Yuriko's Thoughts on Toshima Division
Tumblr media
Kaori Narizuka
“I've always been fond of piano performances but this woman….” Yuriko frowns looking at the picture of Kaori. “I went to one of her performances once and even now I'm not sure what exactly happened. One moment I was fine and the next I felt such overwhelming sorrow that I wanted to cry. Which is not like me at all. I believe she had something to do with that. Her skills with the piano are hypnotic in a way that doesn't seem natural. The fact that she is working for the Chuohku proves that.”
Mei Yu
Yuriko scowls at the picture of the Chinese woman. “As I've stated before I was hired by Ryuu Mafuyu to protect him from other assassins. His bodyguards Vito Koi of Meguro and this woman didn't agree with his actions but Mei was certainly more vocal about it. I didn't partially care what she thought. I was hired for a job and I was going to complete it. Jealous bitch be damned. I was actually glad when my contract was done. I didn't have to deal with her and I never thought I would have to again. Now it seems like I'm going to have to fight her.” Yuriko sharply smiles. “Fine by me. Let's see what the Goddess of Fire can do against the Goddess of Death.”
Lillian Rees
“How does a British major come to serve the Japanese government? Surely the Brits took offense to one of their own doing that. I wouldn't be surprised if they called her actions treason. However, considering what our own government is like, I'm leaning toward the fact that she didn't join entirely out of her own free will.” Yuriko sighs. “Other than that I can't say much about her, unlike Kaoru who knows much more.”
Inner Circle
“I have to wonder what went through Tohoten’s head when she created this team. She has to have had some reason for throwing them all together because I do not see this team making it past the early stages. They’re barely loyal to Chuohku let alone each other. So, no I am not holding my breath against them winning one match.”

🌿 [HERB] for Kaori
🍒 [CHERRY] for Mei
🍉 [WATERMELON] for Lillian
Kaori is agnostic, which is surprising since her life circumstances would be enough to make anyone doubt the existence of God. However, when she was younger, her mother would frequently go to the temples to pray. When she was strong enough to walk, Kaori would go with her, though she didn't exactly see the point. It's not that she didn't like going or didn't believe. She didn't see the point in sitting in silence for a long period of time to pray to someone who may or may not be real. But her mother often explained to her the concept of religion and faith, though Kaori wasn't exactly old to comprehend what her mother was saying.
Now that's she older, Kaori, while not denying the existence of God, doesn't know if He actually exists or not. If He did, why would He allow her to be born with a uncurable sickness? Why would He allow her to be experimented on for a number of years? Why would He have her stuck in this situation? If He truly exists, she begs that He get him out of this predicament so she can live her life free of worry and hurt.
If you mean 'perfect companion' in the terms of romance, Mei, in case you don't know, likes dominance and submission. She desires people to respect her and acknowledge her authority. It's for this reason she works for Chuohku, as she admires how they've put women in charge. She doesn't agree with some of their policies, but she admires their ingenuity and their drive. But Mei, she wants a man to submit to her, to acknowledge that she is in charge and that he obeys her. But the odds of her finding a man like that is very slim.
In terms of secrets, there are plenty of Lillian will take to the grave with her. Before working for Chuohku, she used to work for ████████████, where she had to ████████████. Everything she's done for them was never meant to be revealed to the public or anyone else. This is mainly why they are worried when it was revealed that she had jumped ship to Chuohku, and why they sent Yeong after her. Whomever they are, they cannot risk Lillian drawing attention to them, which is why Yeong has been ordered to either rescue her from her situation, or... to do away with her. He's willing hoping he can accomplish the former before doing the latter...

