neteyam was jealous.
No. He wasn’t gonna admit it.
To see y/n with spider and Lo’ak, yelling wildly, as if the two reckless boys barricaded her in a circle of safety in which she could shed her skin and become her true self.
Why couldn’t she have that with neteyam?
Neteyam thought of himself as a nice person.
Neteyam had a fascination with Y/n.
Often found himself trying to climb over the barrier she had built around herself.
Jake called it a ‘puppy crush’.
What’s a puppy?
Neteyam didn’t know. Nor did he care, really.
At age 8, Neteyam was the kindest soul you’ll ever meet.
Kind, gentle, beloved by all of his friends in the village.
And trust me; teyam had lots.
Quite the popular kid.
There was a time where Neteyam was following his father, bow in hand, his steps unfaltering in speed, skipping over rocks as he trailed behind Jake, whom walked with his head high, ready to take his eldest fishing.
“Alright, bud. Gotta make this one quick. I promised your mom I’d get you home before sundown.”
“Okay dad…”
Neteyam’s words trailed off as he found his steps lacking perfect pace behind the taller na’vi.
A bit beside him, a na’vi girl came into view, quietly poking and picking at the flowers with a steadied gaze.
Stomped on, withered tswakesyul under the fingertips, it only took him a second to realize it was Y/n.
Neteyam’s feet moved before his mind could.
“Y/n?”
She squeaked at the sound of his voice; her eyes widening a bit; and she stared like a deer in headlights.
“Hi teyam.”
Her voice is quiet, a fragile thing.
“Whatcha doing? Is that a flower? It’s pretty. Tswakesyul are mama’s favorites-“
Neteyam pauses mid sentence as he sees Y/n struggle to answer his overwhelming questions.
Her mouth opens and closes, but no words form a grand execution.
Choppy breaths, stuttered scentences.
Neteyam sits patiently, awaiting her voice to flood his ears.
Neteyam was a kind child. Patient like his mother, growing into a noble warrior with dreams of ikran wings and victorious wind races, running through lightning and chasing rainclouds.
To execute these wild fantasies?
He couldn’t.
It was like a wall he couldn’t climb.
Even at 8 years of age.
To give in, to fall off the edge, it was like a rope constantly pulled him back to safety. To familiarity and warm scents, to comfort and warm touches from dying fire pits, in a way he envied Lo’ak, who ran through wildfires like it’s his life mission.
No cozy fires for him.
Neteyam never saw y/n as a fragile thing.
Not a thing to be studied or observed.
And yet, the girl whom showed a rare generosity towards something as fragile as a flower….
It enraptured his heart.
Neteyam, once 8, is now 19.
Muscles rippling, stance widening, strength conquering.
He was everything.
He was a hunter, stealthy, silent, graceful, like his mother.
He was a warrior, proud, confident, intelligent like his father.
Expectations were heavy things. Tying him down like weights to a shoulder.
Growing as the future chief, the son of Toruk Makto. Neteyam found himself stuck under an un-surrendering shadow.
Neteyam was sunlight. A tyrant of honor, violent with color, sun-streaked glowing flaxen running through his veins. Reminisce in his laugh, it’s bright enough to challenge the sun and the sky.
Haunted by the atonement of loneliness, with the unburdened carefree childhood withering away with each year.
The vexatious luminescent deity we claim to be sunlight, provides no sanctuary to a shadow.
He was the dawn that climbed the mountains slowly at first light, he was the sunsets that bleed through the sky, a lingering shield that protected the lands from the thousand eyes that would soon litter the dark sky, withering into a thin strip of horizon.
Neteyam never stood where he couldn’t see.
The sun that became mere background noise, a shadow of a looming ruler who no longer throned once night fell.
Watching the moon glow, constantly providing, but never falling off the edge.
With the vengeful thief we call time, Y/n grew into an 18 year old.
Y/n Is a shadow. Dwelling under dim fires, glowing under the moonlight. Sometimes Neteyam thought the universe could fall apart in her hands, and she’d whisper to it like one of her flowers.
A kaleidoscope of perfect curves and colors, sunlit eyes and gentle hands.
Y/n yearned for darkness.
The quiet of the night, the whispers of stardust, the heartbeat of the moon.
where she can touch the consolation within isolation. It is not loneliness she desires, but fixations on the introspection of her affection.
Where she can unravel stories in the leaves, the trees, the earth, the petals of a tsawkesyul.
Neteyam fantasies sporadically.
Dreaming is a dangerous thing.
Is it wrong?
That he yearned for her like she yearned for her flowers?
Had dreams of kissing her neck, dragging his nose along her pulsepoint
feeling the curve of her hips beneath his palms?
Feeling her breath, her heartbeat.
To thread his fingers through her braids. To love her. To kiss her from teh perfectly curved cupids bow and down, worshiping her every breath.
Oh Eywa. Let him pretend.
Let him pretend like the day he stood behind his mother’s leg, watching Y/n and his brother. Pretending it was him, pretending he was with her then.
Pretending he was with her now.
Pretending he was hers. Hers to ruin, hers to kiss, to gently drag her fingertips over.
He longs for her laughter. To chase one another while the sun burns out, the sky submerging into a sunset violent and rebellious with color. The last salvageable stretches of sunlight flirting with her eyes, she serenades him with the aubade of her laughter. Proclamations, promises, and monuments fade behind him.
Those unscathed hands cradling her stories. Her flowers. Her sun
He wants to be her sun.
Trust me.
Trust me please.
Look at me.
Can’t you see me?
Neteyam wants to scream it.
Trust me to treat you like one of your flowers.
Neteyam was sunlight.
Y/n was a shadow.
Can we be an eclipse?

First request finished! this will become a mini series. I’m thinking 3 or 2 parts? The next parts will be WAY less fancy and extra I promise. This was just kinda a build up to Neteyam and Y/n’s blossoming romance. im actually so excited for this work and I had so much fun writing it. writing it was kinda a blur, yk? like I just sat down and thought “shy reader? Okay-“ And then I started typing and I couldn’t stop 😭

As Tuk had told you that once again, Ao'nung had bullied her, you decided that it was enough. Someone had to teach him a lesson and you didn't want any of your siblings to get into trouble, so you took the matter into your own hands.
You went out to look for him, finding him and his two other friends a bit further away from the village where they could gossip in peace.
"Ao'nung you bitch!" you roared from afar, nostrils flared in anger.
His face switched from a bored look to full amusement as he turned to face you, watching you stomp over to him.
"That would be me" he grinned, as if he was excited to see you.
"You're a fucking pussy! Stop picking on my sister when she's all alone!"
The other two guys only chuckled as they saw how you came dangerously close to the chief's son.
The young man smiled to himself as he fed on your rage.
"Don't you freaks deserve that?" He purred and crossed his arms as if he was only waiting for you to say something back.
"Listen here you disgusting cunt, if I ever catch you doing that to my family again, I'm gonna destroy you. I will make you regret the day you were born. Did I make myself clear?"
At your words, his expression only grew. With one hand, he signalled to his friends to leave you two alone. Only hesitantly did they follow his request, but in the end they turned to leave.
Ao'nung came another step closer, eyeing you carefully.
"A worm like you doesn't even stand a chance against me."
"Watch your tongue, fucker."
Yet the man just grinned and bit his lower lip before he reached out to graze your neck with a few feathery touches.
"You know", he cupped your face with one hand, "you're cute when you get mad. I like that~"
Without any second thoughts you leapt at him, making him stumble backwards. Rage coursed through your veins at his words, causing your impulsive side to take over.
His back crashed into the ground unpleasantly while you yelled, throwing yourself at him angrily. "You're nothing but a coward and a disgusting bitch!"
You knelt over Aonung with narrowed eyes, hitting his face with full force. He tried to block your fists, but the expression on his face didn't change. His amused look didn't cease on bit.
"(Y/N)!" you suddenly heard your brother's, Kiri, Tuk and also Tsireya call out for you, which made you lose you focus for a moment and you looked up to see them all coming closer.  His friends also turned back, now that the fight had escalated.
Ao'nung quickly used the opportunity to hold you by your wrists so you couldn't hit him anymore.
You tried to get off of him, as his hands quickly switched to hold you in place. His nails dug into the flesh of your hips causing you to flinch before he gave you a serious look all of a sudden. It almost looked as if he was scared.
"(Y/N), I-I didn't mean it, please-"
"You scared of my brothers, stupid bitch? Your friends won't be able to save your wothless ass this time!"
