Imagine: Loki finding the Norse mythology book in your room and thinking you’ll be terrified of him now.
Tumblr media
You set the book down on your bed, leaving it open at the spot you’d been reading, and walked out of your room, not bothering to close the door. You had no worries about anyone coming in.
Well, except for Thor. And that would only be because he forgot something of his on your desk after playing a game with you and Loki. (By playing I mean losing miserably)
Loki poked his head in the doorway. “Y/n?” When he didn’t see you he turned to leave but stopped, the brightly colored book on your bed catching his eye. He took one look at the contents and his stomach turned into a tight knot. You were the only one who didn’t judge him for his actions in New York. But now that you have read this? He would be shocked if you could even walk past him without cowering in fear.
Loki walked down the hall with his head hung low. He went into the kitchen and plopped down in a chair. He had been planning to tell you something that had been at the front of his mind for weeks now. He was going to tell you that he loved you but now? Now he was heartbroken and angry with himself. Why did he have to be so foolish all those years ago?
“Loki, you ok?” You asked, bringing him back from his thoughts.
Loki took one look at you and scooted his chair away, not wanting to frighten you. “I-I’m fine…” he said in a quiet voice, not meeting your gaze, trying to seem as unintimidating as possible.
You went to touch his shoulder when you saw, though he tried to hide it, a tear slipped down his cheek.
Your heart clenched at the sight and you gave his hand a gentle squeeze. “Are you sure you’re ok?”
Loki trembled before letting out a sob that he tried to suppress, his whole body moving as he did so. He then stood and silently walked out of the room, brushing away tears as he did so.
You waited a moment before going to his room and knocking on his door.
“I need to be alone right now,” came a muffled voice.
You frowned and walked away, wondering what was bothering him.
You re-entered the kitchen and decided to make a batch of cookies. You’d overheard Thor mention that Loki hadn’t gotten to try many Midgardian foods yet.
You settled on just a simple batch of chocolate chip cookies, nothing too extravagant.
Thor walked in as you began to put the ingredients in the mixer. “What ya doin’?”
You looked over at Thor with a slight frown. “Loki is in a bad mood, something upset him so I figured I’d make something for him, sweets always seem to make me feel better.”
Thor put an arm around you. “I’m glad Loki has you looking out for him.”
You smiled.
Thor ended up helping you with the cookies, occasionally sneaking chocolate chips along the way when he thought you weren’t looking.
“Thor Odinson! Put it down! Quit eating the ingredients or there won’t be any left to make cookies with!” You scolded, shaking your head and playfully waking his hand as you chuckled.
Loki decided to slip out of his room and head to the kitchen, he wanted to steal Thor’s leftovers from the Chinese restaurant. That’s when he saw you laughing as you held up a spoon to Thor's mouth. “Say ah.”
Thor ate whatever was on the spoon and smiled. “Perfect.”
Loki felt a new wave of tears and ran back to his room where he cried into his pillow. Did you love Thor?
-.-.-
When you finished with the cookies you put a few on a plate. “I’ll leave the rest for whoever wants it.” You said. “Don’t eat them all, Thor!”
You knocked on Loki’s door. No answer. You slowly opened it and found Loki asleep on his bed, his shirt had ridden up a bit revealing a few scars on his back. You quietly walked over set the cookies on his bedside table and scribbled a little note. You then covered him with an extra blanket since he’d fallen asleep on the comforter.
You were about to leave when Loki let out a sad whimper in his sleep. You frowned and hesitated before leaning down, brushing aside the hair that fell on his face, and placing a gentle kiss on his temple. “I love you Loki…” you whispered. “I wish I could say that to you when you were awake…”
You turned to see Thor standing in the doorway, phone in his hand. “I got it all on camera.”
“Thor!” You whisper yelled and ran after him. “Come back here!”
Loki roused from his sleep and placed his hand on his temple where you’d kissed him only a moment before. He looked over and saw the plate along with the note. He grabbed a cookie, biting it and he glanced at the note.
‘I’m always here if you need someone to talk to
-y/n
P.S. Thor helped make the cookies, I can’t take all the credit.’
Loki closed his eyes and slowly chewed, feeling a little better already, knowing both you and Thor went out of your way to make him feel better.
Then Thor walked passed with you swung over his shoulder. “Put me down!” You hissed. “Oh Loki you’re awake! Please save me!”
“No, she’s mine!” Thor yelled, running off.
“Loki help!”