Aranai's Thoughts on Toshima Division
Tumblr media
Kaori Narizuka
"The Collab Event wasn't my first time seeing this woman, but it was my first time seeing her in the flesh. I often saw her on T.V. during those concerts of hers where she played the piano. For some reason, Shisuta loves watching and listening to her. I'll admit, her songs are nice, but I don't like listening to them much. I don't know why, but every time I listen to her play and sing, I get all teary-eyed for some reason, which I dislike. I hate crying for no reason..."
Mei Yu
"A Chinese woman working for the government as a bodyguard? Sounds like the plot of a bad action flick or something. But apparently, this woman's got to be pretty important, or tough to be in charge of guarding the fuckin' Prime Minister. Either that or she knows someone who set her up with that job. Besides that, Boss-Lady's got some sort of bone to pick with her or something. I almost feel sorry for this woman because of that. Almost..."
Lillian Rees
"A... British woman? Huh. How the hell did a woman from the U.K. wide up all the way here in Japan working for Chuohku of all things? Not that I really care, I'm just curious. Besides that, I have to wonder what the hell her deal is. Judging from how she's acting, my money's on the fact that Chuohku did something to her. Wouldn't be the first time those fuckers fucked with someone's brain or memory..."
Inner Circle
"For the love of God Chuohku, where the hell do you guys find the time and money needed to make so many HypMics? And where the hell do you guys find the people needed to form teams? I mean, seriously. You have a freakin' pianist who looks like she's suffering from major depressive disorder as the leader, along with two foreigners as her teammates? And you have the gall to call them your 'inner circle'? Yeah, if these guys win even one match, I'm going to be shocked as hell. But I'm sure as hell not holding my breath on that one."

Sanyu's Thoughts on Toshima Division
Tumblr media
Kaori Narizuka
"I know this woman. The first time she and I met was during the Collab Project with Kanra from Edogawa. Of course, I knew of her before that since I try to pay attention to anything that revolves around Chuohku. And knowing that she is affiliated with them automatically made her an enemy of me. ...At least that's what I thought up until we started working together.
"She didn't outright say it, but... in her lyrics, I kinda got the hint that she was held there against her will, and she didn't care for the government anymore than I did. I have to admit, I kinda felt bad for her. I went on YouTube afterwards and listened to some of the songs she played and sung on that piano of hers. It... it honestly made me break down, and I don't even know why. ...Man, is there nothing Chuohku doesn't touch and ruin?"
Mei Yu
"A Chinese woman? That's a first, though she sure doesn't look like one. But then again, I can't really claim to know how the average Chinese person looks, so my opinion may not count. But anyway, I hear she works as some sort of bodyguard, guarding a lot of important people in Chuohku. If that's true, why the hell is she in a rap tournament? Isn't doing that leaving all of those "important people" defenseless?"
Lillian Rees
"A... British woman? ...That's a first. I think this is the first woman from Europe I've ever seen. I know there was that nun from Ueno, but she's half Japanese, I think. But anyway, something about this woman strikes me as odd. She kinda reminds me of that young secretary woman from Koto. ...I'd say all women from Chuohku are like this, but I don't think that's true. Even so, I wonder if that place did something to her?"
Inner Circle
"So, Chuohku's putting another one of their teams in this D.R.B.? Why? Besides the fact that they already own all of Japan, I don't think this team is gonna go far. I mean, no offense to Ms. 'Black Orchid', but she seems a little too downtrodden to be leader-material. The Chinese woman has a bad attitude, and Ms. British... she seems cold to everything. So yeah, I'm not holding my breathe that they get far, especially if we face them."

