I got a transfer proof lipstick today and it kind of sparked something in me when I kissed my partner and it didn’t stain.

Eddie Munson would take “transfer proof” as a challenge. Maybe he was in a heavy make out session and noticed there wasn’t sticky lipstick marks on him when there should have been. He would spend hours trying to get any sort of mark because goddammit if he gets bested by a lipstick of all things.

Breaking away from the kiss, you see a string of spit connecting your lip to his. Giggling, you wipe it away.

Eddie frowns, presses a hard kiss to your mouth, pulls away, and frowns again.

"What's wrong baby?"

"Why isn't your lipstick smudging?" He holds his hand firmly to your hip, tracing circles with his thumb. You're sitting in his lap, sitting side saddle, movie playing in the background, forgotten.

"Oh, its transfer proof! See?" Taking your pointer finger, you rub it across your bottom lip and show him your clean fingertip. Your lips remain cherry red.

"Witchcraft!" Eddie exclaims, eyes wide. You giggle, used to his antics by now. Pulling you forward, he brings you in for a devastating kiss. The ground feels like its dropping out from under you, you start to feel lightheaded as he moves his mouth over yours with as much passion as he can muster. You break away for a second.

"Eddie, what are you doing?" You're panting, eyes searching his.

"C'mere." He pulls you in by the nape of your neck. "For science."

I've talked before about how the way people treat suicide can be unintentionally devastating to the suicidal person, but I don't think I really ever said how to avoid that.

Speaking about suicide in how selfish it "is" ("think about how you'll transfer your pain to your loved ones!") might seem like a way to put logical sense into the suicidal person, but, honestly? It runs the risk of massively increasing their shame and guilt about being suicidal. Suicide is not inherently a revenge fantasy or a way to "get back" at someone's loved ones, so when the suicidal person is treated like a criminal of a "crime" they haven't even committed yet, you can imagine how unhelpful that can become.

Instead, if you want to point out how cherished your person is, frame their relationships as something they can keep fostering.

"Your cat will miss you :(!!!!" becomes "you and your cat seem close, right? I'm sure it's beautiful having a close friend like that!" and maybe include ways that they and their cat are close and meaningful to each other, tailored to that relationship.

That's only one example, but when you shift the focus away from why that person should repent and feel guilty for being suicidal, you can instead focus on why they would live for that reason. See how you can frame that as a positive? Whatever is keeping that person tethered should never be used as a bludgeon, I think, because then you're taking away why they're living, the positivity of why they are here. Whatever they are here for should be remembered often and honoured.

I do agree with you on the first half. Even I almost found myself out of a job because of those overseeing the Justice System. Just as the PIC seems to have corrupt individuals in the inside, I have no doubt the same applies to the Bar Association.

As for the second half, Mr. Gavin wasn't in prison at the time. He was in the County Jail in the process of being tried for the murder of Shadi Smith. Under such circumstances, he is allowed to wear comfortable clothes until he is tried properly, and even in prison, prisoners are sometimes given normal clothes for visitation hours.

Believe me, my former mentor is given the very same treatment and it is because of wealth. Wealth can determine how well a person is treated before trial, but once imprisoned, they're treated no better than their mates

insaaaaane of me to think about jiang cheng getting to interact with suibian after wei wuxian's death and its just. he leaves it and doesn't want it, wei wuxian's unwillingness to use suibian being one of the first signs something is very wrong. or he tries to keep it but he never tries drawing it out of the sheath for the same reason and because he killed his brother. or he's keeping it the same way that he kept it during the months wei wuxian was missing when jiang cheng still hoped he could give it back and everything would be normal again. Or he draws it out and just doesn't know how to even begin to interpret that - did his brother love him enough that even if its sealed to everyone else, suibian still allows jiang cheng through? Id kill myself

Yu-Gi-Oh AU chapter where both Lyla and Iphigenia get their decks stolen by some fellow students of Duel Academy looking to cause trouble

Lyla and Iffie go after one another's decks instead of their own, and this culminates in a scene where Lyla has to duel using Iffie's deck (maybe it's a wager to get Iffie's deck back, or maybe it's something unrelated that comes up after)

through this exercise, Lyla comes to understand how her friend's deck is similar to hers (in that it swarms the field with individually weak monsters) and how it's different (in that it then uses them for the summon of Dystopia the Despondent)

and in true YGO fashion, she comes to understand more about Iffie herself through this exercise, and Lyla has a deep and thoughtful moment about the infinite similarities and differences between herself and Iffie

meanwhile, Iffie simply shoved the kid who stole Lyla's deck and took it back that way, and she's been waiting idly for most of the chapter
