how do you think the 141 guys would answer your ft calls?

answering your ft calls
Tumblr media
Word count: 0.7k
masterlist || have a request/ask? Here are the rules <3
Ghost
Probably won’t answer (hates fting (just like me))
If you’re pushy enough and keep calling him he just might answer because he would start getting paranoid it’s something urgent
Would tell you to fuck off if you just wanted to bother him (nothing personal, it would be sarcastic)
Will stay in the call though and it would probably end up being like 3 hours long
As time would pass perhaps he would start answering more often
He isn’t a fan of calling or texting or any of that stuff to be completely honest
But he just might do it for you
🖤
Soap
Is probably always asleep when you call him in his free time
Always answers anyway
It’s hard to get off the call though, blud just keeps talking
Will definitely bring his phone to the toilet and take a piss while still talking to you (you’d have to remind him to wash his hands every time)
Will always tell you to turn on the lights if you’re in the dark so he can see your pretty face
His fav thing to do is watch you show him what new stuff you bought
If you wear makeup, he would love seeing you do it
As your partner he would definitely be into freaky facetiming
Loves texting and calling in general, he’s a spammer when it comes to that
🖤
Gaz
Answers most of the time
Even when he doesn’t he apologizes over text messages and calls you back
Mostly outside when you call him so expect a journey through the city and subway with him
Loves staying with you on ft till late hours, just blabbering about anything
Would send kisses over the camera
Would watch movies and series with you while facetiming
You’d probably always be the first one to fall asleep because he would stay up on purpose to take screenshots and send them to you
Has a whole album of you being asleep on ft named “<3” (I promise it’s not creepy it’s just cute)
Though when he’d fall asleep first he would love you to do the same, he finds it wholesome
🖤
Price
Old bloke not a fan of ft
He isn’t that much of a boomer but definitely not a fan of some newer generation stuff
He would know how to answer but it would still look a little goofy because he’d always answer with “Can ya hear me/see me, luv?” or “How copy, luv?”
He’d ask you why you’re doing this because he doesn’t understand the point of face timing, he prefers regular calls
Though sometimes he would love to sit back and relax and just enjoy your blabbering and admire your beauty
Would always complain how he prefers seeing you in person because the front camera makes people look weird
🖤
Alejandro
Would always be happy when you call him
Is probably always cooking when you call him and, even when he isn’t, he would answer and go to the kitchen
Loves showing you new recipes he found and loves describing every ingredient
Probably one of his fav things to do with you when you’re physically distant - cooking facetime!
Loves dancing and singing while cooking so expect a ft concert too (you can never be bored with him)
Loves long fts so expect him to not let you hang up because he always finds an interesting subject to talk about
In the end he would always tell you how much he misses you being next to him
🖤
Rudy
Answers immediately. One ring and he’s there
The moment you call him he would leave everything and get in bed and ft with you forever if possible
Would also watch movies and series with you while facetiming
He knows how to play an acoustic guitar so one of his favorite things to do is play it and sing for you
It would mostly be some of his favorite slow and romantic Mexican songs
He likes to do this in the evening because it feels like he’s singing you a lullaby
So if you’d fall asleep to his singing, his heart would be full
He’d always whisper goodnight before hanging up
Tumblr media
Divider owners already tagged in my previous posts, I don’t want to spam them 🖤

Marshall revealing his new song to Y/N
Pairing: Eminem x Fem¡Reader
Warnings: 🔞 MATURE READ AT YOUR OWN RISK
Recommended song: Remind Me - Eminem, In Too Deep - Eminem
Author's note: Hey, guys! I was so bored and I wrote this. I may delete it later or idk. Hope you all enjoy it. I love you guys so much! Sending all of you a warm hug🫂🤍
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■♡■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
"I have a surprise for you" Marshall said to me as he enter the living room. Inmediatly I turn off the tv and give all my attention to him. "Guess what" he said.
"What?"
"The song is complete!"
"Whoa baby!"
Here's the thing. He told me he was writting a song about us, but that's it. He didn't talk about ever again. Even if I asked him about it he had changed the topic. So, I was very nervous about it. Because this has happened before. It was with the Revival album. That one song called Remind Me. That one was for me. I still remember when he show me that song.
" did you...That's my fav rock&roll song!" I said when I heared the beat.
"Yeah, that's the song you kept singin' and singin' while you're cooking" he said wanted to laugh at me.
I loved that song. Perfect combination but it was crazy. I mean...he did that for me? He united rock&roll and rap that was so crazy.
"Damn, that's crazy babe" I said.
"See y/n, u make me do things I normally wouldn't do"
"Awww, I love it and I love you baby!"
So, this time I was really nervous because I've been singin' a lot and very different genres. And Marshall...Well, he is so crazy. I didn't know what to expect.
"Are we going to the studio?" I asked him ready to go change if needed.
"No, let's just get in the car". So, we got inside his car. "Are u okay?" suddenly he asked me.
"Yeah, I'm good! I need to hear your song!"
I got too excited and I get very excited when I'm nervous I don't know why, but It's like I got a lot of energy all of the sudden. Anyways, so he says:
"Okay, okay but you need to know that I just got the final mix and I haven't heard it. I mean I know the entire song but I didn't hear the final mix yet" he explained.
"Omg..."
"What?"
"Wait, let me just make myself comfortable" I said while adjustin' my seat a little bit.
At this point he doesn't even hide that he's laughing at me.
"Ready?"
"Yeah, ready"
"Wait, look at me" he ordered and I obey. "I love you"
"Okay, now play the song!"
"Yo, say it back!" he replied.
"I love you, babe!"
And so the music started and he is lip singin': "This could never work, " is what we said at first. But whatever this is, it's working. But we're in two different worlds and (yeah) I'm not your husband (nah), you ain't my girlfriend. All I know is that (what?) When I'm with you, I'm a different person, yeah. And I ain't never met a chick as perfect. Girl, you're a ten, so here I am (yeah)
I literely screamed and Marshall had to stop the music.
"No, keep it goin'!" I argue.
He laughed and let the music continue: ...Can't tell if I'm cheating on her with you or cheating on you with her. But really, nobody's at fault, can't help who you love. Hope they don't ever hear us talk
'Cause we both are getting sloppy. Probably subconsciously part of me's hoping we get caught 'cause I'm not happy here (nah)
With her. Rather have you (yeah) Rather have me too. 'Cause you're not happy there (you're not happy there) With him. Rather have me (I know, but) We just in too deep (I'm in way too deep)
Marshall started singin' it out loud and I was vibin' with it the whole time. It was a good damn song. Honestly, I loved it. It truly was about us, about the start of our relationship, but there were a few things that weren't true like me havin' a wedding ring. It should say: I got a wedding ring. So it's her instead of you.
"That's it. What do u think?" he said not being able to stop smilin'
"Please, play the song one more time"
And he started to laugh again.
"Marshall!"
"Are for real? Did you loved it?" he was surprised.
"Yes, I love it!"
"Y/n..." he laughs again.
"Marshall! You're being so freakin' annoying. Play the song one more time!"
"Yo, you are just sayin that. You didn't loved it!"
"What? I do love it! Marshall!"
"Okay, okay"
He played the song again.
"I'm gonna cry" I said.
"Yo, you're hillarious!"
"That song is good as hell!"

