Mindful Eating: Nourishing Your Body and Soul
Introduction:
In our fast-paced and busy lives, we often find ourselves eating on the go, distracted by screens, and rushing through meals without truly savoring the experience. This mindless approach to eating not only affects our physical health but also disconnects us from the joy and satisfaction that comes from nourishing our bodies. Mindful eating, on the other hand, offers a path to reconnect with our food, cultivate a healthier relationship with eating, and enhance our overall well-being. In this blog post, we will explore the concept of mindful eating and its numerous benefits.
Understanding Mindful Eating:
Mindful eating is a practice rooted in mindfulness, which involves paying attention to the present moment with a non-judgmental awareness. When applied to eating, it encourages us to engage all our senses, be fully present, and tune in to our body's signals of hunger and satiety. It involves slowing down, savoring each bite, and appreciating the flavors, textures, and aromas of the food we consume. By doing so, we can develop a deeper connection with our body and the food we eat.
Cultivating Awareness:
One of the core principles of mindful eating is developing awareness around our eating habits. This involves recognizing our emotional triggers for eating, understanding our hunger and fullness cues, and acknowledging any mindless eating patterns. By becoming aware of our eating habits, we can make conscious choices that align with our health and well-being goals. It may involve identifying external cues, such as eating in response to stress or boredom, and finding alternative coping mechanisms.
Benefits of Mindful Eating :
Practicing mindful eating can have a profound impact on our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. By eating mindfully, we are more likely to consume an appropriate amount of food, which can support weight management. It allows us to fully experience the pleasure of eating, leading to greater satisfaction and reduced cravings. Additionally, mindful eating can improve digestion by promoting better chewing and slower eating, enhancing nutrient absorption and reducing digestive discomfort. Moreover, it helps us develop a healthier relationship with food, reducing guilt and negative self-judgment around eating.
Practical Tips for Mindful Eating:
Incorporating mindful eating into our daily lives may seem challenging at first, but with practice, it becomes a natural and enjoyable habit. Here are some practical tips to get started:
Create a calm eating environment by minimizing distractions like screens or loud noises.
Take a few deep breaths before each meal to center yourself and cultivate presence.
Engage your senses by noticing the colors, smells, and textures of your food.
Chew slowly and thoroughly, savoring each bite and paying attention to the taste and texture.
Tune in to your body's hunger and fullness signals, eating until you feel satisfied, but not overly full.
Practice gratitude for the nourishment you receive, appreciating the effort and energy that went into producing your meal.
Conclusion
Mindful eating is a powerful practice that can transform our relationship with food and bring greater balance and well-being into our lives. By slowing down, paying attention, and savoring the experience of eating, we can nourish not only our bodies but also our souls. Incorporating mindfulness into our meals allows us to break free from mindless eating habits, connect with our body's needs, and make choices that align with our overall health goals. Let us embark on this journey of mindful eating, one bite at a time, and experience the transformative power it holds.

Let's talk about fitness, baby
Hey girlies,
like I said in some of my other posts – I gained a bit weight over the last few weeks and I really want to lose it.
It’s not only that I don’t like my current look but more that my joints started hurting again. This is something that happens to me for as long as I can remember – as soon as I gain a few pounds my joints start hurting.
Don’t worry – bloodwork was done and I regularly see a orthopedist.
My main focus is on my butt and on my thighs. My cellulite got really bad and I need me some muscles to fade it even a little bit.
My stats:
Height: 160cm or 5`3
Weight: 55kg or 121 pounds
Bust measurement: 83cm or 32 inches
Waist measurement: 65cm or 25 inches
Hip measurement: 96 cm or 37 inches
My goals:
Weight: 48 – 50kg or 105 – 110 pounds
My measurements are honestly fine but I would love to lose 1-2 inches at the waist.
Overall I am trying to achieve a more balanced and toned look. I want slightly visible abs and toned legs and arms.
I’m doing the Chloe Ting weight loss challenge programm right now and I will update weekly.
Bye bye

"Hello." Tulip gently coos to the Bayleef, smiling at it croons and leans into her hand.
It had been a few days after the whole event with her parents, and the Avatars decided to have an impromptu meet-up, mostly to just relax. Ash had brought along several Pokemon this time around, one of them being his Bayleef. She had wandered over to Tulip, who had been busy just mindlessly working on some small machines.
"Aren't you a beauty." Tulip giggles, watching as Bayleef plops down beside the enginner, gazing curiously at the machine.
"Oh, this?" Tulip tilts her head. "Well, Ash was getting curious about just how strong all his Pokémon were, and so I had the idea to make a machine that basically.. measures the power behind a move!" The engineer explains, to Bayleef's delight. "It'll be a while until it's ready, so I'll be working on it on and off."
"Leef!" the Pokemon chirps, leaning her head down to rest on Tulip's lap.
The Pokemon watches with bright and curious eyes, though it doesn't escape her how Tulip occasionally winces when her arms twist or move, or how she hisses in pain when she brushes her shoulder against her cheek to remove some oil.
Bayleef slowly moves her head so as not to catch Tulip's attention and narrows her eyes at the human's cheek.
There was just a small hit of purple and black.
Bayleef let out a soft "bay.." at the realization. She hadn't been there at the event, but she had heard all about it from Dragonite and the other Pokemon Ash took. (Pikachu had been nursing his hangover.)
The Leaf Pokemon remembers Noivern mentioning how Tulip was very skittish about her arms and how the Sound Wave Pokemon had picked up on her hisses of pain when she had been changing inside her van.
It didn't take too much of a genius to know why.
"Leef." Bayleef gently croons, leaning forward and biting down on Tulip's jacket sleeve, stopping her from moving that arm.
"Huh? What's wrong?" Tulip frowns as she sets down a wrench to look at the Pokemon.
Bayleef sets her two front feet on Tulip's lap before closing her eyes and focusing. A soft pink enveloped Pokemon's body before she leans her head forward and uses Heal Pulse on Tulip.
Tulip gasps softly as a gentle, warm feeling pulses throughout her body. The stinging pain that had been persisting in her arms from the hits from her father and the aching pain on the cheek from the slap from Archie all faded.
Bayleef lets out a pleased croon as she stops using Heal Pulse and looks up at Tulip with what's clearly a smile.
Tulip stares in shock before she smiles and gently scratches Bayleef's head. "Thank you. Just don't mention this to Ash or Pikachu, yeah? Cause goodness knows they'd probably try storming their way back there."
Bayleef let's out a "Leef!" in confirmation before lowering head and doing an 'X' motion with the leaf on top of her head.
Tulip laughs softly before she resumes the work on her machine, with Bayleef resting her hand on the Avatar's lap, no longer worried about the state of Ash's best friend.

I'm starting My Journey to You and WOW the visuals! I'm not a fan of things just being 'dark' because that's pretty much equivalent with invisible. But the lighting they use for this is fantastic. From the get-go you know what kind of drama it's going to be. But it's more 'washed out' than purely dark.
The only parts that don't gel with the lighting are when Gong Ziyu is joking with his bodyguard(?) but it still works. Even the bright beautiful moments like the brides' arrival is undercut with the female vocalization (I feel like I've heard that same singer in another drama) and of course the darkness on the edge.
And of course Gong Ziyu is standing on the cliff edge overlooking everything (I love dramatic cliff edges set apart from the bright lights - especially when no one is falling off of them).
Props to Esther Yu as well who's playing a completely different character that also feels different. Her physicality adjusts to match the role, which is something I wouldn't have guessed from just watching LBFAD, despite her sometimes playing DFQC personality.
