TSUKISHIMA KEI, THE TUTOR !

when y/n’s figure ice skating career is in danger, because of how bad her grades are, tsukishima is willing to tutor the girl until her dream will be safe again.

one things tsukishima knew about you, even before you two got together, was that you were incredibly similar to your brother when it came to engagement in sports. oikawa being extremely obsessive and trying top everything that includes volleyball, and your eagerness to top every single jump in a day or the same obsession, but with ice-skating.

sometimes, he felt compassion for your parents, two out of three children (he wasn’t so sure about that since he never met your older sister) somehow passing each year with their full focus on their athletic career. and sometimes it was funny to see how obsessed both of you were, yet so successful.

there were many things, you’d give up for your brother, but when shiratorizawa offered you a scholarship, you couldn’t refuse, even if it hurt your brother to the point where he refused to talk to you for a few weeks. one of the best high schools in miyagi with the absolutely best ice-skating programme, built-in ice rink, and the best teachers in japan. it was a chance you couldn’t let go.

watching you ice skate was one of tsukishima’s favorite after school activities. he would take an hour-long ride to see you on the rink for at least a few minutes. the blonde boy wouldn’t admit it, but helping you with stretching out, or recording your jumps, so you could watch it over, and over again, was just as satisfying as when he blocked wakatoshi’s spike.

so when you called him in the middle of his school day, barely breathing and said that you might lose both scholarship, and a place at shiratorizawa, because of how terrible you were with your studies (mostly ‘cause of your focus on skating), he knew there wasn’t a single scenario in the world, where he wouldn’t help you.

not only, because he was already so whipped for you, but also because you deserved everything that would help you out in pursuing your dreams and career. you’ve already made so many sacrifices that you couldn’t just leave in the middle, and tsukishima wasn’t the person, who would stand in the way of your happiness.

“i’m not your boyfriend for nothing, right? i’ll help you.” he replied, cutting you off as you panicked, imagining every possible scenario in your head. “i’ll make sure no one will take the scholarship from you, try to breathe, okay?”

Every time he had tutored you, you weren’t able to focus. your eyes would always wander around his face, flustering the shit out of your boyfriend at the same time. keeping your focus off him seemed like a crime, and you weren’t a criminal.

however, this time was supposed to be different, your career was on stake, and tsukishima wasn’t the one who would let you let it down, you weren’t the one as well. ever since the day, when dad took you and oikawa skating, you knew it was your thing, so tossing aside classes and homework to stay a minute longer on the ice-rink wasn’t the worst thing.

when the clock hit 8 in the evening, and your entire body gave up on another jumps, you finally took off skates with an additional help of your boyfriend, who untied them. his hand hung loosely around your shoulders as you walked towards your dad’s car.

“hello, mr. oikawa.” tsukishima greeted your father, opening the door for you. “would you mind if i stay overnight? y/n-san needs a little help with her studies.” he asked politely, a smile rosed on your dad’s face as he nodded.

“thank you.” you let out, exhausted. your head resting on his shoulder with the accompaniment of dim outside, and hushed music from the radio. you got to your house half an hour later, and in the meantime you decided that your boyfriend would stay for the whole weekend since the upcoming exams of yours were supposed to happen on monday.

you sat on your bed, starting off with maths, which surprisingly seemed to be the easiest for you, books surrounding you two as you groaned, falling onto the mattress. “we wouldn’t have to be here if you actually took care of your grades, remember?” he looked at you, eyebrows knitted together.

“i can’t do this.” you whined, hands on top of your faces, tears threatening to fall down your cheeks. it took you ten seconds to get over the little breakdown. “give me another exercise.” you stayed up till two, with a little break for something to eat.

as a reward, you finally got to kiss him as he refused to let you for almost all day, pulling back whenever you leaned to give him a smooch. his hands cupped your, bruised from falling, hips, pulling you as close as he only could. his soft lips moved against his, and you sigh, making him smile, because it feels too good to be kissing him after such a tiring experience.

his hands fell lower on your bare thighs, caressing small circles on your skin. your fingers ruffling through his hair, pulling on them sometimes. the kiss would probably last waaaaay longer, if it wasn’t for tōru, who barged into your room.