✩ lo’ak sully x fem!omaticaya!reader
𝐒𝐘𝐍𝐎𝐏𝐒𝐈𝐒- no words were ever needed between lo'ak and you. just you were enough for each other.
𝐂𝐖- english is not my first language, not proofread, nothing really, it's so so so sweet:(
𝐀/𝐍- probably one of my fav songs on the album. | okay so. i'm trying to finish the series before summer. so expect a lot of content. xxx
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you paced anxiously around the pod. how long could they take?
the party that the olo’eyktan had taken to one of the raids included today both of his children, one of which happened to be the boy you adored.
anticipation drew you away from whatever task you had going on. you had tons of chores to get done, loads of people to catch u with, lots of gifts to deliver, and your mind was constantly reminding you, trying to, indirectly, tell you to wait. but you couldn't wait to see him.
so, as soon as you distinguished the war party arriving you ran like mad. just in time to watch the harsh expression of the olo'eyktan telling his kids off. and one specific hurt gaze. lo'ak's.
you immediatly wanted to catch up, clean him up and talk to him, but he was suddenly out of sight.
frantically looking for him, you crossed paths with neytiri, who silently nodded, pointing in the direction he had left. your eyes sent her equally silent gratefulness, before heading to where she had indicated.
Tumblr media
“lo’ak?” you called softly.
you had barely seen him since he had arrived, and the resentment expression on his face had left you worried.
you heard a muffled “come in”, which you would’ve done anyway.
lo’ak’s face was a mess of paint, tears, sweat and scratches. you approached him and sat down next to him. no more words were needed. he laid his head on your shoulder as you intertwinned your fingers with his.
after a few moments, you turned to face him and pulled him into a hug. your hands around his neck, tracing patterns in his scalp; his own hands were around your torso, gaze buried in the crook of your neck.
"wanna talk about it?" you whispered once you pulled away.
he shook his head, eyes refusing to meet yours. you mumbled the softest "okay" and cupped his face to give his lips a tender kiss.
yet soon drops of warm liquid stained your hands.
"shit" lo'ak muttered, hand immediatly trying to stop the scratch from bleeding any further. but you stopped his hands, motioning for him to stand up and follow you instead.
"please allow me" you joked, though the gentle expression never abandoned your features.
you guided him to the container of aiding supplies. you grabbed a leaf and dropped the remedy in it. carefully, you grazed it upon lo'ak's wound, making him lightly hiss. your other hand went to hold his again.
"i've been waiting to meet you. all day long. glad you're finally here" you hummed.
you then procceeded to place a lotion alongside the scratch, doing so ever so gracefully and tenderly. once you finished, you pressed a quick kiss to his forehead before turning away to clean everything up.
but lo'ak pulled at the hand that still held yours, making you turn to him again.
"you're divine. did anybody ever tell you that?" he murmured.
a smile graced upon your face. your grip on his hand tightened slightly.
you brought his body closer to yours, so close he could smell the rose scent of your skin.
"c'mon, let's get the paint off" you suggested.
but, though he tried to mask it, you didn't miss the way his eyes fell to the floor.
"hey" you said "lo'ak i don't know what happened back there. and i don't need to, not for the point i'm trying to make. it's his loss. okay? and it is definetely not your fault" you finished your words with the most truthful smile.
he tried to reciprocate the smile, but his eyes avoided yours again, shifting his gaze to the side.
"don't be afraid of me; you can trust me. don't be ashamed about whatever he told you. okay?" he nodded, but his eyes still hadn't met yours.
your hands gently lifted his jaw so that his face was directed at yours now, but his gaze was still settled somewhere else.
"lo'ak" you called, trying to get his attention.
it seemed to work, for his eyes finally found his way to yours. eyes that carried hurt. and eywa knows how much you wished you could just take it away from him.
" 'm okay, it's fine-" he tried to mumble.
but you knew it wasn't, so, before he could finish his excuse, you held him again, arms around his torso, bringing him impossibly closer, as his arms embraced you, appreciating the comfort.
you could've sworn this was enough, wanting for life to just eternally loop around this instant.

it took me some time to collect my thoughts about the vault tracks but i think i'm finally ready to speak. so first of all, yes, they are so phenomenal they left me speechless. let's fucking go.
"SLUT!"
totally unexpected and yet much better than i thought it would be. the production is so dreamy, the lyrics is somehow really sad but also, may i say, poetic? excuse me but all the flamingo pink, sunrise boulevard, aquamarine moonlit swimming pool, tangerine neon light??? what the actual fuck? my imagination is going wild right now. i may even write a story based on it because all of this is so inspiring, that's what this song is doing to my fucked up brain. honestly, i didn't expect it to be one of my favourites, because it was so hyped before it even came out and yet here we are. i think it's my second fav from this vault.
lyrics that felt like a slap in the face: i'll pay the price, you won't.
SAY DON'T GO
i knew it was gonna be a sad one and it was mostly based on the length of this track. and i do love long tracks. i don't have much to say about it, the lyrics is really good and it's so vulnerable it actually broke my heart a little. i did not expect this vault to be so sad. also, may i just say the production is absolutely perfect? jack antonoff, you are my hero. i'm yours but you're not mine, you don't get it but i do.
lyrics that felt like a slap in the face: i said "i love you", you say nothing back.
NOW THAT WE DON'T TALK
ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. this is definitely my favourite vault track and the only thing i don't like about this song is the length (WHY TAYLOR???). amazing production, outstanding vocals (especially in the chorus), the lyrics is insane, excuse me, i love the i call my mom part, you grew your hair long made me go absolutely feral for the reason i can't even explain, and oh my god, the outro??? the outro is everything. the yacht part? maybe i fucking died??? i guess what i'm trying to say is that this song is everything to me now. it also made me want to study question...? once again.
lyrics that felt like a slap in the face: and the only way back to my dignity was to turn into a shrouded mystery.
SUBURBAN LEGENDS
so i claimed this song before it even came out and i want to unclaim it now (just kidding). it's not my favourite tho, but i do like it. it grew on me i guess. i still love the title and once again, the outro is pretty much the best part of the song and it's the most catchy for sure. the tick-tock part, i absolutely love it. you don't knock anymore and my whole life's ruined? holy fuck taylor, i feel you. the production reminds me of bejeweled, why.
lyrics that felt like a slap in the face: and you kissed me in a way that's gonna screw me up forever.
IS IT OVER NOW?
first of all, the seagull is seagulling (thank you @anixknowsnothin, hours passed and i still can't stop laughing). but i do love the production on this one and i actually think the seagull was unexpected but also a very good idea! once again, everybody say thank you jack. the lyrics, on the other hand, is absolutely insane. i love the coffee part, to no one's surprise, cause i'm a slut for coffee (pun intended). the chorus is amazing, the bridge is everything, i want to scream and die. your new girl is my clone, if you even care. we do love sad bops! also, what a fantastic way to end the album! 10/10! thank you goodnight!
lyrics that felt like a slap in the face: if she's got blue eyes i will surmise that you'll probably date her.

