Open rp

Variel had made the discovery that she could sit half in, half out of window in the living room. It wasn’t entirely comfortable but being able to sit with one leg against the outside of her apartment building, the cold of the brick was helping. An unlit joint in between her fingers, focusing on the smell and the quiet sound of The Crane Wives that was coming from her phone speaker on her table.

To say she’d had a stressful evening would be understating it. She’d been called out to mediate a werewolf-vampire argument over territory which had almost ended very poorly and then been told that her pa, her uncle jace and aunt clary had the flu. Which of course meant that her dad, her brothers and most likely half the Institute were going to catch it as well. She’d had to cover their patrol route half-awake and surviving off coffee and the occasional hard pinch to her thighs to shock herself awake.

So she was very very much considering just getting high for a few hours to deal with it. Oh so considering it. That was until her front door swung open and the person standing there had her full attention

“You are aware that spare key is for emergencies yes?” She questioned, both eyebrows raised at them

MAGNUS had learned to be careful about giving his memories with his heart. When people d i e d, it felt like all the pieces of yourself you had given to them went as well. It took so long, building yourself back up until you were whole again, and you were NEVER entirely the same.

This does not need to get posted, but it is super disheartening to see the only real interactions on the dash thus far are several paragraph posts in what seems to be a ship. One scroll and a majority of the dash is that one single thread.

I'm honestly sorry you feel that way nonnie and ive been thinking about how to reply and thought about this as I looked through the dash and blogs of everyone in the rp but I also have to be honest and say I reply with what I can get . watching the dash and monitoring blogs for interest check / activity check since we opened ( aside from yesterday and today / i have been very busy ) its disheartening to see that most are inactive ( apart from two that messaged me regarding their schedule ) . rp is a group effort and when it comes to interactions I believe most take what they can get . if you're active or put out a starter , you will get replied to and thus far there have only been 4 starters put out and two which are mine have not been replied to . I'm trying hard to keep this afloat as I have so many ideas for the rp but if people aren't active ( because personally I will reply to any and every starter I see and plot with you ) , there's only so much I can do . this isn't just my group . it's OUR group . roleplaying is a partnership and it goes both ways . mcflymemes pretty much sums up my thoughts in this situation HERE : you cannot blame other people for your own inaction . you can't complain on the dash about not having any interactions or threads when you've never replied to all the plotting messages or starters. ( especially when literally only 3 people have been active and those same 2/3 people are the only ones on the dash .... so of course , you are going to see the same two or three threads on the dash if they are the only ones active . ) don't mistake this as a demand for constant replies or a constant presence on the dash . I would never expect that because real life comes first . we all have jobs and life outside of this wonderful hobby but please at least put in the effort of replying to starters that have no threads or at least posting your own because i can guarantee you that the same 3 people active here including myself WILL reply and reach out and plot when you put out a plotting call .