Keiko's Thoughts on Toshima Division
Tumblr media
Kaori Narizuka
"Kaori-san, or 'Black Orchid', as she is often called. ...Honestly, I really feel sorry for her. I don't know all the details, but... apparently, she was used as an experiment because of her skill with the piano or something. She often is sent to places where Chuohku wants her to play her music. ...I don't know why, but... every time I hear her sing, I feel myself welling up inside. Like... all the emotions inside of me just comes out and I start crying. It makes me think of happy and sad times with... no... I'm not thinking of her. She's dead to me..."
Mei Yu
"I don't see or deal with this woman much, and I am so glad for it. I heard that she betrayed her old employer and joined us here in Chuohku, which automatically makes me dislike her. I can tolerate a lot of things, but I hate betrayal! It just sets me off!" Keiko breathes in and out, trying to get a hold of her emotions.
"Besides that, she works as a bodyguard for Otome-sama, and a number of other important officials here in Chuohku. That's all good, but I still don't trust her! If she betrayed her old employer, what's not to stop her from betraying us?!"
Lillian Rees
"I really admire Lillian-san, though we don't really communicate with each other much. She works as a computer specialist here in Chuohku, keeping a lookout for any sign of suspicious activity. She's a really diligent woman, and doesn't have time for small talk or issues that don't concern her. I admire her work ethic, but I have to wonder how she joined us? Nemu-san doesn't know, and I don't believe the Prime Minister will tell me. It's not that I don't trust Lillian-san! But... how exactly did a British woman get assigned here?"
Inner Circle
"I wonder why Otome-sama made this division team. Unlike other the other teams sponsored by Chuohku (mine included), this one seems to be made up entirely of Chuohku members. Normally I'd say that's a good thing, but none of these women have anything in common with one another. Kaori-san doesn't really strike me as 'leader' material, Mei-san has proved to be untrustworthy, and Lillian-san seems more robotic than anything. How exactly is this team going to come out ahead in the tournament? ...But its not my place to question Otome-sama's methods or choices. I simply can only obey her or Kadenokoji-san's orders."

Saji's Thoughts on Toshima Division
Tumblr media
Kaori Narizuka
"I've heard of her... she's a famous pianist, right? Her name is unknown, but everyone calls her by her stage name, 'Black Orchid'. Her concert halls are almost always packed to the brim with people. I don't go to all of her concerts, but the ones I do go to, they always... always make my eyes water. It's just... it's just something about the way she sings and hits each note that makes me start sobbing. I don't know why...
"...It's funny, she reminds me so much of... of... no... no! I-I'm not thinking about that... I'm not." Saji sighs, mentally erasing the memories from his head. "...I'll just say she resembles someone very important to me, and leave it at that. She's not her... she... she's not..."
Mei Yu
"For some reason, Vito's got a serious grudge against this woman. I don't know who she is, but apparently, she works for Chuohku, which is reason enough to dislike her. But I wonder what's the history between her and Vito. Were they lovers or something? If so, I can understand him completely."
Lillian Rees
"Another foreign woman? Just like her teammate. I've never met this woman before, obviously. But she seems to be a smart, serious woman. And according to Yeong, 'Lillian Rees' isn't her actual name, but an alias. ...But how does he know something like that? Does he know this woman or something? If so, then how?"
Inner Circle
"'Inner Circle...' I know that all three of these women work for Chuohku. So... does that mean that this group is considered Chuohku's Special Forces, or something? I mean, I don't know about Black Orchid, but... the other two, they seem fierce. However, Vito and Yeong have asked that they be allowed to take care of them. Vito has 'unfinished business' with the Chinese woman. And Yeong claims he needs answers from the British woman.
"...Which means 'Black Orchid' is mine to deal with, I guess." Saji looks at the pianist's photo once more. He closes in on her and furrows his eyebrows. "...It's strange. I've never met her before, but... for some reason, I can't help but feel that I know her... who is she?"

Misa's Thoughts on Toshima Division
Tumblr media
Kaori Narizuka
“Ahh one of Chuohku’s little experiments. Oh surprised I know I know about her? Don't be. I have several of my vipers in Chuohku constantly relaying information to me. I will admit her ability to cause sudden changes in emotions is a bit of an annoyance. However, Project Siren should be able to take her out easily. Project Siren at full strength is estimated to be able to destroy several city blocks. I highly doubt she can do anything against even half that.”
Mei Yu
Misa raises her eyebrow at the photo of Mei. “Mafuyu’s other bodyguard and the one to murder him. All because of your insecurities. Did it burn you to know that Mafuyu was choosing Vito over you? All I have to say to you Mei Yu is that it will be your desire to be the best that will be your downfall. One that I will gladly orchestrate for you.”
Lillian Rees
“So how does a former British major join the Japanese government? Ah, so that's how they did it. I’m not surprised by Chuohku’s methods. They never use anything else.” Misa rolls her eyes. “This woman does pose the most danger if she’s able to figure out my plans due to her computer skills. However against me in a computer fight, she will find herself horribly disadvantaged. I’ve been working with computers longer than she’s been alive. Not even the infamous hackers Delphi and Venefica could crack my database. I highly doubt she could even touch it.”
Inner Circle
“If I am being completely honest destroying Chuohku isn't my goal. Make no mistake I despise them and what they stand for. Getting rid of them is just a stepping stone to my main goal. This team why they’ll cause problems for my plans aren't entirely detrimental to them. Besides Chuohku is a fool if they think I don't have any contingency plans against them and any teams they send after me.”