when you get this you have to answer with 5 of ur fav songs and then tag your mutuals to do the same :) (no pressure <;3)
Ok, so I was tagged by the whole squad - thank you for thinking of me @colourme-feral @lurkingshan @my-rose-tinted-glasses @imlivingformyselfdontmindme @blmpff ♥️
In @blmpff post, the game was called fav songs at the moment so I'm gonna treat it as such. However, I would love to show you my music origin story with all-time favourites one day ;)
Anyway, here we go! Be prepared for a commentary because I couldn't help myself.
#1 Key - Killer
youtube
No one does synthpop in kpop like him. I don't know why I came across this song only a couple of weeks ago but it made me revisit one of my favourite genres. I even made a playlist about it.
#2 Indochine - La sécheresse du Mékong
youtube
This song ended up on the playlist above because @littleragondin mentioned the band in one of the previous games and I went a tiny bit crazy about their early catalogue. How could I miss them during my very intense 80s synthpop phase? Well, they're French so I probably didn't look in that direction. Better late than never!
#3 Cup of Joe - Tataya
youtube
It's one of my favourite 2023 songs and I still cannot pinpoint why. It reminds me a bit of the mid-2010s melodic indie-rock era (Kensington maybe?). There is definitely a nostalgic component there that draws me in. I prefer the album version because of the harmonies included in the mix but the live version above showcases the boys' stage charisma that's incredibly pleasant to look at.
#4 LAZ1 - What's the Matter?
youtube
Oh, if it isn't a perfect little pop song. Not only is it incredibly catchy but I enjoy it also for the production value. The boys sound great, that second verse (or is it a bridge of sorts?) with the very alluring saxophone is doing things to me, and all the phone alerts are nicely incorporated into the overall sound.
#5 Daou Pittaya - 丢了你
youtube
Ok, this is gonna be me simping for a whole paragraph. I have heard Daou sing before, Would You Mind? crossed my dash at some point but I didn't have enough time to focus on it properly. When What's the Matter lodged itself in my brain I was intrigued because his parts were definitely my favourites. And then I listened to the episode of Piano & I Live and I was GONE gone. Like, full-blown in love mode. His version of Jing Long's song has much more colour than the original. He has such a pleasantly scratchy voice that when it breaks during some phrases it's so so delicious. The vibrato? That little growl at 2:32? Kill me, please. The piano arrangement is also fantastic and it elevates the quality of the entire performance to another level. I had to resort to installing YouTube Music just to put this song on repeat, that's how much it got to me. And it's a ballad for god's sake. I don't do ballads usually.
---
Tagging @littleragondin, @sollucets, @clairedaring, @ranchthoughts, @maxescheibechlinichacheli, no pressure whatsoever.

stray kids rockstar review!!!!
1. blind spot - okay yk pls this is in the best possible nostalgic way but it sounds like it's part of the lego movie soundtrack go listen if you don't believe me ABD THATS A GOOD THING!!!! this song just SWALLOWED ME ALIVE oh my gosh it reminds me of retro jpop and also 2000s teen movies and maybe that's why i was like obsessed? the vocals and the CHORUS oh my gosh it just was everything i wanted and yes this was the one i pressed on first when the album came out bc i have been WAITING FOR HER
2. lalalala - NEED I SAY MORE??? this was everything and more for a title track oh my gosh. i was a bit skeptical when they announced the name bc it sounded like it might be a bit too repetitive but NOPE OH MY GOSH IT ATE THIS WAS INCREDIBLE also felix finally being able to swear made my aussie heart proud 🥹🥹 the choreography too though oh my and i LOVED that the chorus was done by the people who don't often do the chorus?? does that make sense?? also it's a longer song which is a win bc why is every title track under 3mins now like wtf
3. comflex - IM LITERALLY CRYING DID JYP PERMIT THEM TO RELEASE UNCENSORED SONGS 😭😭😭😭 i love me a rap song with some insane vocals though hgdafg it's giving very 5 star but also i see why it fits in this album and im here for it
4. megaverse - look this is TITLE TRACK MATERIAL it's like the banger b side that could've been a whole comeback of its own (im looking at you charmer, item, get lit and domino) the only thing i didn't like was their promotion style this time like y'all did NOT just spoil two of your songs before releasing the album like when i know songs in the album/songs repeat in the album it basically makes me think minus those songs so this album was really only 4 songs for me since every other song i already knew/is a variation of another anyway other than that it slaps but would've slapped harder if it was a first time listen
5. cover me - SEUNGMIN YOUR VOCALS AT THE END HAD ME GASPING FOR AIR SHSHUAHSHHSHA stunning and stunninger its a bit like stars and raindrops's emo older brother shhshs this fit skzflix SO WELL THOUGH
6. leave - same as megaverse if it was a first time listen it just wouldve hit that tiny bit harder but still in love with it!! it's the chill sad love song that every skz album needs fr the new brother of collision, chill and mixtape oh
7. social path - we already knew her but she still did well as always! i mean its hard to fuck up this song but it's not hard to fuck up my brain like girl i really went and understood it in japanese and now she's re released in a different language and im gonna be confused af whenever this version plays 😭 I WILL SAY THOUGH social path definitely fits this album better than the japanese one like it's a lot more rocky whilst social path + super bowl felt a bit like an awkward combination and then butterflies was fr just hanging in there 😭
8. lalalala rock ver - still good but i prefer the other one, it'll probably grow on me though!!! why is this giving when txt released an emocore version of 0x1=lovesong 😭😭

it’s that time of year again… 🎄🎅🎉🎊 no. the highlights of your 2023 media consumption of course! just like last year, i want to know your top 5 films, books, tv shows, songs/albums, pop culture moments if that’s your thing, and as a bonus: any favourite personal moment/achievement in the last year? new to you, new in release, either works! can’t wait to see your response and wishing you a happy new year! 😁🩷
oh man I'm late but YAYYYYYY I luv these round ups + appreciate U so much for asking each year! HAPPY NEW YEAR!! 🫂🎆
films: sooooo many good first watches in 2023, surprisingly a lot in the first couple months which I think set a precedent for a year of fruitful viewings 🔮 I made a top 25 list so shoutout to the other 20 that I painstakingly sifted from 300+ watches but ok my top 5 were:
Rapture (1979) dir. Iván Zulueta
Tampopo (1985) dir. Jūzō Itami
The Last of Sheila (1973) dir. Herbert Ross
Mirch Masala (1987) dir. Ketan Mehtal
Pickpocket (1959) dir. Robert Bresson
I also finished Pedro Almodóvar's filmography (except for the latest short) which was really satisfying so I feel like that also deserves a shoutout + I hope to complete other fav directors' filmographies this year too!
books: Dogeaters by Jessica Hagedorn, Near to the Wild Heart by Clarice Lispector, The Essential Dykes to Watch Out For by Alison Bechdel, The Carnivorous Lamb by Agustín Gómez Arcos, The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison -- ALL FICTION, CAN YOU BELIEVE!! I really loved a lot of the nonfiction I read last year too but these stories stuck with me the most/lingered on my mind the longest
music: I'm bad at keeping up with new music so I don't really have new releases to gush about like if I had to think of strictly 2023 releases I probably enjoyed Mitski + Kelela's albums the most but if I'm so real I didn't really come back to either of them often -- the artists I did consistently return to throughout the year were Danza Invisible, Chanel Beads, Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions, Pixies, and like all 3 of Kathleen Hanna's bands 🧘‍♀️
tv shows: I'm even worse at tv we know this but I got my sister hooked on early Survivor seasons so that's a win in my book 🙏 the last few months of the year I watched a lot of Boy Meets World + Portlandia randomly, probably bc I got sick for the first time in years n just wanted some easy watching that I knew I'd like.. OH and The State!! overall, yet another great year of watching irrelevant television that hasn't been on air for years 🙌
2023 was a really good year of reconnecting with friends + family for me!! I saw people I hadn't seen or spoken to in yearssssss just because of life and distance and whatnot but I've been more willing to go out of my way to make things happen/make my desire to reconnect #known and it's been really fruitful + reminds me of being in college doing the most just to go to a concert or meet up with some friends for the weekend IDK like the "inconvenience" of the process making the result that much sweeter or whateva :-) this one's silly and random but I cancelled my spotify premium subscription a few days ago (missed the billing cycle by a day so technically I'm still a premium user til the end of this month smh) which I've been meaning to do for a while but Finally I did it and I feel like this

