Lindsey has been a part of the Efficacy family for years now, and so we were excited to let her energy and spunk light up the set for all to see. . After what had transpired with King Gustav and Prince Alfonse, Mars was at a loss for words. He couldn't help but picture himself and his father in the same scenario. Mars could only walk up to his own father and hug him.

Marth jolted at the sudden touch. He wasn’t in a great mental space as things were, what with King Gustav’s demise and Prince Alfonse’s relationship with the late king being altogether too reminiscent of his own with King Cornelius. Suddenly being touched -encircled, trapped- didn’t help.

“Gah! Oh, M-Mars, it’s you. D-don’t do that... that’s a bad idea at the best of times.” He quickly saw that the lad was upset himself, so he stepped closer and put his hands on Mars’s shoulders. “...it’s alright, Son. I’ll be alright. We’ve got to get it together, alright? Prince Alfonse and Princess Sharena need our support now.”

“Thank you, Big Brother!” Leave it to Mars to be the first to find her and congratulate her. Were Father and Mother even up yet? It didn’t even really matter.

He feels his body stiffen in an attempt to not recoil in hurt and disgust at himself. Ruthless, bloodthirsty conqueror… that was his legacy, wasn’t it? It was nothing he could help in a future so distant, and yet Alm can’t help but feel guilty. What could he have done different, so the tale passed down was right?

Instead of a tale of kindness and strength, of extremes that Gods took that harmed man and the middle ground that must be found through trial and error, it sounded like the tale of a monster.

He exhales and smiles anyway, because there’s nothing he can do, except offer kindness to a descendant so far down the line that he would have never met otherwise.

“I take it as one.” He says, voice soft and posture relaxing. “I’m… sorry. I truly am. Of all the things our people should have kept to heart of the pain of my present, I wish it had not been a lie that caused so much hurt.”

[Alfonse and Karin are always open to meeting new Heroes, although Tori might find it easier to strike up a friendship with Karin than with Alfonse. Nothing personal, you just know how he is.

Aryll really doesn’t have much to do with Akaneia normally, she’s kind of in charge of Valentia, but on the other hand being in touch with a knight of Akaneia would allow her to keep a close eye on Linnea, and I could see that turning to a friendship.

Now Christa and Tori, that I would be 100% down with. She knows her father was close with most of his knights, and even though she’s not a future ruler of Akaneia she wants to follow his example.]