"Really, that's not helping right now, we should talk this out."
Your siblings stormed over to help you while you still struggled to get off of Ao'nung, yet his grip around your hipbones got even tighter.
"Talk this out? I'm gonna smack your lights out!"
"Seriously, (Y/N)."
He bit his lower lip while you struggled to get off, until he swallowed his pride and pressed you down onto his lap.
Your breath hitched at the feeling, now that you understood why he couldn't let you get up. He was rock hard beneath you.
You looked up into his eyes with a triumphant smile as he got all silent and he tried to look away from you.
He swallowed heavily, still clawing into your skin.
"Not so tough now, are you?" you mumbled, watching his cheeks turn dark.
"You can't let them see, please..."
"You disgust me..."
He sighed softly, his manhood twitched at your words.
"Not helping..."
As your siblings and his friends came closer you thought about what to do. Let everyone see his bulge? Ridicule him? Play along?
"Aren't you ashamed of yourself, getting turned on like that, grinding your needy cock against me like a desperate whore." Your voice was herely a hiss.
"(Y/N), you're only making it worse..."
You could feel his erection press against your core through your loincloth.
"Get your hands off my sister!"
Lo'ak yelled as he and Neteyam got closer to pull you away from him. The fear and shame in Ao'nungs eyes was clearly visible.
You sat up straight, letting go of Ao'nung. His eyes widened as you rolled your hips against his erection, causing him to swallow a moan.
"All good, I don't need your help."
The genuine smile you gave your siblings was pretty suspicious to them. "I got this. He just wants to talk."
"And you have to sit on him for that?"
Neteyam asked, eyeing the situation carefully.
"Sure, to hide his boner~"
Ao'nungs grip got painfully tight as you exposed him. Yet the way you said it got everyone huffing, thinking it was a joke.
"We're good. You can leave."
"Are you sure?" Lo'ak asked, but you just nodded. Slowly but surely your audience withdrew from the scene, leaving the two of you alone again.
He was too proud to thank you verbally, but he did it with his eyes.
"Who could've guessed you're so fucking disgusting?" you asked him, teasingly grinding your hips again.
"The mighty future olo'ekytan, so weak..."
He panted ever so lightly, trying as hard as he could not to buck his hips against you, even if he would've loved to do so. He couldn't show his weakness now, there was no way, and yet his body betrayed him.
"How many times have you touched yourself already after an argument with me, huh?"
His grip around your hips softened a bit at your question. He refused to answer, being way too proud to do so.
"You want me to call my brothers back here? Maybe your friends too? I'm sure they would be amused about seeing you so hard and needy? Answer me, or I'll make everyone see what a disgrace you are."
He visibly panicked at the threat.
"They can't know!"
"Then answer me, bitch."
You watched him swallow hard before he hesitantly spoke again.
"Maybe once or twice..."
You rocked your hips against him, causing him to whimper in shame.
"NETE-"
"Alright, alright! ... A few times..."
It was fun to see him like this. So ashamed and almost obedient all of a sudden.
"If only your friends knew, or your parents... You like being a pain in the ass, huh? Get's you off real good, does it? To get degraded like a little slut..."
Hearing your words almost sent him into a trance of pleasure. Without even intending to, he subconsciously moved his hips against yours.
"Fuck, look at yourself. All hard for a few words, and now this... Are you that needy?"
Ao'nungs eyes fell shut, he hated to admit it but hearing your words while  having you sit on his erection felt like heaven. His whimpers got more frequent with each of your words.
He shivered at the streams of saliva which you spat across his face in disgust, it only worked like oil to his fire. Unable to hold himself back, he pressed your hips down at each desperate thrust.
You watched him lick your saliva of thr corners of his mouth.
"Don't tell me you're into that too, huh?"
Instead of answering, he just continued and his body shivered beneath yours.
Deciding that he had enough fun, you used his trance to get off of him, just as he was about to reach his high. Once he felt the friction being removed, he looked up only to see you slip away quickly.
"(Y/N), you can't just go now! H-hey!"
He got up onto his shaky legs, following you until he had caught up. Ao'nungs hand clenched around your wrist to stop you, and so you did.
"Promise to leave my siblings alone, or I'll spread your little dirty secret all around in the village." you cursed with narrowed eyes, to which he agreed panting.
"I'm not gonna pick on your siblings ever again, I promise, just...please... "
He bit his lower lip and pressed your hand against his crotch. Even if he hated to admit it, he needed you to finish him.
"Swear it, and you'll get your redemption." you mumbled, then grabbed onto his length through his loincloth.
Without hesitation, he answered, wishing for nothing more than you freeing him from his lust.
"I swear it, I'll never insult them again. I'll leave them alone, really!"
You nodded at his words, then rubbed your hand against the precum-stained bulge.
"What an obedient slut you can be..." you mumbled, rewarding his vow with the last few touches that he needed to cum into his loincloth.
Ao'nung panted heavyily, tried to suppress a last loud moan while holding onto you, still shivering from his high.
"You're a disgrace to your own clan."
With a disgusted groan you smeared the semen that had seeped into your hand across his face, to which he sank onto his knees. His legs couldn't carry him any further right now.
"Go wash yourself. Not gonna help with how ugly you are but at least you'll stop looking so damn used."

growing up as a sully had its hardships. you were different from the other na’vi people because of who your father was. they saw you differently, you had an extra finger, and you were slightly shorter than your siblings and the people in your village.
but, it never stopped your family from loving you unconditionally. jake was your number one supporter, as his firstborn daughter he was highly protective of you but he gave you the freedom you deserved because he knew you could handle yourself and he always kept an eye out for you.
neytiri, your mother was strong, brave, and capable of anything she had to do. you took a lot after her, you were skilled when it came to hunting. she taught you everything you knew. she was so proud to be your mother, to have you as her daughter. you were the most beautiful thing she had done.
you were very close with your siblings. growing up, you were still young with lo’ak was born but with kiri and tuk you would always play with them, you were the big sister everyone dreamed of.
with neteyam, it was different. sure, he may be older but you were always a helping hand if he needed you. or, if he was having a hard time he always came to you. he took care of you as an older brother should, but sometimes he just needs a shoulder to lean on.
“y/n!” tuk cheered as you walked back to your home, you had gone out with kiri for a while to enjoy nature and help your sister find some items for her jewelry making. “tuk-tuk!” you beamed as she ran into your arms. “i made you something!” she handed you a piece of jewelry she had made, “oh my, ewya, this is gorgeous!” you grinned, “thank you” she watched as you put the piece on and she giggled. “so pretty!” tuk left your embrace, leading you back home where you were met with the rest of your family.
on one occasion, lo’ak, neteyam, and your father went out to hunt for a while but when they returned you knew the atmosphere was dull. mostly coming from lo’ak, you felt his sadness. “did he yell at you again?” you pulled lo’ak to the side he nodded, hanging his head low. “i’ll talk with him, okay?” you smiled, bringing your younger brother into a hug. “stay out of trouble, skxawng” the both of you laughed.
you were the daughter and sister they adored.
though, when you arrived at the metkayina clan things shifted. you weren’t as happy as you used to be, and it was hard adjusting to the different lifestyle. it didn’t help how the people saw you as a demon, often making comments on your appearance.
of course, you changed. you were slowly beginning to hate yourself.
“ma ite” your ears perked up, whipping your head around to find your mother who was approaching. “sa’nok” you answered, looking down at the sand. “what is wrong my child?” she questioned, coming by your side. it was late into the night, you weren’t able to sleep. you were tired of being alone with your mind so, you decided to get up and sit for a while in attempts to clear your head.
your family had moved to the oceanside in hopes of refuge. unlike the others, you felt alone. compared to the forest this was all so different, you missed playing in the trees, laying in the lush forest grass with your siblings. getting used to the sand and water was different, but oh was it beautiful.
the others noticed how you were different they’d poke fun at your height, your hands, your fingers, and your hair. it hurt, you’d stay up every night wondering if you were the problem.
were you that much of a disappointment to your family?
you shrugged, turning and facing the sea. “i don’t know, mother” you lied, fidgeting with your fingers. “just could not sleep” you felt her hand rest on your shoulder, of course, you knew that she knew something was wrong. it was your mother, she knew everything. “something is troubling you” you nodded, pursing your lips. “what is it, my child?” tears welled in your eyes, ears flattened as you looked at your lap. “i’m alien. everyone hates me.”
neytiri felt her heartbreak, seeing you like this and thinking people could hate you. how could anyone hate her special girl? she pulled you close to her, resting her head on yours as you quietly sobbed into her chest “oh..itetsyip” she cooed, brushing your hair behind your ear.
