a little tribute to the man thats got me into dsmp in the first place. ill miss him a lot
Tumblr media Tumblr media
inspiration from my first dsmp fanart and my get well soon art. really reminded me how such of a big portion of the pandemic was spent watching these nerds play in their minecraft server. but during that time, ive made genuine internet friends that i love and have improved so much in my art as well as experiment new art medias.
i was sure he would be alright, that hed be back to playing minecraft with his friends. but cancer doesn't work like that. it was something that would forever impact his life if he was still alive today.
i'll never forget you man. i'll go on with my life and whether i pursue art or not or if i'm even alive i'll never forget. technoblade never dies, along with the impact he's made to all of us

The King laid down his sword, battle fought and won. He enjoyed the spar, to keep his practice in. He could stay out here awhile longer.
He removed his crown and set it on the ground next to him, wiping his brow with his good hand.
A sound behind him; stone crumbling and rubble tumbling. The King turned, watching as the Hermit emerged from the cliffside preceded by his pickaxe.
The two looked at each other for a moment, expressions neutral.
“Was ‘at you, thunderin’ upstairs?” the Hermit asked, then.
The King tilted his head in a gesture of admittance, allowing himself a proud smirk. “I promised I would.”
The Hermit grunted. His wooden leg made alternating footsteps echo off the stone as he stepped forward and lowered himself onto another rock beside the one the King had taken as his throne, a sighing groan escaping him as he sat and stretched out his aching limbs. He leaned his pickaxe against his seat, and looked out across the expanse.
“They kick you out at the pearly gates?” the King asked.
“Nah. Not my scene,” said the Hermit. “I prefer t’ keep t’ myself.”
“You’re here now,” said the King.
“I’m here now.”
The two sat in silence for a minute, watching the views laid out before them and so far below.
“It’s always so busy,” the Hermit said. “So many people, so much going on. You youngsters have so much energy.”
“The world moves fast,” said the King. He paused, and then added, “People move on, but they don’t let go.” He gruffed a laugh. “It’s a weird mix of rush and dragging heels. Running forwards while looking back over their shoulders.”
“So many people,” the Hermit repeated.
They were silent for a minute more.
“So many people,” the King murmured. He looked down at the crown beside him, then picked it up and held it, studying the colourful gems set into the gold. “D’you hear them?”
“Yeah.” The Hermit’s eyes crinkled, a smile hidden behind his white beard. “It’s nice to know they still care.”
“Nice to be remembered.” The King grinned too, raising his head again to gaze out at the world. “Nice to have had a positive impact on people.”
The Hermit grunted in agreement. “Yeah, it’s nice to be missed,” he said, “but it’s also good to see them carrying on, livin’ life.”
The King nodded. “That too.” His eyes sparkled. “I hope they know I’m proud of them.”
“They do.”
The two of them were silent for a little while more.
“Death is weird,” the Hermit said, “especially for the living. But they have the strength to cope.”
The King nodded. With a light groan, the Hermit put his hands on his knees and pushed himself back onto his mismatched feet, and picked up his pickaxe once more. Turning back towards his tunnel, the Hermit patted the King companionably on his good shoulder. The King inclined his head in acknowledgement, and the soft tap-step of the Hermit’s feet retreated back into the cliffside, soon joined by the melodic rhythm of his pickaxe against stone.
The King stayed where he was for a time longer, observing with fondness the world below. His people, his Kingdom. Those who loved and supported him, even still. And his eyes shone, and he grinned again.
He stood and put the crown back on his head, and took up his blade, and raised it to the sky and yelled, laughing as the air shook with a power of sound and light, knowing that they would see it and know that he still fought for them.
A little writing inspired by this art that I did

So some friends of mine have been working for nearly two years now on a cover of Voices by Derivakat and it's finally out!!!
youtube
There's like over 10 different languages that they've managed to translate into and then SING??? It's a really cool project that really emphasises the nature of Techno's voices (many different people and cultures but coming together for him) and, idk I just think it's neat.

honestly i can never fully put into words how proud I am of tommy for all he's achieved in such short time.
but i am proud of my streamer for pouring so much into the dsmp and loving it and going just so into it, and the fact he wrote the entire disc finale by himself?? holy shit !!!
that was such a good video and encapsulated what so many of us have said for months about the dsmp, that it is a beautiful messy little server that we all fell in love with and poured hours upon hours of work into via art and animatics and songs and everything !!!
and the fact that tommy knows and recognizes what makes the dsmp so special :')))))
the techno mention near the end made me cry tbh, we know how much he meant to tommy. and you could tell it meant a lot to tommy to talk about it all.
i don't wanna see ANYONE complain about how tommy didn't go in details about the exile arc, as ofc that wasn't what he was gonna do. the video was about how the dsmp impacted him on a personal note, actual in-depth lore talk ain't gonna happen on a video like that.
i am just proud that tommy made that video, he really put his all into it.
