🇬🇧 SWINGING SIXTIES
"Groovy, mod, colorful." (This song was legit stuck in my head the entire time I was creating these models.)
Unexpectedly, a 1960's-inspired lookbook! This one was something of a passion project. ( ‾́ ◡ ‾́ )
My main inspiration being this wonderful piece of artwork! You can see that for the "Cosmo-Corps Style" and "Psychedelic" outfits I had to get creative. ( ╥ω╥ )
For the Cosmo-Corps look I took inspo from this photo instead of following the artwork. (And yes I know the Psychedelic Sim sticks out like a sore thumb but shhh she's beautiful, let her have her anachronistic fun in the 60's.) As per usual, CC used on each look will be listed down below!

Ankle Braces

Diabetic Set, Part 1
It's finally here! Well, a part of it is. I want to do more disability/accessibility cc, and this is the start! :)
This is just a simple little set with an insulin vial, an open box of insulin needles, and closed box of insulin needles.

Styling Inspiration
I do a lot of research when I am working on these makeup sets and then when I’m styling the shoots, I do more, lol. When I’m working on the makeup itself, I’m looking at vintage ads, tutorials, and historical costuming resources like glamourdaze and vintage dancer. I also found a website geared towards hair stylists and makeup artists in the film industry talking about how to style the characters in a production in such a way that they are appropriate to the period, but also distinct people.
For Cara (brown hair), I was thinking about department store 60s. Rosie (red hair) was inspired by Mary Quant ads from 1967 and 1968. For Coco (center, black hair), I looked at pictures of Mo Town girl groups like The Supremes. Honey’s look (blond hair), was created while talking with my mother about how people dressed during the time. I was able to corroborate her memories with photos of young women wearing sweaters and miniskirts. She specifically was telling me about how she had a sweater in a pattern and tights that matched that she’d wear with a brown corduroy miniskirt and low heals like this. Mei (black hair, right) was directly inspired by searches for Japanese fashion in the 1960s. I found some catalog scans that showed a lot of knee socks, mary jane shoes, and patterned minidresses like this. I was puzzling over her hair, but most of the models either had bobs like this or long straight hair.