“fuck, can’t you two behave?” your brother rolled your eyes at you, grabbing something from your desk, not even sparing you a glare (thank god). “hands off her, i already have a nephew, and don’t need another one.” he remarked, cocking his head to the side. “oh, fumiko will drop off takeru tomorrow.”

“can’t you knock?” you replied, frowning as you watched him, leaning on the door frame. “what? i have to study, i can’t fail the exams or i will lose my place at school.”

“excuse me, what?”

“we have it under control, can you go now, please?” you pleaded, cheeks burning hot, after his comment on making a nephew. when he finally left (after another five minutes of teasing you, of course), you yawned, and focused yourself on the blonde boy next to you.

he swiftly switched off the light, laid down, and waited for you to cling to his side before drifting to sleep way too fast, as you always did. “night, love you.” you whispered, hiding your face in the crook of his neck.

the next two days were exactly the same as the friday evening. tōru took over your shift, as you called it, with takeru, so you and tsukishima could spend more time studying japanese literature and english. when the time of his visit at your house, came to the end, you were a mess, stressing out that the weekend wasn’t enough, and you needed more time to learn something more.

“you’ll do great, okay? i know that.” his fingers held your chin, making you look at him. “you don’t need to worry about it, call me as soon as you know the results, okay?” you nodded, letting him kiss you for the last time, before you bid goodbyes.

he was in the middle of the morning practice, when yachi called for him, his phone in her hand and an incoming call showed on the screen. he excused himself to pick up, and the first thing he heard was-

“I PASSED MATHS!” you shouted through the speaker, your tone so happy that he smiled involuntarily. “but i gotta go, four exams left, call you later, love you.” and before he even got to say i love you back, you hung up the phone.

“what was that, tsukishima-san?” sugawara asked, when the boy stepped into the gymnasium again. “something happened?” he inquired kindly, a worried expression on his face.

“no, no. my girlfriend passed an exam she studied hard for.” he shrugged, not noticing the reactions of his teammates upon hearing the word girlfriend. “shiratorizawa have exams mid-year?” yamaguchi, who seemed to be the only one that knew about kei’s relationship, frowned.

“it’s for the scholarships or something, school wanted to take the scholarship from her since she has shitty grades.” it was one of the first times others witnessed that kind of openness from him, but he could never shut up when it came to talking about you.

“your girlfriend’s a scholarship at shiratorizawa?” kageyama asked, his eyebrows knitted together as he tried to process the information he just received. “oikawa-san’s your girlfriend?”

“the ice-skater?” someone uttered. “the great king has a sister, and she’s your girlfriend? that’s so cool!” hinata exclaimed out of sudden. “you should invite her here sometimes.” someone chimed in.

“she barely has any time, she has a competition soon, so she rarely leaves the ice rink.” he spoke out, before daichi cut off the conversation, before they got back to the practice.

when you finally left the classroom after the last exam, you were on cloud nine, making your way towards the train stop to get to karasuno as soon as possible. you were too ecstatic about passing that you could have a day off training to surprise your boyfriend.

it was already afternoon, when you arrived at the location. the volleyball club was having another practice, so you headed to the gym, the direction showed by one of the students. you peaked your head out through the door, and grinned at tsukishima when he noticed you.

“i aced japanese lit!” you exclaimed quietly, feeling the eyes of his teammates on your back. “so i thought you’d maybe like to go eat something tasty with me after the practice?” you beamed.

“what if you went with me and the guys somewhere? then you could stay overnight, akiteru goes to sendai tomorrow morning, he can drop you off.” he suggested, tugging a stray of your hair behind your ear. you nodded, happily.

“sooo, we’re on the stage where i meet your friends?” you chuckled as he rolled his eyes.

“sure we are.”

You and Kei were as close as siblings could be

I mean, sure you had your problems but like what siblings don't!

While attending school, you needed to find a club

See you and Goshiki had become fast friends

I mean he's a lovely boy so I can see why!

So when our bowl cut bby approached you and asked if you'd like to be the volleyballs team's manager, you instantly said yes!

You knew alot about volleyball from your brother's so you were a natural 💅🏼

You were efficient at all your tasks including taking notes, setting up, waterbottle duty

You name it, YN was superior at it!

That's how you came to befriend the third years

Semi, Reon, Tendou and Yamagata were naturally drawn to you

Honestly stunning and so freaking cute 😍

You have blonde hair like your bothers and gorgeous eyes

You had a natural laugh and all around joyful personality!

