When I was a kid one of my moms would call her period "moon time" or "her monthlies" or shit like that and my other mom straight up stealthed it, but when I'm a dad I think I'm gonna go straight down the middle and call it Werewolf Week. Like sorry kids, dad can't roughouse right now, it's Werewolf Week

Mental health is not an option, it’s a priority. Now is the Time to Talk.
Everyone must embrace their mental well-being when they feel sad, angry or depressed about something they find hard to explain. Back in my youth, I was tackling my stress levels when I was in one of those emotions and I would probably attack someone if my outbursts continued to worsen. Today, I was taking the time to balance studying and relaxing without getting too overwhelmed because upon seeing these facts from British mental health charity Mind, whether true or false, they are useful and informative to most people who have had mental issues.
For example: "It's okay to describe somebody with a mental health problem as 'crazy', 'weird', 'odd' or 'mad'." Are they, though? We've seen people with mental illness get detained in psychiatric wards for addressing one of the four words listed in the table. The best suitable choice would be to tell someone that the person has a mental health issue and just end it there.
Let's look at another example: "The only person who can help someone with a mental health problem is themselves." Let's take a moment to answer that question: could you rely on yourself in case you have a defect with your mental health? Definitely not, because you need to speak with someone who can help you deal with those mental problems when you feel really overwhelmed. That's why you can take the time to communicate with someone to sort out these issues and recover yourself from doing something that is deemed "too overwhelming".
During recovery time, mental health is linked closely to your financial problems and physical health due to reasons that can adjust and maintain your personal well-being. On top of that, some people who were teenagers had experienced mental health issues as adults do. I am one of those people because in that age group, I was begrudging studies almost all of the time and I had to throw many meltdowns when my blood pressure went over the edge. This led me to disastrous consequences and I can't fathom the mistakes that I had to learn, only to repeat them again.
This February, I promise to keep my cool when I am at university because the second term has gone well so far since my first week back there. If it gets to a certain point when my stress levels get even higher, I will have to take the time out and do something relaxing until I come back to studying. This Time to Talk Day, I will change my mental health for the better in my studies until graduation.
To everyone with mental health problems who has taken the time to read my blog about this very special day, I know what you're going through and I hope you can relate to this blog post just like I do.

anyone else have multiple traumatic memories associated specifically with holidays/family vacations? because that is a topic I never see discussed in all the So You Had A Shitty Childhood, Now What? self-help books i've been reading. but for me, it was a significant thing. and the more i think about it the more it seems like this would be an (unfortunately) common experience. would be grateful to hear if this matches other peoples' experiences...

This post is your reminder that you are not obligated to blog about current events.
Things are bad. Really bad. Do not let people guilt trip you into tormenting yourself even further over the fact that things are bad. Doomscrolling is not activism.
If you're just on tumblr to blorbopost or reblog pretty pictures, you are not harming people by inaction.
You are not a bad person for not dedicating every aspect of your life and leisure space to whatever disgusting mask-off attack on human life and dignity some government has decided to enact.
Take action where you can, but don't confuse doomscrolling and digital self harm for action.
If you need to lose yourself in blorboposting, go for it.
If you need to log off for the day, whether it's to take irl action or to protect what little sanity any of us have left over the past 7 years, then by all means, do.
Morale is important. Hope is important. Small joys keep us from burning out completely in times like this. Do not let any "if you don't reblog this I'm judging you" guilt trip convince you otherwise.

i have this headcanon that percy and annabeth are raging accidental flirts. but not with each other. like. they'll go to the coffee shop on fifteenth street. and compliment the barista on his hair and clothes and tip really well. but only for him. and they have no idea this boy is absolutely swooning over them. or. each time they to go the bakery downtown. they take the time to converse with the waitress at the counter as they eat her homemade muffins. and are incredibly vocal about how she's their favorite server. and how much they enjoy seeing her. and suddenly they're the only two customers that can get her services for free. except, they just think she's like that with everyone.

While there's much talk today of what we can do to help people with their mental health - and that's necessary - does it not seem like something should be done to identify & remedy the long-term causes of today's ballooning mental health crisis? Naturally speaking, a significant part of the problem is that society has been structured in a way that destroys individual worth. Yes, we hear a lot about it, but recent history, particularly here in England, is rife with powerful people abusing their responsibility & calling the shots to benefit themselves to the detriment of the general populace, as is our current world, with its soulless landscape carved by superhuman institutions run by the same people. On a supernatural level, I would also suggest a deeper cause in the loss of the sense of the transcendent reality of who we are, where we've come from, and where we're going. I find the supernatural answer in my Catholic Faith, and I point this out because from my Faith comes my interest in the traditional economics of Distributism, the traditional social model of Medieval Corporatism & Localism, and the more recently developed principles of Neo-Traditional Urbanism. Nearly two years ago, I went on a walk around Bristol taking photos & videos which I hoped to use to start turning my blog into a multimedia channel with a video & audio podcast, some of which were published at the time (there's a fun story to that, but you'll have to find it to read it), and now I'm using some more, because Queen's Square, reminiscent of the height of Bristol's global trading prowess, is a place whose beautiful design represents the best of human-centred happy places, but whose historical associations may not be that pleasant. But that's history, and when we learn to separate out the good to be preserved & developed from the bad to be consigned to the books, we learn to guide the course of human progress in the right direction so that it benefits more the everyday human. More to come... https://www.instagram.com/p/CoLJ4YZIFHT/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

after you and katsuki have the "baby talk", you're being wrapped up in him in bed and your toes are curled and you can feel the nerves tingling even in the tips of your fingers and you're shuddering through the aftershocks of a GREAT orgasm and he's so close and fucking you so deeply and lovingly and he sits up suddenly, back on his knees, to ask—
"'kay, 'm not," he's breathing so hard, skin tan and gleaming with sweat, and you don't know if he notices, but his hands are shaking when he rests them on your thighs. "'m not pullin' out, right?"
you try to swallow and your throat is dry, the nerves in your belly buzzing for a different reason. "yeah," you breathe, shifting your hips absently, yearning for the friction when he hisses and holds you still. "i mean, unless you...want to."
"d'you want me to?"
and despite the fact that you just had this conversation—you feel shy, suddenly, a little flustered at the thought that he's, essentially, putting a baby in you.
but katsuki swallows hard and wets his lips and he's flushed, in the low light of your bedroom. it could be from all the activity, sure, but his own end is coming a lot sooner than it usually does and you have an idea why that might be.
"no," you tell him, honestly, "not really."
before he can finish letting out his sharp exhale, he's back on you, cradling your face in his hands as he speaks, breathless, against your lips. "fine by me."
(and it doesn't take much more than that.)
