In celebration of reaching 900 followers!

Ever since I started playing the Globetrotter challenge by @moonfi; I've been creating a collection of UI Widget style templates. This collection includes 20(ish) different templates for you to use in your gameplay screenshots. I'm hoping I did my best to make this as user-friendly as possible; but if you have any questions or notice something off - don't hesitate to message me or send an ask!

[Terms of Use] Do: Use & edit as much as you want and/or know how to. Don't: Reupload & claim as your own. Do: Link back to this post if asked where they're from.

[You Need] Fonts: April | Lemonmilk | Kids Handmade TS4 Icons: deathbypufferfish | w-sims | TheSimKid (I've had L'Universims' icons before they were hacked but as far as I know they've moved to a new website so download from there at your own risk.)

[Tips & Hints]

Open the awkwardwhims psd collection file in Photoshop, then drag & drop the folder or group of templates onto your image.

The photo album template was inspired by @folkbreeze (definitely check out their resources, they're all so nice!) & other various examples I saw online.

Resize the template by selecting the folder as a whole; resizing individual layers may makes things unaligned.

Feel free to change background colors/fonts/etc as much as you want.

The text message template has 3 styles: sender, green receiver & blue receiver. There are also reaction icons & a separate reaction bar.

For the to-do list template I didn't include every aspiration icon (I was trying to keep this file as small as possible) but you can download this pack by @deathbypufferfish that has all the aspiration icons you'll need. However, it may be missing some of the newer aspiratons.

When adding photos (album cover/recent photos/etc) use a clipping mask.

The weather template includes all the different weather icons, so be sure to hide/unhide the one that applies.

For the new transaction template, make sure to only change the number of the price otherwise the Simoleon symbol will get changed to Times New Roman.

The notification message template is for life events, bad events & default game notifications (ie: legacy player, etc).

Annon requested this so here it is! These are psd files that can be opened in Photoshop, Photopea, or any other program that can open psd files. [PSD] ⌜Camera UI Overlay⌟

A recreation of the camera overlay for your screenshots and story tellers out there. Mimics the camera mode while giving you complete control of how you compose your shots (whether it be in-game screenies or CAS pics). Enjoy!

Made in Photoshop, can be accessed in Photopea (see end of post for more info), all done in vectors and layer styles. Info & guides under the cut.

// Overview

Every layer has been named and arranged in a way that hopefully makes sense. If you find the file overwhelming, try disabling/enabling each folder and see what it does.

// Template sizes

Square

Portrait - 3 : 4

Landscape - 4 : 3

Landscape - 16 : 9

.PSD Guide

// Customizable layers are color-coded

Gray-coded folders contain the layers below:

green for pictures

orange for moveable layers

red for toggleable layers

// Ctrl + right click to bring up layer selection

or enable [Auto-Select] with the move tool active to move layers on the go. Use this to easily move the orange-coded layers.

// How to resize overlay

Do not resize the folders using the transform tool. If you do so, layer styles (drop shadow, stroke, etc.) will not get properly resized.

Instead, resize the canvas with the Image Size option. In the pop-up, click the cog wheel at top right, and enable Scale Styles.

// How to insert overlay into your screenshot

Resize the canvas so that the overlay fits with your screenshot dimension and then save. This way, you get a template size that is tailored to your screenshots. Or pick the file that works best.

Copy & paste your selected template set into your screenshot.

Make adjustments if needed. You can hide the red-coded layers or move around orange-coded layers. You can also hide any folders you want to exclude, like the zoom UI for example.

Move around folders while you're zoomed out. It'll help reduce the movement lag.

One template set consists of those 3 layers; a folder containing the template, a layer to place your image, and a mask layer that fits with the frame.

// Image tip

Layers marked green are where you can copy your image to. There are 2 ways you can use it:

Disable/hide the "mask for selection" layer if you simply want to have the overlay on top of your screenshot. Or,

Copy your screenshot into the layer named "! Your Image Here !"

You can then edit the background layer to add blur, darken it, etc. while keeping the image within the frame free of those effects.

// For Photopea users:

One main issue Photopea has is if you try to resize the canvas or use the transform tool, it will reset the box corners.

One way to prevent this problem is to convert each folder as Smart Object (right click a folder, then select the option to do so). Or, if you simply want to move the folders around, do it via Ctrl + Drag instead of the transform tool.

To access the folder contents from the Smart Object, double click the thumbnail and it will bring up a new window, which will contain all the layers.

Sims BeReal Template

Just a very simple template of this edit the sims posted. Idk if anyone has done it before, but here it is anyway! It's the exact same proportions as the original posts.

available for Photoshop (.psd) or just as an image (.png)

image has two versions - v1 has a shadow for the username to stand out, v2 doesn't

the Photoshop version requires the Sims Sans font to edit text

WELL, I did it. I had to redo the whole page, so it’s not the exact same texture or font, but I tried to respect the pics placement from the original etc.

Now you have a blank page to put your doodles about your classmates and their pics !

Hey y'all! I've really felt like making more cc lately, but I'm determined to upload some more of my completed recolors before I hop into any new projects. Here we have two summer themed recolors, a dress and a jumpsuit! Details, credits and download links below the cut.

DETAILS:

These are recolors of @joliebean's jungle dress and @akalukery's plunge halter jumpsuit. Mesh is included thanks to the original creators generous tou's, but I recommend you check out and download the originals as well.

the dress has 15 swatches and the jumpsuit has 12, various summer themed patterns for both.

Both have custom thumbnails for the first swatch.

You can see an unedited in-game photo of some more swatches right here.

these definitely aren't perfect recolors, but honestly I think they work just fine and I liked how they ended up so I figured I'd share.

P.S sorry that i'm never going to use any other preview style for CAS cc, it's just too easy to use this template and I do not have the energy to do proper previews anymore especially if i'm going to be uploading a bunch of stuff, which i plan to!

A set of hand drawn highlighter for your sims with a total of ~22 variations! Since I built this modularly, it was pretty easy to create the amount of variations I did :D