Unlike Tsukishima 🙃

But there was one person you struggled with

Our stoic bird man, Ushijima Wakatoshi

He didn't much care if Shiratorizawa had a manager or not

Once you joined he saw the perks to having one

But it was your interactions with the team and sweet deminer that caught his eyes 👀

Let's put it out there, you instantly had a crush on the man ✋🏻 he's 6'3" ffs

I mean HELLOOOO!!!

The only problem is he didn't seem to pay much attention to you

He would occasionally give you a head nod or a "Thanks YN" but otherwise 🌠nothing🌠

However that doesn't mean he didn't like you YN

He's an observer by nature

He would observe how you helped the players, around school and everything

Mans was low key a stalker but like you'd never know ✋🏻

It wasn't until one day, when you were at your locker that Ushijima's feelings came out

You were grabbing what you needed for class, about to shut your locket when the swim captain approached

"Hey YN, what's up?"- swim captain man

"Uhh hey! Not much I'm just headed to class"- you

"Cool. I was wondering if maybe you'd be interested in going out with me this weekend?"- not as good of a captain as Ushiwaka man

"Umm- well-" you trying to find a way to get out of this

"YN's with me"- Ushijima 😑🧍‍♂️

"Oh I didn't know Ushiwaka, my bad"- swim captain now making his exit

You just stare at Ushijima 👁👄👁

"Come on YN, I'll take you to class"- Ushijima

From that day forward, you and Ushijima were inseparable

Everyone just kind of knew you were together

Ushijima would give you a hug or a sweet forehead kiss that would just make your sides melt 😫

But it's when Tsukishima finally blocks Ushiwaka, that the pettiness comes out 💅🏼

Inbetween, you are fixing water bottles and towels when Ushijima comes up behind you, spins you around and plants a huge kiss on you

haikyuu crossover au with ouran hshc like this 'boy' accidentally broke a trophy and as a 'payment' he need to work as ballboy but then the team realized how good he is in recieving balls, like things with volleyball so they thought that he can play, joined the other team in practice match... after watching him play they officially made him a player.

they already played in official game or in the middle of the game before they even realized that 'he' was a girl! the one person who knew that she is a girl from the beginning, just keep his mouth shut because he also thought that the girl is pretty useful and he was having fun watching their shenanigans and how the whole things will unfold

i’m back 😋

decided to make another ao3 recs list hehe, these are always my fav to make

i’ve also decided to completely revamp the way i do my recs lists. before the descriptions were too vague and lazy. now i’ll be giving my own description along with what i thought of the fic. looking back on my old recs lists i cannot believe they got as many notes as they did when they were so crappy LOL

Atsumu x reader, friends to lovers 💗💗. this one has me in a chokehold. so you and atsumu are childhood friends and you’ve been in love with atsumu practically your whole life. you end up leaving for college but then when you finish it you need to get an apartment. atsumu offers to be your roommate (see where i’m going here?). this whole story had me squealing and kicking my legs. i really don’t want to spoil it but i will give you one of my favorite quotes in this book: “But…don’t ya fuckin’ dare think yer 5 years of waitin’ around for her is anywhere near the 11 years I spent lovin’ her,” :) ongoing

Black jackals x reader, mostly platonic but one of the guys will be endgame ;). this one is by the same author as shiratorizawa antics! i adore that story and they both share many of the same elements. if you liked that one you’ll definitely like this one. here, you are the teams social media manager. you go through many heartwarming (and hilarious) things with the team. this story is definitely a nice fluffy getaway from the majority of fics i read haha. it was so fun to read and i loved it. completed

Kuroo x reader, demon kuroo x reader, magic/modern au. do i really have to say more?? this fic…! so you are just the run of the mill museum worker (btw your co worker is tsukki), living a boring ol mundane life. until you find the demon prince kuroo who accidentally traveled to your universe and is now unfortunately stuck due to you destroying the item that brought him here. now, you are stuck with this spoiled demon prince and are forced to help him search for the missing shards of his gem that brought him here so he can travel back home. cmon, tell me that doesn’t immediately want to make you dive into this fic. the tension between reader and kuroo drives me insane. and you’ll come to know that tsukishima can be a little shit. 10/10 so far, ongoing

