I don't think the Seven Deadly Sins are Fallen Angels.

Not only do they not look like the two canonical fallen angels we've seen (Lucifer&Vaggie), but Asmodeus also says that "I've known that guy [Mammon] since the start of hell". If they were both fallen angels, I think they'd have known each other before they fell.

And there's also no inclination at any point that anyone other than Lilith and Lucifer fell, (supported by him later telling Charlie that "Heaven never listens! They didn't listen to me, they won't listen to you!" in episode 5 of Hazbin Hotel?)

So, what are they then? Well, I think we've already got the answer in the show. Asmodeus is the embodiment of lust. He's not just an especially lustful demon or fallen angel or sinner; he is the literal sin of Lust given form and mind.

Of course, this leads the question of why Lucifer is a Sin when he's not an actual literal embodiment of Pride, for which I've got some ideas but nothing really backed up with evidence so I won't put them here.

when it comes to people who acknowledge and love all sides of jiang xuening, shen zhiyi cannot be forgotten.

yes, dianxia does have a bit of a lovesick filter on when it comes to her beloved ningning, but she also knows who jiang xuening is as a person. she isn’t so blind as to casually miss her fierce temper, ignore her schemes and manipulation, and disregard her poor choices— you can see it in shen zhiyi’s expressions and tone, the concerns she voices, and particularly through her perspective in the novel— but these things could never make her love jiang xuening any less.

shen zhiyi isn’t oblivious. she knows that jiang xuening uses her at times to get what she wants, but what’s important is that she doesn’t care. she never has and she never will, because everything she does is her choice. she only wants jiang xuening to know that she doesn’t have to do anything at all to get her support, because she will always be there by her side, without any conditions attached.

there is no doubt that jiang xuening is the person she trusts most in the world. even if jiang xuening makes a decision she doesn’t particularly agree with, she will still never raise any complaint to her. shen zhiyi trusts that jiang xuening’s judgment and choices are right for herself, even if they’re not right to her, and it’s as simple as that. if there are any consequences, she will be there to resolve them. jiang xuening couldn’t lose her if she tried.

shen zhiyi and xie wei are the only two characters in kunning who see past all of jiang xuening’s sides, good and bad, and still recognize her true heart. the way they love her is different but also the same; if shen zhiyi is her shield, then xie wei is her sword.

and jiang xuening chooses them both.

“Argh!” Grian pained getting the attention of his soulmate from where he stood prostrate on the ground – Scar had just tripped and scraped his knee, the wound in Grian’s leg mirroring it.

“Oh, G, I’m-” Scar started putting his hands against dirt to raise himself and stopping just to sigh defeated and continue his phrase. “I’m so sorry.”

“It’s okay.” Grian said in a half smile, getting closer and offering him a hand. “Scar, you are a disaster.” He said in an affable sigh while helping the man his soul was bound to up.

And looking at half a thousand drawings made of scars, scratches and scrapes on his soulmate’s face, he had but one single thought – for his three life’s sake, why would the Fates be so cruel? For he was, once, twice and once again stuck to Scar.

Stuck to a reckless man that trips on his own feet and falls to a gust of wind while running to his arms; stuck to a foolish man that grazed his face on branches and pricked his fingers on flowers to give to him.

No. Scar was not to blame – only if you consider him insisting on keeping by Grian’s damned side as enough to be at fault.

And there we have another one; Scar was too stubborn for his own good. He would go against anyone, the Fates, Death herself – just to stay at the avian’s side, once, twice and once again.

“Reckless.” Grian said out loud to Scar’s tilted face that stared right back at him. “Foolish.” He continued in a brash and rushed tone. “And stubborn.” He finally smiled lovingly.

Yes, Scar was a disaster.

Wether you've been friends/mutuals for 6 days, 6 months or 6 years, you don't owe someone your space and content. Your blog is your space, you make it what it is, you decide what's on it. DNI violation and personal harassment is not the only valid reason to block someone. If you find yourself waiting and searching for a reason to block someone, just waiting for them to slip up again, just block them and be done with it. One small reason is reason enough. One suspicion is reason enough.

I've blocked people for supporting the same shit I have but being annoying or performative about it. I've blocked people cause I found one word on their whole blog thats only used by proshippers. I've blocked people for being part of a fandom I know is toxic and them showing signs of being on the toxic side. Any small reason is enough and you don't owe that person "the chance to change/prove themselves". Not on the Internet. This isnt a parent or long time irl friend, this could be a person you dm daily or a person who liked a single one of your posts.

