look, i know everyone said that the new interview with the vampire show was incredible but holy shit i was not prepared for how incredible this show is
like, not only is louis interesting now, he is incredibly compelling! his once-bland internal dilemma is now given actual weight because it's not just the same old Thou Shalt Not Kill But I Am Hungry story, it's tempered through his righteous fury at how black people have been treated all these years, how many people have wronged him and laughed and expected him to laugh along, how his ties to the community that once saved him are now turning to nooses around his throat, how his family that he once provided for and relied on have now come to fear him
that, combined with his explicit homosexuality, and with lestat being the only one who seemed to accept him and love him for all that he is, and how that is both comforting and incredibly toxic and combined with sam reid's insane charisma and mania and gravity as lestat that make it completely understandable why louis would still be drawn to him in spite of everything
and how they've used the changes from the original to this one to examine how memory shifts regarding someone who was so intense and formative in your life even if they were ultimately so controlling and abusive but still left such huge gouges in your personality like knives

yet another oc that only exists because i wanted to write something very specific
(middle is a little older, hence her scar healing. i like to think she gets a glass eye at some point)
anyway this is mira! (they/she) since that wip is almost 20k words and counting i won’t give away too much but long story short she’s the result of meta going “one last time, i promise” and adopting yet another kid
also galaxia kinda indirectly picked the name :)
i’ve mentioned before that i headcanon that pretty much all astrals are autistic and this is just kinda an extension of that. whereas meta tends to suppress his emotions and conform to others, mira…doesn’t. she gets uncomfortable and upset and lashes out at people easily, and working through their emotions is no small task.
the main reason i chose to write them that way was for the sake of narrative but i’ve grown attached to it because there’s a lot of ideas there i’d like to explore. stuff about navigating emotions and relationships when existing is so suffocatingly uncomfortable. it’s not something i could center around Kirby himself, but i think it makes sense with a post character development meta knight.
they are very loved (omg oldee cameo???)
kirby was definitely very excited to have younger siblings after being used to being the youngest in the room for so long!! (with the like. one and only exception being gooey.) he’s super affectionate with both of them and wants to have a close relationship one day, but for now mira is pretty unappreciative of that fact lol. they don’t like being pestered for hugs
everyone else is okay tho
(i know that’s hard to read. oops. “obvious bite marks”. siblings being siblings.)
mira also has a very love/hate relationship with the egg kid, being so close in age they kinda Have to get along but in typical sibling nature they also fight a lot. sure it’s probably rough for a while but i think in the end they’d be good buddies. maybe not as close as Kirby and Bandee but still.
anyway i have a lot of thoughts and am very busy but. i’m really enjoying writing about all this lately it’s been fun ^^

I have So Many things I need to write and so many WIPs I haven't finished or even Posted but I want to drop everything and write a fic where Wei Wuxian finds out that Jiang Fengmian didn't actually rescue him off the streets -- he kidnapped him. The story that he was close friends with Wei Changze and Cangse Sanren was exactly that, a story, a lie he made up. In truth, Wei Changze never spoke a word to Jiang Fengmian after leaving Lotus Pier. Jiang Fengmian was not invited to the wedding. He didn't even know they had a son until Wei Wuxian's family --Changze's father, his older brother and his wife, his older sister -- showed up at Lotus Pier to ask if the Jiang Sect had gotten any news about strange Nighthunts recently, if perhaps they knew what had become of Changze and Cangze Sanren and little a-Ying.
In this, the Wei clan are descended from Hua Cheng and Xie Lian, who started a family a couple hundred years into their marriage (Hua Cheng shapeshifted and carried the baby) and ultimately ended up with a child who was... not dead. But not really entirely anything else, either. The child, and her children, and their children after them, were able to cultivate normally, but they could also cultivate as the dead did, following The Ghost Path.
At first the family shared this knowledge freely with the world, but that knowledge was abused. They went to ground, only teaching a few worthy disciples, but that, too, led to catastrophe. In the end they changed their name -- Wei, after Hua Cheng's mother's maiden name -- and vowed to keep their power and their knowledge a secret.
Wei Changze believed that the world had changed. So many centuries had passed, the very foundation of the cultivation world had reshaped itself into a sect system. It was time to try again. So he'd earned his place as a bodyguard-servant of the Jiang sect, and used the opportunity to test the heirs and leaders of all the great sects, searching for a worthy student. Someone kind, and righteous, and brave, who did not covet power or bend to the whims of others.
He found her eventually, but she wasn't from any sect. Baoshan Sanren's disciple, Cangse Sanren. Falling in love with her was an accident. He wouldn't change it for the world.
Their adventuring had been partially to get to know the minor sects -- those so small their members never even got invited to the Discussion Conferences -- still searching for worthy students.
I don't have the details hammered out for what could have possibly killed them, but I know it wasn't a result of that Nighthunt. They were murdered, and in her final moments Cangse Sanren placed a protective ward around her son that hid him from whatever had gone after them -- but it also hid him from his family, and eventually they were forced to assume he'd died alongside his parents.