“what’s going on?” jake emerges from the hut after hearing a bit of commotion. you both raised your head turning back to find your father. his eyes scanned you, and seeing your puffy eyes he went into full dad mode. then, he looked at neytiri and they held eye contact for a moment.
you weren’t okay.
“what’s wrong, babygirl?” he asked, coming to your side. you felt a lump in your throat when he asked, all this time you had been bottling it up and now, you were about to explode. “i’m so tired” you cried, falling into his arms. jake held you tightly, neytiri rubbing your back gently, “shhh, mawey mawey.” your mother hushed your cries.
“i’m sorry if i’m a disappointment, father. i’m trying my hardest” you cried into his arms. you weren’t able to take the pain much longer. you began to hate yourself. “look at me.” he pulled you from his embrace, holding your face. “you are not a disappointment. i don’t want you to ever say that about yourself again, okay?”
as a father, you’d never want to hear your children say they were a disappointment. you were the greatest thing jake ever did. “yes sir” you nodded, wiping away your tears. “my daughter.” neytiri grabbed your attention, wiping away your tears. “ewya blessed me with the honor of being your mother.” she smiled sadly, “more than all of the stars in the sky, you are so loved. ma y/n” she pressed a kiss on the top of your head.
“let us go to bed now, it is late.” she stood up, reaching for your hands and jake followed suit.

What if the sickly born reader went behind her families back and bonded with an ikran and maybe got hurt in the process. What would they all do after finding this out?
I love the ideaaaa! Let’s do this!
Caught red handed (Yandere! Platonic! Sully family x sickly born! Sully! Reader). [ Our baby part 2 ]
General warnings: Yandere! Behavior, cursing, violence, all the yandere warnings you can imagine, guilt tripping.
Content warnings: English isn’t my first language and this hasn’t been proofread yet
Tumblr media
[ 3rd Person POV ]
Eclipse had fallen upon Pandora, the bioluminescent plants shone with their bright colors.
Y/n had planned this for a while. She felt tired of having her family always with her, treating her like a baby. The real baby was Tuk not her.
She sneaked around her house. Trying not to wake anyone up. She didn’t want to imagine how her family would react to this. She went towards the Ikran hive, determined on getting one. She didn’t want to always fly with Jake or with Neteyam.
She tried to be silent, some of the Ikran were sleeping and probably startling them wouldn’t be the best idea.
Walking around she found the one, it was a beautiful (your favorite color) tone. The Ikran was wide awake but unmoving, looking at her closely.
Soon he started running towards her, she had been chosen. This is something she hadn’t planned. The part were you have to fight the Ikran to be able to create a bond with it.
She rushed through the hive trying to avoid getting bitten. She jumped and squirmed. Once she didn’t move so fast and the sharp fangs from the Ikran pierced her thigh. “Shit!” She wailed. She felt pain go over her, but as the Ikran was moving his head, she formed the bond with it. “Ha, gotcha, bitch!” She laughed wholeheartedly while softly whining. She got on top of it and it took a few minutes to be able to have a connection with it.
She flew until dawn. “How am I going to hide this?” She thought to herself while looking at her leg and stoping her ikran close to the hive again. She went to her grandma’s, the Tsa’hìk would help her.
“You shouldn’t be here” her grandma hissed as she fixed Y/n’s leg. “Your mom will skin you, then skin me, then skin you again!”.
Y/n smiled softly at her grandmother. But suddenly, the tent flew open. “Y/n!” Neytiri’s voice sounded strong and terrifying.
Neytiri hissed at her daughter “where have you been? All of us were worried sick” she hollered when she saw the bandages on her leg. “Y/n!” Jake screamed too. He came in and scooped his baby in his arms, angrily.
“You shouldn’t have done that!” Jake said, looking at her. “What have you done!” He was really mad. It scared Y/n. “Dad, please don’t scream at me”.
Neytiri hissed “it is making me use all of my strength not to pluck your eyes out!”. Y/n shut her eyes close, a few tears sliding through her cheeks.
“She bonded with an ikran” the voice of the Tsa’hìk took both adults by surprise. “Grandmaaaa” Y/n whined.
“She did what!?!?” Neytiri hollered, Y/n retracted more into her dad’s arms, trying to hide her face on his neck. “We will talk later” Jake said, his voice dangerously low. Y/n shivered as Neytiri walked past them hollering blasphemies.
Once they got home Y/n whined. “Hey guys, where were yo-“ Neteyam cut himself mid-phrase when he saw his parents’ faces. “What happened?” Lo’ak asked.
“Your sister bonded with an ikran and hurt herself in the process” Jake said coldly. Neteyam’s and Lo’ak’s looks darkened as they heard that. Where was she trying to go? Did she try to escape? Would this all end?
Neteyam decided on taking a soft approach, seeing how scared his sister was. This would give him point with her and maybe she would come to him instead of taking an ikran. He could almost imagine how it would feel to have her undivided attention.
Once Jake put Y/n down on the floor, Neteyam went and hugged his sister. He didn’t say a thing, knowing full well that their dad could find a way to blame him. Y/n sniffled softly and tried to hide her face in Neteyam’s chest. Even though she was scared and the situation was not good, Neteyam felt satisfied seeing her reaction.
He knew she would always count on him.
Jake grunted and hissed before leaving the tent and talking outside with Neytiri. “I am so sorry! I just wanted to have an ikran like all of you” Y/n sniffled. Neteyam patted her hair. “Hush now, Y/n. I am here with you” his sweet tone and soft touches made her feel better.
Lo’ak hissed under his breath, muttering insults at hos brother before he got up and also hugged her. “We are here for you”. The girl was startled by the sudden voice behind her but she turned around a little bit to hug both her brothers.
“Y/n, are you okay?” Kiri appeared. “I heard mom and dad talking about you right now”. She went straight to her sister, pulling her in a hug and trying to calm her completely around. “The world out there is dangerous, they are so mad because you know how fragile you are! They don’t want to loose any of us.” Kiri explained, making Y/n’s behavior change.
She suddenly felt guilty of causing pain to her family. “I am so sorry” she started crying again. Kiri smiled at her brothers knowingly. Neteyam nodded while Lo’ak didn’t understand what was she doing.
Later on, all of them expressed their fear of loosing her, making Y/n feel more and more guilty. She wouldn’t plan on doing anything anytime soon, that’s for sure.
Jake and Neytiri, once they calmed down, saw what their kids had done and they were very proud. Neytiri still punished Y/n with doing more chores and Jake also guilt tripped her into feeling bad for what she had done.

Based on this request.
Lo'ak reaches out, touching the delicate woven poncho that his sister is wearing. It's not the kind of thing Lo'ak would typically notice, but something about it has caught his eye. There's a sparkle to it, something woven through the fabric that catches the light, very similar to the na'vi skin in the darkness of night.
"Where did you get this?" Lo'ak asks. Kiri looks down, and then shrugs.
"It was just with my stuff. It's really pretty, though. Tuk found one too... and mom."
"Huh," Lo'ak says, and his attention is then drawn to the carpet under his feet. A rug, brown and maroon, intricately woven and brand new. "This is new too, right?"
Kiri looks down, following her brother's gaze. "I think so. Looks clean."
"Huh," Lo'ak repeats, and then shrugs and moves on with his day.
xx
Even though I knew this day would come, I've been hoping to put it off for as long as possible. It isn't so much that I don't want to meet Neteyam's family, it's just that I'm worried to disappoint them.
As much as Neteyam hates it when I point it out, he's special. Not just because of the things I love about him, like his quiet sense of humor, his easy-going smile, his strength and his compassion.
He's special because of who he is, and who he was born to be. His birthright makes him special. Eldest son of Olo'eyktan. Were Neteyam ugly, harsh, stupid and cruel - the true opposite of himself - he would still be above my station.
He would still be too good for me.
And yet, here we are, walking hand in hand to meet his parents, so that he can introduce me as his betrothed. His intended mate. I had always told him I did not want his family to know about me, but never really told him why, until last night.
"Why now?" Neteyam had asked when I told him I was finally ready to meet his parents, moments after he took my hands into his and asked me to be his mate for life.
"Because I know now, truly that you love me. I don't need to be afraid anymore."
He had shaken his head and brushed a tear from my cheek. "I've loved you since the moment we met."