I don't listen to much of her songs, I do really like Venus Fly Trap by her, it was so creative and unique.
I'd like any recommendations if you got some!
I’ll go album by album & say the must listens, and the extra credit (according to my own opinion! extra credit probably means it’s either my personal fav/or not as commercially successful):
The Family Jewels (her debut):
Must listen: Are You Satisfied?, I Am Not A Robot, Mowgli’s Road (the first song I ever heard by her), Obsessions, Hollywood, Hermit the Frog, Oh No!
Extra credit: Guilty, Numb, Rootless, The Outsider, Shampain, The Family Jewels (title track that wasn’t released with the album but can be found on youtube/most streaming platforms), acoustic versions of all songs found on youtube - (Girls is my least fav personally)
Electra Heart (a concept album so there’s a TON there - I recommend first listening by watching the respective music videos for each one!! out of all the eras I feel the EH music videos are the most important visually to see for the concept of the album):
Must listen: really the whole album, but… Bubblegum Bitch, Primadonna, Homewrecker, How to Be a Heartbreaker, Teen Idle, Buy The Stars (best slow one)
Extra credit: Fear and Loathing (6 minute album version), Radioactive, Valley of the Dolls, Sex Yeah, Power & Control, The State of Dreaming, Starring Role, Lies, Lonely Hearts Club, Electra Heart (title track released toward the end of the era), all the acoustic versions from this era on youtube, Su-Barbie-A and The Archetypes (2 music videos/snippets on youtube), - (Hypocrates is my least fav on the album but still good)
Froot (full of bops):
Must listen: Froot, Happy, Blue, Solitaire, Savages, Immortal
Extra credit: the rest of the album so- I’m a Ruin, Forget, Gold, Can’t Pin Me Down (my fav), Better Than That - Weeds is my personal least favorite on the album
Love + Fear (love it but my least fav album)
Must listen: Handmade Heaven, Orange Trees, True, To Be Human, End of the Earth, Karma, Emotional Machine, No More Suckers, Soft to be Strong, Believe in Love
Extra credit: The rest of the album is so much weaker in comparison in my opinion. I still listen to the songs if I’m in the mood for it (Enjoy Your Life, Life is Strange, You, Too Afraid) but there are a couple songs I seriously dislike and always skip (Baby, Superstar - sorry to the stans of those songs, don’t hate me) also there are a ton of way better unreleased ones from this era on youtube, tbh
Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land (her most recent as of right now, and such a good one)
Must listen: Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land, Venus Fly Trap (you mentioned you know it, and this is probably my personal favorite!), Man’s World, Purge the Poison (my other fav), Highly Emotional People, New America
Extra credit (they are all just as good but these ones make me a lil sad bc they remind me of a bad time in my life ngl lol): Pandora’s Box, I love you but I love me more, Flowers, Goodbye, and then there’s the bonus tracks that were released later = Happy Loner, Pink Convertible, Free Woman
Andddd she probably has another album coming soon 💓
Let me know if any of you agree/disagree with my takes 🤭

Anti-jikookers, don't worry Jikook is doing well.
I’ve seen a lot of my fav jikook bloggers being bombarded by antis, insecure jikookers, haters, whatever you want to call them…asking about or trying to claim that JM and JK must not be on good terms or broken up because of things JK has said about JM’s songs or his schedule.
Here’s some thoughts on that, feel free to read on or don’t. Cause who am I to talk about this?
No really…who am I? 🤷‍♀️
Tumblr media
Credit: Video Clip Here
I’m Park Jimin! That’s who! 🤣 Sorry couldn’t help myself.
Moving on...👀
Since I am new to the community, for the record: I do believe Jikook is in a long-term committed relationship.
One of the many reasons why I love watching Jikook interactions is that they remind me so much of me and my husband. I have been with him for 16 years. 3 of which, we have been married. Jikook is so unbelievably domestic, especially in the last few years IMO.
Do you think they live together? You may be wondering.
My hot take: I think they live together as often as they can, given their occupations and being a closeted couple. They probably have a few properties that they use.
Now, on to the trolls that want to use JK’s words as proof that Jikook are broken up, not close, blah blah blah.
There is no doubt that JM and JK mean a lot to each other. There is plenty of evidence of them paying a lot of attention to each other and knowing a lot about each other such as their likes, dislikes, and being able to read each other like a damn book.
Listen, I can do the same thing with my husband and he can with me. Especially since he and I also started dating very young at 18 yrs old. We have grown up and changed over the many years we have been together. These are the big overarching important things.
When it comes to daily details over a few busy days, weeks, or months. There's no way I would expect my husband to remember every single detail I chatted to him about my job, a project I am working on, or what I did 2 days ago.
Look, selective hearing is a thing and it is prevalent in long-term relationships. Ask anyone who’s been in a relationship for over 5 years. I can tell my husband before bed “I’m going in late to work tomorrow” and he will ask me in the morning “Aren’t you going to be late for work?” 🤨
Yup, look forward to long-term committed and/or married-life. 😂
I’d also like to remind anyone who forgot about this:

***For those of you with no humor or who can't tell by the tone and smirk of JK, he is definitely teasing JM.
We now know that JK obviously knew about the most romantic song of all time, which was a love letter to him on Jimin's album. (I said it. Mad? Stay mad.)
As for the other songs on the album, Jimin probably didn’t explain too many details about each and every song. Jimin seems to get very shy when he is creating music. I can relate because I hate sharing my unfinished art and creative endeavors with anyone let alone my husband who is my best friend. The creative process can sometimes be very delicate depending on your personality and we know Jimin is very hard on himself and has a lot of self-doubts. Again, I can relate.
Lastly, when you are suddenly very busy and have little or no time to spend with your partner one of the LAST things you wanna do when you are with them is talk about work. Ugh.
Jimin and Jungkook are musicians and that is their job. They are part of the few who have been able to build their career from their passion which they love, but it is still considered work.
I’m sure when they have quality time together, they want it to be about enjoying each other's company. Not about work 24/7. Especially since evidence has shown they are the type of couple that enjoys spending a lot of time together.
Uhhh....this has gotten pretty long and I’m probably writing to a wall so….끝!