anywway your typical Peepaw fic (pov ive actually been wanting to write one but haven't had any good ideas yet)
Future Leo somehow doesn't get obliterated and is in the past ( I actually have somewhat of an idea for this where -when Future Mikey's portal closes it has sort of a wave effect? Like ripples out kinda thing. F!Leo gets stuck in one of these ipples and because it's further out from the originall portal he gets portaled to several hours day of the invasion instead of when CJ was portaled. I'm still working out the logic kinks).
He absolutely refuses to face any of his own issues and focuses on helping Leo recover as well as his family, Except they're not really his family so he's obviously still sad asf all the time. He still is very much angry at Leo but he's very good at concealing it - except ofc presrnt Leo notices.
Idk how it would resolve or anything or like long-term stuff but the 'things will be okay, for you at least' is like Future Leo saying it to Present Leo and HIS family.
I do have thoughts about their ninpo and Future Leo trying to reach the bad future bros (but can't cause timeline stuff) and just wanting to go back to his own timeline. Maybe that's sort of the direction it goes- Future Leo trying to get himself back to his own timeline. Lik yeah he'll be alive by himself but at least he won't be fucking with the current timeline yknow
also maybe some bits inspire by Dr. Who time-stuff and how it's sort of fucking up the current timeline.
I would want a happy ending tho so hrm. idk.
ANYWAY blurb time:
The last thing Leonardo saw was red, red light. It obliterate everything in sight - the same red light that he'd seen destroy ships and bases and comrades. The red light he was sure was going to destroy him. But it didn't happen. Instead he felt the weightlessness of being portaled. It had been years since he had been able to access his powers, and yet the sudden lack of steady ground beneath his feet and the rush of moving at speeds that he couldn't wrap his head around was so, so familiar. Like it had just been yesterday that he had fully unlocked his ninpo and had rushed to catch Raph.
But it was different than his portals had ever been. They were fast- like a blue cold light washing over him for only a moment before he was thrown into whatever location he thought of. This was much, much slower. He glanced down at his hand, flexing his fingers. There was something like an after image, like he was moving in slow motion. So it wasn't a portal. He had to be dead, right?