So now we approach their home, and even though I am secure in my relationship with Neteyam, I am nervous about being accepted into their family. He reassures me over and over that they will love me as he does, they will be thrilled for us, but it doesn't stop me from feeling sick to my stomach.
"Neteyam!" Taruk Makto is the first to greet him as we enter their tent, looking up from where he sits, and it's overwhelming to be in such close proximity to our clan leader. I bow my head as he looks from me to Neteyam and back at me again. His wife, Neytiri, is seated at his side, and turns her attention away from the arrows she is sharpening to look at us.
"Dad," Neteyam says, "Mom. I want to introduce you to Y/N."
He lets go of my hand, and places his arm around my waist, pulling me close to him. After only a moment of hesitation, Neteyam's parents rise to their feet. As they do, I feel movement behind me, and glance to see Neteyam's siblings entering.
Kiri is wearing the shawl I made for her, and Tuk has a dressing wrapped around her tail that I crafted. Beneath our feet, I notice a rug I just finished a few days ago. It makes me feel a little more at ease and at home, to be surrounded by my creations.
"Nice to meet you, Y/N," Olo'eyktan says, and I touch my fingertips to my forehead, and then bring them down in a formal greeting. I repeat the gesture for Neteyam's mother.
"I've been, uh, spending a lot of time with Y/N. She's really wonderful. She's better on the loom than anyone else in the clan. She made the rug we stand on, and Kiri's poncho, and many other things I've brought home. She was just too, uh, shy to own up to her talent."
Neytiri turns around, looking on a nearby table, and grabs another poncho I made. This one is green, more earthy than the sparkly one Kiri is wearing.
"This, too?" Neytiri asks, and I nod. "This is beautiful. They're all beautiful. Truly, unlike anything I've seen. You made these?"
"I did," I reply a little nervously. "I wanted to give them to you myself but, since we hadn't be introduced, I had Neteyam bring them to you."
"I asked Y/N to be my mate last night, and she said yes," Neteyam says suddenly, and a hush falls over the room.
I can feel my heart pounding in my chest, wondering which way their reactions will go.
Confusion? Anger? Disappointment?
"Wow, that's insane!" comes a cry from Lo'ak, and he reaches out, extending his arms to me for a hug. "Another sister, I guess! I mean, I've got enough, but you seem okay." He wraps me in strong arms, and I return the hug, so grateful that he's broken the silence.
When Lo'ak releases me, I turn anxiously to see Neteyam's parents, and the scene is exactly what I would have dreamed up if I hadn't been too scared to imagine this day.
Netytiri holds her eldest son in her arms, and over his shoulder, she smiles serenely at me. Jake has his hands outstretched, one on his wife's shoulders, the other on Neteyam's.
"I wish you had brought her here sooner, so we could get to know her!" Neytiri says.
"You guys are scary," Neteyam replies, and his father laughs. Neytiri reaches out, extending a hand to me, and I place my hand in hers.
"I have known something was going on with my son. He is as happy as he has ever been, smiling like a moron from morning until night. I was waiting for this moment." She holds one of my hand in both of hers, grinning at me. "You are welcome in our family. Now we can give you gifts in return, for the beautiful things you have given us."
I shake my head, feeling embarrassed at the tears pricking behind my eyes. "No, you don't have to do that. I like making those things."
Our chief hugs me next, quickly and a little awkwardly, and the relief I feel is palpable.
Quick acceptance is a surprise. I had imagined at least a little resistance, but I hadn't counted on Neteyam's parents putting his health and happiness above all else.
How could I? I didn't know them, hadn't known that besides being Olo'eyktan and the next Tsahik, Neytiri and Jake were just parents who loved their children.
We leave the tent much later, after hours of talking and celebration, and before we get too far away, Neteyam pulls me into his arms and presses his lips to mine in what feels like a long overdue kiss.
"I knew they would love you, just as I do," he whispers, his lips still touching mine.

y/n " thank you"
kiri " my mother can be stubborn but I hope she does come around, because she can't hate you forever if you and neteyam plan for a family in the future and you two are bonded to be forever"

y/n " wow that taking it a step up"
mo'at " anything to make you and my grandson happy you are one of eywa children no matter what my daughter and the people have to say" you had nodded your head mo'at had left the three girls alone as she was needed back at the village, you are enjoying your time with kiri and tuk.
tuk " I hope I can find love like you and neteyam y/n"
y/n " don't worry tuk you will find love one day"

y/n " that good as well do what you want"
????? " you" all three of them had gotten spoked when they heard neytiri voice, she soon made her way towards the three girl and she looked mad.
tuk " mom"
neytiri " not now tuk I need to speak with her"
kiri " mom what the matter"
neytiri " this girl since she was very young has been looking for a way to get into the family and clan, and now that she her she had turned your brother against me and your grandmother .... the once harmony we had in our clan has been ruined"
kiri " mom that not her fault"

y/n " neytiri with all respect your son and I really love each other"
neytiri " that false love you two will never have a family he need a proper women from the clan and I'm not the only one who think that ... he was meant to be with ninat daughter but you came and ruined everything" neytiri was not backing down as she was looking at you with hate in her eyes and voice.
tuk " mom you are being mean to y/n she our family and we love her, and no matter what the future has for her and big brother they will be happy"
kiri " yes mom what if they have kids what will you do about your grandchildren"
neytiri " that is foolish no way you and my son will never have children and if that does happen I pray to eywa that, are like my son and nothing like you I don't want demon blood on my family"
navi " yes we don't need demon blood or demon children in our clan"
navi 2 " our future oloeythan should be with someone else we have better women then her"
navi 3 " her and all the other demons are ruining our lives with their stuff and way of life, we will be better off if they stay away"
y/n " so no matter what I do you will never expect me neytiri and the same goes for the rest" the silence from neytiri and everyone else proved you right.
y/n " my future children will either get love or hate from you and everyone else ... well neytiri if I do have children I pray to eywa and anything else I have the willing power and strength to keep them happy and love .... I will make sure none on destroy them with their words and looks I have been given"
neytiri " one day my son will see the light and error of his way, and if there are kids I hope he take them far away from you and others like you"
y/n " we will see if that happens but it good to know who will in my future kids lives now before they come into this world" you soon stormed off grabbing you basket as tuk ran after you and kiri standing, to scold her mother before she came as well. The two of them stayed with you at your home as you try to control your emotions, and keep you company until neteyam comes back.
Later that day
y/n " ........"
tuk " y/n don't give mom the time of day she being rude towards you and many others"
y/n " I know but I'm just tried"
neteyam " y/n" soon neteyam came came dashing into the home and looked at you. He soon was followed by everyone else who were not standing at the entrance of the home.
kiri " she very upset about what mom had said to her"
Jake " what happened girls" the three girls had informed the group of what happened and to say no on was happy will be understatement. Jake look so disappointed about the whole situation as he was looking at his son and you.
Jake " right now there will be no major conflict with neytiri I will speak mo'at and we will deal with her, I will also make sure to have some words with her as well"
neteyam " thank you father I will have some words with her tomorrow, after I rest my nerves as I wish not to say anything bad to her"
Jake " I understand"
lo'ak " why don't we stay ...."
Jake " son I know you had good intentions right now but I think it best if we leave neteyam and y/n together you can spend time with her tomorrow, they will need to talk about what will happen in thier future"
lo'ak " yes sir" norm and tsu'tey hugged their daughter before they left, leaving the coupe alone as neteyam was comforting a sad and tried y/n. Everyone was upset about the situation and soon the event of today had been shared with the other humans, and they were not happy as well they felt bad for you.
neteyam " form tonight on I will keep you safe and I will keep our future family safe as well"
y/n " thank you and I'm sorry I tried I really did ..."
neteyam " it okay I understand" neteyam held you close that night he was upset with his mother, and was going to deal with her later on. He was going to keep true to his promise and make sure no one else, hurts his mate again even if that means cut some people out of his life.

It had been days since the last time you talked to Lo’ak, ignoring him everywhere you went.
At first, he avoided you too, trying to gather his thoughts and think of a way to apologize to you. He tried a couple of things that worked back when you both were children. He made you a new armband that matched his, but he didn’t see you wearing it the next day. He then made you a small trinket to add to your ever growing collection of random shit you found, but it was right where he left it the next day. He then tried to talk to you but all he received in return was your silence and Ao’nung’s small growls in warning for him to step away. Lo’ak felt like he was going to circles. He felt utterly hopeless.
