Just had an idea. Limited life, but they don't have access to the timer. At least not fully.

It has the hours, minutes, and seconds. But every session it changes, and it's random for everyone. So one person could see their hours, another could only see their seconds. On the next session that could change.

It doesn't really affect anything at the start of the series, but then again, none of the previous life series affected much in the beginning.

The closer your timer gets to zero, the more worrying it becomes. If someone has access to only their hour clock, and it goes under an hour, they don't see how much time is left.

A person with only a few minutes left, their clock disappears. They have less than 60 seconds to live.

Any minute can be someone's last for a person who only sees their seconds.

I don't know, it's 3am and this just came to me. Maybe it's just cooler in my head lol

anyone have any recommendations for a timer (not an app. like an actual clock i can put on the table) with a chime sound, or quiet beep, or some other not annoying/jarring sound?

most alarm sounds freak me out and i dont have a smartphone.

im always dehydrated so i want to try having a chime go off every half hour or hour to remind me.... (i've already looked at chiming clocks and cant find one)

Alas, my trusty Trudeau kitchen timer took a fatal dive after the factory glue holding the timer to the magnet holding it to the fridge door decided to end it all. Rest in pieces.

On the upside, it missed the cats’ large porcelain water bowl by mere inches.

Here is a favorite of mine.. have a Google or Alexa speaker? Do you use it for a cooking timer? Do you know you can have multiple timers and name them to keep them separate?

For instance:

Alexa, set a turkey timer for 2 hours

Alexa, set a dressing timer for 35 minutes.

Later:

Alexa how much time is left on my turkey timer?

Then:

Alexa add 30 minutes to the turkey timer.

Alexa cancel the dressing timer.

Neat!
