Fun fact: While recording for season 2 of Dragons Rising, Sam Vincent was Actually undergoing his own mental crisis with horrible visions of dangers to come!

So that scene where he calls out to the Source Dragons for answers? That's his real and genuine frustrations, that wasn't in the script, hell the Source Dragons weren't even gonna be in the show until heard Sam kinda just... started venting in the recording booth. Then, after they had finished recording they overhauled s1 slightly, to add in Source Dragons.

My source? Dude just trust me...

Brian needs to watch the Barbie movie holy shit! (I understand the story takes place in 2011 and the movie doesn't exist there)

Just like, fuck get off Taylor's back. She is playing it too safe but also being too aggressive. Moving too fast but also not being aggressive enough! AHHHHHHHH!

Seriously, nearly every time Brian showed up in this arc I was yelling at him. Dude. Just back off.

Skitter fucking just, killing thousands of rats in a few minutes is absolutely terrifying. God I love her.

Hookwolf is a dick. I can't believe everyone else went along with him and gave the Travelers and the Undersiders shitty choices like that. I mean that's not true, I can believe it I'm just mad.

I legit forgot Imp existed until Tattletale mentioned leaving her at the meeting as a spy. I love how the way her power works combined with the writing style means she just disappears for the readers as well.

Loved seeing more of the Travelers and more Noelle. Excited to learn more about her (I don't have great feelings about her long term situation though).

Jack is such a fucking POSER oh my god!

He just. He thinks he's so cool. But he's not. Fucking "this is not an exit" reference and shit.

He is Tobey Maguire Spider-Man from Spider-Man 3. Just thinks he is the coolest shit. Everyone just has to accept it cause he got fancy knife powers.

Tattletale just fucking full confidence fucking with the Nine while standing right in front of them. She clearly knew it was high risk but she took it and she got results, spoiling Jacks plan with Cheri and shit.

That said, AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! MY BABY SOMEBODY HELP MY BABY! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! (Ok she's not like, my baby, that's Taylor. But she's still my baby.)

LOOK AT MY FUCKING DAUGHTER! FUCKING LOOK AT HER! HOW MANY PEOPLE DID SHE SAVE FROM SHATTERBIRD? HUNDREDS? THOUSANDS? SHE IS AMAZING!

She fucking needs therapy though. Saves more people than anyone else could have and is mad because she didn't do enough. God damn Taylor love yourself!

Danny is fine. Besides, he had warning so any injures are basically his fault. Git gud Danny. (Ok look that's a little unfair, but he messed up pretty bad with raising my daughter so I'm allowed to be a little unfair to him I think.)

And look at my daughter again! She goes and organizes people to help the wounded. Takes charge. Gets a cool butch lady that might never show up again to help. I hope she does show up again though.

AND THEN FUCKING MANNEQUIN! AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

After he showed up I said "I don't know how the fuck she's gonna do it, but my daughter is gonna kick your ass". And then like a few paragraphs later I read "I have no idea how the fuck I’m going to do it but I’m going to make you regret that." This made me both happy - fun to say something and have Taylor say almost the same thing - and worried - cause when I said I didn't know how she was going to do it I kinda hoped she had a plan.

But then she fucking does it! She kicks his ass. She steals his arm. SHE RIPS HIS HEAD OFF! GOD DAMN! THAT'S MY FUCKING KID!

I do think she should hire the buff burly guy who helped her rip Mannequin's head off. He clearly has motivation and would be loyal. And maybe I want to see him more. For reasons.

But anyway she fucking wrecks Mannequin, makes him look like he lost a fight with a paint store. Just fucking clowned on him. She is so good.

Then the next day Brian comes in and fully focuses on how stupid it was to fight Mannequin, not really praising that she won or asking if she needs medical help. God damn bud!

But I loved how a fuck ton of people were like "Oh shit she beat Mannequin! I want to work for her." She's going to be so fucking famous soon.

Interlude 1 - Jack is a poser again. Sucks to be the Merchants, can't say I'll miss them. Jack trying to sound all clever with his carrot and sticks thing, but most of what he lists for the other Nine is really obvious. And he misses some stuff as well. Poser. I could lead the Nine better than him (not that I would lead the Nine, just that if I did I would be better than Jack).