It wasn’t long until both of your parents and remaining siblings realized your avoidance towards each other. Neteyam had failed to tell Jake and Neytiri about what happened that fateful night, in turn disregarding telling Kiri and Tuk. He wanted Lo’ak to tell them for himself or at least have you confront them about it and receive comfort from them. But he knew the both of you were too stubborn to ask help from your parents, so one night he asks no one in particular if they knew why you were, yet again, staying over in Tsireya and Ao’nung’s marui pod.
His question made Lo’ak freeze and nearly choke on the food that was halfway down his throat, harshly swallowing in discomfort.
Neytiri was deeply disturbed by your absence. She missed you dearly. She asked you many times as to why you were never around and you never gave her the truth, wanting Lo’ak to do it on his own. You’d always give her an answer of Tsireya is offering me extra breathing lessons, it’s just easier if I stay over for dinner tonight or Tsireya and I wanted a sleep over. Neytiri always frowned at your answers, knowing that you weren’t telling her the truth. But she never pried. She knew that you would tell her the true reason someday so she let you stay with Tsireya as long as you needed.
Jake didn’t realize your distance until nearly a week after the fight. He had been too caught up in his training with Tonowari and making sure that Quaritch was nowhere near Awa’atlu to comprehend your absence from the family for one too many nights. But once he did, he felt uneasy. He knew you like the back of his hand. He had to. You’re his first born daughter, it was expected of him to. He was always the first person you’d run to whenever you had any kind of problem, confiding in him for a solution or aid. It warmed his heart that he was the first person you came to in time of need, made him feel wanted and loved. So when he saw you barely glance at Lo’ak or even say goodbye to them before heading off to wherever you had in mind, he felt unease settle itself on to his chest. He knew something was wrong and wanted to know what it was, but didn’t want to pry it out of you. It wouldn’t work. He felt helpless and wanted to figure out whatever was wrong so you’d stop distancing yourself from the family. He just wanted his little girl back.
The night Neteyam had asked that question, made Neytiri and Jake pop up in interest and repeat the question to their circle of children.
Lo’ak wanted to tear his older brothers head off right then and there. He didn’t need his parents meddling in both of your business. This was something between him and you, not your parents.
Kiri and Tuk had also realized your absence but didn’t give it too much thought. You always hung out with them at your guys spot and interacted with them. Yeah they found it odd that you rarely slept in the family pod and if you did, you were the first person awake and out of the house. So Neteyam’s question piqued their interest.
It took a lot of prying on Neteyam’s part to finally get the truth out of Lo’ak, but once he did, shit hit the fan.
“Kehe!” Neytiri gasped out, truly surprised at her sons words, “You did not!”.
She thought she raised both of her sons to respect all women, especially the ones in their lives. She couldn’t believe that her own son called his own twin a slut. And for what? Seeing the Olo’eyktan’s son and not telling a single soul about it? Neytiri was flabbergasted at the news.
“Boy,” Jake growled, beyond pissed at his sons previous actions and lack of communication about what occurred. He didn’t even need to ask Lo’ak about whether what he said was true or not, it was written on his face that he was guilty.
He found himself disappointed in his son, perhaps even more so than he usually was whenever he heard or caught Lo’ak doing something he wasn’t supposed to do. Jake had made sure to instill how he and Neteyam should treat every woman they came into contact with, continuously reminding them to behave accordingly and treat them with respect no matter what. So to hear that his son had called you, his sister, a slut for seeing a boy, made his blood boil. I’d ought to show that boy how humans would treat him, he thought in response.
“I know,” Lo’ak croaked out, on the verge of tears. His guilt was eating at him everyday, practically being the only emotion he felt for nearly the past two weeks. “I know what I said was completely out of line. I was angry and that isn’t an excuse for what I said. I am desperately trying to make it up to (Y/N), but nothing’s working. I’m going in circles trying to,” he finished, tears running down his cheeks.
Lo’ak knows that he shouldn’t be crying. That he doesn’t deserve to. That he doesn’t deserve anyone's pity for what he did. But the guilt ate away at him and he couldn’t help but cry. He just wanted you to forgive him and be his twin again, his other half. He felt incomplete without you by his side. It physically hurt to have you avoid him and not have you next to him.
Tuk had wiggled her way into Lo’ak’s lap in order to comfort him, wrapping her tiny arms around his neck as he cried into her shoulder.
Every Sully member could see just how much Lo’ak regretted saying what he did. They felt bad that he was feeling the way he did but they also knew that he deserved your avoidance and distance. It was the only way that would allow Lo’ak to see the impact of his words.
———
You were laying on the soft, warm sand below you when a shadow covered the suns soft rays, blocking them and covering you in its coolness.
You quickly opened your eyes to see who it was and to shoo them away, not in the mood. But your mouth quickly shut itself once you saw your Sempul hover over your relaxed figure, a small smile on his face.
“Sun bathing?” He asked, sitting next to you as you sat yourself up.
You only shrugged in response, wrapping your arms around your legs and pulling them up to your chest.
You felt bad for essentially ignoring all of your family members, but it was the only way to get it through Lo’ak’s thick skull the kind of impact his words had on you.
Your Father hums and looks out to the water line, silence overtaking the moment for a few beats. Until he finally speaks.
“Lo’ak told me,” he starts, “About what happened that night. Don’t worry. I gave him a stern talking to,” he continued, giving you a small smirk at his words.
Jake’s stern talking to’s almost always involved him dragging one of his children somewhere, yelling at them for Eywa knows what they did, and giving them some sort of punishment that will go on for however long Jake deems necessary. You found yourself wondering what punishment your brother got for his actions.
“I figured,” you chuckled, still looking out towards the water line in front of you.
“I’m sorry, babygirl. I know that it shouldn’t be me apologizing, but,” Jake says, tip of his tail swishing back and forth a bit before resting by your siding, curling itself around you gently for comfort, “Your brother is a complete skxawng. And I’m sorry for…not instilling it in Lo’ak’s brain enough to not call anyone, you that.”.
Your head whips towards your Fathers direction at his words.
“There’s nothing for you to apologize for, sempu,” you replied, eyebrows furrowed together, “Lo’ak is a skxawng and said something he shouldn’t have. He knew what he was doing and none of that reflects your teachings.”.
Jake could almost scoff at how wise you sounded. Since when did you become so wise?
Your Father only hummed in response. He wanted the best for his little girls, for you. And to hear that his own son had insulted his daughter and took his words to heart made him feel as if he wasn't adequate enough as a Father. He spent so many years craving for a family of his own before he was sent to Pandora, knowing that it wasn’t possible in his human condition. And once he finally got it, he felt over the moon. He wanted his children to love and respect each other, something that was a struggle for him and Tommy growing up. So being in this current predicament and having you and Lo’ak avoiding each other like the plague, made him feel as if he wasn’t successful in emphasizing how important family was to his children.
“I think you should hear him out,” Jake whispers to you, turning his head to face you, smiling gently down at you, “You don’t have to now. But, soon. Whenever you feel like it,” he reassured.
Your lips pierced together into a thin line, head nodding at his words.
You know that you should give Lo’ak some benefit of the doubt and at least listen to what he has to say, but it’s hard. The last thing your brother said to you were words that caused severe distress to your psyche. To be honest, you were terrified to see what he had to say. To see if he truly meant it or not.
“I’ll try,” you replied.
Your Father continued to look down at you as he smiled, bringing you into his side as he placed a soft kiss on the crown of your head. You laid your head on his shoulder in response.
“So, Ao’nung, huh?” Jake snorts out, teasing you.
“Dad!” You groaned out, covering your face with your hands as you lightly shoved him away, earning a loud cackle from your Father.
———
You were with Ao’nung when Lo’ak approached you for the first time in nearly two weeks.
Ao’nung had taken you out on a date around the island, as he usually did just to show how much he adored you. It almost always consisted of Ao’nung taking you to one of the many jewelry stands the Metkayina jewelers had out, telling you to pick whichever necklace, bracelet, or armband your heart desired and gently putting it on you once you budged, walking with you hand in hand around the island, twirling you around as you two danced to his light humming and singing, and finally going for a swim to wrap up your time together. Even though the dates were repetitive and always the same, they never failed to make you smile from ear to ear and warm your heart. It was something that you and Ao’nung did together to enjoy each other’s company. It was nice.
