the funniest thing to me rn is seeing transphobic women going into bathrooms in transphobic states and then being shocked that trans men are in there and actually (gasp) look like men?!?! (shocking i know /s)
like you guys forced people to go to the bathrooms of their “biological sex” but now when they do it’s disconcerting that men look like men. (yes even if that man has a vagina.)
Tumblr media
Transphobes are shocked to realize trans men aren’t all “uwu soft boiz” and HRT does what it’s supposed to. It’s so mind boggling to them that trans people don’t look like their bigoted characatures.
Anyways here are some men that will be forced to use the women’s restroom in states like florida, texas, kansas, etc.

Edit to add: PLEASE don’t tag this post as “transandrophobia” or any similar terms.

Daily reminder to TERFs for Pride Month!
- You are not valid!
- Nobody cares about you!
- Terf isn’t a slur!
- You are not a minority group!
- Trans men are men and trans women are women!
- People aren’t misogynistic, they just hate you because you’re insufferable!
- Men matter and are wonderful to be around!
- You’re a disgrace to actual feminists everywhere!
(Reblog to explode a terf and give a trans person a cookie!)

I think it would be helpful if people realized gender affirming care isn't just for trans people. It's for whoever wants it. Plus nearly all gender affirming care was made for cis people before it was used for trans people.
Puberty blockers was literally made to help kids who started their puberty too soon. It was made to be safe and reversible.
Hrt was made for cis people originally. Cis women can use both estrogen and testosterone to help with menopause. I don't know if cis men use estrogen like cis women would, but they can use testosterone to help once they get to a certain age.
Cis women have been getting breast reductions and breast augmentation for years. Cis men get hair transplants. I mean fuck, cis men get top surgery to deal with gynecomastia. The same top surgery I'll be getting hopefully in the future.
So if cis people pretty much do the same thing as trans people do when it comes to gender affirming care, why is it bad when trans people do it?

Trans "allies" when they see a trans femboy/not passing boy:
awww, so soft and cute! your a little uwu boy huhhh?
Trans "allies" when they see a trans man/passing boy:
ew.
(or)
*blatantly sexualizes either of them for no reason, without their consent*
(some trans boys like being an "uwu"/"soft"/"cute" boy but not all of us- esspecially ones that arent passing yet- it can even hurt. feels like your infantilizing us in a way yk.)

yknow, the fact that princess diana’s death got international media attention and practically everyone still speculates about the mysterious circumstances of her death but no one talks about how marsha p johnson was found dead in a river and her death was ruled a suicide despite her friends and family stating she’d never been suicidal doesnt site right with me.
and yes, i am aware of the documentary. that was made by another trans woman (her name is victoria cruz).  because cis people don’t care. so we have to care about each other.
edit: this post is getting a lot of traction and i feel the need to ad this bc i wholeheartedly agree tbh

me: *makes a tiktok about how men can get pregnant and how abortion laws affect these men also*
the comments: "SAY TRANS MEN" "PRO LIFE PEOPLE DONT SEE TRANS MEN AS MEN" "YOU NEED TO PUT TRANS MEN INSTEAD OF MEN, SAYING JUST MEN CAN GET PREGNANT AND CAN GET ABORTIONS ALLOWS CIS MEN TO HAVE AN OPINION ON PREGNANCY AND ABORTION"
like oh my god you fucking people are insufferable.
IDGAF WHAT PRO LIFERS THINK AND I DONT NEED TO SAY "TRANS MEN," TRANS MEN ARE MEN.

I highly recommend to all of my trans brothers, sisters, and siblings to add this person to your block list. And despite the dysphoria it may cause to scroll their blog and expose yourself to the vile hatred included, I recommend doing that too so that you can also block the people that they interact with. Their blog is deeply intermixed with a larger TERF circle. A circle that a scrolls our tags and spend time actively harassing trans men and trans women. You will find a lot of blogs to block. Block them before they find you. Do not interact with this blog or any blog associated, they will use your interactions to fuel their hate rhetoric. Use the despicable blog as a tool to block a large swath of TERFs.

That Open Letter to the NYT
I’ve barely been on social media lately, so only today heard about this letter, and I just signed on to it as a former freelancer there. The NYT keeps asking me to do op-eds for them, and I’ve refused repeatedly because the both-sidesism in their Opinion pages has been ridiculous in the last few years, as has their repeated platforming of racist, Islamophobic, anti-semitic, anti-immigrant, anti-poor, and just plain bigoted voices. I remain grateful to the NYT for giving me the opportunity to elevate other SFF writers when I ran the “Otherworldly” review column a few years back (and I continue to support Amal El-Mohtar, who runs it now, for that reason). But while there is something to be said for yelling back, I’m just not personally interested in that.  Or in being used as a “see? we’re not bigots!” flak shield for their reactionaries.
So, I think it’s worth linking to the Onion’s brilliant response to the NYT’s incitement of violence. And I think it’s worth considering whether you really need to keep that NYT subscription. I canceled mine years ago.
