Happy December!

Last spring I was working on building the Hotel de Charost and in order to more accurately decorate it, I needed a few specific objects, including a daybed and canopy. I looked around the internet and no one had made what I needed for Sims 4. However, Cashcraft had made almost exactly what I needed for Sims 3. So I converted the set including the canopy and made some new textures for it. Although I shared a post including pictures of some of these conversions, I wasn't able to ascertain if Cashcraft had a TOS governing sharing her items as conversions. No one on Tumblr or S4S's forums could give me an idea (and her TSR page lacks one), so I shelved the idea of sharing it. Until September, when someone pointed me toward others who had done conversions of Cashcraft's work. I reached out to those of them who allowed messages and one responded encouraging me to go ahead and share them. So here they are! That being said, if anyone is in contact with Cashcraft and she wishes me to take these items down, please let me know and I'll remove them.

The Danbury Regency Collection (Part One) for Sims 3 can be found here, on TSR.

The Danbury Collection for TS4 includes 8 items, all of which are base game compatible.

Some Useful Notes:

The Daybed has slots on it so the pillows can be added without needing to use the move objects cheat.

There are also slots on the footstool.

The chair and oblong pillow are seen above in their medium LOD form: they have extra details in their high form.

Textures include both Cashcraft's original textures and several recolors.

Monroe got a guitar for his birthday, and he's been playing it everywhere! Getting up to level 3 in just a couple of days

He also decided he wanted a new job & to join an afterschool activity so the movie theatre and music club seemed like a good fit 🎶

And he's been helping out Do over the last few days, filling in all the holes that were left after the huge pink-diamond mining operation!

Seriously, the backyard looked absolutely destroyed once Do was finished lol ⬇️

Cléo a réagit comme je l'escomptais. Elle s'est drapée dans cette espèce de tristesse offensée qui lui donne ses airs de comédienne de théâtre et elle commente sa peine à longueur de temps sans pour autant accepter de parler clairement ou d'être consolée. J'ai beaucoup de mal à communiquer avec elle parfois. Elle s'enferme depuis tous les après-midis dans le bureau où elle écrit quelque chose qu'elle appelle son "journal de guerre".

Transcription :

Cléopâtre « Vous avez bientôt terminé ? »

Madame Legens « Aucune idée Mademoiselle, je ne suis pas mécanicienne. Vous devriez prendre un livre plutôt que de vous morfondre en en soupirant devant la cheminée. »

Cléopâtre « Je n’ai pas l’esprit à ça. Ma tristesse est bien trop profonde pour lire des histoires. J’ai besoin d’écrire mon journal, il n’y a que ça qui puisse me consoler. »

Madame Legens « Ne soyez pas si dramatique. »

Cléopâtre « Grand-Mère dit la même chose. Et si jamais c’est ma nature d’être dramatique ? »

Madame Legens « Vous êtes trop jeune. »

Cléopâtre « Je suis une petite fille que son Papa n’aime pas, j’ai des raisons pour être triste jusqu’à la fin de ma vie. Quand je serai une femme, je ne porterai que du noir et j’aurai un chapeau avec une voilette si épaisse que personne ne pourra voir mes yeux. Comme les dames en deuil. »

Madame Legens « Et c’est pour cette raison que vous avez cassé la machine à écrire de votre Papa ? »

Cléopâtre « Non, j’ai fait une faute de grammaire et en essayant de retirer la feuille j’ai entendu un clac et un grrrr. Et le touches ne pouvaient plus bouger après ça. Vous voyez Madame Legens, j’ai des raisons d’être triste. Je suis une petite fille mal aimée mauvaise en grammaire et qui casse le seul objet qui lui apporte du bonheur… *soupir*»

Madame Legens « Je vois. J’irai en parler avec votre Maman. »

Cléopâtre « Si vous voulez. Elle ne peut rien faire pour moi de toute façon. »

Printemps 1918, Al Simhara, Égypte (15/20)

Toutes ces émotions ne firent qu’attiser une passion qui était déjà présente et n’attendait qu’à être ravivée : celle de l’Egypte. Ma réserve de haschisch s’atténuait (vous ai-je dit à quel point il devient difficile de s’en procurer ?), et les évènements récents m’avaient fait en accroître ma consommation. Ma jambe allait mieux, et l’occasion semblait donc parfaite pour repartir. Le problème, c’est que cette affaire de mariage avorté me laissait peu de ressources. J’ai donc pris une décision importante, qui a été vivement contestée par mon épouse, et j’ai profité de la présence de l’oncle Joseph à Hylewood pour discuter affaires avec lui. Pour financer mon expédition, que je voulais complètement indépendante de toute équipe de recherche, j’ai pris la décision de vendre les élevages Le Bris - ou plutôt, d’en confier la vente à l’oncle Joseph, puisque c’est lui qui les administre en parallèle de son épiscopat. Cette fois-ci, nulle entrave économique ou nul chef de chantier irascible ne me retiendrait : j’avais pris la décision de me rendre en Egypte en temps qu’archéologue indépendant.

[Transcription] Jules Le Bris : Si je prends en considération le prix des billets pour le bateau… Sans compter le train… Jules Le Bris : Peut-être la même somme par mois pour l’hébergement… Je peux certainement économiser en vivant sous une tente. Jules Le Bris : Il reste encore la nourriture, et il faudra bien que je compte la moitié, mensuellement… Jules Le Bris : Et à peu près la même chose pour les frais administratifs… Jules Le Bris : Le mariage de Louise a coûté si cher, et ce maudit traiteur qui n’a rien voulu rembourser… Jules Le Bris : Mais peut-être que si je vendais… Non, quand même pas… Pourtant… Jules Le Bris : Si.