My Thoughts on Xikers debut!
Tumblr media
(gif retrieved from @hunternity )
So Xikers recently debuted with the album House of Tricky: Doorbell Ringing and I wanted to share my thoughts! I’ve been keeping an eye on them as KQ has released more content to build hype and I think they were very easy for me to get interested in compared to many other groups. And their album did not disappoint!
I won’t go into my specific thoughts on every song but I think the entire album as a whole is very well done. Its cohesive and high energy in a way that doesn’t feel annoying or dull, due to the great musicality from the production team (Hongjoong, Edenary crew, ily). If I had to describe the concept, it’s a sort of trickster concept with a modern, youthful kind of twist. They play around a little bit with varying genres while keeping a distinct Kpop sound as the through-line. I enjoyed it very much and I’ve been listening to it often since release!
(I hear they also have lore. I’m not gonna dive into that until like. Next comeback. It looks complicated and I don’t have enough material to judge yet lol)
When you look for negative opinions of them so far, the biggest thing I’ve seen is that people think they’re too much like Ateez, that KQ is just making them Ateez junior, etc. I can see why they feel like it sounds a bit similar, but at the same time, Ateez has a particular sound that I just… don’t really hear in these tracks? Idk how to describe it, like Ateez songs tend to have a more cinematic feeling most of the time I think? I could see a comparison between this album and maybe Fever part 2, but even then its a very vague similarity and I’ve always felt that particular album kind of stuck out of Ateez’s music. I think if Xikers were under JYP, everyone would compare them to Stray Kids in the same way, right? They just sound like a kpop boy group.
Also… yeah I’m sure KQ is trying to make a follow up to Ateez, one of their most profitable business moves to date (come on, KQ fellaz and then KQ fellaz 2? It’s pretty clear). But the members of Xikers are distinct individuals, and their personalities will naturally influence the direction of their music and performances. They will eventually move out from the shadows of senior performers. Hopefully they can bring something very new or innovative to their second comeback, make a wave like hala hala did but in a whole new way.
Anyway, to close on a positive note, here are some of my favorite things I’ve noticed from Xikers thus far!
Sumin! He’s probably my bias, along with Hunter? Hunter’s dance skills are CRAZY (and he did that one performance to all time hit Juggernaut by my fav Tyler the Creator so I’m. Biased.) Sumin kinda snuck up on me tho, for some reason he reminded me a bit of Changbin? But distinctly different, he has this particular kind of coolness yknow? I’m always rapper biased😔.
In Xikey, Minjae’s shout of “Xikers” rly gave me goosebumps! So powerful, he went all in and it paid off!
Edenary, HJ i am Kissing u deeply for Dynamic, that track fucks severely
Yechan… that kid has some crazy potential and I think everyone knows it. With him as well as the other members, I look forward to learning more about them as individuals and seeing those traits shine through in their music.

Gonna kick off my first ramble post talking about Pinkerton by Weezer! God, where to start? Okay first things first right? I love this album and I love every song on it. It's my favorite out of Weezer's discography out of the 5 albums I've heard from them so far. (Blue, Pinkerton, Green, Maladroit, Make Believe)
The guitars are fast and energetic and the drums are simple but sound heavy, like there's a lot force behind each hit. This all combines to result in an album that's energetic and emotional, but pretty depressing in its writing. I love the contrast between the album's sound and lyrics.
Tumblr media
(album cover rules btw)
Tired Of Sex - Tired of Sex is my favorite Weezer opening track and it really sets the tone for the rest of the album. I adore the energy of this song. The beginning of the song really sells the feeling of disillusionment that Cuomo was going for. Once it hits the second verse the energy explodes and it feels like that disillusionment had turned into frustration.
Getchoo - This song is high energy from the very first second. I can't hear the words "get you" without thinking about the chorus. It goes hard what else can I say. My favorite part of the song is the outro with the repeated "This is beginning to hurt"
No Other One - This song is about settling for a relationship you're unhappy with and it sure feels like it. It sounds so emotional and dramatic and the chorus does a hell of a job hammering that vibe home
Why Bother? - Why Bother is my favorite out of the Songs From the Black Hole bunch (The first four). For a song about the fear of rejection and vulnerability it's shockingly upbeat and energetic. I don't know why it works, but it works for me. It feels the most "emo" out of the first four despite (or maybe because of) its vibes.
Across The Sea - Third favorite song of the album here. When I first listened to the song I was honestly a little put off by how creepy Rivers' lyrics were, especially since I knew beforehand that this song and onward were based on his actual experiences. It grew on me though for two reasons. Firstly, the Pinkerton sound is peak Weezer. Secondly the song is very honest. To a fault honestly. It's about Rivers' obsession with an overseas fan. It's creepy and that's the point. Rivers recognized how creepy he was being and didn't shy away from it. I respect how open he was with this track. That and its sound is why its my third fav.
The Good Life - This is my favorite song off Pinkerton and it's probably like top 10 maybe even top 5 Weezer songs for me. This song is catchy as all hell but I loved it because of how much of a mood it was. That desire to get back to a point in life when you're having more fun and feeling good about yourself just resonated with me a lot. It kind of reminds me of Why Bother? For a song about missing your past and hating your present, it doesn't sound depressing. In fact the song's also pretty upbeat sounding. My favorite part is from 2:26 - 3:00. The energy explodes with the solo but very quickly drops into the break and it goes from sounding fiery and abrasive to almost mournful. All within 30ish seconds.
El Scorcho - El Scorcho feels like the Buddy Holly of Pinkerton. Its weird and dorky as Weezer tends to be and its shockingly catchy. Out of the whole album this took the longest to grow on me. The song is about Cuomo's loneliness and shyness when it comes to approaching girls, but the song doesn't feel like its taking itself seriously. More of that tonal-lyrical contrast from before. The band members sound like they're having so much fun with this track and it rubs off on me. It's weird, it's dorky, and its fun!
Pink Triangle - Pink Triangle is such a banger and it's my fourth favorite song of the album. It is also the funniest song with context. It's loosely based off Rivers' own experience of developing a crush on his classmate and getting heartbroken when he learned she was gay. Funniest thing though, SHE WASN'T EVEN A LESBIAN!! RIVERS CUOMO SAW HER WITH A PINK TRIANGLE SYMBOL AND JUST ASSUMED SHE WAS LMAO
Falling For You - This is my second favorite song of the album. It's a love song about falling in love with someone and finally biting the bullet and getting with them, overcoming the fears and insecurities that was holding back that leap of faith. It's cute (as crushes are), but it's also emotional and a little bit dramatic (as crushes are). Generally I'm not a fan of love songs but this track is so open and sensitive that I can't help but love it.
Butterfly - The final song, Butterfly, is my 5th favorite song off the album. It sounds the most different than anything that came before it. It's most emotional song of the album mostly thanks to its acoustic sound, only consisting of Rivers' acoustic guitar and simple and steady percussion. I find myself almost tearing up when I hear Butterfly, especially after the joyride of the previous tracks. There is no tonal-lyrical contrast. It's sincere, sentimental, and almost depressing, and it's the perfect way to end this album.
I was obsessed with this album for like two entire weeks straight once I heard because I couldn't get it out of my head. It ear-wormed its way into my top 10 favorite albums. Plus it was the perfect soundtrack to the headspace I was in when I first heard it. The themes of loneliness, infatuation, and insecurity really resonated with me and it quickly rose the album to one of my all time favorites.
God I wasn't expecting this rant to become an essay but I'm lowkey not surprised. Pinkerton is a phenomenal work of art and I'm so glad it eventually got its flowers.