The both of you were spinning and dancing around in the warm sand as your boyfriend softly sang a song his Sa’nok used to sing to him when he had trouble sleeping, the melody being gentle and delicate, a perfect song just to waltz or sway to.
Ao’nung pulled you into his chest, slightly leaning down to grasp your hands against his lean chest, dipping his head down so you were face to face. He continued to sing the song as he smiled, rough hands slowly moving from your hands on his chest to your shoulders down towards your back before resting against your hips, pulling you in even closer.
You giggled at the ticklish sensation Ao’nung’s hands left on your skin as they just barely grazed it, moving your arms to wrap them around the back of his neck, fingers making their way into his curly hair. Your fingers gently run through the loose ends of his bun before messaging the scalp underneath his usual hairstyle, elevating some of the pressure from the tightness of it.
The Metkayina boy shivered at your soft and slow touch, nuzzling his forehead against yours as the two of you swayed in the gentle breeze.
“You look so pretty, my paysyul,” Ao’nung whispered out, blue eyes deeply gazing into your amber ones. He loved calling you new pet names, enjoying the soft blush that spread itself across your cheeks and neck once you processed what he called you. You loved the nicknames he gave you as well, making your stomach churn in excitement and never failed to make you smile in adoration. He truly did love you and he expresses that in many different ways, pet names being at the top of the list.
A light purple hue painted itself across your cheeks and down your neck in response to your lovers nickname. “And you look so sayrìp, Ma’Nung,” you whispered back, smiling up at the boy.
The teen boy purred out at your response, softly rubbing his face into the side of your head, kissing the arch of your eyebrow.
Ao’nung halted his singing and humming for a moment, basking in the silence and blissful peace that settled itself into the moment. Everything in his life was so quiet and peaceful the minute you arrived on Awa’atlu. He didn’t know he could feel such peace with a singular person and he was glad that he felt it with you.
But, unfortunately, much like the event that occurred days prior, Lo’ak had to ruin it with the loud clearing of his throat.
A cold chill ran up and down your spine at the sound, stopping all movement you and Ao’nung were doing. A small growl emitted itself from the Metkayina’s throat, grip on your hips getting tighter as he pulled you closer into his embrace. It was a clear warning to Lo’ak to stay away from you and leave the two of you alone.
“Can I talk to you, (Y/N)?” Your brother asked, standing a good couple of feet away from the both of you.
Lo’ak had worked up a lot of nerve to approach your figures once he caught sight of the two of you dancing. He didn’t want to ruin the moment the both of you were sharing but he knew that if he didn’t go to you and try to talk to you now, he never would. So, he gathered up all the courage he could muster and made his way to you, hyping himself up on the way.
“Leave, Lo’ak,” Ao’nung hissed out, angling you away from your twin, “She doesn’t want to speak with you.”.
“I wasn’t speaking to you, fish lips,” Lo’ak argued, growling out. Your boyfriend shouldn’t be speaking for you when he wasn’t the one who decided things for you.
Another growl left Ao’nung’s lips as he glared at the Omatikaya boy, anger creeping up his throat. Your brother shouldn’t be speaking to you if you didn’t want him to, especially after what he said to you.
“Ao’nung,” you mumbled out, hands now on his chest, pushing him back slightly.
Much like your brother, you knew that if you didn’t talk to him at this moment, you most likely never will. You needed to nip this thing in the butt sooner than later.
You nodded at your boyfriend, telling him to stand down and give you and your brother some space, that it was okay to leave you alone with him.
Ao’nung only huffed in response, eyes narrowing at Lo’ak behind you. Before he parted ways with you, he captured your lips into a kiss, running the tip of his tongue across your bottom lip before pulling back, not giving you time to respond to his light teasing.
“Our spot after? Twenty after eclipse?” He softly asked, thumb running over your cheekbone as he grasped your face in his hands. He wasn’t very happy that your brother interrupted your alone time and didn’t want to leave you alone with the one that deeply hurt you, but he trusted your opinion and respected your wishes, no questions asked.
You hummed as a response to Ao’nung’s request. There was no way that you weren’t going to tell your boyfriend how this conversation was going to go. Albeit the tension only being between you and your brother, Ao’nung was very much involved as you were.
Once Ao’nung became only a speck in your eyesight, you finally turned around to face your brother.
“Yes?” You asked, arms folding over your chest in an attempt to protect and hold yourself together. You had no idea where this conversation was going to go and that made you anxious.
Lo’ak took a deep breath in before he breathed it out, quickly gathering and preparing himself before he opened his mouth to speak.
“I know apologizing, no matter how many times I do it, isn’t going to change what I said and the way it affected you. But, I am deeply sorry about what I said to you, about you. There is no excuse. I have no excuse,” he started, tears stinging his waterline, “I was so angry at that moment that common sense was thrown out of the window. I don’t even know why I called you that. I was just so angry that you were with Ao’nung, someone who made it quite clear that we were freaks and were not welcomed here. I know that he had been different after leaving me at the reef, which I could assume is around the time you two got together.”.
You nodded at his guess, confirming.
“But I still didn’t trust him. I thought he somehow managed to manipulate you into falling for him. That he was forcing you. It was the first thought that popped into my head when I saw you two that night. I couldn’t comprehend that someone like you, my sweet and caring sister, could fall for someone like Ao’nung, a mean bully who took pleasure in causing pain to others. Confusion and anger clouded my vision. I just…” he paused, a couple of tears had already dropped down his face, “I know that I am shitty at apologies and can never accurately get out my thoughts, but I am sorry for causing you so much pain from my words. I am such a shit brother and you shouldn’t accept my apology. This past week has been awful. I felt incomplete without you. You felt miles away when in reality, you were only feet away. There was this…emptiness inside of me whenever you weren’t by my side. Everything felt wrong without you there to experience it with me.”.
“I desperately missed you. So much. It physically hurt me to not have you by my side. It made me realize that my words and actions do have consequences and that I wasn’t going to escape this situation scott free. Dad gave me the worst scolding that I’ve ever gotten. He told me that I was really fucking stupid and ignorant with my words. That he and Mom raised me better,” a chuckle escaped from your lips at that sentence, only imagining the type of scolds and hisses Lo’ak received from both of your parents.
“Yeah, you were really stupid to say that,” you replied, arms still crossed against your chest but a small smirk on your lips this time. It was nice to hear from him that he was punished by your Father, solidifying what he had told you earlier. But you still felt somewhat bad for him, knowing how angry and intense your Father can get when dishing out punishments.
Lo’ak chuckled at your acknowledgment, wiping away a couple of tears that continued to run down his face. He wanted for days to hear your voice and for you to acknowledge him. He felt relieved that you were talking to him and actually were listening to what he had to say, even if he didn’t deserve to be heard.
“I’m so sorry. You are not what I said you were. You are not slut. There is no excuse for what I did and I know that I can’t take it back or make it up to you in any way that will undo the damage I did. But I will spend the rest of my life making it up to you. I will do anything,” he finished, eyes never leaving yours.
The smirk fell off your face after he was done and silence overcame the two of you for a couple of beats.
“What you said really hurt me, Lo’ak,” you started, arms uncrossing from your chest, “It really fucked me up for a while. The intensity of your words made me truly believe your words. I know now that you didn’t mean them but in the moment, it felt like you did. I avoided you to teach you a lesson. To teach you that what you said was not okay. I am sorry for making you feel that kind of pain from my absence. I felt the same too. There were too many times where I wanted to just give up and go and just sit by you to ease it, but I knew that would defeat the purpose of what I was trying to get through your insanely thick skull.”.
The both of you laughed at your childish insult, more tears running down the both of your cheeks.
“But,” you continued, “I forgave you the minute it happened, Lo. I forgive you. I just needed to teach you a lesson and make sure it actually stuck and made an impact,” you finished, hands grasping your brothers.
Lo’ak smiled down at you from his height, lips quivering as he did so. To hear that you forgave him immediately after it happened was relieving but also made him regret his words even more. You were so kind and forgiving to him when he felt like he didn’t even deserve it.
“I love you, sister,” he whispers, bringing you into his warm embrace, one hand going behind your head to pull it into his chest while the other one went around your waist.
“I love you too, brother,” you replied back, accepting his hug and wrapping your arms around his back.
The two of you stayed like that for a couple minutes, hugging as the waves softly lapped against the shore.
It felt good to have your brother back and to finally hug him again after all this time, the emptiness the both of you felt from each other’s absences now replaced with warmth and comfort.
You couldn’t wait to meet up with Ao’nung later and tell him all about your conversation.