Kyokos thoughts on Toshima Division
Kaori Narizuka
“She seems sad…like really really sad! I wonder if she’s doing alright?” Kyoko leans back in her chair “I saw this lady outside the shrine once…she seemed to like the Sakura trees! She also didn’t kick the god damn fox that I was trying to chase down so that makes her okay in my book!”
Mei Yu
“This lady scares me…I don’t wanna talk about her” Kyoko looks away and pouts
Lillian Rees
“ARE YOU A ROBOT-! Okay fine I’ll shut up about it!” Kyoko sighs “I swear she sounds rather robotic whenever she speaks…she’s always so analytical!”
“Other than that…she’s fine I guess”
Inner Circle
“They all seem fine…Yu-san scares me though so I don’t wanna have to fight her!” Kyoko glances at Rinko “If we do fight she’s most likely gonna go toe to toe with the Electric Rose…I pray Rinko doesn’t get burnt”

Aira's Thoughts on Toshima Division
Tumblr media
Kaori Narizuka
“I absolutely love the pieces she plays. I often play them when working on my novels. So I was surprised to hear that one of my characters inspired one of her pieces. However, I hear that she is seen going in and out of Chuohku constantly. I think Chuohku is doing something to Kaori-san. I’m not sure what but I fear we may have way more in common than she believes.”
Mei Yu
“The bodyguard to the Prime Minister herself. Physically she’s the most dangerous member of this team. Knowing my luck I’d probably be forced to go all out against her. I fear she may not be able to handle that very few people are.”
Lillian Rees
Aira shivers. “This woman reminds me too much of …..her. They have the same calculating look in their eyes. Apparently, she’s a computer specialist that works for Chuohku. I wouldn’t be surprised if she found not a lot of information about me ‘Aira Otonashi’ only started existing 8 years ago. Besides the person, I once was only existed on paper and not in real life.”
Inner Circle
“So this is what everyone calls a Chuohku team. I was hoping to stay out of their radar and live my life peacefully. It looks like fate has other plans for me.” Aira lets out a soft sigh her eyes shifting from their usual emerald green to a glowing bright purple. “I fear what would happen if Chuohku were to find out what I am.”

Ace's Thoughts on Toshima Division
Tumblr media
Kaori Narizuka
"I've seen this woman around Chuohku. She has a... melancholy air about her. It's like she's experienced the worst life has to offer, and has just... accepted it. ...I'll admit, while I still don't particularly care for Japan much... this woman here, she makes my disliking for this place seem so... minuscule."
Mei Yu
"Ugh, this woman is, unfortunately, the one whom I have to put up with whenever I go to Chuohku, per the Prime Minister's orders. She acts as something like my guard, basically following me around whenever I'm on Chuohku's property. That wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the fact that she has a crappy disposition. I get the feeling that if given the option, she'd sooner leave me and go do something else, which wouldn't bother me one bit. ...I will admit though, I am a bit curious how a Chinese woman wound up serving one of the most powerful governments in the known world today..."
Lillian Rees
"I see this woman at Chuohku, as well. She acts as something of a secretary/computer specialist. She has a total 'no-nonsense' attitude, similar to what I get from Ichijiku, the Deputy Prime Minister. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if she had something to do with why this woman is here. She seems like a smart woman, though I have to wonder why she's serving the likes of Chuohku..."
Inner Circle
"'Inner Circle'... the name seems a bit pretentious, don't you think? We have a sorrowful lady who doesn't seem to know how to smile, a foreign woman who acts like everyone she comes across is an enemy and another foreign woman who acts less like a human, and more like a robot. And they all serve Chuohku, it seems. I'm interested to know how in the world they all met and formed a team. But I'm more interested in how exactly they will work together when it seems they do not have a thing in common. ...Oh well. Guess I'll just have to wait and see, it seems."