Interlude 2 - God damn this is a doozy. Shit ton of Cauldron lore. Battery backstory. Assault backstory. I made a "now kith" joke when they fought for the very first time cause I didn't realize who they were yet. It was supposed to be a joke. I did not want them to end up together. They should not be together. Legend should not have allowed Assault to be on Battery's team. He was a bit of a dick for that. So much Cauldron lore though. I can't put it all here.

pov: I have just experienced something that changed my life forever (I just watched Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio)

#everyone needs to go watch this movie and I cannot stress that enough #it is so so so good and it is so easily the best adaptation of the story #Disney wishes they could’ve made it this good #easily one of the best films I have ever seen EVER and it ranks very highly on my list of favorites #and that’s not even mentioning the animation and music #as well as the voice acting!!! it’s truly a work of art and I promise I’m not exaggerating #genuinely made me cry quite a bit #I feel like if you loved The Little Prince you will also love this #it should also be noted that it’s much more faithful to the original story than other adaptations have been!#and it has a different setting that works excellently #guillermo del toro’s pinocchio #pinocchio

Observing peoples reactions to morally gray or black actions committed by different characters is so funny. Throughout all of G. War the character tags were chock-full of people unironically enraged claiming “Bruce isn’t even capable of doing something bad like that.” about an action that is pretty well in line with his character journey thus far, meanwhile there are still new posts that gain traction that open with lines like “I know Jason has committed his fair share of sins/crimes but” like bro when. In 2010?

Also. The whole premise of the b*tfamily™ that you so love is built on the load bearing wall being that they are a crime family. Hell, do people just collectively forget the part where Bruce manufactures and freely uses weapons with his own furry brand logo plastered all over them, causing all sorts of 'explosions and more!' property damage all over the streets of Gotham? Pretty sure that makes him a terrorist but you people don't feel the need to go around reminding fandom of that every five minutes.

Evan Afton is genuinely SO Norman Babcock. like his whole family doesnt understand him and in fact dislike him and actively tell him so and act callous around him (save for Norman's mom)? his family treats him like hes different or weird and excludes him? hes bullied at school and is small for his age? he keeps to himself and has unique interests that everybody ridicules? he actively tries to stay out of peoples way because hes seen as a burden? he spouts on about 'fake' visions he has and people think hes crazy for it (Evan with the nightmares, Norman with the ghosts and prophecies)? he gets dragged into some decades long tragedy and has to deal with it? they share the same role, but Evan is the beginning while Norman is the end? come on man

im generally not a fan of the idea of any of the early 2000s sonic games being remastered because i think those games not having the most updated looking graphics or the best voice acting ever is part of the charm i dont want them to be changed to look and sound exactly like every other sonic game thats come out in the past 14 years

#leave sonic heroes ALONEEEE #also when it comes to character voices i tend to prefer the voices from either back then or from the 4kids cast #we do not need those older games with perfectly good voice casts being downgraded like that come on #(no hate to the current cast though theyre just doing their jobs and i do like a lot of the voices. most just arent my favorite)#though when they remastered colors they didnt re record the voice acting #and when they made an animated short to go along with it they brought back tails' va from back then #so maybe they would try to avoid recasting everybody #some recasts would be unavoidable though if they tried to record any new stuff for it #because for colors only 1 voice actor was different from the current cast but for heroes its 13 different characters #and also eggmans va from back then died unfortunately. and tails and charmy were voiced by actual kids who are much older now #but its mostly just a few specific performances that i dont want recorded over by newer voices i like a lot less #i dont know why they have to remaster the 3d games in order to re release them anyway ..#why cant you just make a port with minimal changes #again this is assuming that the sonic heroes remaster rumors are even true . which im assuming theyre not im just talking hypothetically

holy shit that was. the perfect first date episode

kurosawa getting so in his head that he plans a Theoretically Perfect Date but neglects to consider if that would be a perfect for Him-and-Adachi date, then realizing!! that he screwed it up

extremely chef's kiss to me. he doesn't blame adachi for not having fun, he's not bummed they didn't get to fully enjoy all the things he planned. he's only upset with himself for ruining their first date, which importantly was adachi's First Date Ever (and that probably made kurosawa feel even More pressure to make it absolutely perfect and unforgettable)

at the same time it's not as though adachi is a Perfect Baby Creature who made zero missteps, he still has his own nerves that kept him from clearly stating he didn't want to go on the helicopter ride

i think the combination of these things—kurosawa being so anxious about doing well that he goes way overboard, adachi still needing to work more on speaking his mind and being more assertive—is what makes this episode shine, it's the perfect date in that it shows they're both imperfect people who have room to learn and grow, both as individuals and as a couple

the make-up animate date was just absurdly good too, adachi not only telling kurosawa what would have been better, but showing him

anyway. chewing on this ep. good stuff. great stuff