HIIIII okay so I’ve recently found your fanfics a Puss in boots, and I’ve officially become obsessed just the way you write the characters and the Settings that they are in are so good and like the way you enter angst is so good. The one thing I do wanna see though no hate your literally amazing is maybe Puss in the wrong I like dynamic where death realizes he’s wrong for his past action reflects because that is so strong and I love that we love a good redemption, but I would also like to see Puss maybe Being a little too mean or biased, or assuming not out of being mean or wrong, but out of like trauma, his past experiences with dad, have now shaped his choices towards him, and he realizes how much it’s affecting the way he treats him I don’t know I’m just babbling at this point but anyways much love and support. Hi! First off, thank you so much! It fills my heart with joy to hear someone enjoy my work so much 💖 And honestly that’s a route I’ve purposefully avoided going with my fics because I like Puss so much and he did nothing to deserve all the traumatic stuff Death put him through, BUT, that being said, I did actually recently come up with an idea that would fit in with Puss being meaner to him than he deserves now that you bring it up. I doubt I’ll end up actually writing it out since I don’t have the time, but the basic idea is that the reason Death did what he did was because he knew Puss would die if he didn’t step in.
Like, I found out that Death only popped up at times that Puss could very well die (except probably the cave), like when Puss is drinking at the bar after the talk with Dr. Mendez (he could well have drunk himself to death with that “heaviest cream”), when he’s leaving Jack Horner’s with the map and flaming arrows are being shot at him, the battle where Jack is shooting unicorn horns, and the final battle. And maybe he knew the only way to get Puss to truly value his final life instead of relying on more and eventually tearing through those as well, was to teach him what true fear felt like, and challenge him the way he did.
BUT, since Death isn’t actually allowed to interfere to extend lives (going purely by the rules of this fic), and this would fall under that umbrella, he couldn’t make it seems like that was his goal, instead acting like he was insulted and wanted to just torment Puss before killing him out of spite.
THEN he needs Puss’ help with something really important, otherwise bad stuff would happen to a lot of people (like a continent getting destroyed or something, idk, lol), and Puss only agrees after Death signs a pact that he won't hurt Puss or his friends. Now, since Puss isn’t afraid that Death will kill him at the drop of a hat, he feels a lot more free to say whatever he wants, which is usually some kind of jab at Death’s character (like “I’ll handle this one and nicely ask for directions, because I believe that were it up to you you’d probably threaten them at sickle point, since that seems to be how you solve your problems.”, “Yes, we could actually try to win the challenge, but why do that when you can just unfairly overpower them with your godly powers like you did with me?”, “Stand back, you’ll just give them nightmares with nothing more than your stunning personality.” etc) as a way to get back at his tormentor.
Death can’t defend his actions though, as he can’t let Puss know the truth. That he actually really admired and respected Puss (and still does), which is why he stuck his neck out in the first place. And also Death is a nice person in general, and basically just played the part of an evil jerk when dealing with Puss before. So he just takes it.
BUT THEN Puss notices how Death acts throughout their quest/journey (especially when he thinks Puss isn’t looking/paying attention). That he’s actually kind, considerate, and cares about others’ feelings (even something like a bug, helping it by flipping it over when it’s stuck on it’s back, and putting a baby bird back in its nest that got tipped, etc), and tries to figure out how that made any sense at all, considering what he put Puss through just a few weeks prior.
Eventually he does figure it out though (maybe right after the end of the adventure, when everything is resolved), putting Death’s actions through the lens of what seems to be his actual personality and moral compass. When confronting Death about it, Death urges him to stop, to not say what he’s thinking, but he can’t actually stop Puss, and when the words are out in the open Death gets in trouble with the higher powers.
Not wanting Death to be punished for what he did to him, since he now knew why he did it, Puss maybe goes through some trials to get an audience with said higher powers, and works his charms to get Death off the hook. Then they become friends or fall in love or something, the end~

Jason’s first thought — around the incredibly loud siren noise in his brain — is that Tim is too tall. He thinks it in the weird way that a person sometimes thinks a single rational thought in the middle of losing their mind, but still. Jason is certain that he’s an inch or two taller than he should be.
Taller-Tim frowns at the device in his hand, his eyes pinching in the corners. He shakes the thing once, twice, then taps it against his palm a few times, like maybe there’s something stuck in it.
“Damn it,” he mumbles, placing a hand on his hip.
“Tim?” Jason asks, his voice cracking right down the middle as the name slides out with the air that was stuck in his chest.
Tim’s head snaps up to look at him, and his face does something complicated. Not the kind of complicated that Jason is used to. Or, was used to. Before. Back when Tim was around to do things like look at Jason. Back when Tim was alive—
Nope. He hasn’t let himself think that for four months and he isn’t about to start now.
Especially not when Tim is looking at him.

Like either Rudy or Aiden is prince (it would make more sense that Rudy is but Aiden needs to fall in love with the daughter of the Sleeper) and he is planning to bring the kids of villains to their kingdom (the Pandavas and there is five of them instead of four) like you feel me? The Sleeper is the worst villain in the land and Aru is his daughter and like the leader of the Pandavas “gang” and she doesn’t wanna go but the Sleeper makes her (at the end he becomes Suyodhana again?) to steal the “nectar” that will free the villains from the Isle of the Lost.

I'm going to sound like a loser for a minute here but I am a tad bit disappointed every time I click on a video about commonplace notebook organization and then they proceed to show that they use it as a daily planner and/or to write down some thoughts on different topics. That is not commonplacing that's just journaling . what you are doing is keeping a journal
#jelly.txt#SORRY but i just i have so many different references and ideas i need to keep track of and am trying to find an efficient way to categorize#it all but every time i click on that's titled like 'how i organize my commonplace book' or 'my commonplace method' it's almost always#somebody with a hobonichi journal and showing how they use it to organize their day / thoughts and sometimes to write down quotes too#and it's like umm um well. no.#i know this is like a non-issue it's just slightly annoying because there's only been three videos i've found so far where somebody was#*actually* commonplacing but their method for how they categorize everything is something that wouldn't be efficient enough for me#so i just keep watching so many videos hoping i'll find more ideas but so far it's not looking promising . aheem heem