top ten favourite songs at the moment?
(in no particular order)
This Side of Nowhere by Lydia Lunch- the whole album (13.13) has been the soundtrack to me drawing and stuff for a while
Jennifer Lopez (Fag Patrol version) by Xiu Xiu- I’ve always found this song different from the rest of the album, probably their most underrated track
Aftermath by Pray TV- a case of youtube recommending me a autogenerated video with a couple views and it being a absolute hidden gem
Long Time Man by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds- A southern gothic gem, yfmt is probably my fav bad seeds album. I always think about the part where the drums disappear during when he quotes the wife, brings out absolute emotions.
Shattered Dreams by Johnny Hates Jazz- one of the songs i rediscovered after forgetting about it for a while. The extended version is just Magnificent.
I Put A Spell On You by Nina Simone- I’ve been wanting to check out more of her music. Last time i listen to this, i was going to the bus in the rain.
Panic Moon (Live 1995) by Rowland S Howard- i’m a little mad that this never got a studio recording, but i’m pretty sure it was originally written for these immortal souls so i understand why.
Haus der lüge (epilog) by Einstürzende Neubauten- Reminds me gears in a machine and it makes me crazy every time it goes on (in a good way ofc)
Blood Roses by Tori Amos- probably my favourite song by her, I still remember listening to the album the song’s from (Boys for Pele) with my mother (it’s one of her favs)
Desire (both the studio and the Live in Berlin 1988 version) by Tuxedomoon- amazing mix of sax and synth, a sing to destroy and create to

🎶✨️when u get this u have to put 5 songs u actually listen to, publish. Then, send this ask to 10 of your favorite followers (non-negotiable, positivity is cool)🎶✨️
(hope i don't bother you with this ask ! have a great day/night/whatever)
oh i listen to so so soooo many songs . uhm. i guess i'll choose some of my current favorites? oh maybe a favorite song from each of my favorite bands! ...of which there are definitely more than 5. but top 5 favs i guess???? or current 5 favs??? i dont think i can call these necessarily my Top 5 favs bc i have so many bands & artists i like at different times for different reasons BUT IF I HAD TO CHOOSE... ok this is going by band order i guess for current fixation but:
Sorrow - IAMX. ive been obsessively into IAMX recently to the extreme. for months. and i love soooooooo so many songs of theirs. but this song? Sorrow? it's the one that did it for me. I Come With Knives was the initial one that kicked this off, but going to Sorrow is what made me like "man i DESPERATELY need to listen to more of their music". NOT my very first IAMX song, that title belongs to Volatile Times, which ive known for like some ten years :p but only recently listened to more of their music and i have NOT looked back. as a bonus Sorrow reminds me a lot of ITNL Vash. perhaps part of the fixation on it lol
Nothing Personal - Des Rocs. picking a favorite song from him was nearly impossible bc im obsessed obsessed obsessed with his music. legit last year on my spotify wrapped all of my top 5 songs were his. OBSESSED. 'A Real Good Person In A Real Bad Place' is still undisputedly one of my fav albums EVER & the reason for that top 5 songs thing. but Nothing Personal is the first Des Rocs song i ever heard & what made me go "Oh my God???" & it still makes me lose my total shit when i listen to it lksdjflskjdf. honorary mention to Why Why Why, which was the other one i considered for him. also love that shit sooo much.
I Never Told You What I Do for a Living - My Chemical Romance. just so you know picking a single favorite song for MCR was near impossible. so much of their music makes me absolutely insane in the best of ways & picking just ONE?????? impossible. but i chose this one bc it's one that makes me EXTRA lose my shit anytime i listen to it. like fucking Belting it out. this one's The One. i can't give you special mentions for MCR bc there are too many. too fucking many. god i still love MCR so much
Armageddon - Blue Stahli. fucking love Blue Stahli's stuff, it's SOOO fun to listen to, & Armageddon probably really is my fav of theirs. i end up just jumping along to this song so much. it's a jumping song !!! so much fun to listen to !!!! also really paints a picture of me that a fav song of mine is just "Armageddon, come come and get it! Armageddon, baby!" the whole The Devil album is soooooooooo much fun & also an album i had a Mood for. back in uhh oct 2021 i wanna say. around there. special mentions for Takedown, Kill Me Every Time, and Power Outrage (this last one especially, OH MAN this also makes me lose my shit in the best of ways)
Mr. Fear - SIAMES. in a dramatic tone change from the other choices, i really am quite fond of SIAMES's music. it's my chill music. & this song specifically is sooooooooo full of longing and wistfulness. it's the first one of theirs i listened to & it's so......... waaaaaaaaaaaaa.. special mention to Brothers, which i very nearly chose bc im obsessed with that song too, but Mr. Fear has had my heart in a chokehold since i first listened to it Years ago. had to answer that one.
uhm. there are 5! additional special mentions to Capricorn by Xan Griffin, Maniac by Stray Kids, and Lovesong by TXT, which are all individual songs i've had MASSIVE obsessions with in the past. the Repeat On End kinds of songs. im being a bad STAY by not including Stray Kids in the favorite bands list but i havent been listening to their music as much lately. feeling these top 5 much more rn