Iwaizumi x reader, roommates au<333, friends to lovers. you are in need of a roommate. you see an ad for a girl named tooru oikawa looking for a roommate. you jump at the chance and are looking forward to moving in. you think everything’s perfect until you get to your new home and see that tooru isn’t a girl, and that he has a very friend who also happens to be your roommate. oikawa won’t be difficult to live with, but iwaizumi? and his hotness? def gonna be a problem. this is the perfect quick read. it’s so good for when you’re in a reading stump and need a pick me up. iwaizumi makes you feel all mushy inside🥴. and the ending has to be one of the most satisfying fic endings i’ve read recently. completed

Atsumu x reader, enemies to lovers, complicated. you work at a bar. you’re a college student and this is the perfect gig for you. however, miya atsumu never fails to make your life more difficult. he shamelessly flirts with you while he’s with other girls, and never leaves you alone. maybe you’d consider indulging him if he didn’t break your little sisters heart all those years ago. cannot explain how much i love this fic so far. the way atsumu desperately tries to get your attention while you keep brushing him off. and the tension. the fucking sexual tension between reader and atsumu. it has me bitting my nails. i binged this in an entire day. i love atsumus cocky ass and his fucking pining is so obvious but our oblivious readers ass doesn’t even realize it. craving the next chapter. ongoing

Ushijima x reader, faking dating troupe<33. You are a famous ex child star and current professional model. you and professional volleyball player ushijima wakatoshi are paired up together for an ad campaign. to overcome unavoidable rumors, the two of you decide to fake date until things calm down. nothing can go wrong right? hehe. i love ushijima. i just love this man. everytime i read a fic with this man i’m blushing. what i really liked about this fic is was how short it was (occasionally i enjoy a nice quick read) and i liked the build up of reader and ushijimas relationship. it felt very real for me. sometimes when i’m reading the fake dating troupe i feel like the authors sometimes force the relationship. i didn’t feel that at all while reading this fic. ushijima is such a sweetheart and gentlemen here. love this fic please read it <3 completed

Akaashi x reader, sort of enemies to lovers? There’s a challenge going around. Get the attention and “break” the handsome setter of Fukurodani. No one has completed this, no one’s even gotten close. However, when curious little y/n decides to partake in the challenge, she gives akaashi a run for his money. This fic is a guilty pleasure. It was a nice break from the other complicated fics i’m reading. It’s a very easy read and i love it for that. Honestly, a couple times throughout this story akaashi was getting on my last nerve. like just be with reader?? but overall it’s such a fun read. one of the best ways i can describe this story is idiots in love. oh and konoha is a little interesting in this fic too ;) completed

Atsumu x reader, enemies to lovers. you are the manager for Inarizaki. you and atsumu have never gotten along. the setter has always been a pain and you thought maybe things could improve over time. they didn’t. but now you’re being forced to tutor him, will things get better? this fic is hardcore enemies. atsumu and reader hate each other. this story is still in its early stages, so we’ve only seen a little build up with reader and atsumu. but i love the hatred between them. it’s so raw. it’s not the bullshit enemies to lovers where they kinda don’t like each other. they strongly dislike if not hate each other. i cannot wait to see this story blossom and progress. ongoing

Ushijima x reader, soulmate au. in a world where you are bound to someone for life, all you want is to be with your soulmate. however, after finding him, and living with him, what do you do when he loves volleyball more than he’ll ever love you? i’ve said this before, but i tend to stray away from soulmate aus. this one is one of the few exceptions. honestly as much as i adore ushijima, he could be severely annoying throughout this story (which was intentional). this story does have some scenes which may be triggering for some which the author includes in her tags, so check it out and don’t read this one if you’re uncomfortable with those topics. overall, this story is a good example of how good a soulmate au can be without forcing it too much. completed

First off, Karasuno is B L E S S E D

Come on, 3 managers???

Ugh say less!

