Daily fish fact #420
Tilapia!
Tilapia is a fish that is commonly farmed in aquaculture, unfortunately causing great stress as they can be packed very tight together on farms! Scientists have tried to see if cannabinoids have any calming effect on tilapias — and fish in general — for this reason, but so far they seem to be immune to their effects! The tilapias acted completely normal, only having an increased appetite.

“A container for cosmetics or possibly medical ointment, this covered dish represents a tilapia fish. The tilapia symbolized fertility and was believed to promote abundance on earth and a renewed life after death. This container's lid swivels open at the tail.”