100 Albums // 2024
One of my resolutions for 2024 was to sit down and listen to more albums (mostly) uninterrupted from beginning to end. Here is where I'm compiling those albums + my thoughts on them as I go.
How I'm choosing the albums: most of these are "I randomly found one song off this album, I've been meaning to listen to more". But some are just iconic, genre-defining albums that I know I'm doing myself a disservice by not listening to yet. Some are also suggestions!
How I'm rating them: this is PERSONAL TASTE ONLYYYYYY. Some albums I acknowledge will be impossible to rate this way, but for the most part I am JUST rating based on MY taste. I'm trying to be open minded to any and all genre's but I'm aware my tastes lean indie.
If you see this (which you might because Im pinning it for ease of access), you should reply or send me a message with your favorite album. I just may give it a listen. I'm kind of grabbing albums as I think of them. If you don't wanna see this post, you can blacklist #100 albums. Thanks!
1. Self-Titled - Bon Iver (2011)
Tumblr media
Rating: 4/10
Fav Songs: Holocene, Towers, Wash
Notes: I like a handful of Bon Iver songs but I haven't really listened to his stuff much. I REALLY wanted this whole album to be like "Holocene" but overall it's pretty... Meh, save a few songs. However, the bits I did enjoy were experimental aspects that remind me of my favorite song of his, off another album, "33 God". I will listen to that album at some point, as well. I haven't given up on Bon Iver anyway.
2. Get to Heaven (Deluxe) - Everything Everything (2015)
Tumblr media
Rating: 8/10
Fav Songs: The Wheel (is turning now), Only As Good as my God, Blast Doors
Notes: I LOVED this album. A friend of mine put "Only As Good As My God" on a playlist for me a few years ago, I've been obsessed with it ever since, and most of the album is just as good if not better. I really enjoy the religious imagery and overall political messaging. Not every song totally landed for me, though, which is why it's only an 8.
3. Nearer My God - Foxing (2018)
Tumblr media
Rating: 6/10
Fav Songs: Nearer My God, Five Cups, Lambert
Notes: I listened to this album on a rainy Sunday morning while finishing up a book, and Id say that's the perfect way to listen to it. Good mellow vibes and sweeping, gentle instrumentals- but nothing that really stood out or knocked my socks off either.
4. The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess - Chappell Roan (2023)
Tumblr media
Rating: 9/10
Fav Songs: Pink Pony Club, HOT TO GO!, Red Wine Supernova
Notes: I love "Pink Pony Club" so much that I've drafted up tattoo concepts based on it. The rest of the album does not disapoint. The high songs are danceable, the low songs still catchy as hell. Part Madonna, part funk, part Lemon Demon somehow?? Its great. However, I think the opening song is awful. I couldn't even finish it. Only thing keeping it from a 10/10.
5. Born in the U.S.A. - Bruce Springsteen (1984)
Tumblr media
Rating: 🫡/10
Fav Songs: Downbound Train, No Surrender, Dancing in the Dark
Notes: I won't even try to rate this album because it's so classic and contextual. I really love it though- especially with an eye on the way Springsteen satirizes, critiques, and yet appreciates masculinity. It's crazy to me that people really listen and take him at face value- True Patriotic Americanism- ignoring any obvious commentary on war, the working class, racism... Anyway, he's good! I already knew it but this really gave me a deeper appreciation.
6. Fine Line - Harry Styles (2019)
Tumblr media
Rating: 4/10
Fav Songs: Cherry, Fine Line, Adore You
Notes: Another tame background listen! A few bangers but the rest is very meh. Also included my second song skip on this list so far (Canyon Moon) which is never great! I will probably not listen to any more Harry but maybe.
7. Mystére - La Femme (2016)
Tumblr media
Rating: 7/10
Fav Songs: Ou ve la Monde, Sphynx, Mycose
Notes: First foreign language (french) AND recommended album for an artist that I'd never listened to! Really cool stuff here, very experimental- some of it is more straightforward electronica, some of it almost 60s sounding Halloween beats, some psychedelic rock- but I enjoyed almost all of it!!
8. Put Yourself Back Together - Real Friends (2013)
Tumblr media
Rating: 3/10
Fav Songs: Skin Deep, I've Given Up On You
Notes: Chose a short one because I wanted to end January on 8, however, I found this album very disappointing. All in a row like this, the whininess of Real Friends REALLY starts to grate after about 3 songs. And its way beyond your usual pop punk whininess too. By the albums end I was just grateful it was over. I've Given Up On You still goes hard tho.
9. Self-Titled - Vagabon (2019)
Tumblr media
Rating: 7/10
Fav Songs: Flood, Full Moon in Gemini, Water Me Down
Notes: This album is objectively good, but the best songs are unfortunately the songs I had already stumbled on. That isn't to say there wasn't some treasures to be found- and on continued listens I think "In A Bind" could grow higher in my tastes. Overall pretty damn good! Vagabon doesn't disapoint and I'll listen to her newest album at some point as well.
10. The Slow Rush - Tame Impala (2020)
Tumblr media
Rating: 9/10
Fav Songs: Borderline, Breathe Deeper, On Track
Notes: GREAT album. I used to really not understand the draw of Tame Impala, then one day I heard Eventually and was like... Huh. This album does not disapoint. Even the songs that don't stand out much are so fucking funky. It's impossible to not vibe. I listened to this mostly while cleaning the kitchen at work and I was like, half-dancing for parts of it. Great stuff. I'll listen to Currents at some point too.
11. Pin-Up Daddy - Rett Madison (2021)
Tumblr media
Rating: 10/10
Fav Songs: Pin-Up Daddy, God is a Woman, Emily
Notes: Finally.. a 10/10 album. Pin-Up Daddy is a song that impacted me very deeply upon first listen, and the rest of the album is just as emotionally gutting. First album of this list to bring me to tears! It's so good. Definately not a listen-in-the-background album. Rett demands involvement in the stories she is painting you.
12. You Are All I See - Active Child (2011)
Tumblr media
Rating: 7.5/10
Fav Songs: Hanging On, High Priestess, You Are All I See
Notes: A friend recommended Hanging On to me an eternity ago and it's been a go-to "in my feels" song ever since. This whole album is really good- mixing R&B with an 80s synth that seems to understand 80s synth on another level, and add this mans beautiful, Bon Iver-esque falsetto and its a dream. However- the worst bits of this album are definately the parts you can tell he's trying to... *Sound* more black than he is. Lol. There's really no nice way to say it. Also! This album led me to Ellie Gouldings cover of "Hanging On", and this next bomb of an album...
13. Halcyon Days - Ellie Goulding (2013)
Tumblr media
Rating: 1/10
Fav Songs: Hanging On (lol)
Notes: I think I've avoided this album subconsciously. "Lights" is a rare 10/10 album for me, and has been since it dropped. But this albums single track, "Anything Can Happen" is probably one of my most hated songs of the 2010s. Its awful. And I'm sorry to report that the rest of this album is just as bad- giving "overproduced" a new standard, in the meantime losing every appealing and unique thing about Ellie Gouldings pure ARTISTRY in "Lights". The dubstep beat running through the background of every GD song on this album is SO grating and was actually starting to piss me off. "Joy" is my third skip song of this list, it's so intolerably corny. The gem of this album keeping it from a total 0 is her cover of "Hanging On", which is very different from the original, but seems to be the only song on this whole album that she put even an OUNCE of Pussy into. God.
14. Miss Universe - Nilüfer Yanya (2019)
Tumblr media
Rating: 7.5/10
Fav Songs: Heavyweight Champion of the Year, Baby Blu, Safety Net
Notes: Great album that I listened to while deep-cleaning the kitchen at work. Its high energy makes it good for cleaning, and I really liked the pacing/content of the album breaks. They were really atmospheric. Her vocal range is just INSANE and you can really feel the impact of Turkish music on her stuff.
15. Self-Titled - Elliott Smith (1995)
Tumblr media
Rating: 7/10
Fav Songs: Good to Go, Needle in the Hay, The Biggest Lie
Notes: Another great album for Doing Tasks at work! I've been meaning to get to some Elliott Smith forever- he is, after all, SO influential and such an iconic Portland figure. I have to say I was really vibing to his stuff- but nothing on this album really jumped up to stand out to me. That said- it's amazing how you can feel his influence on many other artists- Phoebe Bridgers, Frank Ocean, Bright Eyes... I especially felt that he was very similar in tone to Sufjan, whom I adore. Great rec!
16. Self-Titled - Tracy Chapman (1988)
Tumblr media
Rating: 💧/10
Fav Songs: Fast Car, Mountain O' Things, Talkin' Bout a Revolution
Notes: I LOVE Fast Car, so I gave this album a listen and I was not disapointed at all. I don't know why I wasn't expecting it to be SO political when, in my opinion, Fast Car is VERY politically relevant. But Tracy has a lot to say about being black, being poor, being a woman- not even to mention being gay! In the 80s!! This was trangressive stuff then and I can't possibly rate it now- except to say that this album is excellent, worth a listen, and contains so much more than just Fast Car can offer.
17. Fantastic Planet - Failure (1996)
Tumblr media
Rating: 5/10
Fav Songs: Dirty Blue Balloons, Saturday Savior
Notes: This was another blind suggestion for a band I've never even heard of! Overall, it was very cool and super different from my usual stuff. If you're into heavy grunge, this is probably an awesome album- but as it is, I'm a bit more into softer grunge/shoegaze, myself. That said, this album has a lot to offer musically, and I even watched a biographical video on Failure afterwards, because I was so interested in their production process. This album also made me really want to listen to a full Tool album...
18. Lateralus- TOOL (2001)
Tumblr media
Rating: 8/10
Fav Songs: Schism, The Grudge, Reflection
Notes: This album rules. I got stoned as hell and listened to it while doing a mindless task (filling my queue) and it feels like I really heard all the instruments and vocal depth of Tool for the first time. Not every song totally captured me, but considering Tool is known for their LONG songs, I'm surprised it's as engaging for me as it is.
19. Crimes of Passion - Pat Benetar (1980)
Tumblr media
Rating: 4/10
Fav Songs: Wuthering Heights, Hit Me With Your Best Shot, I'm Gonna Follow You
Notes: This album is certified mid. Her cover of Wuthering Heights is inspired and obviously HMWYBS is iconic but this album offers little else besides a few decent guitar riffs. Any given song had a few really clunky lyrics and this is just not as refined as I know Pat Benetar can be.
20. Caught in Still Life - VAULTS (2016)
Tumblr media
Rating: 8.5/10
Fav Songs: One Last Night, Cry No More, Hurricane
Notes: Ive been really enjoying One Last Night for years now, so I was more than happy to give this a listen and it didn't disappoint. Vaults basically encapsulates my favorite musical themes; electronic percussion mixed with pure instrumentals like strings, piano, harps, or chimes, plus clear, lovely vocals... It's just excellent. 8 just because not every song totally landed.
21. Currents - Tame Impala (2015)
Tumblr media
Rating: 9/10
Fav Songs: Eventually, Disciples, The Less I Know the Better
Notes: Told you I'd listen to Currents too! I liked this album a bit more than The Slow Rush, I just feel like it was better put together and the flow between songs is just perfect. It's just really good.
22. Modus Vivendi - 070 Shake (2020)
Tumblr media
Rating: 7/10
Fav Songs: Morrow, Rocketship, The Pines
Notes: I think this is my first hiphop album of this project which is insane because I love a good hiphop album. This is a good example of how the flow between songs can really make an album listen a deeply pleasant or unpleasant experience. I didn't love too many specific songs on this album, but I loved the album as a whole which can carry a lot. I really enjoy 070 Shake.
23. Proof of Life - Joy Oladokun (2023)
Tumblr media
Rating: 8/10
Fav Songs: Changes, Somehow, Friends
Notes: Another album from someone I'd never heard of, and another great listen! Joy was recommended to me as someone who likes Taylor Swifts 'Folklore' album. I would not say that it was very much like Folklore, but it was still wonderful. She has a voice like velvet and a folky way with words. 'Changes' could be my pandemic anthem.
24. 3.15.20 - Childish Gambino (2020)
Tumblr media
Rating: 2/10
Fav Songs: 42.26, 35.31
Notes:
25. Strange Trails - Lord Huron
Tumblr media
Rating: 7/10
Fav Songs: Meet Me In The Woods, The Night We Met, Dead Man's Hand

