In retrospect mildly confused by how many Christian songs my state school sang but at least we didn't miss out the second verse of O Holy Night. Like COWARDS.

#it is quite simply one of the best bits in any Christmas carol because it gets! the point!#chains shall he break/for the slave is our brother #there is no point to this faith of ours if God isn't coming along to lift up the humble/ and throw down the mighty from their thrones #(that's the magnificat there)#this post brought to you by discovering my advent playlist has 4 renditions of o holy night (presumably i was auditioning them and hadn't #yet decided which to keep) and only ONE of them goes there #the te reo version gets half a pass for not including it. but not a whole pass.
