people who can't pass credit checks still need housing. people who don't have credit at all still need housing. people who can't pass criminal background checks still need housing. people who have been evicted before still need housing. people with past unpaid rent still need housing. people who can't take out loans still need housing. people who can't pay off their mountains of debt still need housing. people who don't or can't work still deserve housing. housing is not an "investment". housing is not the act of "borrowing" property from someone else.
housing is necessary for human survival, no matter how poor, disabled, addicted, insane, or bad with money someone is. every single person on this planet requires housing. everyone. money does not belong in the affairs of housing. housing does not wait for money to come. housing is a human right, that EVERY human deserves, regardless of how much money they make, if any.

Heretic Pride (Jordan Lake Sessions Volume 1)
Sometimes I get this overwhelming urge to listen to a song. Like it takes up all of my thought, bubbles up from my recesses and infects my bones. I can barely keep myself from dancing to it in the silence of my head.
Today it was this song. I really wanted to get a tattoo from this band for a long time. And I originally thought Id get something based off of their other song, Training Montage.
My tat went through a few iterations in my head. First I wanted to get some boxing gloves- perfect for Training Montage. But this song means so much for me in a longer term sense. Training Montage got me through my separation.
I started listening to the song even closer and that line “transfiguration’s gonna come for me at last, and I’ll burn brighter than the sun” is a banger, but--
My tattoo is across my chest. The chest, that is mine, made mine through my own transfiguration.
Transfiguration isn't GONNA come- it has come.
Transfiguration has come for me at last-
And I'm burning brighter than the sun.

disabled trans person needs help paying first month's rent after recovering from being homeless for 6 months
hello, i have a post about this on my other blog @genderqueerdykes but i know a lot of people don't know that that's me. i am a physically disabled autistic trans genderqueer person living with schizophrenia, PTSD arthritis, ehler's danlos syndrome, degenerative disc disease, and fibromyalgia. i was living in a hotel paying $40/night for 2 months and have finally relocated into my subsidized apartment after months of fighting. i had to pay a $250 deposit on top of prorated rent for the short amount of time i'm living here in March.
i have also had to pay for food, bedding, cleaning supplies, toiletries, dental supplies, shipping supplies for my business, etc. since moving in so my money is stretched extremely thin.
I need help paying April's rent. My monthly rent is $178/month. I currently have:
$57/$178

some of yall need to understand that "my body, my choice" also applies to:
addicts in active addiction with no intention of quitting
phys disabled people who deny medical treatment
neurodivergent people who deny psychiatric treatment (yes, including schizophrenic people and people with personality disorders)
trans people who want or don't want to medically transition (yes, including trans masc lesbians with top surgery and trans women without bottom surgery, yall are so weird to them wtf)
and if you can't understand that, then you don't get to use the phrase