Kinktober 12- Fingering
Ao’nung x Human Fem Reader
Warnings ⚠️: The title gives it away, soulmate AU (matching tattoo’s)
Honestly just happy you guys enjoy my writing ❤️ thank you for your likes, comments, and reblogs, they make me incredibly happy and I look forward to seeing them☺️
I can’t remember if I proofread it but don’t be afraid to call out any mistakes :)
Word Count: 2.1K
I was born on Pandora like the rest of the kids here, scientists got horny and decided to have children, there was no effective birth control they could create and a new generation of humans had been born. Spider was the first of us, I was the second, and with us being born came a new wave of soulmate tattoo’s permanently imbedded in all our wrists. Something so special to the Na’Vi had started showing up on all of us, meaning the all mother must have had special plans for us or even saw us as her children.
I have no idea if Neytiri’s tattoo of Jake’s name had been in English or in Na’vi and at this point, knowing how she had been toward Spider, I had been afraid to ask but I couldn’t help and wonder if this had been something she often kept covered as a teenager, believing she had been rejected by the all mother due to the incomprehensible symbols on her wrist, and therefore believing she did not having a soulmate?
They did, however, keep their children’s wrists covered from the moment of their birth up until the moment they passed their iknimaya. Sure every kid had their curiosity and peeked under the band, but the name had been something kept a secret, some parents wouldn’t even take a look as they did not want to influence themselves to play matchmaker with their friends, it had been something they took seriously, a blessing from Eywa that their perfect match had been out there.
To be completely honest I hadn’t even known they wrote things down, or that they had a written vocabulary as they often spoke of their history, used the song chord to keep track of their lives, it wasn’t new to me that the tattoo on either wrist meant it was the name of your soulmate. Had this meant that the letters of my name littered themselves across a Na’vi’s wrist in English, or was it written in their language so they could understand it, did that specific Na’vi think they had been cursed had the letters been in symbols they had yet to understand? I’d purposely avoided wanting anything to do with learning the Na’vi written language due to the fear of rejection, had the specific person known it was their name they could decide what my fate would be.
There were three options. They could reject me flat out and reveal themselves as my soulmate, they could ignore me completely without having told me a thing and I’d die alone, and the highly unlikely scenario in which they’d want to have me for themselves and actually go through with being with me their entire lives. But all of that had been thrown out the window the moment Spider and I had been captured by his reincarnated father- which threw the both of us in a loop after he’d shared who he was- all of that shit had been left field, and we’d finally ended up with the Metkayina.
Due to suffeirng from foot-in-fucking-mouth disease, Lo’ak had blurted out to the people they often hung out with, that I could not read in Na’Vi, and that my soulmate was also Na’Vi. I had been given a bracelet, decorated with traditional Omatikaya colors and pattern, that I had yet to take off of my wrist from the moment Neteyam had made one for me, knowing I would want nothing more than to hide it. Even if Tuk had been young, she’d known how sensitive the topic was for me, and slapped the back of Lo’ak’s head from being a loud mouthed bitch- her words, not mine.
I’d kept a close eye on the bracelet he’d made me and assured it was tied around my wrist as tightly as possible, while allowing room for circulation, which was tricky considering riding on an Ilu- especially with Lo’ak or Neteyam, that shit loosened up every time. But with my close observation it remained intact and on my wrist, effectively covering my tattoo.
Until we’d all been huddled around the cook fire, the same group of people who hung out together sitting closely to one another, Kiri’s gasp breaking us all out of the concentration we’d all been in while listening to one of the guys talking about whatever it was they felt like sharing. All eyes had followed hers and like every other time, I’d been the last one to follow what they’d been doing, noticing my wrist had been handing something to her, vulnerably showing everyone what my tattoo had said, my eyes widened as I immediately look on the sand to find my bracelet and feeling my arm being tugged in another direction.
_________
Big hands had currently been forcing my thighs to stay open even while I attempted to shut them on his face, I’d been feeling overstimulated at the moment but his tongue continued to dance around my clit as if it had choreographed an entire show, I was on the verge of yet another orgasm and weakly attempted to push his forehead away, all while my hips pushed closer to him. I suck in a breath and throw my head back in frustration at my failed attempt, the coil in my stomach had tightened even more and I knew I was closer to release, a chuckle coming out of the mouth of the bastard who was currently eating me out.
“Ao’nung!” I whisper-yelled at the teal man below me, another quiet moan slips past my lips without wanting to, compelled to stop fighting as soon as his eyes shoot up through his thick lashes to meet mine, my knee’s growing weak at the sight. I couldn’t see his mouth as he was keeping it busy, but from the look in his eyes I could tell he had been smirking, feeling his fingers prod at my entrance, not bothering to tease any longer and sliding them in. I’d had two orgasms previous and the third one was right at the cusp, his fingers working diligently, he was insatiable at this moment and seemed to be doing what he wanted- not that I could complain as my hips buck upward to meet the teasing thrusts of his fingers.
I could feel the coil in my lower belly just about to give in, but his mouth detaches from my already soaked cunt, biting his lip as he focuses on his fingers being swallowed, and yet all I could do was attempt to wiggle my hips further, upset at his fingers retracting. Another whine had built itself in my throat and I look down to see him looking through his lashes and into the depths of my soul, completely forgetting he’d attached his kuru to the base of my skull and that he could feel everything I was feeling at the moment. I clench around his fingers subconsciously at the thought of how close we were at this time, his eyes were hazed with lust and longing, I could only imagine what my face looked like.
“You look gorgeous on my fingers, yawntu.” In the time I’d gotten lost staring at his eyes, he’d managed to meet my face with his own, his fingers working me closer to the edge without allowing me the satisfaction of coming, fingers pushing up against a specific spot and I could feel the waves of euphoria getting stronger, but not enough to crash over me. I grunt right as his lips meet mine and effectively muting the sound, feeling his opposite hand lightly pushing my thigh apart as his other continued its ministrations.
“Don’t stop-“ I’d grunted as his thrusts pick up their speed, my eyes closing on instinct as I bite my lip to keep from making too much noise, marui’s were considered their homes, but nobody had to tell me it was obvious you could hear every sound -there are gaping holes everywhere- I didn’t need to be the one human ruining it for everyone. My own gasp brings me back to the present feeling his fingers pushing harder, he’d been squatting on his toes while attempting a third orgasm out of me -which wasn’t that far behind- but from the angle I was at I could see he was hard under his loincloth, but he’d been too busy focusing on my cunt to care about himself, and who was I to mess with his concentration?
I’d wanted nothing more than to allow myself to moan, but considering our circumstances and how close we were to everyone else, I settled for short and fast pants, it was near impossible to keep any noise down with how well he’d been treating me and the sting overstimulation had only been temporary, being drowned out by the pleasure I was feeling at the moment. I was starting to feel myself spiral in my own head and felt like I needed something to hold on to, previously I’d been holding on to his pretty hair and accidentally pressing my nails into his scalp, but with nothing in reach for me to hold on I’d started slightly thrashing in the floor of our marui, but I’d rather do this than be loud.
“I want to see you come on my fingers.” My eyes snapped open -barely- at how low his voice had sounded only to realize he’d been too focused on my pussy to realize he’d said anything. I’d taken note he’d often speak without realizing he’d said anything at the moment until someone- usually Tsireya- called him out on whatever bullshit he’d said, ironically most of it was usually aimed at Spider and me. A whine sneaks past my mouth and one of my hands comes up to reach just as one of his hands come to squeeze the sides of my neck, staring right at me, eyes begging me to come.
“M’coming-“ I struggle to whisper and stated quite breathless before feeling my eyes shut again, a blinding white vision coming behind them as his fingers rub against the spot he had been assaulting this entire time. I could feel an insane amount of energy flowing through my body as I orgasmed and was surprised at how quiet I’d been, biting my own lip and thankful enough to not draw blood, allowing the waves to crash over my body silently. It kind of felt like when someone stretches in the morning, their limbs are spread wide and are on the verge of getting a Charlie-horse, minus the loud groan accompanying it.
Slowly but surely my senses start coming back to me and I could feel my body had been run through the ringer, I felt exhausted and energized at the same time, although a feeling of shock was coursing through me and it had taken a bit to remember that I had been attached to my husband, opening my eyes and seeing his shocked expression fitting the emotion I felt through our bond. I look down toward where he had been staring and it takes a second for me to realize there were droplets of something wet running along the length of his arm and some on his knees, my own eyes widening slightly at the sight, slowly reaching his stare -as he had found it in himself to look up- and realizing I was sharing the same shocked expression.