Loki found himself smiling. If you were asking for help, maybe you didn’t fear him after all. “Thor unhand the fair maiden!” Loki shouted, setting down the half-eaten cookie and running after him, dagger in hand.
“Loki!”
Loki tackled Thor then decided to take the chance.  He took you bridal style and walked away.
You smiled letting your head fall on his chest. “Thank you, Loki.” Loki found himself blushing at your words and took you to his room, setting you on the bed. He sat next to you, offering a lopsided smile.
That smile made your heart swell and you smiled back. “I’m here,” you whispered, squeezing his hand.
And just like that, a sliver of dread coiled on his stomach. His expression fell and he felt tears threatening to return.
Just as he was sure he’d break down in another wave, he felt something wrap around him. He looked down to see you holding him close. “I’m here, I’m willing to listen if you need it.”
Then, Loki’s phone buzzed. Loki put one arm around you and picked up his phone with the other. He clicked on the message from Thor, watching the video with the volume of. He watched with a straight face as you left the cookies. A small smile adorned his face when you put the blanket on him. Then shock when you kissed him. He looked down at you as you continued to stay with your arms wrapped around his middle.
Loki smiled. “Y/n…”
You looked up. “What is it?”
“You really aren’t afraid of me?”
“What?”
Loki frowned. “Y-that book you were reading… aren’t you… don’t I scare you?”
You sighed. “Is this what was upsetting you?”
Loki nodded, tears collecting in his eyes.
You put your arms around his neck. “Loki, the past doesn’t define who you are today…”
Loki smiled.
“Though I am curious as to how accurate that book is…”
He raised a brow.
“Are you really a giant?”
Loki’s face lost its color. “I-I…” he sighed. “Yes…”
You looked up at him, placing your hands on his cheeks. “C-can I see?”
Loki hesitated for a moment before allowing his skin to slowly change to blue and his eyes to turn red. He expected you to cower. But instead, you slowly traced the designs on his body, stopping at the collar of his button-up shirt.
Loki hesitated for a moment before slowly unbuttoning the shirt.
You stared at this muscular chest as your cheeks heated up before you traced the outline of his abs.
Loki blushed at the realization that you were admiring his body.
You looked up at him and smiled. “Why would I ever fear this?”
Loki felt tears prick his eyes once more. Not tears of sadness but of relief. You didn’t see him as a monster.
You put your arms around him before shivering. “L-Loki your c-cold as ice…” Loki frowned, noticing Thor in the doorway.
Thor smiled, winked, shoved an entire cookie in his mouth, and walked off.
Loki hesitated for a second before placing a kiss on the top of your head. “I love you…”
You looked up at him and smiled softly, pulling his blue head closer and placing your lips on his.
Loki turned back into his Asgardian form and you moaned from contentment, he was warm now.
Fifteen minutes later, you were asleep at Loki’s side. A smile on your face.
When you woke, you found Thor had posted a picture of you asleep on Loki’s chest in the avenger’s group chat with the caption. “Took these two long enough” underneath.
Loki fumed for a moment, sighed, and tossed the phone on the carpet. “I’ll get for that later but as for now…” he looked at you with a smirk before pulling you closer and placing his lips on yours. “For now I’m content…” he mumbled, holding you in his arms and closing his eyes.

Destroyer dynamics
Tumblr media
You know how everyone says that if Thor was alive after Ragnarok, he and Kratos would have a bff type of dynamic? I disagree.
I think their dynamic would be a father-son dynamic.
Think about it. Everyone in the game wants you to believe that Thor is like Young Kratos, but when we see him ourselves, he's simply nowhere near Young Kratos in any regard. Strength , speed, violence, intellect, feats and atrocities. Thor does it for the love of the fight. Kratos did it for cruelty. Every fantasy Thor could ever have Kratos has lived.
Thor is hurt, lost and confused. He needs someone to guide him. To be kind to him and nurture him the same way Atreus was nurtured. Kratos would be perfect for that.
Odin pretended to be nice but he hurt and humiliated Thor constantly and treated him as a tool. That was Thor's childhood, and when Kratos with his tough exterior helps him, Thor expects to be treated the same way. He is surprised that Kratos is nice to him. Doesn't tell him to kill things. says to him things like "What do you think, Thor?" or "What do you want to do, Thor? or "How did it feel to do X, Thor?".
When he sees Kratos's past, he comes to respect Kratos in a way he never respected his father.Kratos is his idol. He is trying to help him and he is nicer to him than anyone ever was since his mother was alive.
Plus Loki and Thor are said to be brothers in the myths.
100% father-son dynamic. No question.

