Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation.

Nine years ago I made this because my very old dog Az was slowly failing, and no longer able to enjoy walks, but he still liked the warmth of the fire and the company of my other dogs, and a very short bimble, where once he would have run like the wind.
As an old boy he forgot all the terrors and anxieties that troubled him when he was younger (he had terrible separation anxiety and was afraid of loud voices and men with sticks). I truly think that he was happy.
Good boy Az. You were the best old dog.

I see you in my face.
My eyes are red rimmed and my cheeks are stained with tears but they are yours still.
The details of your expression have begun to wander from my mind. I only have pictures to remember you by now.
I wait for the day that I meet you again. Deep in the earth where my worms find yours. When the heat death of the universe mixes all our atoms where they cannot be separated again.
Until then, I will carry you with me in my nose, my eyebrows, my pinky fingers, my heart.

this is long overdue, but I actually watched the movie "till we meet again" (月老) on the plane when I flew from vancouver to japan a couple months ago. I know none of you remember, but I was so adamant on wanting to watch this when it first came out because I loved vivian sung and I loved the fact that a song william sang was going viral. I had heard from my taiwanese friend that the overall conesus of the movie was kind of meh, so it dampened my spirits a bit and when it finally came out onto disney+ I added it onto my watchlist but never watched it until I had 9 hours of spare time on a plane and bro... I cried. In my memory, I don't think it lived up to my expectations of it changing my life but I definitely found it touching and sad. I'm rereading the whole plot on wikipedia and I just remembered I SOBBED when their dog died 😭😭😭 long story short, a man dies in a freak accident and leaves his girlfriend to mourn his death. he arrives in the underworld and becomes a cupid of sorts who's job is to help those in the mortal world find love. he finds his girlfriend again, and lingers around her to protect her and to help her find a new soulmate now that he's dead. he's essentially a ghost... but there's a scene where he sees his girlfriend walking their dog past him, and his dog turns his head back and stares at him. eventually, the dog dies and he ends up in the underworld too and when the man is in trouble, he's the one who saves him. much alike how, when the dog was a puppy, the man picks him up as a stray and saves him from being abused by the neighborhood kids. I can't describe this movie without writing a three page essay but I crode, and I liked it. some parts of the story were definitely a bit of a drag but more or less, everything was kind of necessary when I read the plot in full. I probably wouldn't watch this again but for sure that dog scene did some damage