I um...I don't have a problem. (I have four entire albums for these men. I probably need psychological help.)
Sleeping Beauty- Any hurdles you've had to go through in your relationship?
You mean other than S2 of OM? Um. Well.
So, part of Delphi's lore with Dabi/Touya is that she met him while she was studying abroad in Japan. And they got...pretty close. And then he was being chased by heroes once and left her in a train station alone. And then she didn't see him for like...five years after? During which she went through the exchange program in the Devildom. (I like to have my harem all together~)
But there's also the whole marriage thing that I went over in my last ficlet. And I still haven't decided if Simeon is going to just...stay an angel forever? Or if he's going to fall in Delphi's story. Because S4 is fucking me up. Because Si.eon is twice the angel Michael will ever be and you can rip that from my cold dead hands. (I know you're a Michael simp, babe. But if I ever got to meet him? And God? I would fist fight them both.)
Wow that was long! Thanks for playing, Jes!! 😘 If you read this far, you deserve a cookie. 🍪
Send me a Disney movie!

it's been a while rhythm!! how is everyhting??
i have yet to read some of your latest works, but life has been a little bit hard lately and i found myself missing our dearest pack 🥺 unfortunately i don't have time rn to re read my fav one shots, but this week it's being kind of a parenthesis and i can breathe a little 一some needed rest before i dive in university life again.
i've seen what other anons said about the girls gang (wereroomies, i mean) hanging out together and supporting each other. even with their hobbies, and i keep finding confort on pretty because i feel like i have so much in common with her. those asks helped me a lot because university is a lonely period, at least at the beginning and in my experience, so reading about how they enjoy their time together made me realise i have to appreciate those little moments i have with my friends (who aren't studying the same degree as me, unfortunately i don't see them as much as i would like to).
these months have made me more mature, but in a good way. i have been carrying a very heavy load for years and little by little i'm noticing how it weighs me less and less, so i'm very happy rn. i'm in that kind of mood when i want to spread that happiness with everyone (so if you're reading this, known that you're amazing and loved and you deserve so much more that you think you do ♡).
oh, i also remember one time you mentioned that one hobby that pretty has is crochet!! i started this summer haha i crochet when i'm stressed, with a nice playlist 一which reminds me of skz's comeback!! what are your fav songs?? (mine comflex and cover me 🤭).
what i wanted to ask (this is a very chaotic ask i'm sorry) is how did pack members cope with loneliness and stressful seasons in university?? especially when they felt like there was no one they could tell how they felt, if that was the case...
i know i don't interact a lot, but i missed talking to you. have a nice day/night rhythm!! ily (❤️‍🩹)
things are doing fine! i'm tired but soon i'll be on holidays so i'll be able to rest lots hopefully~
don't worry, baby. my works will be there for when you have time💜💜💜 no need to stress about that, you've got enough of that in your life.
makes me happy that you can find some comfort in the silly conversations we've got going on in this blog. i'm glad people are kind enough to send in their thoughts and we can just have some fun with them together!
good friends should really be appreciated, and it's always worth it to nurture and maintain friendships, even if it's in a sort of cactus way (as in, maybe you don't meet often, but you know you can rely on them when you need them, you know what i mean?). that's really especial, so i hope you get to enjoy it to its fullest!
yes! i like to think pretty does crochet as a hobby, she just seems like she would, for some reason??? so yes hahah. i want to include it on an actual instalment at some point. it's cool that you picked it up too, though! it's really fun imo. putting a nice playlist or some video essay on youtube while you crochet is a good way to de-stress mewhehe.
i think my fave songs from the album so far are megaverse and social path (kor ver). all of them are good, but those two have me in a chokehold for sure.
as for your question...... here's the thing. werewolves live in packs for a reason, right? so, their pack was probably the biggest support they had in moments like those. i suppose they would've tried to lean on their friends, or to try and step back for a moment to put things into perspective. engaging in activities outside of school was probably a good outlet as well (like going on wolf runs, or going for a walk), just things they could do to remind themselves that there was life outside uni, and that ultimately it wasn't a race, they were there to learn, so as long as they learnt a bit, they could take their time.
i feel like Chris particularly would've struggled a lot, considering he was living alone alone during his first and second year. i can see him making the extra effort to meet with changbin and jisung weekly (or every two weeks) to avoid lone wolf syndrome.
thank you for dropping by and leaving this message! i hope that weight you're carrying continues getting smaller and smaller💜