Canvas of Love
Thor x reader
Tumblr media
Summary: a fleeting shadow of jealousy tests the unyielding bond of two intertwined souls.
****
The storm outside mirrored the tempest in your heart as you sat on the edge of your bed, staring blankly at the rain streaking down your window. It had been a rough day, one that felt heavier because Thor wasn’t there to share the burden. He was away on a mission with the Avengers, something about a rogue Asgardian artifact that needed retrieving.
You missed him, more than you cared to admit. His absence left a gaping void in your life, a void you tried filling with work and friends, but nothing seemed to work.
It was on one of these lonely evenings that you met Alex. He was charming, funny, and most importantly, he was there. You two had hit it off instantly, and soon enough, he became a regular part of your life. A good friend, you reminded yourself. Just a friend.
Thor knew about Alex, of course. You'd mentioned him casually in your conversations. But what you hadn’t mentioned was how much time you were spending with him. It wasn’t intentional; it just never came up. Or maybe you were afraid of how Thor would react.
Your phone buzzed, snapping you out of your reverie. It was a message from Thor: “My love, I will be home tomorrow. I have missed you dearly.”
You smiled, a warm flutter in your heart. You typed a quick reply and set the phone aside, your thoughts drifting back to Alex. He had invited you to his art exhibition tomorrow. You were looking forward to it, but now Thor was coming home...
The conflict in your mind was like a knot, tightening with every passing moment.
Thor arrived the next day, his presence filling the apartment instantly. He was like a force of nature—strong, vibrant, and utterly captivating. You ran into his arms, the familiar scent of him enveloping you, bringing an instant sense of peace.
“I missed you,” you murmured against his chest.
“And I, you,” Thor replied, his voice a deep rumble. He pulled back, looking at you with those intense blue eyes. “Tell me about your week. Did anything interesting happen?”
You hesitated for a fraction of a second before answering. “It was the usual. Work, home... Oh, and I’m going to Alex’s art exhibition tonight. He’s really excited about it.”
Thor’s expression changed subtly, a flicker of something unreadable in his eyes before he masked it with a smile. “That sounds delightful. Would you mind if I join you?”
The question caught you off guard. “Of course not! I’d love for you to come.”
The rest of the day passed in a blur. Thor was his usual self, loving and attentive, but you couldn’t shake off the feeling that something was amiss.
The exhibition was lively, the gallery buzzing with the chatter of the city's art enthusiasts. Alex’s work was the center of attention—vibrant, abstract pieces that spoke of passion and chaos.
“Your friend is very talented,” Thor commented as you both stood before a particularly striking canvas.
“He is,” you agreed, watching Alex interact with the guests. He hadn’t seen you yet.
Just then, Alex spotted you and made his way over, his face lighting up. “You made it!” He hugged you, a little too long, a little too close.
Thor’s jaw tightened ever so slightly, but he extended his hand. “I am Thor. It is a pleasure to meet the man behind these extraordinary works.”
Alex shook his hand, a hint of challenge in his eyes. “Thanks, man. I’ve heard a lot about you.”
The evening progressed, but the tension between Thor and Alex was palpable. You tried to ease the atmosphere, laughing a little too loudly at jokes, and engaging in conversations a bit too enthusiastically.
As the night wound down, Thor’s mood seemed to darken. You couldn’t take it anymore. “Do you want to go home?” you asked.
Thor nodded, and you both excused yourselves.
The walk home was quiet, the silence a stark contrast to the noisy streets around you. You could feel Thor’s turmoil, his usually calm demeanor now a stormy sea.
Once inside, Thor finally spoke. “Do you have feelings for him?”
His question was direct, his voice steady but laced with an emotion you couldn’t quite place. Was it...jealousy?
“No, Thor, of course not. He’s just a friend,” you replied, your voice earnest.
Thor looked at you, his gaze searching. “I trust you, but tonight, seeing you with him... it stirred something within me. A feeling I have not known before.”
You moved closer, taking his hand in yours. “Thor, you have nothing to worry about. I love you. Only you.”
There was a vulnerability in Thor’s eyes that you had never seen before. He was a god, a warrior, but in that moment, he was just a man, in love and afraid of losing you.
He wrapped his arms around you, pulling you close. “I know, my love. It is I who must apologize. My reaction was unwarranted. You have given me no reason to doubt your love.”
You looked up at him, your heart swelling with love for this extraordinary man who had become your world. “It’s okay, Thor. I understand. But know this, no matter who comes into my life, you will always be the one I choose. Every time.”