I'm tired of the social expectation that I should have at least 3 reasons to be able to block someone or a clear violation of boundaries. If you have bad vibes, I don't have to let you prove yourself or interact with me or my content. Yeah, it's nice to have the reasons but you don't have to have them. This applies to even irl interactions. So much weird shit I've been argued with about on places like tiktok or twitter have been benefited from me just saying, quoting a popular post from here " your either not having this convo in good faith or your world view is so warped from reality that there are days worth of things you'd have to unlearn for us to understand each other. This is pointless so it is here we must part" and a swift block in the ass.

Yeah, socially it's nice to keep contact with that one ex-coworker who never seemed to understand you two aren't friends, just acquaintances but the reality is there is no actual reason to keep that contact. That doesn't excuse yelling at them or insulting them or anything but they aren't entitled to your time and attention. Your not friends, slowly but gracefully, cut them off. Online people are not any different. I don't owe you conversation or attention or anything other than basic human respect. I also owe myself respect and if your constantly disrespecting me, even if unintentionally, I have the right to enact the consequences and block.

Favorite Fictional Ladies Alphabet C is for: Cordelia Chase

In the realm of TV shows aimed at teens, there are Queen (B)ees, and then there are Queen. Fricking. (B)ees. For me (someone who always enjoys a good loudmouthed bish with low levels of tact and absolutely ZERO respect for the meaning of the phrase shut up), the early seasons of Buffy were kind of difficult, because I frequently questioned who was my favorite B-word: Buffy or Cordelia.

Yeah, Cordelia essentially serves as the reliable antagonist in Buffy’s day-to-day, non-slaying world, and yeah, she’s a pretty, popular, runs-the-school-and-everyone-in-it kind of girl rather than an outsider who instantly commands sympathy, but what of it? An antagonist is, after all, just someone who opposes/causes trouble for the protagonist, and as Cordy herself would point out, being the It™ girl in high school isn’t really all it’s made out to be.

Besides, let’s be honest here: antagonists are not automatically evil simply because they’re arguing with the protagonist, and while Cordelia may be mean, self-centered, and almost unbelievably shallow at times, she is not stupid and she is rarely wrong. Every group of world-saving heroes needs someone with the backbone to say the rude-but-true thing everyone’s thinking, and Cordelia’s more than happy to be that person.

Why she’s my girl:

Despite her overt vanity, callous treatment of wallflowers like Willow, well-cemented status as human-thorn-in-Buffy’s-side, and inexplicable fondness for sweaters knotted around the neck (no, baby, no!) Cordelia commands my undying respect. Regardless of whatever insane situation she’s in, Cordelia is always and reliably Cordelia, aka Cordy, aka Queen C. Whether she’s addressing humans, vamps, or other monsters, she’s loud, opinionated, and ready with an arsenal of insults that sting all the more because there’s a lot of truth in them.

But as cutting as she can be, she’s also (arguably) the least hypocritical of all Buffy’s non-evil characters, mostly because she’s just so straightforward about who she is: not the runner-up, but The Queen. Not a sheep, but a trendsetter. Not someone who tells lies to protect egos or fragile self-esteem. (Remember that time Buffy could hear everyone’s thoughts and only Cordy’s exactly matched the words that left her mouth?)

Her relationship with Buffy and co. is more in the frenemy category than anything else, and she’s just as liable to ridicule/flat-out bully as she is to lend assistance, but she sticks with them (for the most part) despite everything. “Nice” isn’t a part of the deal, and though she’s very clear about that, she’s not the dumb, stone-cold, heartless flake everyone around her tends to think. Yes, her concerns are almost never what people think they ought to be, yes, she exasperates everyone with her skillfully brutal assessments of people and situations, and yes, she never misses the chance to criticize someone’s fashion or lack thereof. But she also gives people rides whenever they need them, staunchly defends those she decides to consider part of her circle, and refuses to accept less than what she knows she deserves. She is a fighter when it comes right down to it, but she’s also a very cool realist—if someone else is willing to do the fighting for her, why should she bother making the effort and ruining her manicure? If a formidable foe challenges just one person to a fight, why should she go along and risk her life?

No, she’s not kind, yes, she makes comments so cutting they’re probably better described as cruel, but she’s also extremely strong, smart, and layered in a way that’s typically not seen in HBIC TV characters both before and since. And every once in a while, albeit essentially never on purpose, Cordy lets it slip that her bitchy, shallow, valley-girl exterior actually conceals a beating human heart—a pretty big one, at that—and it’s kind of beautiful.