Hinata now thinks they are a super powerhouse

Suga says that’s not a real thing

Kageyama kicks Hinata for saying something so stupid 🙄

Anyways, you are a first year like Yachi

Actually Yachi dragged you into this because she was nervous

She had told you about this hot girl who had approached her and asked her to be the boys volleyball manager

You were a bit nervous to say the least

It wasn’t necessarily because your were athletic or didn’t know anything about volleyball

But, in the past, you’d been bullied about your size

And of course, these guys were athletes and they would be fit

To your surprise, however, they said nothing about your weight

Heck they didn’t even seem to notice you were plus sized

Literally all you had to do was breathe YN and these boys would faint 😂

Karasuno treats all their managers like queens and is super protective

They adored you, Yachi and Kiyoko so much and appreciated everything you did for them

You threw them a towel? Eternally grateful 🙌🏻

Filled their water bottle? Excessive thank you’s

Took detailed notes? Framed them and read them everyday

Literally it would be hard to find a more thankful team!

However, not everyone was as nice as Karasuno

You’d faced bullies in middle school and high school

Thankfully most of the people at your high school were pretty decent and nice

But when tournaments came around 👀

Well let’s just say not everyone extended a warm welcome

It was inter high and you were tasked with filling up the water bottles

Honestly, it was your favorite task because you didn’t have to deal with Hinata and Kageyama fighting or Noya and Tanaka peacocking in front of the other team 🙄

As you filled the bottles, you noticed a group of guys gathering behind you

You thought nothing of it, thinking that maybe they were waiting for the water fountain

After you finished, you moved out of the way, turning to smile at them

“You can have the water fountain now! Sorry I was filling up my teams bottles!”

The guys all stared at you with disgust on their faces before one spoke up

“There was no way we could get to the fountain anyways with you taking up that much space.”

The guys all burst in laughter as you watched them

At first, you didn’t think it was due to your size and maybe you were just in the middle of both fountains

“Oh I’m sorry. I would have moved over for you.”

The guys all just laughed as another one spoke

“Not like we’d have any space with your fat ass taking up both fountains!”

Hearing this worlds, your heart instantly sank

But those idiots weren’t done 😑

Because if there’s anything we know about bullies, it’s that they do so to make themselves feel better

And these dummies must have really been feeling like shit…

“Honestly I didn’t even know there were two fountains behind her she’s so big!”

“Damn she’s like a walking billboard for Karasuno!”

The guys laughed as tears began to fill your eyes and your lip began to quiver

These guys were jerks who were hitting every one of your insecurities

And worst of all, you were frozen as the tears began to fall

“Awe did we make the baby hippo cry?” One of the laughed

You tried your hardest to move but you were frozen, unable to run from the bullies

However 👀👀 as luck would have it, you weren’t alone

Because Yachi had been sent to help you

And she saw the entire exchange 😌

She quickly turned, running back to the gym to grab the guys

Kiyoko saw Yachi frantically running and asked her what happened. Panting, Yachi recalled the events

Instantly the atmosphere in the gym changed

Without saying a word, Daichi, Noya and Tanaka took off

The rest of the team following quickly behind

Even Tsukishima was moving quickly 😱

When they say you, still standing there and crying

Oh boy : D

I would not want to be those bullies right about now

Kiyoko and Yachi ran to you and hugged you

“Are you ok Yn?” Kiyoko asked as you shook your head and cried harder

Oof- someone prepare the burial grounds because it’s about to go D O W N

Daichi walked right up to them and got in their face, Suga, Tanaka and Noya right on his heels

“What the hell did you just say to our manager?” Daichi boomed as your head shot up to see the team right in front of you

“What us? Nothing we were just waiting for the water fountain,” one of the jerks said as Suga glared at them

“That’s not what we heard you were doing,” Suga spoke as Tanaka and Noya began to crack their knuckles

By this time, a crowd was starting to gather

Seijoh, Shiratorizawa, Date tech…

The whole gangs here!

And let me just say, they do not look happy

“We heard you said something to our BEAUTIFUL Manager. Mind repeating that…” Tanaka said, cracking his neck from side to side

The guys faces began to pale as Karasuno’s eyes burned with anger

You didn’t want anyone to fight because you knew that they could get kicked out of the tournament

“Guys hey it’s ok, let’s just go,” you said, wiping your eye as Kiyoko and Yachi grabbed your arm

“I think we need to teach these jerks a lesson!” Noya snarled

Nobody was going to stop this

Literally Kunimi was filming because he knew Karasuno was not to be messed with

Heck even Oikawa and Iwaizumi were ready to back Karasuno up!

