Chapter Head Art For @moorishflower's Maybe Sprout Wings

So I got a tablet over the holidays, which had me itching to start drawing again now that I could do it digitally, and decided to assign myself a learn-to-use-Procreate project for the new year.

This absolutely fantastic fic was calling to me. It had just finished and it's just full of the kind of Thematically Relevant Symbolism and Allusion that makes me absolutely lose my mind, so I decided I wanted some monochromatic chapter head illustrations for it.

I'll probably do a longer post when I finish all 14, perhaps with some explanation, but the year's getting real busy and finishing half of them had me excited so, *jazz hands* here are the first seven for now I guess! Very excited for the rest of the designs I have sketched out.

Chapters here are 1, 2, 3, 6, 11, 12, & 13 because I've been finishing them in whatever order the muse finds pleasing that day. Cursive is the chapter titles, block letters in parentheses are my own titles for the visuals.

I may not be super well acquainted with stylistic consistency, but I've been having an absolutely fantastic time playing with ideas and symbolism while making these. Highly recommend this fic. It's Dreamling, it's fantastic worldbuilding, it's beautiful prose, it's a clever Odyssey retelling, it's meta-aware! It's a novel-length story about stories and I am such a sucker for those.