Kaoru's Thoughts on Toshima Division
Tumblr media
Kaori Narizuka
“Another experimental subject for Chuohku.” Kaoru sighs. “Athena above. Is there anyone inside their labs who has a moral compass? What I've managed to discover after some extensive hacking is that she was taken for her skills to manipulate emotions with her piano. I can only imagine what Chuohku wants to utilize that for. Just looking at this woman you can see the sorrow in her eyes. It reminds me of…Kanra. Oh, she may be cheerful and sweet nowadays but when we first met her, she was so dreary. It looked like she had given up all hope. Yuriko and I managed to breathe some new life into her and I think that is what Kaori needs. Someone to bring her back to life again.”
Mei Yu
“Mei Yu. Current bodyguard to the Head bitch herself and former bodyguard to Ryuu Mafuyu who she stabbed in the back out of her own petty jealousy. Yuriko has some choice words to say about her. Now I hear Mei wants to take a stab at Yuriko.” Kaoru begins to uncontrollably laugh. “Hahaha! Oh, that's a good one! Do you really think you can go up against the Black Dahlia? The woman who is said to have death mastered down to an art form? Please. There are only a handful of people walking on this planet able to keep up with Yuriko when she goes all out. You are not even one of them.”
Lillian Rees
“Lililan Rees or should call you LeAnn Chambers instead?” Kaoru huffs. “Used to terrorize her back when she was a member of the British army. I would steal any secrets the Brits had hiding around and sell them to the highest bidder. I did enjoy getting on LeAnn’s nerves well up until she disappeared one day. I'm still trying to figure out what happened to her exactly because no one joins Chuohku under a new name without something major happening. My leading theory is that she sent to spy on them but got found out. Surprised they didn't just get rid of her if that's the case but personally? I think those bitches got something planned and LeAnn is nothing more than an unfortunate bystander.”
Inner Circle
“Geez a majorly depressed pianist, a backstabbing bodyguard, and a potentially brainwashed computer specialist. Chuohku sure does know how to pick them for their teams. Even their name sounds so pretentious. “Inner Circle” yeah, right more like pawns to get rid of the moment they fail.”

Maki’s Thoughts on Toshima Division
Tumblr media
Kaori Narizuka
“It’s strange to say this, but this woman is rather ordinary… And it’s abnormal in the context of this competition, no? Chuuoku has chosen a colorful group of candidates as leaders and this woman looks unremarkable to the cast of characters that make up the D.R.B. roster. I hope that doesn’t come out as insulting, but I worry for how she will perform in the competition against everyone else. Despite that, she could hold many surprises, so I shall keep an eye on how she performs in the future.”
Mei Yu
“A cheongsam dress? I didn’t think anyone wore that seriously outside of… Very specific events or establishments. It’s simply not a common style of dress in Japan, outside of some places I’d rather not talk about, which is somewhat of a shame. Truly, I should have improved my abilities with the language so I could go abroad there to study more about the culture and history, but I doubt I will have the time to do so now. Teaching at a university level can be… Draining.”
“I guess that coming from a Chinese background, Yu-san wears what she has.  And she wears it well if I should say so myself. I wonder if the little detective will have some kinder, more specific words to say about it since he seems to have this deep interest with fashion… I’m hardly the person to critique how a person looks, after all.”
Lillian Rees
“A British woman who acts as a computer specialist in the Chuuoku ward… She certainly poses as a great concern to me. Not only is the fact she works for the government a problem, but it wouldn’t be out of possibility that she collaborates with mother. Computers and intelligence must work hand in hand... The others may not think much about her, but I think that I should watch for her at the very least. Or maybe, she can be civil and we can talk it out. After all, I have a responsibility to my team’s particular goal. My personal grievances outweigh important details like Miss. Rees’s work.”
Inner Circle
“Outside of Miss. Rees, I don’t think that this team will prove too much trouble. Even if we face this team and we are defeated, I’ll take whatever scrap of information about Chuuoku to heart. Any useful information will help us get the answers we want. And I’m sure my dear brother would love to know about it too. If anything, I wouldn’t doubt that Ryuko would chase after this Chuuoku team just to juice every last bit of information that we want out of them.”