Thor kissed you then, a kiss that spoke of love, trust, and a promise of forever. In his arms, you felt safe, loved, and home.
The next few days were blissful, as if the incident at the gallery had never happened. Thor was more attentive, more present, and you felt your bond strengthen.
You decided to talk to Alex, to set boundaries, to make sure he understood that your relationship was strictly platonic. Alex took it well, understanding and apologetic.
As you lay in bed that night, Thor’s arms wrapped around you, you realized how lucky you were. Love, true love, was hard to find, and you had found it with Thor. He was more than a partner; he was your best friend, your confidant, your home.
“You are everything to me,” Thor whispered, as if reading your thoughts.
“And you are my everything,” you whispered back, snuggling closer.
In that moment, everything felt perfect. The past was behind you, and the future was a canvas waiting to be painted, bright and full of love.
And as you drifted off to sleep, you knew that no matter what life threw at you, as long as you had each other, everything would be alright.

Alright, whoever the writer (s) on the MCU What If staff is who is willing to portray Odin as the villain he is, and sympathizes with his children/victims, I would very much like to buy them a drink! I seriously doubt this will ever happen in the main timeline, but it’s nice to see that it happened somewhere.

You ever think about the fear Loki must have felt after going to Jotunheim that first time? Before he confronted Odin? That spike of anxiety and fear that must've rolled through him as he watched his skin turn blue? You ever think about what must've been going through his mind? His mind must've been racing, heart hammering in his chest as he tried to push it away and come up with another explanation in his mind for what happened, for what he saw. Of course, none made any sense. Of course, they didn't. There was really only one true explanation and the feeling of abdolute dread he would get at that thought. That feeling of absolute dread as the thought that he was one of *them*, a monster, went through his mind. Loki would now think he understands why he's always been treated differently, why he was always the lesser son and he'd think that he was never truly loved. The absolute burning hatred towards himself that would swelter up inside of him because he was taught all his life that the Jotunns, the Frost Giants, were bloodthirsty monsters, that there was nothing redeemable about them, that they were meant for nothing more than to meet the end of a blade. "The monster parents tell their children about at night." And he was one of them. And in the end, in a mad, desperate scramble for power, for control, for *love*, he tried to do what he was taught. To make his father proud. To make up for what he was maybe. To earn that love he so desperately wanted, needed because more than anything he is lonely and he hates it. Hates how long the feeling has been with him, how much it's grown since finding out his true heritage. But in the end he was met with disapproval. And all that loneliness, and anger, and hatred, all that sadness was too much. And so, he let go. He fell into the void with the intention of never coming back. You ever think about that?

Modi's potential
Tumblr media
Hey @charalysis. I wanna read your thoughts on a perspective for Modi I had while writing my fic.
I previously said that Modi was trying to be like his father and yet failed, right?
Well, who is he actually like?
Tumblr media
Think about it. Modi tried to be like his father in battle. Rushing into battle without thinking, not wearing armor and dressing like his father, and having a mace that mimicks Mjolnir. But he couldn't mimic his father's lack of caution or concern for his safety. He got a mace that can shoot lightning from a distance. He got a shield. He has a blinding technique with his brother. Modi is a man of caution like his grandfather. He likes using magic more than physical attacks. He likes to defend himself and hinder his enemy before finishing them off.
When Thor comes to Kratos's house, he is polite. He asks permission. He brings a gift. He sets his weapon down. He doesn't talk lowly to Kratos or insult him. Modi is not like that. Odin is not like that.
Odin barges into the house, struts around like he owns the place, insults Thor and his children drinks from both cups and just flaunts his power. Modi threatens Mimir, makes fun of Atreus and angers him, and insults Faye and Kratos. Modi is a talker. A flaunter like his grandfather.
Modi is like Odin in many ways. He is Half-giant and probably exhibited signs of giant magic before Thor beat it out of him. He is stuck between trying to be like Thor and being his nature which is similar to Odin. I think if Modi turned out to be alive and started embracing his nature. He would use a Spear/Shield combo. The spear is a dangerous, long distance melee weapon and it can double as a magical staff, and the shield to protect him. I think he would start embracing his giant magic as well and learn many spells like Odin.
If Modi was alive, and stopped trying to be like Thor, he might have become like Odin. Even became his right hand when he was alive. I say he would no longer be afraid of his father and seek revenge against him. You might say he'd be traumatised, but he has spent his entire life in fear of his father that the near-death beating he gave him was basically a breaking point.
What do you think?