And because jerks don’t know how to keep their mouths shut, they continued to fan the flames

“Come on guys, she’s huge! How can we not comment on that? I mean I felt the floors move when she walked here!” One of them chuckled

Wrong thing to say bestie

“Let’s take this outside!” Tanaka said, grabbing the jerk by the collar and pulling him towards the exit

The other bullies tried to intervene but were stopped by the wall of Date Tech

“Yeah you ain’t going nowhere,” Futakuchi smirked as Aone glared at the boys

The bullies rn 👉🏻👁️👄👁️

“Hey man let me go! Listen I’m sorry ok!” The one being dragged by Tanaka cried

You didn’t want anyone to get hurt or expelled from the tournament because of you

You stood tall, wiping your eyes as you left Kiyoko and Yachi’s side

“YN wait!” Yachi yelled as you approached Tanaka and the bully

“Tanaka please don’t! I don’t want you to get hurt or kicked out! Karasuno has worked too hard for this,” you spoke as Tanaka looked from you to the bully

He shoved the bully to the ground as he glared down at him

“You’re lucky city boy!”

You breathed a sigh of relief as Tanaka walked away, grabbing your hand

Unfortunately the bully and his now broken ego weren’t don’t 🙄

“I knew Karasuno was a bunch of wimps!”

Daichi, Noya and Tanaka turned around and were ready

“Let’s go city boy! Two hits, I hit you, you hit the ground!” Tanaka shouted

Before you could stop them, they tore down fr towards the boy

Your eyes widened in shock as you prepared for a fight

But thankfully, an Angel shined down from the heavens

An Angel in the form of one tall, rather salty first year

The king of comebacks, Tsukishima 💅

“A bunch of wimps? You’re the one picking on a girl who was filling up water bottles for her team,” Tsukishima spat as Daichi, Noya and Tanaka halted

Everyone turned to look at Tsukishima who had now walked over to the boy and was looking over him

“Where is your manager? Oh wait, you don’t even have one do you? Jealous much? Or maybe it’s because your pathetic asses can’t find any girls who are even remotely interested in being your managers.”

The bully glared up at Tsukishima was was now smirking

“Werent you that team who couldn’t even make it past the first round last time? Yeah that’s right you got your asses handed to you in straight sets.”

“Yeah well at least our team doesn’t isn’t known as being fallen champions!” The bully spat back as Tsukishima laughed, bending over and making eye contact with the jerk

“At least people know who we are, nobody even knows your name.”

“Yeah well-”

“And now that everyone does know who you are, I think they all want to crush you,” Suga added as the boy gulped, looking around at everyone who was glaring at him

“Gee I wonder who your first opponent is?” Oikawa interjected

“That would be us,” Ushiwaka said, arms crossed and glaring at the man

“Oh I’d hate to be your right now!” Tendo laughed, coming from behind Ushiwaka

The boy got to his feet as Tsukishima continued to smirk, everyone still staring at him

“Come on man let’s get out of here,” one of his teammates said

The bully just scoffed before turning around and walking away

Everyone watched as they left for their gym before turning to you

“Are you ok Yn?” Asahi asked as you nodded

“I’ll be ok thank you but you guys didn’t have to do that,” you softly spoke

“No way we were going to sit back and let someone say those things YN!” Hinata shouted

“Yeah that’s why we turned Tsuki lose on his ass!” Yamaguchi smiled

“Shut up Tadashi,” Tsuki said as he began walking back the gym

“Sorry you had to deal with that Yn. If you ever need help, don’t be afraid to ask,” Iwaizumi stepped up

“We are perfectly capable of protecting our manager but thanks,” Daichi growled

“Ok enough of that, let’s go,” Suga said, pushing Daichi back to the gym

Kiyoko took your hand and began to walk away when Ushiwaka stepped in your way

“I will crush them for you Yn,” he said, voice monotone and face passive

You just smiled wide before hugging him

Ushijima 👉🏻😐🫂

Everyone else 👉🏻😳😱

“What the hell Yn where is my hug? I was ready to mess up my spiking hand for you!” Tanaka cries as Ennoshita smacked him

You rolled your eyes before hugging the winged spiker

Tanaka, acting like he’s never been hugged by a girl before 👉🏻👁️💧👄💧👁️

“I WANT A HUG TOO YN!”

“ME TOO!”

“YN look what you started!” Daichi yelled as a line had now formed in front of you, all the guys wanting a hug