“What was that?” He asked and the amusement was clear as day in his voice, feeling a million thoughts starting to run through my head, although I was certain most of them had been his own. I shake my head a bit to rid myself of the disorganized chaos that had started flooding my brain to try and understand the predicament we were in, distinctly remembering that I may have done this one other time, but not remembering what it had been or even felt like when it happened before, but this one had definitely made me feel like I needed twelve business days to recover from.
“I need to see you do that again.” His eyes darkened as he said that and I could feel myself start to squirm with excitement, but hissing slightly at the sting of overstimulation, I was definitely in for it tonight and it was already late as fuck, were we ever going to get the sleep we needed to keep up with our busy day tomorrow?

IM SO HAPPYYYYYYY
you finally reopened your requests!!!
Hear me out!
We need a reader with vitiligo. The sully are shocked and confused when they see her skin but jake explains it to them. Ik there is a chance you maybe won't write this but i had been longing to request it for such a long time
This is what vitiligo looks like:
Tumblr media
Hellooooooo darling!! I can see where you are going with this one. Did a bit more research so I can make it as accurate as I can. Hope you all can enjoy it~!!
PS: The sully kids are younger here: Neteyam is 9, lo'ak and kiri are 8, and tuk is not yet born because I forgot about her when I finished this.
-----------
Nawang
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Come on, keep up!” young neteyam calls out to his two younger siblings. Kiri and lo’ak do their best to keep up speed with their older brother. “Stop being so damn fast!!” lo’ak shouts back, grunting as he does his best to keep up. “Hey! What did mom say?” Kiri shouts behind lo’ak. Rolling his eyes, lo’ak runs faster to be at the same level with neteyam, making kiri trail a bit behind.
The three ran through the forest in glee, their mother sent them to tell their father that lunch was ready. And of course the kids would happily use any excuse to go out on a small adventure. Especially to mess with the humans.
“I see the pole! We are here!” Neteyam says as he runs even faster. Clearing some leaves, out reveals the human post. Right near where the entrance is at, they see their dad talking to someone over a tablet. But neteyam stopped a few feet away. The human beside his dad. Why do they look-
“Why does your skin look so weird?”
“LO’AK!”
Tumblr media
“While I dont like humans, I don't support your rude words, lo'ak” Neytiri strictly scolds her second son. The boy in question grabbed his tail, looking down feeling guilty of his choice of words.
“But mom, she did look weird,” Kiri says, as means to help her brother. Neytiri only hissed at her in a warning way.  “Weird or not, I taught you better than to judge people. My children, how would you like it if someone picked on how you look? It would not be good would it?”.
Lo’ak and kiri shake their heads and mutter ‘no’.
“Good, now we are all going back and I want you to apologize to the human. Am I clear?”
“Yes mama”.
Tumblr media
Neytiri took her two children back at the human base, there she sees jake, neteyam and the human in question. And as they get closer, neytiri gets a better view of the human. She almost stopped for a second, almost. Her children weren't right to point it out, but they also were not wrong. The human did look odd. She didn't look like any of the humans neytiri came across. No, this one was different beyond any comprehension.
The human had two skins.
Dark and light skin tones. Patches all around. Almost like paint splattered all over her body.
Jake turns and calls neytiri over. She does so slowly, she came here for a reason. Best to not get distracted. Neteyam looks over and smiles at her and his siblings.
“Hi mama, look, meet nawang. She likes to take pictures” Neteyam introduces as he holds a camera in his hands.
Nawang, as neteyam calls her. She looked up and smiled, greeting her in the na’vi way. Seems like nawang has learned the customaries.
“Baby, this is nawang, a friend. One of the science guys. And nawang, this is my wife neytiri, and my other kids, lo’ak and kiri '' Jake happily introduces. The human woman looked at all of them with a warm smile.
“Hello, it is a pleasure to meet you all. Jake would never shut up about his family. Day or night, he will look for any excuse to talk about you all” she says. Her voice is cheerful and soft. Like a friend whom you already know.
“Come on, what can I say? I'm a happy man '' Jake responds, his grin wide.
Neytiri shook away at her stare and cleared her voice. “I believe my child has something important to tell you” she says, gesturing lo’ak to step forward. And he does, getting closer to nawang, he looks up at her and pouts.
“I'm sorry I called your skin weird. It was rude of me to say that” he apologizes. Nawang chuckled a bit and shook her head. “Apology accepted lo’ak” she answers.
“But why does your skin look like that?” he continues.
Jake wanted to smack himself right then and there.
Tumblr media
“Veeetigoo??”
“Not quite, vitiligo”
“Vitiligo!”
“that's it!” Nawang praises the sully kids. She was teaching them the name of her skin condition. Neytiri watched along, secretly learning too. She wanted Jake to explain what is with the human’s look, but all he replied was “it's best to hear it from the source”.
“But what is vitiligo?” Kiri asks. Nawang sat on the grass floor with the three children in front of her, their parents not far from where they are.
Rolling up her sleeves to expose more of her arms, Nawang happily begins to explain. “You see, Vitiligo is a skin disease, it is an illness that I have. No, I won't die because of it. What happens is that inside of my body, I lack the proper amount of pigment. It is what causes the patches on my skin”. Seeing as they are kids, Nawang had to explain it in as simple form as she could.
There was a couple seconds of silence from the kids. Taking in the information. Then kiri got closer to hold nawang’s hand. “Does it hurt?” she asks, looking up at her adorably. Nawang felt her heart shot through by his cuteness, she pulled kiri closer on to her lap. “No kiri, it doesn't hurt. It is just part of me” she answers.
Neteyam felt more confidence and gently traced the odd white shapes on her hand and arm. “Will it go away?” he asks, Nawang hummed a bit. “Hard to tell, for some it does go away. And for others, it stays with them”.
While Nawang was focused on kiri and lo’ak, a flash and a snap was heard. Turning, she sees neteyam holding her camera, and a polaroid picture comes out. Gently grabbing it, keeping it in her shadow, colors were forming. And what it revealed warmed her heart. “Here, it's yours' ' She says to neteyam. Gasping happily, he accepts it.
“You know, you are pretty good at taking pictures. Would you like to keep the camera?” Nawang asks. Neteyam looked surprised, looking at the camera and up back at her, “can I?” he asks. Nodding, confirming her answer, neteyam snuggles the device to his chest. “I'm going to take a lot of pictures! And then I will show them to you!” He says happily. Already many ideas are flowing in his mind.
Laughing at his adorable statement, Nawang pulls him into her little group hug. “Alrighty mister photographer, and maybe one of these days I can show you my photo album. It has all of my pictures I collected through my years”.
Lo’ak grunts a bit, pouting, “how come neteyam gets to keep the camera? I want a camera too!” he demands. Gently stroking his head, nawang speaks “maybe if netyam would like. Best to take turns. Everyone sees the world differently”.
Kiri not really caring much for what her brothers are doing, she followed the lines and shapes on Nawangs arms. And slowly she made it to her face. “It's like you are two different people in one body,” Kiri says. Gently tugging kiri’s nose, making her scrunch her face. “May seem like that. But I see it as what makes me, well, me. Like your stripes. Every na’vi that I have seen has different stripes. And no two are the same. And your stripes are very beautiful”.
Kiri gushes at her compliment.
“Come on kids! Time to head home!” Jake calls out. The kids whine, not ready to leave. “Hey come on. How about this, if you guys behave for your parents, ask them to take you guys back here tomorrow. We have forever to talk and play. How's that?” Nawang suggested. And the kids cheer, liking the offer. So getting up and saying their goodbyes, they leave for their lunch.

“Neteyam, why are you not asleep? It is past your bedtime” Neytiri smiles at her oldest son. The boy in question was wide awake and looking at his polaroid picture. “Sorry mama, I am just still excited for tomorrow. I took so many pictures of the village. I know Nawang would like it” he explains.
“Well, try your best to go to sleep. Or you will wake up late and not have a chance” his mother tells. Understanding, he lays down to sleep, still clutching his picture.
“If you sleep with your picture it would wrinkle. Would you like me to hold it for you until morning?” Neytiri asks, nodding, neteyam gives it to her. Kissing her baby good night, she walks away with the picture.
She sits near the fire for better lighting. And smiled.
The picture was of little neteyam’s hand side by side with Nawang’s hand.
