Here’s a collection of rancid posts from the transabled community that actually make me want to puke. Some part of me wishes that just for a day, these people could experience what it’s like to have a disability or even cancer. I think they would beg for someone to take it away and regret everything. Instead, I honestly wish that you would all get some serious mental help because the problem isn’t you not having a disorder/illness, the problem is you wanting one. If you need me to trigger tag any more things in this post please let me know.

While I'm at this rage train, disabled is not an identity. At all. In no circumstance.

This blog is not safe for so-called "transabled" people. I block on sight. Don't even bother interacting because you're wasting your time AND outing yourself.

You're ableist and it's fetishy and gross. You can post all the positivity you want but that doesn't change the fact that your behavior is disgusting and you should look into getting psychiatric help.

Because the only thing that could cause you to think this way is a psychiatric condition such as BIID. People who are in therapy for their BIID or recognize they need therapy are welcome to interact <3

That's not an excuse to be an ableist, though. Disabled people are trying to get healthcare as is and you think you deserve to be treated differently because you want to be disabled? Are you LARPing rn?

You people want this so badly you choose to attempt to appropriate an entire marginalized community's experience. And it's the same with a lot of so-called endogenic systems.

Lots of overlap in shitty behavior here. I'm just saying what I have a feeling we're all thinking. ✨

TransADHD (Reclaimed)

god sometimes I stumble into pro-transabled circles by accident (today it was because I looked up what transid meant) and it's so baffling in the worst way possible. "I want to acquire a phobia" ok so you want to make your life harder with absolutely no upsides. That is stupid. You are stupid for wanting that. It's so fetishizing too because you know they want to be disabled because of the perceived attention and care that disabled people get without understanding that we don't actually get that and actually we just suffer most of the time. Being disabled isn't all being comforted and taken care of it's mostly being abandoned by people you thought were your friend.

Like the whole thing just wreaks of ableism if I'm honest. The total lack of understanding and unwillingness to learn about what disabled people go through, the discrimination, the social isolation, the doubt from others, and wanting to wear our diagnoses like accessories. The simplest way I can put it is that if being disabled was a culture, transabled would be cultural appropriation. It's taking the "fun" parts of our "culture" without bothering to learn anything about us.

i saw someone, who is “anti-purity culture,” saying that people who are “pro-censorship” have black & white thinking & shouldn’t be spoken to because “anti’s won’t change” & also because cbt/dbt therapists say black & white thinking is bad like… have you forgotten about autistic people? cbt/dbt doesn’t inherently work on us. this is just how i speak & morality is a big part of who i am. just because you don’t like that or think it’s “unhealthy” doesn’t mean you get to gate-keep real life people with real disabilities & modify terms to exclude people to your liking.

Okay, maybe I'm just stupid, but what is this "transabled"? I cant really understand what side I'm supposed to be on cause I have no idea what we're talking about..

Keep in mind I’m not an expert about the transabled community, but everything I’ve heard about them sucks.

Transabled is a term that I’ve seen defined multiple different ways, but more or less means someone who is not disabled who wants to become or feels they should be disabled. Usually this is about physical disabilities, however I’ve seen transabled people who claim to be “trans-autistic” and stuff like that.

I dislike transabled people because they treat disability like something desirable. It feels weirdly fetishizing and icky for people to want a disability. They almost treat it like an aesthetic, which pisses me off because as a physically disabled person, being disabled impacts every part of my life. I'm not able to do so many things I want to do because of my disability, and people want that.

Plus most transabled people I've ever met or interacted with have been ableist or accused me of internalized ableism for being confused as to why someone would want to be disabled.