Shisuta's Thoughts on Toshima Division
Tumblr media
Kaori Narizuka
"I am truly a fan of this woman, the one they call 'Black Orchid'. I happen to have past Sogakudo one night on my way from work when I heard the most beautiful piano playing ever. After purchasing a ticket, I entered and saw this young woman playing on her piano, whilst singing. Her music, for lack of a better word, was angelic." Shisuta smiles sadly at the thought of it.
"I am blessed to have heard her music, but... I know that in order for that young woman to have sung so sweetly and sorrowfully, something traumatic must have transpired in her past. ...And hearing that she works for Chuohku, I can only surmise that they may have had something to do with it. I truly feel for her plight, and hope that the rest of her days are lighter."
Mei Yu
"I've never met this young woman, but Kisouna-san tells me that she also works for Chuohku. Apparently, she works as a guardian for many people in Chuohku, including the Prime Minister. She must be a talented woman to be able to protect such important people. I only wish she could put her talents to better use elsewhere. I also have to wonder what she did to anger Kisouna-san so much..."
Lillian Rees
"I've asked Fleuret-san in Taitō if she's ever heard of this young woman, but unfortunately, she hasn't. It's strange. I wouldn't have thought a British woman would dare join a Japanese government, but... judging by the way she appears, I can only guess that Chuohku must have done something to her, which is truly saddening. I only hope that she awakens to her true self someday..."
Inner Circle
"All three of these women serve Chuohku, but it doesn't seem as if they are overtly loyal to them, especially Ms. Orchid. I have to wonder why they are all joining, and what forced them all to join Chuohku in the first place. I only hope that this tournament does not hurt them or force them to do something that they will regret."

Tasuku's Thoughts on Toshima Division
Tumblr media
Kaori Narizuka
"I've never met this woman, though I did see her at the Collab Event when she did that song with Sanyu and Kanra-chan. At first, I was a little worried about the two of them doing a track with a Chuohku member, but... she seemed really nice and sweet, if a little sorrowful. After that, I did some research and found out that she's some sort of pianist that plays concerts that Chuohku sponsors. I listened to one of her tracks on YouTube, and... well, I don't know what it was about her songs, but I just started bawling like a baby, and I didn't know why. It was like the day I lost my eye, I felt pain, but... it was a good pain..."
Mei Yu
"Woah, a Chinese woman? I've never met a real-life person from China before! Shame she's working for Chuohku. I'd have like to have talked with her. But from what I've read about her, she's apparently not a pleasant person to be around. But I guess you kinda have to be a little unpleasant to hang around the Prime Minister all day. I wonder who she had to kill to get a job like that..."
Lillian Rees
"...You all remember what I said about that secretary that works for Arakawa Industries over in Koto? I get the same vibes from this woman that I get from her. She seems cold, focused. Like, all she's concerned about is getting her job done and not worrying about anything else. ...Man, you have to wonder what exactly Chuohku does to the women there to make them turn out like this. It scares the crap out of me!"
Inner Circle
"So... a pianist, a bodyguard, and... a computer specialist? ...Not exactly what you have in mind when you think of an 'inner circle', ya' know? I mean, I'm not saying they'll be easy, but compared to other teams in this tournament, we probably won't have too much trouble against them. ...At least, I hope so."
